Author's Note:
Greetings good readers. Here is Rule 19 for you all and thanks for all your support. A special thank you to Lady of the Shards who read all my stories only yesterday and still reviewed every chapter, I am seriously impressed and thank you so much. I hope you enjoy this chapter.
Apart from having copies of both movies I don't own Star Trek.
Rule 19-Getting the whole crew to sing Queen's 'We Will Rock You' at Klingons who are demanding the complete surrender of the Enterprise is just plain stupid.
They were never going to forget it.
The Enterprise had been on a mission near neutral space when they had run into a Klingon vessel. The Klingons believed that they were attempting to enter Klingon space and had hailed the Enterprise and demanded that they surrender. They also said that any aggressive action would be considered an act of war. Jim couldn't miss the opportunity and decided to do implement a completely crazy plan.
Afterwards he realised that they should have just run for it but it had been too tempting and he just couldn't resist. Pavel, Hikaru, and Scotty had helped him come up with the idea and plan it out in case they ever got to use it. As such all it took was a subtle sign from Jim telling Hikaru and Pavel to begin. First of all Pavel opened a ship wide channel so the whole ship could see and hear what was happening. Then he and Hikaru began to stamp twice then clap in synch at a regular beat and Jim soon joined them. The crew stared at them and wondered if they had completely lost it but they were ignored as Jim waited until he was sure the beat was right then he began singing,
"Buddy you're a boy, make a big noise. Playing in the street, gonna be a big man someday. You got mud on your face, you big disgrace, kicking your can all over the place, singing"
"We will, we will rock you! We will, we will rock you!"
Pavel and Hikaru joined in singing those two lines and the bridge crew began to join in with keeping the beat as Jim sang the next verse alone.
"Buddy you're a young man, hard man. Shouting in the street, gonna take on the the world someday. You got blood on your face, you big disgrace, waving your banner all over the place."
"We will, we will rock you! We will, we will rock you!"
The bridge crew, except Spock and Nyota, sang the chorus with Jim, Pavel and Hikaru and the rest of the ship took up the beat with Scotty's encouragement.
"Buddy you're an old man, poor man. Pleading with your eyes, gonna make you some peace someday. You got mud on your face, big disgrace, Somebody better put you back into your place."
The whole crew joined in with the last lines.
"We will, we will rock you! We will, we will rock you!
We will, we will rock you! We will, we will rock you!
We will, we will rock you! We will, we will rock you!"
There was a long silence after they finished as the Klingon on the veiwscreen just gawped at them very comically along with the rest of his crew. His gape then converted into a scowl, "You will regret insulting us."
He then cut the communication; just afterwards Pavel called out, "Keptain, zey are locking onto us."
Jim quickly barked into his comm, "Scotty, get us out of here!"
He had just said that when the ship was rocked as it was hit by a Klingon missile.
In the end they managed to escape with no casualties though the Enterprise definitely had some cosmetic damage. Everything was quiet after their escape and Spock was about to speak to Jim when Bones barged onto the bridge, "What the hell were you thinking Jim!"
Jim held his hands up defensively, "It seemed like a good idea at the time Bones. Besides, did you see their faces?"
"Dammit Jim! You should have known better than to do that and what if…"
Bones continued to rant at and lecture Jim for another hour. He then moved onto Pavel and Hikaru (Hikaru got a twenty minute lecture, whereas Pavel got a forty-five minute one) and eventually stormed off to Engineering to give the same to Scotty. They then had to sit through another lecture from Spock about the illogicalness of what they did. This was then followed by another from Nyota for Jim and Hikaru about how they were being bad role models and leading Pavel astray.
Despite all this it was still a favourite story to retell among the crew of the Enterprise but Bones added Rule 19 once he had lectured Scotty so a repeat of the incident was unlikely.
PS-I hoped you liked that and I shall try to update soon.
