AUTHORS NOTE: Hey all, now that this chapter is done the setup is complete for the events of the next few, so thankfully there'll be more action and the chapters will be longer after this. I don't have as much time to write as I used to but I'm going to try to do one chapter a week from now on (lol).

Axton stared through the holographic tower in the middle of the table, and noted the worried looks on the faces of his companions sitting on the other side. He said what was on all their minds. "Uh, Angel? Are you insane!"

The holograph on the table expanded, showing the vault hunters the elevator that lead from the top of the tower deep into pandora. "I wish there was some other way. I'm sorry." her voice was a mixture of worry and insistence. She highlighted the large room at the end of the elevator shaft for them. "This is where the vault key is held, if you want to stop Jack from awakening the warrior, you must take the key."

"You're talking about attacking Hyperion's most heavily fortified position on Pandora," said Roland, a grim look in his eyes as he studied the hologram while leaning on his clasped hands.

"Might as well ask us to attack Jack's moonbase while we're at it," grumbled Lilith.

"Instead of going after the key, why don't we just kill Jack?" suggested Maya.

Mordecai pointed out the window at the giant H floating next to the moon. "Good luck with that! Well, if you have a sniper rifle that can reach the moon, I'll give it a shot."

"Can't you just shut off the oxygen up there Angel," asked Gaige hopefully.

"I'm afraid not, it took years of planning just to get what little control I have over Hyperion's networks, and each day my influence grows weaker as their engineers work to regain full control."

"We don't have a moment to lose, is what you're saying," stated Axton glumly. They'd just returned to sanctuary and already it was time to leave. No rest for the wicked as they say.

A depressing silence fell upon the vault hunters, the pizzas they had ordered sat untouched on the table.

Roland clapped his hands together, surprising everyone. He beamed with determination and looked from one vault hunter to the next. "I have a plan, but we're going to need some help..."
