I sat on the bed as Dave pulled out what he was going to wear tonight and put it in a bag I hadn't seen before. My eyes were locked firmly on the floor in front of me until he turned to look back at me.
In his hands he had clothes. He handed them to me with a smile. "Go get changed, kay?" I nodded and headed to the bathroom to get dressed. The shirt he'd given me was long and baggy, the pants so tight I could hardly move in them. "Dave, I look really weird!" I called, looking at myself in the mirror.
The door opened and Dave grinned at me. "You look good." He said softly, putting his hands on my shoulders. I bit my lip and looked down. "I'm glad the pants fit you. They're my clothes, but you wear them better than me." He smiled at me in the mirror and wrapped his arms around my waist.
I leaned into him with a sigh. "It'll looked amazing once I do your makeup and put on the finishing touches, I promise." I nodded, a smile pulling at my lips now. I trust Dave.
He kissed my cheek lightly and turned me in his arms, lifting me up onto the sink . There, he took off my glasses and got started.
His hands were so gentle against my face that I was almost shocked. He brushed powder over my skin and put something very close to my eyes, tsking at me and wagging his finger when I tried to see what he was doing before he was done. "I don't want you to see until I'm done, kay?" I sighed but nodded.
I swung my legs as he went to grab something from his bag. "Open your mouth and close your eyes." I frowned at that, hoping he wasn't going to do something gross. He touched my bottom lip lightly, only long enough to slip something over it.
"Almost done." He said, getting closer to me, his warm breath filling my face. My cheeks grew warm as he did and all I wanted was for him to kiss me! I was trembling a little, something I'm sure he felt.
He wrapped something around the waist of the pants, lifting me up a little bit. It took everything I had to not wrap my limbs around him to keep him close to me. "All right." He helped me down, standing almost against me as he sat me down.
Very carefully, he put my glasses on for me. "Ready?" He asked softly, looking down at me. I nodded and took a deep breath. He took a small step back and turned me around. I didn't know I'd closed my eyes until he spoke. "Well, look." He said softly in my ear.
I opened my eyes slowly, my jaw dropping as I saw myself. When I looked in the mirror now, I was shocked. As I saw myself now, I looked like I belonged in these clothes.
He'd put makeup on my face and when he'd touched my lip, he'd put a fake piercing over my lip. There was black around my eyes and with my glasses on, my eyes were so blue it almost scared me. He'd hooked a belt in the pants and it hung over my hips. I looked like I belonged with Dave, actually.
"What do you think?" He asked softly. I couldn't close my mouth, let alone answer him. He chuckled as I reached up to touch my cheek, making sure it was actually me in the mirror. "Yeah, it's you." He said in my ear.
"Dave." Was all I could say. I was on the verge of tears at how amazing he made me look. "It doesn't even look like me." I said, my voice shaking.
"Of course it does. I just did a couple things to bring out your natural features." He wrapped his arms around my waist again. I was barely choking back tears, but I couldn't stop shaking. "Shhh it's okay John." He kissed my cheek and neck.
I turned in his arms and hugged him tightly. "Thank you Dave. Now you need to get ready." I said against his chest. He hugged me tightly and kissed my forehead.
All I wanted was to raise up and kiss him on the mouth.
