Chapter 26 Ozzy and Strut
Meanwhile
"Aw, come on Ozzy I'm hungry! Why can't we just eat a small bit of green?" asked Strut desperately, "Stop complaining! Just because we are out here dealing with those, Walkers doesn't mean we are going to eat that stuff!" Strut looked at him sadly,
"Please just this time, we haven't seen any eggs out here. Herds have left and The Great Valley is full of Walkers!" "We'll get by a little longer and I know there are eggs around here somewhere, YOU must not be looking hard enough! Now let's go." Ozzy said angrily to his brother as he told him to follow him deeper into the Mysterious Beyond.
Strut seemed to continue complaining to his brother if they could have the green food as they kept passing what little was around as they passed, but Ozzy wouldn't let him as he still refused to believe that eggs were now scarce.
Ozzy kept leading Strut to a place that he was sure would still have eggs until they ran into a place that neither of them recognized. "Um, Ozzy this place wasn't here before was it?"
"No Strut, but it may be a good thing, but it may be full of nice juicy eggs." He said to his brother, He made Strut give him a boost up and saw some guards on the wall and saw into the unfamiliar territory and saw a sign that read "Welcome To Woodbury"
He was about to tell Strut they were going in but he couldn't hold him anymore and he toppled onto him. "Sorry Ozzy!"
Woodbury
The Governor looked out of the window in his apartment, he had been thinking about what had been going on in his town, lately people were beginning to get even more scared in this strange place.
The Governor had visited the torture chamber but had left it untouched, he still wanted Chomper dead but still wanted to wait until the right time. He went around the town doing his usual rounds and went to check on the wall which had taken a long time to repair after what that triceratops had done to it. He climbed to the top and looked out to the barren land of the Mysterious Beyond until he heard voices.
He crouched down out of sight and pulled out his Beretta Pistol and looked at where the voices were coming from and saw a couple of Struthiomimus dinosaurs talking to each other, The Governor aimed his pistol and one of them and prepared to fire until he heard something that caught his attention.
"Strut! You have to remember that we are out here starving because of that little sharptooth and him making his 'mommy and daddy' come to his rescue running us out of The Great Valley!" Strut looked at him "Well if we see him out here what do we do?" Ozzy rolled his eyes in annoyance "We take care of him once and for all."
The Governor thought about it and knew he could probably use these two when he goes after Chomper and smiled to himself and got down from the wall and told Martinez and the rest of the wall guards to keep an eye on him in case they try anything
He opened the wooden doors to Woodbury and stepped out. "Ozzy! Look!" they both looked as The Governor stepped outside the walls of Woodbury "I couldn't help but hear what you two were talking about, well I may be able to help you." Ozzy wasn't convinced by this stranger, "Don't listen to him Strut let's just get rid of him and see If they have any eggs in that place."
The Governor was absolutely not threatened by these two but saw a chance, "You're looking for eggs? We've got plenty here, I'll help you."
Ozzy didn't trust this stranger, "We can find eggs ourselves, we don't need you." He began to walk away until Strut stopped him, "C'mon Ozzy! If he says he has food here than we should go."
"Strut! We are not going-" but he was interrupted by The Governor "I would listen, I'll give you a tour after you eat, you may see some things you like. And you both seem to have a problem that I have as well." Ozzy wondered what problem he meant but eventually he gave in and entered the walls of Woodbury with Strut.
The Governor took them to his apartment first and went to his fridge and pulled out a couple of eggs and heated them up a little so it would seem like they were fresh to them.
Ozzy was surprised that this man was telling the truth as he and ate as many eggs as The Governor gave him, on the other hand Strut asked, "Have you got any vegetation?" "Of course I do." He went to get some until he noticed Ozzy smack him
"No! You've got to have eggs!" this made The Governor pause for a moment and thought about his own brother but quickly tried to push away those memories.
"What else have you got here, um?" Strut paused "Call me The Governor" said The Governor completing Strut's sentence.
"So I heard you two talking about the 'sharptooth' that had parents that chased you out a place called The Great Valley, well he did some things to me as well." The Governor said who was getting sick of talking in the baby like language each of these dinosaurs seemed to speak.
Ozzy and Strut were surprised, "You mean that little sharptooth that made us lose everything?!" asked Ozzy almost yelling as his hands became shaking fists.
"Yes, he also did things to me as well." The Governor removed his eye patch revealing his ruined area where his eye should be, it looked like a open cut but looked less gnaly than when he first received it.
Strut looked like he was going to be sick but Ozzy looked with a disgusted but straight face. "This 'sharptooth' you're talking about named Chomper as you can see took my eye and he killed several good people out there with his friends and some of the adults…that's not all." He said but paused with a sad look, "He also, killed my daughter."
This got the brothers attention, "Do you know where those hatchlings are now?!" asked Ozzy now determined and angry. "I do, but my people and I are preparing to strike when they don't expect it, he will pay for what he did and when I have him maybe I'll let you do what you want with him if you stay."
Ozzy liked that idea and decided it would be good to get back at those hatchlings at last. Just as he was thinking about that Martinez walked in, "Ah, Martinez take our guests for a tour around the town." The Governor told the brothers to think about what he told them as they left.
The Governor looked in a mirror and cleaned his wounded eye and put his eyepatch back on and proceeded to pour himself some wine and as he drank he saw his family photo of him, Penny and his wife. He stroked Penny's hair in the picture and said "Soon, Penny they will pay for what they did." He felt his eyes stinging after a few seconds of staring at the picture and he sat down and tried to calm down from his sorrow.
