Chapter twenty-five: The reveal of Afërdita's pregnancy.
It has been three months since the day that I found out that I was pregnant, and I've start to train my abilities, that came from my Angel side, when I was in two months into my pregnancy. I was already showing signs that I was pregnant and I was able to control my abilities better, but I was trying to find ways of going back home, in the process of this, so that I can think of a way of how to tell Ayanami that I was pregnant with his child. Luckily, I made them think that I was homesick to the point that they have to send me back to Hawaii. I was glad that they were doing this, but Ayanami was a bit worried about me because Afrim might come after me while I was back at home resting. I told him that I'll be fine, and that I'll be safe because of everyone, back at home, will still protect me. Plus, he could sense when I'm in danger so he could just go over there, by flying over where I was, when something bad happens to me.
"Welcome home, Afërdita." Blume said this as she hugged me. I smiled at this action, and hugged her back. "I'm just glad to be home again." I said this and pulled back from the hug. She must have noticed the baby bump because she looked at my stomach and put her hand on it. "And looks like you had fun while you were at Paris." I blushed brightly at this and laughed nervously. "Y-Yeah… He also did this." I showed her my engagement ring, and she widened her eyes at this. "Oh my God, Afërdita!" She said as smiled in happiness, and hugged me tighter. I start to giggle a bit at this, and slowly pushed her away. "Can you do a favor for me, Blume?" She gave a nod at this. "Sure, what is it?" She said as she picked up my luggage. "Can you not tell Ayanami that I'm pregnant?" Blume widened her eyes at this. "Wh-What?! But why don't you want to tell him?!" I looked down at the ground, and looked back at her. "It's because, in France, I barely start to train on how to control my Angel abilities with the Elder Angels. I don't want the training to stop because of me being pregnant." Blume looked shocked, and worried about this. "Okay… But if something happens. I'm going to tell Ayanami and telling him to get his butt over here, so that he could protect you." I sighed at this. I knew that I couldn't change her mind about this, so I just followed her to my and Ayanami's room. Once I arrived at my bedroom, I start to unpack. I knew that I have to pack them back after a month later, but I didn't mind it. Plus, it meant that I'll get extra new clothes when I went back to France.
I soon finish unpacking my stuff and start to walk around the mansion to see if they have changed anything while I was in France with Ayanami, which there were very little changes. Then I decided, after walking around the mansion for about an hour, that I should go shopping. I went to my room, grabbed my bag that was filled with the money I left inside it, and start to make my way to the main door. I stopped half way because Kuroyuri was tugging on my bag. This cause me to look down at her.
"Where are you going, Day-chan?" I smiled at her, and knelt down to her level. "I'm going to shop so that I could get some baby items. Do you want to come with?" She smiled at this, and gave a nod. "Yes please!" I gave a nod to this. "Okay, I'll wait here so that you can get your things." She gave a nod to this, and went to her room, and got her things. Then she came back with a small dagger. "Just in case some demons want to attack us." I rolled my eyes a bit at this. "But I learned a few things from the elder angels." She shook my head a bit at this. "I know, but Ms. Blume said that you're pregnant." I smiled a bit at this because I knew that she was just worried about me. I pat her on her head and said, "okay, now come on." I smiled at her, and start to walk to the mall. Luckily, it was spring when I came back so I was wearing some pants with a tank top.
We soon arrived at the mall, and I went to the baby store to get some items that I knew that I need when the baby comes. I went to another store to get some food for me and Kuroyuri, but I stopped when I felt Kuroyuri tugging on my bag. I looked down at her. "Follow me." She said as she start to lead me out of the mall. I stopped when I felt a demon nearby. I felt Kuroyuri tugging at my hand, but I ignored it and looked around. I soon stopped when I saw Afrim looking at me as he hid behind a tree. "Kuroyuri, go back to the mansion and bring the others." I whispered to her as I looked down at her. "Wh-What?! But-"
"I know that it's too dangerous for me to be on my own, but it won't be safe for you to fight for me all alone." She looked at me for a few seconds, and gave a nod. "O-Okay! I'll be back!" She start to run back to the mansion, and I start to walk to a graveyard because I knew that it wouldn't be wise for me to start it a fight with in nearby the mall.
Once I arrived at the graveyard, I turned around to see if he still followed me, which he did because I still sensed him. "Show yourself Afrim! I know you're following me." There was a dark chuckle in the air, and he stepped out of the shadows of the mausoleum. "So, we meet again, Princess Afërdita." I took a step back when he said this. "Why are you still following me? I thought that you got the message and stop going after the me." He chuckled at this. "What can I say? I'm a stubborn old mule." I glared at him when he said this. "Leave me alone, Afrim, or you'll regret it." He smirked at this, and took a step forward towards me.
This caused me to make pure fireballs, and took a step forward. "Stay back, and stop going after me! I'm warning you!" I told him as I made the flames form into a sword. He must have thought that I wanted a fight him because he charged at me. I let out my angel wings and tried to cut off his arm off without me getting close to him. I know that it was best for me to run away at this point, but I knew that I couldn't run away anymore because he will come after me either way. Whether I like it or not. Plus, I had to make sure that I don't bleed in the process of this fight because my blood had a stronger scent to it now. I made the flames turn into a bow and arrow, so that I can keep my distance from him and start to shoot arrows at him.
Sadly, he pulled out a demonic dagger, and threw it at me as he tried to aim for his head. I barely dodged it, which caused the dagger to cut my cheek causing it to bleed. This caused me to go in a bit of fear, and I instantly covered my wound with my hand so that I can make the bleeding stop. He must have noticed the change of scent from my blood because he smirked and start to laugh like a mad man. "I can't believe it! You're pregnant!" I got pale at this and took a step back away from him, but this caused him to take a step forward towards me. His face expression went to twisted happiness, which got me into total fear. "But that makes it all the more fun." The tone of his voice made a chill go down my spine. Then he charged at me with balls of darkness. I instantly put a barrier around me as I tried to chant a spell, that was in Latin, so that I can make my pure flames into a sword and make it more powerful. Afrim kept attacking the barrier as I did this, but this caused my body to form small cuts on my body. I winced in pain, but I continued to chant the spell.
"Pura Ad Arrow!" I widened my eyes at this as I saw a pure white arrow went for Afirm. I could recognized the voice, and who it belonged to. I looked towards the source, of where it was coming from, to see Ayanami holding a white bow. Then I heard a scream of pain from Afrim, which caused me to look to see that he had a white arrow going through his shoulder. "Afërdita, get over here!" I took a step back and the barrier moved along with me. "No!" Afrim tried to attack me, but he was shot with another pure arrow. This caused me to run, without me falling to the ground, to Ayanami, and I hid behind his back. "Y-You bastard! S-She was supposed to be mine!" I tried my best to hold my ground, but I couldn't because of my physical state. Ayanami must have noticed this because he wrapped his arm around me. Then he put his bow away, made his angel wings come out, and we flew away from Afrim.
We soon arrived back at the mansion, Ayanami start to bark orders at Castor, Frau, Haruse, Hyuuga, Katsuragi, Konatsu, Kuroyuri, Labrador, and Teito. The orders were mostly to guard any entry and exist so that Afrim won't have any way to get in if he tried to come to the mansion. Teito was ordered to protect me since he was closer to me. Ayanami guild me to our room, sat me down on our bed, and start to pace around. I could tell that he was calming down, which made me a bit worried. I thought it was best for me to stay quiet as he tried to calm himself down.
"Why?" I looked at him to see his face was filled with worry, and a bit of shock mixed in his eyes. "Why didn't you tell me that you were pregnant?" I gulped a bit when he said this. I was planning to tell him, but I was going to tell him when I felt that he needed to know. "I-I was going to tell you, b-but I was scared to." Ayanami looked confused at this. "Why would you be scared?" I took a deep breath and said, "because I wanted to train my angel side more, and I didn't want you to worry about me when I arrived back home." I said as I looked at my feet. I knew that I should have told him about my pregnancy before coming back to Hawaii, but I needed to get stronger. I didn't want to be the weak girl that needs to depend on others for protection. I heard Ayanami sigh, then footsteps walking towards me. I was caught off guard when I was hugged by him, which caused me to look at him in shock. "I'm just glad that you're safe, Afrëdita."
