Magical Source
Troy's hand was shaking as he reached out for his sword, lying with the weapons of their predecessors. He looked at his hand, and then grabbed his wrist with his other hand, trying to steady himself.
"I'm afraid…," he muttered to himself. He turned and looked around, but nobody was there. He shook his head and turned back, grabbing his sword, but the blade was shaking. He dropped it, letting it fall onto the floor of the cave.
"No…," he muttered, shaking his head. With his left hand he rubbed some of the sleep out of his tired eyes, "No!" he shouted, his voice reverberating off of the cave walls, "I can't be afraid! I can't be! There are so many people out there right now, all of them living in fear of this invasion…the Power Rangers fighting to save them just can't be afraid!"
He looked around the empty cave, and then left his sword lying on the ground. He walked over to his console and hit a few buttons on the touch screen. "Phantom Ranger…are you there?" he asked. "Did Noah's booster work? Can you hear us?" he called.
There was nothing.
He slammed his fist down into his leg, "Tommy? Andros? Casey? Zack? Cam? Anybody?" he shouted.
Nothing.
Panting, he walked back and picked up his sword from the ground. He tightened his grip and walked to the entrance of the cave. He took a deep breath and hit his Morpher with his hand, causing his helmet to appear on his head. He ran out.
Troy shouted and ran out from behind a building. A group of Metins that had cornered a few people under one of the working streetlights turned and looked at him, and then turned to the Ranger. Two of them went to their knees and turned their weapons around, firing from the shafts while the other Metins ran for Troy.
Troy shouted as he was struck three times, and then stopped. He parried one Metin's weapon and kicked its leg out before spinning and slashing a second Metin across the chest. He jumped back and pulled his Morpher down and then quickly opened his belt, grabbed a card, and loaded it.
"Shining Morph!" he shouted, transforming in a burst of gold light. He leapt out of it, slashing through two Metins with his blades as he ran for the ones who shot at him. They continued to fire, but he took it against his armor before sliding and slashing both of them across the chests, taking them down.
"Go!" he told the people, "Stay indoors, especially at night! We're doing our best, but please, stay indoors and stay hidden!"
The people ran, leaving Troy there, panting. As soon as they were out of sight, he fell to his knees, breathing harder.
He shook his head, "I can't…I can't stop…" He braced himself on his Shining Sword, "I can't stop yet…"
In the daylight, Noah and Emma fired from atop a building, taking down a number of Metins by striking them in the back. Ahead of them, Jake and Gia were fighting at the front of the Metins, keeping their focus. The two pronged attack was working and quickly wearing down the numbers of this troop, until they were finished.
"We need a better way," Noah said as he and Emma leapt down to join the other two.
"But what can we do?" Emma asked, "We're stuck fighting like this for the most part."
Gia nodded, "She's right."
"What if we just stepped on them with the Megazord?" Jake asked.
Noah held his hand up, "Wait…," he said. He looked to the sky, "We've seen them deploy troops," he said, "We know they keep deploying to keep their numbers up…"

Troops rode out of their ships on large anchor-like objects, being sent down onto the planet itself.

"You want to cut them off at the source," Gia said.
Noah nodded, "And I think I know what we can do. But it's risky."
"I say we do it," Jake said. "I mean…I've grown, I know not to take stupid risks anymore, but still, we're not getting anywhere at this rate. We need to make a move, no matter how risky it might be."
"Agreed," Emma said.
Gia nodded, "Let's hear it."
Troy leaned against a wall and panted. He could hear the marching feet of Metins around the corner, but didn't move yet. He took in another breath and pushed off the building, turning the corner. He drew his Shining Sword back and thrust it forward, shouting.
A blast of energy blew through the mechanical soldiers, clearing the street.
"Impressive," a voice behind him said.
Troy span around, lifting his weapons and swinging his Dragon Sword forward on instinct, but the brown armored figure caught it.
"Who are you?" Troy hissed, "Another soldier?"
"I am bodyguard to the Prince," he hissed, "Advisor and ally to the King. Dravo."
"And where does that place you? We just beat a General, after all," Troy told him.
"I am more than General Sydo could ever hope to be," Dravo hissed, pushing the sword back and punching Troy in the chest. Troy shouted as he was thrown down the street, his armor shattering from the impact of the fist.
Troy rolled to his knees, leaning heavily on his sword as he watched Dravo walk towards him, a sword in his hand.
"Prepare to meet your end," Dravo hissed.

The Skyship Zord flew through space, over the landscape of the moon, flying towards a number of the Vago Empire ships.

The four Rangers were at their controls, with Noah taking charge.
"How did they not detect us?" Emma asked.
"I used one of my cards," Noah said, "Camo Mirage. It cloaked us and got us past their sensors. Besides, we're technically one of their ships, I think. So that probably helped. Seeing an allied ship enter their radar? No real concern there, there's so many ships up here."
"So, if this fails?" Jake asked.
"Don't think about it," Noah said, "Please don't think about it."
"We won't fail," Gia asserted.
Noah nodded and pushed on his panel.
[Gokaiger 1. 5:51-6:01]
A Krave stood with two Metins aboard one of the ships, giving them growls mixed with beeps. It turned and walked forward, to where two Metins were manning the controls. An alarm was starting to sound.
The Krave nodded.
The ship, along with the others ships around them, began to fire their green beams out, bombarding the landscape of the moon as they aimed at the Skyship Zord, which flew right into the fire.

One ship came close to the Skyship, which turned and fired from its side cannons, blowing it apart.

The Skyship turned as the ships continued to fire. It rammed through the center of one ship, using the parts that would become the swords for the Megazord to cleave the ship in half. The Metins onboard let out cries mixed with beeps as they went down.
On one monitor the ship displayed as lost, along with numerous others. The Krave who observed this continued to growl and beep, and Vekar's voice could be heard booming, "All ships, stop them! Stop them now!"
The Krave threw its arm out.
The ships all began to fire on the Skyship, completely enveloping it in fire.
The Krave clenched its fist.
Out of the explosion came the Pirate Megazord, running along the surface of the moon. The four Rangers could be heard shouting as they came in to attack, swords drawn.
The Krave backed away in the cockpit, giving a nervous beep and growl.
The Megazord ran through the fire and leapt, cleaving through ships and evading their shots.

"We're doing it!" Jake shouted, pumping a fist in the air in victory.

The Megazord continued to jump and slash, and then started to fire from the blue Zord arm before coming in and kicking one ship, the ship that had the Krave. It kicked that ship into another, and into another, and then the three exploded as the Megazord leapt out.

The Megazord stood there, the Earth behind it.

"It worked!" Emma said happily.
"Alright, good," Noah said, "But we should retreat. We got a surprise attack in, and that's bound to slow them down, but we can't risk a longer fight."
"Sounds like a good idea," Gia said.
Jake nodded.

The Megazord split apart and the Zords receded into each other, and then flew back to the Earth.

"How could they do that?" Vekar shouted.
"They're smarter than I thought," Vrak hissed, "This shouldn't have happened!" He looked to his brother, "I feel your pain, believe it or not."
"Hexatrix!" Vekar shouted, turning to her. He pointed at the console, "Figure this out!"
"R-right away," she bowed and hurried over, lifting her datapad and working on both the pad and the controls.
Vrak looked at the Earth, and then turned to his brother, "We will make them pay. Dravo will crush them."
"I know he will," Vekar hissed.
Troy kicked off of the wall of the building and came down with a slash, but Dravo parried with his blade, making very little effort in doing so. He pushed back and knocked Troy to the ground in the process.
"You're weak, Red Ranger," he hissed, stalking towards Troy, "No more games. I'm ending you now!"
He lifted his sword and thrust it down, but found that it had suddenly stopped.
"What is this?" Dravo hissed in anger, pushing down harder.
Suddenly Troy was gone, and the blade struck the ground. Dravo looked around, and then tore his sword free, letting out a low growl of anger.
Troy looked around and lifted his sword defensively. He was alone in the middle of an alley.
"Please think about that," a woman's voice said, "Had we wanted you hurt, we'd have left you with him. We saved you."
Troy turned to see two people approach. One was a woman, the person whom had been speaking. The other was a man, older than her. There was something about the way he carried himself… He wore a tunic with an "S" on his chest.
"You can power down," the man said, "You're safe here. You're with friends."
"And just who are you two?" he questioned.
"I am Daggeron," the man said, "The Solaris Knight. I fought with the Mystic Rangers," he gestured forward to Troy, "I believe you have my lamp."
Troy held out his hand, summoning the Laser Lamp. He looked up. Daggeron nodded.
"I am Itassis," the woman said (note: just need the voice actress, who was also Morgana in SPD. The suit may not exist, and this is just playing it safer), "I am Daggeron's ally, and ward."
"I think you stopped being that years ago," Daggeron told her, crossing his arms.
"I will never cease to learn from you," Itassis replied. "I learned of courage and honor, but there is so much more."
Troy looked at the two of them and rose. His suit vanished and he walked towards them, "What is this about?"
"You were about to be destroyed, so we saved you," Daggeron answered.
"It's simple," Itassis said, "Can you not see that?" She took a few steps towards Troy and observed him, "Oh. You're tired…"
"I'm not," Troy said.
"You are. Do not lie," Itassis told him. She took a step back and looked to Daggeron, "This is the city he and his team protect. It's obvious what's going on."
Daggeron nodded, "You're wearing yourself thin trying to repel this attack."
"I have to!" Troy told him, "I have to protect everyone!"
"Where is your team?" Daggeron questioned him.
"I…I don't know," Troy admitted.
"Splitting up to fight may seem smart, but look at what's happened to you," Itassis said, "Your best chances are to fight as one."
"I've been a warrior for so long…," Daggeron said as he walked towards Troy, "Listen to me, because you can learn. You need a new way to approach things, or you're going to be destroyed. Yes, your city is in peril, but if you fall, what then?"
"But if the city and the people are destroyed, then what's the point of a team of Rangers?" Troy questioned.
"He speaks the truth," Itassis said.
"Quiet," Daggeron told her, turning back to Troy, "The people need you. They need you to be able to stand and fight for them. Destroying yourself won't help anyone except the enemy."
"You do show courage, however," Itassis said.
Daggeron turned to her, "I don't know if you've ever learned the difference between courage and foolishness," he said.
"They overlap," Itassis said, "At least in cases like this."
"I'm going back out," Troy told them. Daggeron grabbed him by the back of his coat.
"No. You're not. Not yet," Daggeron said.
"Let go," Troy told him, turning to face him.
"I've seen brashness before, stupidity before. It's worked out in the end, but this is much different. This is the result of what happened when every Ranger was forced to band together. This is on a scale far greater, and I can't let you just go out there without learning something, or gaining something new."
"And what do you expect to get me to learn?" Troy questioned.
"The meaning of courage," he said, "And how it differs from how you are now."
"Alright, we're coming down to land," Noah told them, "Looks like we lost them in the clouds. Thanks, Emma."
"No problem," the Pink Ranger nodded.
[Gokaiger 3. 1:05]
A Vago Empire ship appeared out of the clouds.

The Vago Empire ship collided with the back of the Skyship Zord.

The cockpit shook and the Rangers shouted.

The ship continued on past the Skyship and then turned around, following them. It opened fire, but struck around the ship.

The ship continued to fire.
[Gokaiger 3. 1:25-1:28]
The Skyship fired from the cannons on its side, exchanging fire with the Vago Empire ship until it was finally struck. But the Skyship took hits too.

The Rangers shouted as they were tossed around the cockpit, grabbing onto the panels for support.

The Skyship plunged into the ground, dragging and tearing it up.

The Zord finally came to a stop.

The Rangers were ejected and flew through the air before landing on the ground on their backs, groaning.
Metins ran and stopped, and then a crimson and purple armored figure walked with them.
[Gokaiger 3. 3:43-3:45]
The creature held one hand out, "Revenge time, Rangers," it hissed, throwing its arm up.

"Revenge? For destroying your ships?" Gia called.
[Gokaiger 3. 3:51-3:53]
"Of course," it hissed, drawing its arms in, "Prepare…"

"Let's use Legacy Mode," Gia said. She thrust her hand out, taking Saba as the others nodded, doing the same. In a flash of gold they stood in their new armors.

The creature tilted its head in slight confusion.

Noah flipped his firearm into hand and fired a few times.
[Gokaiger 3. 4:11-4:12 (note: edit in lasers)]
The creature looked as Metins were shot down.

The Rangers shouted and ran forward as Noah holstered his weapon on his hip.
[Gokaiger 3. 4:13-4:16]
The creature threw its arm up, "Attack!" it hissed. Metins ran forward and the creature walked after them.

The Rangers used their weapons to slash through the Metins with some ease, while the creature just kept walking towards them. Noah caught the axes of two Metins and pushed them back before spinning and slashing them in the chest. Emma leapt off his back and slashed through a Metin as she landed. She span and slashed at a Krave.
Jake swung his Power Staff low to sweep one's legs out, and then caught an axe against the staff. He pushed back and kicked it before spinning around and driving his weapon into the downed Metin's chest.
Gia span around and continued to slash at the Metins around her before stopping and pointing Saba at the monster, "Come on!" she shouted. She ducked a Krave's slash and slashed it twice quickly to drop it.
"Magmamander," the monster hissed, lifting its claw, "I want you to know the name of the warrior who destroys you."
"I'm pretty sure we've heard that one before," Gia said.
The monster swung its claw, but she caught it on Saba. The mechanical tentacle-like object hanging down his back snuck around, slashing Gia in the back. She shouted, lowered Saba, and then took a slash to the chest, throwing her to the ground.
"Gia!" Jake shouted, running in her direction. He shouted and leapt over her, coming down at Magmamander (Zeo Gold), slashing, but he caught it on his claw. The two struggled for a while, turning (Magmamander's back to the camera, hiding Jake. When he comes back out the other side, Mega Black). Jake was pushed back s they finished rotating and struck to the ground as well.
Noah ran towards them and slid to a stop, lifting the blue Quasar Launcher (LG Blue). He shouted and fired, but the explosion did little to stop Magmamander as he walked through it. "No way!" Noah shouted as he lowered the weapon (Mega Blue) and swapped it out for the Lion Hammer.
He shouted and ran forward (NS Yellow), swinging up, but Magmamander caught it on his claw. Magnamanger shouted and kicked Noah back, landing him on the ground by the others.
Emma ran for Magmamander and swapped weapons for the Spiral Saber. She leapt (Space Red-female version) and slashed, but the monster caught it on his claw. He pushed her back and a shot from the mechanical tentacle sent her down.
"And now it's over," he hissed.
"Anyone can run in and get themselves destroyed and call it courage. They can think they're being noble and doing the right thing, but it's not necessarily right," Daggeron said.
"And what is right, then?" Troy questioned.
"Fear can still be found in courage," Daggeron said, pointing out towards the city, "Out there there are Metins subjugating the people. They can be afraid, and should be. But among them, if someone tries to protect their family and fight off the Metins, they don't need to be fearless. Sometimes fear is what you need. Fear tells you if you're doing something smart or stupid.
"Of course it's stupid to fight without a weapon, to fight greater numbers. But for a man to protect his family, to try to give them a chance, there's courage in that. He may be destroyed in the process, but he goes in knowing that, and knowing that his family is worth more.
"You go out there with only one goal. Save everyone, no matter what it does to you. You're not going out there thinking about yourself, you're thinking about everyone else. But what happens if you're lost? The team suffers, the people suffer. You don't think about that.
"It can happen either way, but think about it. The man who gives himself for his family is going to do everything he can to make it back to them. He's not just thinking about their escape, and then nothing more. You have to go out there and think about the future. What happens if you're lost? What happens if you can keep fighting? You have to keep fighting, and keep it in mind. Take it to heart, and remember that you're not just fighting to save a few families, and then you can be destroyed. You have to keep fighting, and can never be stopped. Not until it's over.
"Remember that. Rest. You may hurt them now, but you'll save them later. If you try to save them all at once, you'll be destroyed, and they'll never be saved. Remember that."
Itassis walked towards Troy, holding out something for him. "A ring?" he asked (note: if possible get prop from Magiranger, or replica, just for mythology joke).
She nodded, "Wear it, and trust me."
He took it and looked at it, and then slid it onto his finger.
"Your friends need you," Daggeron said, holding his hand out, "Go."
Troy was gone.

Magmamander span around, his tentacle whipping out, coming up, and then driving straight into the ground.

The four Rangers were engulfed by an explosion. All of them shouted and were thrown clear, Legacy Mode fading, leaving them lying on the hard ground in normal Morphed form.
Troy teleported in front of them and turned to see them, "Everyone!" he called, crouching down by them, "Are you guys ok?"
[Gokaiger 3. 17:04-17:06]
"There's five!" Magmamander shouted, throwing his claw forward and unleashing a blast of fire.

Troy span around and drew his Morpher out, "Mega Morph!" he called. The flames struck at his Morpher, but peeled around him as he transformed.
Magmamander shouted and whipped his tentacle out.
Troy loaded a card and thrust his Morpher forward, "Twist Tornado!" he shouted. Wind erupted forward.
[Gokaiger 3. 18:14-18:15]
The next thing Magmamander knew, his tentacle was wrapped around his body and he was struggling to break free. He shouted in annoyance.

"Everyone, are you ok?" Troy asked.
"We'll be fine now," Gia said.
"Are you ok, though?" Noah asked, "We couldn't reach you."
"I'll explain later," he said. "When did you try to reach me?"
"This morning."
"I was fighting alone," he said, "Explain later."
The Rangers nodded. Noah slotted a card, "Press Shower!"
[Gokaiger 3. 18:27-18:29]
Blasts of water tore at the ground before erupting underneath Magmamander. He shouted as the water struck.

"Twist Tornado!" Emma called as she slotted a card.
[Gokaiger 3. 18:35-18:36]
A pink tornado overtook Magmamander, and he shouted in pain.

"Rope Plant!" Gia and Jake shouted as they slotted together.
[Gokaiger 3. 18:39-18:41]
Vines erupted forward, slamming into Magmamander repeatedly.

Magmamander landed on the ground, groaning as he was untangled. He sat up and looked as the Rangers approached. Troy looked at his hand and thrust it up, "Let's see what this does!" he said.
The ring shone through his glove, and then images appeared in front of each of them. They were the Magi Staffs.
"These are the weapons of the Mystic Force Rangers," Noah said as he took the blue one into hand.
Troy nodded, "I met one of them," he said as he took the red one, switching it to sword mode.
"Well, let's use them then," Gia said as she switched to crossbow mode.
The five Rangers ran forward, shouting (flash into Mystic Rangers as they run, then stay during the entire fight, unless otherwise noted).
Red leapt forward, slashing Magmamander across the chest. He shouted and swung his claw, but Blue's staff caught the claw. Noah pushed up and gave Jake an opening with his axe staff, followed by Emma with a staff strike, and finally Gia with a crossbow blast at pointblank.
Magmamander stumbled back. Noah shouted and leapt forward, slashing him down the chest with the staff mode. He span around and slashed at one of the monster's legs, stumbling him around.
The four Mega Rangers came together, holding the staffs of the Mystic Force Rangers.
Magmamander looked to see Troy coming down, shouting. He slashed Magmamander down the chest. Magmamander shouted and fell backwards as Troy remained crouched there, sword down from the slash (back to Mega Red).
The five Rangers came together and Troy looked at the weapon in his hand, "Thank you Itassis."
[Gokaiger 3. 19:38-19:52]
Hexatrix pulled the trigger of her gun-like attachment.
The cannons emerged from the flagship and fired down to the Earth with their violet beams. Magmamander and three Kraves that had been felled earlier in battle were struck. They all grew to massive size (note: cut out Gokaigers in foreground. Already noted in previous chapter about how the footage should be and how this is possible).

"Alright, let's summon the Megazord," Troy said.
"The Skyship is damaged," Noah said, "We took it to space, surprised the fleet, and then one of them followed us and took us down."
"So we can't use it?" Troy questioned, "Then what do we do?" he muttered.
There was a blinding flash of red from his glove. Everyone looked at it, "Troy, what is that?" Emma asked.
"I think it's our hope," he said, holding his hand high.
A flash of red erupted out, looking vaguely like a winged creature of some sort. It let out a roar and flew away, and then flashed in the sky.

The Skyship Zord flew through the air, repaired.

"How did that happen?" Jake questioned.
"Courage," Troy said.
"That doesn't make sense," Noah said.
"Nevermind," Troy said, "Let's go!"
[Gokaiger 3. 20:24-20:39]
The Pirate Megazord stood complete and faced off with Magmamander and the three Kraves. Magmamander shifted around, just growling.
"Kraves, attack!" he shouted, turning and getting behind them.
The three Kraves lifted their arms and turned into spacecraft which flew down and bombarded the Megazord.

The Rangers were shaken inside as they grabbed their control panels.
"They can do that?" Jake shouted.
"They are biomechanical," Noah said, "I guess they can…"
"Don't lose faith," Troy said, "We push forward!"
[Gokaiger 3. 20:41-20:42 (ish…)]
They flew down again and fired.
[Gokaiger 3. 20:44-20:45]
Explosions struck around the Megazord as it tried to hold its ground.

The ring under Troy's glove began to glow again, and the same screech was heard.
[Gokaiger 3. 20:49-20:53]
Light erupted from the Megazord, circling out around it.
"What is that?" Magmamander shouted.
The Megazord drew up its blades.

"Sheath the blades," Troy said, "Something's happening."
[Gokaiger 3. 21:02-21:07]
The Megazord lowered its arms and began to glow.
[Gokaiger 3. 21:15-21:37]
The port on the back of the Megazord span, and then the arms opened, revealing wings with the pirate emblem imprinted upon them. The shins opened and claws came out over the feet. The chest then opened and a dragon head emerged, moving and roaring.
The Megazord stepped forward with its new dragon designs, "This is the power of the Mystic Force Rangers!" Troy shouted out at Magmamander.
"Mystic Pirate Megazord!" everyone shouted.
Magmamander approached and threw his arm out, "Krave ships, don't stop. Attack!" he threw his arm forward, sending the ships out.
The dragon roared and the Megazord took off, flying after the Kraves.

"What is this dragon?" Gia questioned.
"How did it come from the Megazord?" Noah questioned, checking his screen.
"I think I know," Troy said quietly.
[Gokaiger 3. 21:39-21:42]
They flew after the Kraves, but the ships moved.
[Gokaiger 3. 21:42-21:47]
The ships kept firing. The dragon let loose flames from its mouth, destroying one ship.
[Gokaiger 3. 21:49-21:57]
The Megazord flew forward, and then the dragon flashed and became its own beast, flying out as the Megazord fell. Its wing cleaved through one Krave, and then flames took out the other. It circled and flew back towards the Megazord.
[Gokaiger 3. 21:59-22:04]
The dragon entered the Megazord again, slowed the descent, and then closed up inside again as they landed.

"Let's finish this!" Troy shouted, hitting his screen, "Magical Source!"
[Gokaiger 3. 22:07-22:28]
The gear on the back of the Megazord span again and the dragon emerged. It flew forward and circled the monster, who shouted as rings of magic circled around him, binding him and crushing him.
The dragon returned to the Megazord, and as Magmamander fell, the Megazord turned, with the dragon sticking out from it.
"Magical Source, Mystic Force!" they shouted as the monster fell.

"Good job, Fireheart," Daggeron said as he and Itassis looked in the distance at the Megazord (note: use still image of Megazord, crop it, put buildings in the way, etc. to create this view, or something).

Troy looked at his hand, but the ring was gone. "The weapons are here," Noah confirmed in the command center, holding up the red Magi Staff.
"Good," Jake said, "More is always better."
"And now we have a new helper Zord," Emma said, "I'm sure the fights will be a bit easier now."
Troy nodded, "Yeah…let's hope so." He activated his console as the others teleported out. He waited a few moments, "Phantom Ranger?"

He hung his head and turned off the console before teleporting out.
