"Tris you throw like a girl!" Zeke yells from home base. I laugh loudly bending over to pick up the next baseball. " Zeke, I am a girl!" I yell back and prepare to throw a fast ball. I breath as I send a ball flying down the strike zone and smile at myself. Zeke stands up shaking his hand laughing.

"I have to admit that one hurt." I smirk. "Too much?" I yell back. He shakes his head. "No keep it coming." He throws the ball back to me and I catch it. Twirling the ball in my hand, I focus back on Zeke and his mitt and throw another fast ball. The ball goes into the mitt in seconds and Zeke calls me over.

I jog over and grab the ball off him. "I think we have had enough for today okay." I nod my head in agreement and smile gratefully at him. "I'll see you in a couple of hours then." I say as we gather our things before we head home. I carry my car keys as I unlock the car and place my kit in the boot. Zeke honks at me as he drives past and I close the boot and get in the front seat before driving home.

When I walk through the front door some of the girls are up and about. It is currently 10:30 but we don't have to be at the stadium until 12 so I take the opportunity to have a shower and to eat before we have to leave. Christina joins me for breakfast. "I don't know how you do it, you get up early and train so you can stay the best and your so in tune which has always amazed me." she says and I look at her, she smiles back at me.

"I just want to make sure I'm prepared for games, we have one this weekend." I remind her and she grins. "I know. But I think you have had enough training for like two people." she says and I just smile at her. She gives me a look. "Tris please tell me you're not doing what I think you're doing." she says

I just look at her. "Tris." she pushes in a scolding voice. "Look Christina I want to do more than just a short stop, I want to do pitching to and I don't think it is to much to ask when you have been working as hard as me." I explain, she looks at me a flash of sadness crosses her face. "What if you get injured. They won't just need to replace you they will need to bring in a new replacement pitcher." she says. " I know I won't hopefully but I want to still be able to play even in my off games and if I can do it, I'm at least going to try."

She sighs. "Okay if you think you can do then i'll support you." she says and I hug her. She laughs. "Okay enough get off me." I let go and finish the cereal I was eating and put the bowl in the sink. I walk into the lounge room and turn on the tv. Christina and Shauna join me as we watch a rerun of The Big Bang Theory. I watch mindlessly for a while when there is a knock on the door.

Cara runs down the stairs and goes to open the door when Zeke and Four step inside with Uriah in toe. Zeke and Uriah come down and sit next to us while Four kisses Cara and she leads them upstairs. I look over to Zeke and he returns it with a look of sympathy so I turn my head towards the tv. He knows how I feel conflicted about the whole situation.

"Okay we need to get going if we're going to get there on time." Shauna says kissing Zeke on the lips then grabbing his hand and pulling him up. Christina yells " When did this happen." Gesturing to the two of them standing next to each other. I sort of had idea when Shauna would call during our practices. She was fine with Zeke training me, she say we needed the extra practice to compete with what she was born with.

"While Tris was gone." She smiles at me and I return it with a knowing look. We hear footsteps but don't acknowledge them as we continue to talk and laugh. As we hear the door close the rest of us get up and I go to the kitchen and go to the fridge getting my bottles of water then head out the door talking to the others. We walk out and take Christina's car and my car as we are loading the cars I couldn't help but see Four's car still out the front. I didn't take any notice of them trying to shake them both from my mind. I finish helping Zeke load the kits when I get into the car. As I drive we arrive at the stadium quickly and gather our things before heading towards the lockers.

"Hey good luck today." Christina says with a smile, I smile back and grab my essentials things like bat, mitt, hat plus helmet and water bottle and leave the locker room to go towards the field. I put my hat on sticking the pony tail in the gap in the back and stand next to Christina and Shauna. "Okay well today we're going to start with stretches like always then head into sections. Spread out." Tori booms to the teams.

I walk towards Tori as shes talking with Nita. "What's up Tris." she says. I take a breath. " I was hoping you would let me try out for switch again." I tell her. She looks at me with a slight smirk the calls over Max who willingly comes over with a smile on his face. " Yeah." he says. " Tris here has just asked to do switch." Tori tells Max. He smiles brightly.

"Okay Tris lets see what you've got." Max says proudly...
