Wow am I the worst or what? It's been almost three months since I've updated! I'm so sorry! I seriously hate it when other authors leave the readers hanging like that, so really guys I hate myself for doing this to you guys. I have been completely stuck on this story. I want to wrap it up, but I've got no idea how to! Ugh! Writer's block is the worst. Thanks for sticking with me guys! :3
To make it up to you, I'm working hard on finishing Dirty Daydreams, as well as putting finishing touches on new stories! You'll have an influx of fanfics from me! Be prepared for the awesomeness!
Well here's the finishing part of Riddle Me This. Did anyone notice I only used the most important people to tell the riddles? Everyone from Team Natsu (Erza, Gray, Happy, and Wendy kinda counts in my opinion), Lucy's best friend (Levy), one of her spirits to represent them all (Virgo), and Capricorn kind of stood in as the parental figure. Tell me what ya think! Thanks all!
This chapter kinda sucks in my opinion. It has it's funny moments, but mostly just fluff. We'll get to the hot stuff next. ;)

Lucy and Capricorn stayed a while longer, paying respects to her parents and reminiscing the past. After a while though, Lucy was concerned about the passing time. Surely, her game with Natsu wasn't finished yet was it?
"Lucy-sama. I beg your pardon, but I believe Master Natsu is awaiting you. You must go."
She smiled gently to him. "Of course. Thank you again, Capricorn. It really means a lot to me."
Capricorn smiled and bowed, slowly disappearing into a mist.
It was only after he had left that Lucy realized she didn't have a clue where to go next. Had Capricorn forgotten to give her the next riddle?
She was about to start panicking and call him back out, but she felt him call out to her beyond the spirit realm. His key glowed on her holster, reassuring her.
Look at your hand.
Bewildered, Lucy glanced down at her hand. They were just plain old hands like always. Soft and pale and slim, with her pink emblem standing out proudly.
Oh. Her tattoo. Fairy Tail! Go home!
Once again, Lucy returned to her guild. She never expected what awaited her there.
.
.
.
It was empty.
Lucy looked around the guild. The lights were on, and the place was decked out with decorations, food, and drinks- for what she had no idea. But not a soul was there, not even Mirajane.
How odd. Something is definitely up.
Trying not to think of the worst, because wouldn't it be just her luck to have some disaster like her whole family disappearing strike her in this moment, Lucy continued to search the guild hall. Suddenly she spied a note with something resting on it on top of the bar, where she usually sat every day. Cautiously walking over to it, she gasped. On top of the piece of paper was a velvet box. A box that looked suspiciously like a ring holder.
Quickly she read the note:
Finders, keepers.
Love, Natsu
Lucy held her breath as she opened the box slowly...
.
.
.
It was empty.
"What the hell Natsu?" She huffed. Was he playing a joke on her?
"What you don't like that box?"
Lucy swirled around at the voice that was right behind her, barely refraining from screaming in fright.
"N-Natsu! Don't scare me like t-" Lucy broke off when she noticed Natsu was kneeling in front of her on one knee.
"I mean I did say finders keepers so I couldn't just leave this super expensive ring in there ya know? But if you're saying you don't want it..."
"I want it!" She bursted, then blushed at her eagerness as Natsu chuckled at her.
"I know you've solved lots of riddles and completed challenges and you've answered lots of questions. But I have one more question for you if you really want this ring..."
Lucy held her breath...
"What's the secret password?"
Lucy groaned. "You're an idiot."
"Wrong!"
"Oh, hmm. How about 'fuck you'?"
"We'll get to that later."
"Natsu!"
"Geez do you want to marry me or not Luce?"
"I'm starting to rethink my decision actually."
Natsu frowned playfully. "That's a shame. Guess I'll have to find another mate."
Lucy guffawed. "Like you can."
Natsu pouted. "Luce~! Come on! Marry me!"
Lucy crossed her arms and turned her head the other way. "Not until you ask me properly, idiot."
"Fine."
Suddenly the room was clothed in darkness, and she couldn't see a thing. She heard lots of scuffling and before she knew it the lights were turned back on. But they were dim now, and a spotlight was trained on her. Since when did we have a spotlight...?
She also noticed Natsu wasn't next to her anymore. Mavis, what was he planning now?
She heard what she assumed was supposed to be music coming from her left. She glanced over that way and couldn't contain her laughter at the sight. Erza was directing a band. Currently she was scolding Gray for not moving his cold and stiff fingers across the violin more nimbly. Juvia was trying to play a flute, but was much more focused on how hot Gray looked playing an instrument. Elfman actually didn't sound too bad on the tuba. Romeo was having a blast blaring on the trumpet, although it didn't sound too good and occasionally fire would sprout out at the end of the bell. Bixlow was having way to much fun banging on all the drums in the back. More members were wretchedly playing other instruments, and Lucy had tears running down her cheeks. It sounded so, so very bad. It was hilarious.
Although it sounded like they were attempting to play a calming song, so she supposed she could give Natsu the brownie points for trying to be romantic.
She felt something flutter on top of her head and looked up. The three Exceeds were circling her and throwing red rose petals down onto her. She giggled, blowing them a kiss. More brownie points for Natsu!
Lucy started when flowers were practically shoved in her face. She looked up to see Natsu grinning at her, presenting her the bouquet. She took it and sniffed, smiling in appreciation. She really did love flowers.
Then Natsu took her left hand as he again went down on one knee. He gently kissed the top of her hand as he looked into her eyes. His eyes were searing, as was his touch. His whole presence made Lucy feel as if she was on fire. Perhaps it was the magic bond they now had, that she could feel the heat of his fire in herself too.
Natsu pulled out the ring finally, and Lucy could see it was not a normal ring. The thin band was a light rose gold, and instead of a white diamond, there was a pink diamond in the center. It was shaped in a circle with tiny rubies and white diamonds outlining it in an intrinsic design. It was one of the most beautiful rings she'd ever seen.
"Will you marry me Luce?"
Lucy sighed happily. She almost laughed at the suspenseful look on Natsu's face. Does he really think she would say no?
"Of course I'll marry you, you dolt."
Natsu leapt up in happiness as cheers echoed through the guild. He scooped her up and crushed her to him. Lucy just laughed before smacking a wet kiss on his lips. He eagerly complied, and she was so caught up in the knee-weakening kiss that she didn't notice him slipping the ring on her finger.
Finally they broke apart when people were obnoxiously clearing their throats. Natsu's gaze was heated, and Lucy herself had half-lidded eyes.
He whispered in her ear, "Maybe we can skip that third stage hmm?"
Lucy giggled. "We'll have to see about that. For now I think our nakama want to throw us a party."
Okay! There it is! But I have a question for you guys, a poll of sorts.
Since this story is kinda dragging for me- I really think I'll skip that two week wait thing. (If you all remember in the Draconic Marriage Ceremony, Stage three is when the mates separate for two weeks with no communication besides daily gifts.) I set it up so I could go either way with it, although I'm leaning towards skipping it. So who is all in favor for just skipping right over that and gettin to the good smut stuff?
Let me know!
