Hey you guys, sorry I haven't updated this story in a long time because I was busy with college. Please enjoy this chapter and take the time to read my other stories.
The entire stadium grew silent as the audience was astonished and shocked by their warlord's sudden battle with Kiyoko.
"What sudden turn of events, folks!" Ito announced.
"Lord Yoshihiro of Pugilis has just issued a challenge with Lady Kiyoko of Aurora. The stakes could be higher if one of the warlords lose, their kingdom will be taken by the victor." The people in the stadium started talking up a storm.
"The entire kingdom! What is going to happen to us if Lord Yoshihiro-?!"
"Are you stupid? Lord Yoshihiro not going to lose, he's unbeatable!"
"But his opponent is one of the twin warlords who already have 6 kingdoms."
"It was dumb luck. There is no way that Lord Yoshihiro's going to lose." Back in the arena, Kanbei was listening to the endless chattering of the crowd.
"It would seem that the people are in favor of Lord Yoshihiro winning this match." stated Kanbei.
"I guess there is nothing to do, but to change that." Kiyoko said.
"But I feel kind of bad, lot of people here really trust their Lord. I wonder why he would challenge me to a battle, knowing what is at stake here."
"Lord Yoshihiro is well known for raising some pretty high bets in battle, he would even offer up his kingdom on the table if it was necessary." Kiyoko turn her attention to Yoshihiro.
"What's your true intention for this battle...Lord Yoshihiro?" she thought. Yoshihiro stood there, his arms crossed and a smirk on his face.
"The warlord battle between Lord Yoshihiro and Lady Kiyoko..." the referee said.
"Will now begin!"
"Gurdurr, Focus Punch!" Holding onto it's steel beam in one hand, Gurdurr's other hand balled up into a fist and start glowing blue. Gurdurr charged head first towards Milotic.
"Counter with Aqua Tail, Milotic!" Water swirled around Milotic's tail and swing it's tail to counter the Focus Punch. Both attacks clashed, releasing clouds of smoke and water as Milotic and Gurdurr skidded back.
"Kanbei, I leave the flags to you!" Kiyoko said to him.
"Yes, Lampent, grab the flags!" Kanbei said. Lampent was flying towards the opponents' flags when Scrafty blocked the path.
"Scrafty, use Sludge Bomb!" Scrafty send out a wave of Sludge Bomb at Lampent who couldn't dodge it in time and took the hits. Lampent flew away from Scrafty while Milotic tries to counter Gurdurr's Focus Punch with Aqua Tail.
"Your Milotic is quite impressive, but it will take a lot more than that to stop Gurdurr!" stated Yoshihiro.
"Now Gurdurr, use Strength!" Gurdurr gripped it's steel beam with two hands and swung it wildly at Milotic. Milotic tries it's best to dodge the attack, but Gurdurr proved to be too fast. The beam hit Milotic, causing the Pokemon to skid back. Scrafty hit Lampent with another Sludge Bomb, sending Lampent crashing into Milotic.
"Milotic, are you okay?"
"Lampent, are you alright?" Both Pokemon shook off their dizziness and stood back up.
"Milotic!" Milotic responded.
"Lampent!" Lampent answered back.
"These guys are no pushover. We have to be careful." Kiyoko thought. As the battle continued, the group noticed that Kiyoko and Kanbei were being push back by Yoshihiro.
"What is Kiyoko and Kanbei doing?!" Masanori questioned.
"It looks like they're having a tough time against Yoshihiro." commented Kiyomasa.
"Yoshihiro doesn't go easy on anyone." Ginchiyo said.
"He fight his battles as if his life depended on it." Muneshige added.
"In this case, he's fighting more seriously in this battle." said Hanbei.
"It's strange...Lord Yoshihiro is fighting harder than he usually does." Mitsunari stated.
"I know, right?" Keiji agreed, joining in the conversation. With the conversation going in the background, Kiyoto and Oichi focus on the battle. The fierce battle was not going so well for Kiyoko and Kanbei as Milotic and Lampent being pushed back by Gurdurr and Scrafty. It don't take long for Gurdurr to get pass MIlotic and gave one of the flags, changing from white to red.
"Give it up, youngsters. There is no way you can defeat me." shouted Yoshihiro. Kiyoko gritted her teeth until an idea popped up in her head.
"Kanbei, I have an idea!" she said.
"What's the plan, Milady?" She started whispering her plan to him, causing Yoshihiro to raise an eyebrow on what they were talking about. During the battle, Ginchiyo and Muneshige as well as Kiyoto sensed a powerful presence, somewhere in the stadium.
"Could it be..." Ginchiyo thought.
"It cannot be possible..." Muneshige thought.
"It has to be..." Kiyoto thought. Without a word, both Ginchiyo and Muneshige left the group and went into the hallway with Luxio and Staravia following behind them.
"Where are they going?" Masanori remarked. Kiyoto held tightly onto the guardrail, clenching his hand. Back on the field, Kiyoko just finished explaining her plan to Kanbei.
"Okay, you got it?" Kiyoko asked.
"Yes, Milady." answered Kanbei.
"The let's get started. Milotic, jump up and use Ice Beam!" Milotic sprung up into the air and aimed the Ice Beam towards Gurdurr and Scrafty. Both Pokemon jumped to avoid the Ice Beam as the Ice Beam covered the whole arena in ice with long, curved and hollow ice pillars.
"What is this? Milotic has just covered the entire arena in ice!" Ito shouted. As soon as Gurdurr and Scrafty touched the ground, they slipped on the ice and started zooming up and down the ice pillar slides. Milotic was now floating in the air, thanks to Lampent's Psychic as Gurdurr and Scrafty was trying to stop themselves on the slides.
"Kanbei, have Lampent take Milotic to the flags." Kiyoko stated.
"Yes, Milady. Head towards the flags, Lampent." Kanbei responded. Both Lampent and Milotic were flying towards the flags. Then a gruff laugh rang off, startling Kiyoko and Kanbei as they turned their heads towards Yoshihiro who remained unfazed by what was happening.
"Nice trick, but it will take more than that to stop us. Gurdurr, smash the ice pillars!" Yoshihiro shouted. Gurdurr held up it's steel beam as it flew off from the one of the ice pillars. It's crashed the beam into the center of the ice field. The ice started cracking and shattering as the ice pillars came crashing down. The falling ice pillars stopped Lampent and Milotic in their tracks, Scrafty jumped off one of the falling pillars.
"Scrafty, use Sludge Bomb!" Scrafty released another barrage of Sludge Bomb at Lampent and Milotic. One of the Sludge Bomb hit Lampent and disabling the Psychic surrounding Milotic. Both Pokemon came falling down and hitting the ground, with smoke rising up into the air.
"See, I told you you're going to have to do a lot better than to defeat me and Gurdurr." As some of the smoke cleared up, a smirk spread across Kiyoko's face. Then, out of nowhere, small orbs of blue flames, guided by Psychic, shot out of the smoke and hits both Gurdurr and Scrafty. Following after Will-o-Wisp, came a large tidal wave, which slammed the Pokemon into a wall of the destroyed ice pillars. The ice wall shattered, unveiling the red flags behind it. Then an Ice Beam froze the leftover water, trapping Gurdurr and Scrafty.
"Now!" Milotic and Lampent swiftly rushed over to the flags.
"Gurdurr, use Focus Punch to get out of the ice quickly!"
"You too, Scrafty!" Gurdurr was using Focus Punch to smash the ice while Scrafty tried to get out of the ice with Brick Break, but it was too late. Milotic coiled itself around one of the flags while Lampent grasped onto the other flag. Both flags changes from red to blue as the surrounding change back to it's normal state.
"The winners are Milotic and Lampent. The victors are Lady Kiyoko of Aurora." the refree declared. A loud uproar rose out inside the stadium as the gang jump down onto the field, running towards Kiyoko and Kanbei.
"You did it, Kiyoko!" Oichi exclaimed.
"You did well, little sis." Kiyoto said, ruffling her hair.
"Hey, don't that!" Kiyoko complained.
"Alright" Kiyoto lifted his hand off his sister's head and turned to Kanbei.
"You did a good job too, Kanbei."
"It was nothing, Milord." Kanbei said.
"I can tell that you and Lampent are getting stronger. I am looking follow to our rematch someday."
"Yes, then you shall know the true pits of despair!" Kanbei shouted darkly.
"Oh, no..." Masanori said.
"Here we go again..." Mitsunari commented.
"Dark Kanbei's back." added Kiyomasa.
"Silence, you mere mortals! You can comprehend the greatest honor and fame that can come from defeating an opponent, such as Lord Kiyoto. Soon I will-"
"Okay...Pikachu, use Iron Tail." Hanbei said, cutting off Kanbei with an Iron Tail to the head.
"Ow...Hanbei, what did I tell you before?!" yelled Kanbei, changing back into his sort of normal self and cradling his head. Hanbei was looking off into the distance before turning to Kanbei.
"Huh, did you say something?"
"Dang it, Hanbei!" Kiyoto and Kiyoko watched as Kanbei continued yelling at Hanbei, who covered his ears with his hands.
"Quite the interesting group you have here." Kiyoto and Kiyoko turned around to see Yoshihiro and Gurdurr walking towards them.
"Lord Yoshihiro!" Kiyoko exclaimed.
"Well done, girl. I don't think you would get the best of me and Gurdurr." commented Yoshihiro.
"I think I can leave Pugilis in your hand."
"Lord Yoshihiro, I have been wondering about something."
"What?"
"About the battle, did you-" Her words were cut off when Ito appeared with his Clefable with prizes in hand.
"Ah...Lord Kiyoto and Lady Kiyoko, I am here to present you with your prizes." Masanori run up to Ito and took the prize money.
"I will take that. Yes, we're rich!" he proclaimed.
"Ahmm..." Masanori turned his head to see a long line of debt collectors, waiting to collect their money.
"Aaah..." Then he felt two dark presences looming over him.
"Masanori..." He slowly turned his head back to see Kiyoto and Kiyoko with a dark aura surrounding them.
"Would you care to explain this?" Kiyoto asked, cracking his knuckles.
"Whatever you live or die depends on your answer." added Kiyoko.
"Mommy" Masanori said in a tiny voice. Meanwhile, outside of the stadium, Ginchiyo and Muneshige found the source of powerful presence and were met with a big surprise.
"No way, you're-" Ginchiyo said.
Sorry to end on this cliffhanger, but I pretty sure that you know who the mysterious person is or maybe not. I am not telling ;)
