Ren took everyone inside to AL4s training facility where the fight tables where at. Kai seemed calm as always, but on the inside he couldn't wait to use his legendary Unit. Ren had and evil look on his face, but something was off about it. Aichi noticed this but couldn't figure out what it was.
Both fighters were ready to begin. "Stand Up..." "The" "...Vanguard!". With that the cardfight was underway. Kai was using a Kagero clan which came to a surprise to Aichi. He thought he would be using Narukamis. Ren was still using Gold Paladins as expected.
5 turns into the match and Kai was losing 5 damage to3. Ren had a full back field that he would sacrifice for Spectral Duke Dragon. "I use my vanguards skill." Said Ren. And with that his backfields was gone. "Looks like this is the end Kai" he said. The only unit on Kais field was Dragonic Overlord. And only 2 card in hand it would seem that the fight would end here.
"Perfect guard" said Kai. Ren was surprised that he could still defend against his attack. "You're just stalling. You don't have anything in your deck that I haven't fought against" said Ren. "Thats we're you're wrong" Kai said as he drew. "The preparations for your arrival are complete. Be reborn from the ashes of your previous form, and ELIMINATE ALL WHO OPPOSE YOU! I CROSSRIDE! DRAGONIC OVERLORD, THE OVERDRIVE!(pwr: 15000 citical: 1)" and here it was at last, Kais Legendary Unit. Everyone stood there in shock. Kamui had already seen this unit but still couldn't help but be shocked at the power they had acquired. "Get ready Ren, because this is the final turn" Kai said with a cocky smile on his face.
"Where did you get a unit this strong" Asked Ren. "This is my legendary unit." He said. "Now I attack your vanguard! Go Overlord!". " looks like you're still too naive, guard!" Said Ren placing a 25000 shield. Kai let oug a small sigh. "No you're the naive one. Overdrives skill! Counter blast 5! If his attack is blocked I skip the twin drive and give him plus 2 criticals and he stands up again." Said kai. "what kind of skill is that!?" Said Ren. "This isnt a limit break or ultimate break. This is an OVERBREAK! a skill that takes a units limit and takes him the next level! Now go Dragonic Overlord! The Overdrive attack. And if Dragonic Overlord is in the soul he gains an extra 5000 power if his over break is used". "20000 power on his own? And 3 criticals?" Said Ren with a disturbed look on his face. "That's not all, his keeps the twin drive as well and can't be guarded against with anything below a grade 2" said Kai. "Now Finish this over drive! Twin drive check, first, critical trigger. Second, critical trigger again.". "30000 power with 5 critical! Thats too much power!" Said Ren as he could do nothing against this power.
All 3 damage checks had no triggers. Ren had lost. He collapsed to the ground and began to laugh. "Looks like I was right to help Takuto." Said Ren. "Why do you say that?" Asked Aichi. "Because I got to experience such power. Too bad I left Blaster Dark behind to be able to be here" said Ren.
"Ren, so you're not under the control of the void?" Asked Kai. "Void? Is that what was controlling Takuto? Sorry but since I have my PSYqualia it had no controll over me" said Ren. "Then, why?" Asked Aichi desperate to know why he would do all this. "I guess I just fit so well playing the villain." Said Ren. "But that's not important, the next obstacle is waiting for you" he said as he pointed to the elevator.
