Chapter 26

I drove Lydia to school and we met up with Stiles and Malia.

"So you ran a background check and all you found was a speeding ticket?" Malia ask him.

"A speeding ticket signed by Theo's dad," he then stopped us all, "Who speeds, huh? People trying to get away from something."

"It's just one speeding ticket. You've never gotten a speeding ticket?" I asked Stiles.

"None, technically." Stiles dragged out his answer.

"How many would you have if your dad hadn't gotten you out of them?" Lydia asked backing me up.

"Sssssseventeen." Stiles finally answered.

"I'm Wyatt Tate here with the infamous Stiles Stilinski, do tell us, what is it that you're obviously running from since apparently all those with speeding tickets are running from some dark past." I asked him all news reporter like. He just sighed and rolled his eyes, but I laughed.

"I don't know Stiles," Malia started, "I see why you're worried. He's really hot. He's got like great hair, a perfect body. You should definitely feel threatened."

"I-I do. Now more than ever." Stiles shook violently.

"Yeah, Malia we still need to work on your...well your everything pretty much." I tried telling her.

"I mean I could torture him if you want?" she asked Stiles.

"No, no thanks."

"Are you sure? Pretty sure I could take him." she tried to convince him, but she was clueless as always.

"Alrighty then." Lydia tugged on my shirt.

"Well," I gave Stiles a pat on the shoulder, "she's all yours. See yah later." and then Lydia and I quickly walked away before Stiles could call for help.

"She's something else." Lydia told me.

"Oh you have no idea," we made inside the school. Finally, and I walked her to her locker, "Alright I'll see you later." I gave her a kiss and then left for my classes. I wasn't nearly as smart as her. I definitely didn't belong in her classes.

(time skip)

Finally free period with Lydia. I met her at her locker.

"How was your first class?" I asked.

"Well AP Biology might finally give me something I'll have to study for," she closed her locker and squinted her eyes, "but I'm up for the challenge."

"How about your class?" she asked.

"It was alright. I just think I'm have separation anxiety." I told her.

"From what?" she asked.

"You. We've spent literally all summer together and now school has pulled us apart." I told her.

"Okay, that's clingy. That's worse than clingy thats some Romeo status." she told me and then started to walk past me.

"Juliet!" I yelled to her making sure to cause a scene in the hallway, "What light through yonder window break! For she is the east and I the sun!"

"Oh my gosh," she ran back to me and covered my mouth, "First of all those aren't the words, and second of all I don't know you." I put her hand in mine and moved it away from my mouth.

"Sure, you don't know me, but one thing's for sure." I told her with a grin.

"Really? And what might that be?" she asked as I wrapped my arms around her.

"You can't stay away from me either," we came close together and were about to kiss when out of the corner of my eye I saw a girl. She looked terrified. She was clutching her locker for dear life, "Wait." Lydia opened her eyes.

"What?" she asked a little pissed off at me for ruining the moment.

"That girl looks like she might have or is having a heart attack." I told her. Lydia turned around and looked at the girl down the hall.

"Tracy?" I guess that's the name of the girl. Lydia started walking towards her and repeating her name. The girl didn't seem to notice her. Lydia finally grabbed her shoulder, "Tracy?" she was breathing heavily, but finally looked at Lydia, "Are you alright?" the girl just looked around at the ground not knowing what to say. Lydia helped guide Tracy, "How about we go outside."

Lydia and I took Tracy with us to go meet up with Mrs. Martin. We left Tracy in the hall while we spoke in Mrs. Martin's office.

"I know what parasomnia is mom," Lydia told her mother, but," Lydia lowered her voice to a whisper, "what about the feathers?" Early apparently Tracy threw up black gook with feathers in it. Ew.

"Night terrors have done far stranger things than eating her own pillows. I've already told her to take off the rest of the day, but she said she doesn't want to miss the first day of school." Mrs. Martin explained.

"Let me try," Mrs. Martin scoffed at Lydia, "I don't have anymore classes I can take her to a real doctor."

"Lydia, she's having trouble sleeping. If she needs help beyond that we will get her professional help," Mrs. Martin put emphasis on professional, "Got it."

"I couldn't agree more," Lydia smirked. We left her office, "Come on Tracy I have an idea."

"Where are you taking her? Your mom said-"

"My mom said professional help. That's why I'm gonna go ask Deputy Parrish to help." Lydia told me.

"Alright. I'll see you later," I gave her a kiss and then turned to Tracy, "Feel better Tracy."

(time skip)

It's that time. Malia is learning to drive. She can't even learn how to speak and now she's going to drive. Fun. I watched Malia stop and go and stop and go for a good half hour. She was finally coming to the end when she suddenly sped up, and I mean she was speeding straight towards the other students and me. She was getting dangerously close when I was preparing for the worst. I felt my eyes change and knew if I had to I would try to stop the car to save the other kids, but right as my claws came out she came to a screeching stop. Mr. Yukimura came out of the car rather quickly and steadied himself by grabbing the car. Malia came out next realizing exactly how bad she did.

"So, how'd I do?" she asked nervously.

"There's room for improvement." he told her as kindly as he could and then quickly walked away. Malia came over to me.

"Was I really that bad?" she asked.

"In the words of Stiles, nobody got killed at that is what I call an important distinction. mr. Yukimura may no longer be teaching driver's ed, but no one can prove that that's because of you," she was actually showing emotion. She looked like a sad puppy, "Let's go find Stiles." We walked in the school and found Scott and Kira in the library.

"Tell your dad I'm sorry." Malia instantly blurted out to Kira.

"Why? What did you do to my dad?" she asked.

"Let's just say that Malia isn't quite ready for driving...and I don't think your dad is anymore either." Kira slowly turned back to her book. Just then Stiles came in and slammed two papers down on the table. They're papers for Theo.

"So you found something?" Scott asked.

"I found a signature," he pointed to the first paper, "This is Theo's dad's signature from eight years ago. Now this is his dad's signature on a transfer form to beacon Hills High School from just a few days ago."

"How'd you get his transfer form?" Kira asked.

"Did you break into the administration office?" Scott asked as if this had happened before.

"No I did not break into the administration office," we all seemed to raise an eyebrow at him, "Okay I might have broken into the administration office CAN we just focus on the signatures please."

"They're...sort of different." Malia, once again not convincing.

"They're completely different. Come on, look, the loops don't match and this. Perfect example of the criminal tremor." Stiles explained.

"So now Theo is Theo, but his parents aren't his parents?" Kira asked.

"Someone is not someone, and when I figure out who that someone really is that someone is in big trouble." Stiles stated.

"But no one's done anything wrong." Scott replied.

"Yet! If Theo's parents are both psychotic killers then obviously we should not trust him, right?" Stiles thought that was a good comeback.

"Our parents are Peter and the Desert Wolf." Malia fired back at him. He stood there for a moment and then rubbed his forehead.

"Okay, you know what I'll just figure this out myself," he told us as he angrily snatched up his papers, "I don't need you, or you, or you, or you. I don't need anyone!" he yelled as he stormed out of the library.

(time skip)

I was at home now waiting for Lydia to call me, but she didn't. She always did, so I called her.

"Lydia?"

"Hey. What's up?"

"Oh nothing. What are you doing?"

"I'm staking out Tracy's house with Jordan."

"Jordan?"

"Deputy Parrish."

"Oh so you're on a first name basis now. Should I be worried?"

"Is someone jealous?"

"What! Me, jealous! No!"

"Alright well I'll see you tomorrow."

"Tomorrow? Why don't I head over and-"

"How much homework do you have?"

"Um...not that much-"

"Do your homework and I promise we can spend some time together tomorrow."

"Fine. I love you."

"Farewell my Romeo." and we hung up. I didn't really know what to do now. I just sat on my bed. Literally, just sat there. Malia was with Stiles and my dad was...my dad so I wasn't gonna go hang with him. Maybe we really do need space.
