Mr. Brightside- The Killers

And I just can't look - it's killing me
And taking control
Jealousy, turning saints into the sea
swimming through sick lullabies
Choking on your alibis
But it's just the price I pay
Destiny is calling me
Open up my eager eyes
'˜Cause I'm Mr. Brightside

After several hours of last minute wedding preparations, Jo met up with Bela and Ruby at the bar. It was already crowded and the girls had a hard time pushing their way through to get to the bar. Garth waved them over as soon as he caught sight of them and started waving his hands at the couple sitting in front of him, gesturing for them to make room for the three approaching girls. By the time they sat down at the bar, Dean had walked over and had their drinks waiting for them.

"Hey, thanks," Jo said offering him a smile as he handed her a beer. He hadn't come back to the apartment after his scene with John and she had been worried.

"No problem," he said trying not to make eye contact. Jo's feelings were hurt but she never knew why she expected more from him. Maybe someday she'd learn her lesson.

"Hey!" Becky called as she moved towards them "I'm so glad you guys are here. Mind if I join you?"

"Not at all,"Ruby replied but Bela lifted her eyebrow.

Jo turned away from the bar and waved at the stage to let Gilda know she was there and the girl grinned widely when she saw them. The band was knocking out a cool rendition of "This is Gospel" by Panic! At the Disco and all three girls quickly found themselves singing along.

Becky kept waving until she caught Chuck's attention and he smiled and winked in their direction as he continued to play through the rest of the song. Jo laughed at how Becky loved to be in love. First Sam and now Chuck. In that one moment, she envied the girl.

Jo turned in time to see Bela notice something that caused her to roll her eyes and groan under her breath.

"What's wrong, Bel?" she asked, with amusement glinting in her eyes. The wedding had Bela on edge and any little thing seemed to set her off.

Bela shook her head. "That stupid redhead bimbo is back."

She threw her head to the right and Jo's gaze followed in that direction until she found what she was absolutely positive Bela was irritated about. Ugh.

"Oh God, not Anna Milton again.."

Jo snorted and took another sip of her drink. "I hope to God he doesn't even think about taking her home tonight. Who knows where she's been!"

Ruby laughed and then her eyes took on an evil glint. "You know, Jo, it would probably serve him right with all his man-whoring."

"You're absolutely right, my friend. It would teach him a good lesson about being more selective but still…for the sake of his health, I really hope he doesn't," Bela said haughtily "Especially out of the need for comfort at his father's situation."

All three girls nodded in agreement, before Jo added "Yeah, well you're not the one who has to see them in the mornings. Most times, it's the most pathetic thing I've ever seen. Every girl, every morning, it's the same thing. They get up and go to the bathroom and then they're out of our apartment faster than you can say 'skank'. You know, sometimes, I wonder what he says to them to make them leave so fast but on the other hand, I don't think I really want to know."

Bela just shook her head. "Our already low opinion of him would sink even lower if we knew. So it's probably better that we don't."

They both laughed and clinked their glasses together in a mock toast. They watched with equal disgust as Anna reached across the bar to touch Dean at every possible opportunity. Much to the girl's chagrin, Dean didn't seem to mind being fondled and rewarded Anna with a heart stopping grin.

"Oh God, here we go." Bela said as she downed the rest of her drink before slamming it on the bar loud enough to catch Dean's attention.

"Yes, Queen Bela, can I help you?" Dean asked dryly walking over.

"Why yes, actually you can" Bela told him smiling sweetly, which didn't go over well with him as he kept looking back at Anna. "Hmm, I'm just not sure what to order now..let me think."

"Well?" he asked impatiently after a minute.

"What's the matter, Dean-o?" Jo chimed in. "Anxious to get back to your little trollop? You know it's actually grossing us out that you two can't seem to keep your hands off each other."

She was sure he was going to blast her but instead he turned his attention to her with amusement sparkling in his eyes.

"And if I am? Why are you watching? And why do you care so much about who I have my hands on?" he asked without a hint of sarcasm.

Ruby and Becky giggled and Bela looked at her expectantly.

"I-I-I" Jo stuttered. "I don't care. You can touch whoever you want."

He leaned over the bar, closer to where Jo was standing and said softly "I want you to remember you said that."

"Ok kids, stop fighting. Dean, get me another daiquiri." Bela commanded and waved him off with a hand.

"I can't believe him. He's infuriating." Jo huffed, feeling her face turn red with anger.

Bela looked at her with a serious look on her face. "So are you."

"Me? What did I do? He's the one..he's the one…" Jo excitedly stammered

"Exactly." Bela said primly. "And the sooner you accept it, the happier you'll both be."
