A/N: I'M BACK! Sorry about the delay, again. The other story is finished and i will be uploading it soon. Here's another chapter and I am back to working on it.

Chapter 26

DiNozzo Senior stands on the outside of the fence watching as two children walk the perimeter, one of them trailing her hand along the fence. He stands just out of sight from the two military personal following them. He shifts slightly just as the boy looks through the links. The two lock gazes and the boy stares, openly, his complexion paling considerably. He moves back out of sight and looks back as the boy shakes his head to clear it, obviously hoping that he was a mirage. He watches as the girl follow the boy's gaze but not seeing him. Senior smiles as the officers rush up to the children and survey the land. He smirks from his hiding place as the kids sprint back to the buildings, the girl keeping an eye on the fence and the land near to Senior. He waits perfectly still until the officers slowly head back to the dormitories and the admin buildings. Now he just has to wait for the boy to come to him. Trained to run. Trained to flee at the first sight of trouble or danger. Trained to fear. Trained to drop everything at a drop of a hat.

The boy had been difficult. All my life. I don't even know why I want the wretched boy back. Maybe because that pesky agent found MY hideout and busted in before I could move everything. I knew I should have moved the boy first. But that information was, is, more important than the boy will ever be. The boy is a liability and will be. Ever since my wife (or was it concubine?) died - I was stuck with a child I didn't want. At least when the women were alive I could forget about the thing. The women kept him quiet. I didn't have to listen to the whimpers emitting from the boy's throat when I entered the room. Not that I did that often. I barely saw the boy, thank god. Confined him a couple rooms. Spawn should be seen but not heard. And then not even seen often. Why would I want to enter the boy's rooms when there were other people to do it for me. There is no proof that the boy is actually mine anyway. I have been more than generous enough to give the boy a name. To allow the women to name him. What was it again? The same as me. But with junior on the end. The snivelling idiot would never live up to the DiNozzo name. Would never be strong enough to keep the strength of the DiNozzo name strong in the anti-law circles. That agent is welcome to the spawn. I just want to undermine that infuriating fed. Show him that the boy will not be safe wherever he puts him. A military academy. Like that's going to stop me getting to him. Military academy, boarding school. Maybe he's got the right idea, sending him away. Keeps the boy from being under my feet. I could forget about him, wouldn't have to worry about moving him when the feds get too close. That seems to be getting more and more often. Losing too many men. Maybe I should just let the boy go and stay with the agent. Wouldn't have to waste money on the thing. That's a thought. Tempting. Very tempting. But no. My pride and image is much too important. I need to keep face in the circles.

Anthony DiNozzo Senior watches at the fenced off compound as Cadets and officer step up their patrols. He saw the Commanding Officer single out the two kids to send them back inside, out of harms way. If intel the circles had provided was anything to go with, then the children would take everything into their own hands. All he had to do was wait. And change position in due course, staying in one position too long would just be inviting the military personal to find him.

Just after DiNozzo Senior shifts position for the fifth time after he had been first spotted by Tony. Tony and Abby slip out of the building right into the direct sight line of his biological father. The man watched as the two children slip right past the exorcising cadets and the supervising officers right toward the fence and toward his position. He watches as the two move at a crouching run towards an overlapping portion of the fence. He half hopes that the fence has now been electrified to shock the kids. It wouldn't be more than they deserve anyway. But no, they separate the strands easily enough and create a big enough gap from them to slip through. Not bad, the fence looks likes that no one had touched it; at least from this distance. He watches as the two f them sprint across the open ground to the same tree line where he is standing. But just further along. The two of them running into his arms would be too much luck or good fortune on his part. Of course he lost them as soon as they made the tree line but Senior knew enough about tracking to find them easily enough. Of course Senior neglecting the fact that Agent Gibbs would have taught them a thing or two about hiding their tracks. He manages to track to them. But something must have given him away. A twig snapping or a bush rustling. It might have been nothing but the wind but what ever it was it was enough to spook them and make them run. It would be disastrous if not Senior had planned ahead for this very eventuality. He had posted men down each path from the five path intersection. Tony and Abby are running straight into a lovely trap. It won't be long until the boy is back where he should be.
