The next day Liv took Elijah to school like she always does. Chelsea told her about some appearances that were being scheduled for her. She didn't care about any of that. Her focus was on today's meeting in Fitz's office.

Lauren had told her that the meeting was scheduled for 2pm. At 1:45 she made her way to Fitz's office. When she walked in, he was reading through some folders on his desk. He looked deep in thought that he didn't notice that she had come in and sat down.

After a few minutes, he looked up to see his beautiful wife sitting on the couch. "Hey, when did you sneak in here?"

"A few minutes ago. I didn't want to disturb you so I just sat over here."

He walked over to her and pulled her up from the couch. He put his arms around her and gave her a kiss, "You can disturb me anytime. In fact-" He pulled her back towards his desk. He sat down and pulled her into his lap, "I am going to take a break right now because my wife deserves a few minutes of my time."

She smiled as she remembered the conversation they had last night. She started getting choked up. She took her fingers and ran them through his curls, "I miss you so much. I feel like I am losing you. I feel like I am only half of who I am because I miss being connected to you."

He wiped away a tear on her cheek, "Baby, I am right here. I promise that you will never lose me. You, Elijah and our baby are the most important things to me. I am sorry for how I have been these last few weeks but I will fix all of that. You are not going to lose me. That will never happen."

"Elijah wants you to take him fishing this week. I told him that I would ask you but he knows that you are really busy lately. We just want you, Fitz."

"I will see what I can do, okay. I know this hasn't been easy on you guys but we will get through it. Just give me some time. I feel like I am letting you guys down. When we told him about the baby, I told him that I would always have time for him. I-"

"It's ok, Fitz. I know that you are stressed and exhausted. To be honest, we all are. If time is what you need, then time is what we will give you."

He pulled her lips to his. It was gentle at first. As she opened her mouth to give his tongue access to hers, an animalistic desire came over him. This beautiful creature loved him unconditionally. As their tongues dueled, he sucked on her lips which was something he hadn't done in a while. He felt his pants tightening as he was getting hard. When was the last time he had been intimate with her? He moved his hand under her dress and cupped her sex. She was wet for him. She was always wet for him. He forcibly stands her up and places her hands on his desk. He slides her underwear down to the floor. She moans in anticipation.

He kisses the back of her neck, "God, I love you so much."

She was trying to get his pants unbuckled, "Hurry Fitz, please."

He dropped his pants and boxers while she hiked up her skirt. He teased her core with his tip before finally entering her completely.

He had forgotten how much he loved pregnancy sex. It was the best sex because she was always ready for him. He slowly started moving in and out of her. She moaned as she gripped the edge of his desk.

He groaned as her walls clamped around his cock, "You are so beautiful."

"Ohh…Fitz…I..love..you."

Going deeper, "I love you too, Livvie."

He picked up speed as he watched her bounce off his cock. The sight of him fucking her was driving him crazy. He was about to come undone but he wanted to make sure that she got hers first. He pulled her back to his chest while his hand started rubbing her clit.

"Shiiitt. That's it….I'm cumin."

"Cum for me, Livvie."

Within seconds her orgasms took over body. As soon as he felt her walls tightening, he spilled his seed inside of her. After a few minutes of trying to regulate their breaths, he pulled out of her. They grabbed the baby wipes that he keeps in his desk to clean themselves.

As they were straightening up, Lauren knocked at the door.

"Governor, your two o'clock is here."

Quickly adjusting their clothes and making sure they looked presentable, "Send her in, Lauren."

Anne cheerfully walked in the door. Her demeanor changed when she saw Liv standing by Fitz's desk. "Uh-sorry if I am interrupting something. I can wait outside until your wife leaves."

Fitz walked around from his desk, "No, that's not necessary. My wife is going to sit in on our meeting, if you don't mind."

Looking flustered, "No, I just thought this would be a private one-on-one meeting, that's all."

Liv made it towards her and Fitz. Fitz continued talking, "Well, let me make the introductions, Anne, this is my wife, Olivia Grant. Livvie, this is Anne Claiborne. Hopefully she will be a big campaign contributor."

They shook hands and gave polite smiles. Anne spoke first, "Nice to finally meet you, Olivia. May I call you, Olivia?"

"Actually, I prefer that you call me, Mrs. Grant. That way we remain strictly professional."

Anne and Liv exchanged looks before Fitz motioned for them to sit down. Anne sat on the couch across from Liv and Fitz who sat next to each other.

Fitz put his arm around Liv as she sat close up under him. "Now, Ms. Claiborne, last night we spoke about you wanting to be an active contributor to the Grant Campaign. You expressed your interest in wanting to join us on the campaign trail which I think is great. We could use more volunteers and behind the scene people such as yourself. You also said that you had some questions so we are more than happy to answer any questions that you may have."

Anne looked from Fitz to Liv and back to Fitz as he was talking, "Governor, I wanted to ask about campaign life. I have heard many people say that it can take a toll on marriages and family."

Fitz looked at Liv, "That may be true but my family always goes wherever I go. So far our marriage is still intact and doing wonderfully as you can see by our soon to be newest edition." He rubbed her stomach.

Liv looked at her, "Do you have a family? Are you married?"

"Uh-no, I am not."

Curious, "So why does it matter to you what campaigning does to marriages and family?"

"It was just a simple question, Ms. Grant."

"That's Mrs.Grant. So tell me Ms. Claiborne, how do you see yourself contributing to this campaign or future campaigns, if he decided to run for president?"

"Well, Mrs. Grant, like your husband said, I want to volunteer and do behind the scenes type stuff. I imagine that campaign life is hard. I don't know how you are going to do with two small children. I mean, how are you going to keep your husband calm and satisfied while you are taking care of your kids."

Liv sat up, "First of all, they are his kids as well. I didn't get pregnant by myself so I will not be raising them by myself. Second of all, what I do and don't do with my husband is no one's business. I do a damn good job at keeping him calm and completely satisfied. As a matter of fact, I satisfied him right before you show up for this meeting-"

"Okay." Fitz stood up interrupting her rant, "Ms. Claiborne, it was a pleasure talking with you. I will talk it over with the necessary people and let you know if we have a place for you on the campaign trail."

She got up as he escorted her to the door. As he closed the door, "We will be in touch."

By the time he turned around, Liv was already pacing. He looked her and smiled. Many times in their marriage he has been the jealous and possessive one, it felt good to know that his wife would still go to bat for him.

He walked towards her, "Livvie, calm down, it's not good for the baby."

She looked at him with fire in her eyes, "Fitz, there is no way in hell that woman is going to be on this campaign."

"I agree with you."

"I should have rung that bitch's neck when she was up on you last night. Something told me that she wasn't right. I knew it in my gut. She is lucky I don't call Nana."

He started laughing, "What is Nana gonna do?"

She stopped pacing and looked him laughing at her. She wanted to stay angry but his laugh made her laugh, "Fitz, it's not funny."

Still laughing, "Baby, it is a little bit funny. I thought I was the only one you go off on like that. That was your signature Olivia Grant read and that girl didn't know what I spared her from. When my wife gets through with you, all you can do is cry. I will tell Cyrus that we don't want her donations or her help on this campaign."

Slowly calming down, "Fitz, I promise you if I see her again, I will hurt her."

He put his arms around her, "No, we won't have any of that especially while you are carrying my daughter. I don't need her coming out as feisty as you." He kissed her forehead, "You don't have to worry about anything happening. I'm not going anywhere."

Later that night, Liv was upstairs in the residence with Elijah watching TV while he played on the floor with his toys. It was close to 6 o'clock. Fitz had promised her that he would not be working too late in the office. She was planning her speeches for her public appearances tomorrow but she knew that Elijah would be hungry soon.

She looked at him playing with his toys, "Baby, what do you want to eat?"

He thought for a minute, "Um-chicken strips."

She laughed because that's all he wants to eat. "Ok, let's go and see if we have some."

Getting up from the floor, "Mommy, what does princess want?"

"I think she wants ice cream."

"Yay! Me too."

She laughed as they walked to the kitchen. They shared ice cream out the tub while she cooked him chicken strips. She knew the ice cream would probably ruin his appetite but she was enjoying the time with her son. Sometimes it was hard for her to believe that he was only three.

Fitz walked into the kitchen as she was taking the strips out the fryer. "There's my beautiful family."

Elijah's face lit up when he saw him, "Daddy!" He ran into his father's arms.

"Hey buddy. I missed you today. Did you have fun at school?"

"Yeah."

He walked over to Liv and gave her kiss on the lips then he kissed her stomach. "How are my pretty girls doing?"

She smiled at him, "We are doing great. Happy that you can join us for dinner."

Elijah whispered in his daddy's ear, "Princess kick mommy."

He started tickling him, "You used to kick mommy all the time."

Laughing uncontrollably, "Stopppp, daaaaddy!"

Liv watched them as they played and bonded. This is what she wanted. It was the little moments that made her happy. "Baby what do you want to eat?"

He stopped tickling Elijah, "I would like a salad if the chef left one."

DING-DONG. They looked at each other wondering who could be at the door.

Fitz walked to answer the door because the staff was gone for the night. He opened the door and quickly stepped outside when he saw who it was.

"Ms. Claiborne, what-uh-what are you doing here?"

She smiled at his nervousness, "I came by to apologize to your wife about earlier. I didn't mean to upset her."

Looking back to make sure Liv wasn't coming to the door, "That won't be necessary. I was going to call your office tomorrow but I don't think you will be a good fit for our campaign."

She walked closer to him until she was a few inches from his face, "I think I can be a great fit for your campaign. Trust me when I say that I can do things your little housewife wouldn't dream of."

Fitz pushed her back from him and said with a stern voice, "For your sake, I am trying to save my wife from whipping your ass. Now please leave my property and stay away from my family and my campaign."

She pulled out a business card and kissed it. "Suit yourself." She placed the card in his shirt pocket, "Call me if you change your mind, Governor."

She walked away while Fitz went back in the house. He took the card out of his pocket and looked at it. He was about to throw it away when Liv walked into the foyer.

"Fitz, baby, who was at the door?"

He put the card back in his pocket, "No one baby. Just something that needed my attention."

She looked at him suspiciously. Her mind wondered what that was he put in his pocket but she decided to let it go, "Your food is ready and your son is waiting for you so he can eat."

He smiled and walked back towards the kitchen. They ate dinner as a family for the first time in about two weeks. They laughed and joked with each other. Liv would look at Fitz but he tried to avoid eye contact with her as much as possible.

After dinner, Fitz put Elijah to bed while Liv relaxed in the room. He bathed and read to him. He enjoyed spending quality time with his son. His heart ached thinking about all the nights he spent missing his son. As Elijah drifted off to sleep, he made a promise to him, "I will not turn into my father."

Fitz walked into the room to find Liv in the bed watching TV. She was watching the News and they were talking about the fundraiser from yesterday. She hated how the media scrutinized their lives like they weren't people. He changed his clothes and climbed into bed.

"So what is the media saying about us now?"

She turned the TV off, "You know the usual. They look so happy. Their son is so well-behaved. How does he do it with a black wife and mixed raced son? They say that like we are your crutch or something. What do they expect? Are we supposed to be miserable because we are mixed raced? Is Elijah supposed to be a bad ass kid and tear shit up because he is half black?"

He took the remote from her hand, "Baby, don't let them get to you. We know who we are. That's all that matters."

Liv threw herself in his arms, "You're right baby. Thank you for keeping grounded and centered."

He kissed her head, "I got you baby. Don't ever doubt that."

They laid in silence for a few minutes. Liv's mind was going crazy with thoughts. Her gut was telling her that something was off. Fitz wasn't himself after he answered the door. She pulled back from him and propped herself up on her elbow. His eyes were close but she knew he wasn't sleep.

"Fitz, who was at the door?"

He tensed up but he didn't open his eyes, "Baby, I told you. Can we please just go to sleep?"

Sensing something wasn't right but not wanting to push, "Sure baby, let's go to sleep."

She laid back on his chest. Within minutes, he was asleep. Liv, on the other hand, could not sleep. Something just wasn't sitting right with her. Her husband was lying to her. But why? Why would he lie? After she was sure he was in a deep sleep, she slipped out of his arms and walked into their closet. She went to his shirt pocket to see what he put there.

She pulled out a business card. On the front the name read, 'Anne Claiborne.' She felt a surge of anger shoot through her body. On the back of the card was a hand-written message, 'Satisfaction Guaranteed' with lipstick on it.

He lied to her. She was pissed. She started pacing in the closet. Her anger was getting the best of her. There was no way she could sleep knowing he lied to her. She knew something was off. She knows him better than he knows himself sometimes. She decided if she couldn't sleep then neither would he. She grabbed her glass of water on her nightstand and threw it on him.

He woke up in a state of shock as water came rushing towards him, "What the fuck?"

She stood angrily over him, "GET YOUR LYING ASS UP!"

Ok so the next chapter is a major show down. A pregnant hormone crazy jealous Liv is upset with Fitz for lying. The question is: Is Fitz justified in lying to his pregnant wife if he knows the subject will upset her or should he have told her the truth. Curious to read your reviews. Till next time.
