Tori Vega let out a groan. She looked around her, and all she could see were the four robbers that have been running the jewelry store heist. The only one that wasn't in the area was the one that guarded the room that trapped her friends. Two of the robbers circulated around the group of hostages while one sat behind a computer looking upon something she didn't know what he was staring at, and the one that was running things… Victor Ryan…
And he sat on the edge of the ledge of a counter. His dark green eyes stared down at the trapped Vega…
Yep, a trapped Vega… A trapped Tori Vega…
Shaking her head, she let out another breath and stared at the floor. Try as she might, she couldn't move this spot. For the time being, Tori was bound to a chair, and all she could was stare into onblvion. The reason being that after Ryan talked to her dad, he laid it out simple.
'You're my ace in the hole.'
Meaning that if she was needed for issues that dealt with her father, then Ryan would come to her, take a phone, and allow her to speak to her father using one word responses. Usually only letting out the word, 'Help.' A word that was once her saving grace was now a word that meant torture.
Dammit.
She hated being in this predicament. Hated being used like this, and having to be stuck in this chair. Her hands were tied, and they were bound together behind the back of a chair. She was in hell. And her only saving grace knew that Robbie was stuck with her…
While, yeah, he was in another room, trapped with Lola and Jade, she knew that he was with her. And if she ever got to the point of being harassed, then she could just picture Robbie in her mind, and he would tell her that everything was going to be okay, and that they would get out of this…
Somehow…
But right now, all she could do was just sit there and wait. And think. And wait. And ponder. And wait. And pray.
And that was the cycle. A cycle that had been going on for two hours. She could only imagine what was going on with her friends within the far room to the left. She could only wonder while she was trapped to the chair that she was sitting on. Which originally started off as an equal predicament only evolved into a fit of jealousy. Of knowing that even though they were all trapped within the walls of the store, they were separated. And Tori was busy being used as a barganining chip while they were just trapped in a room and talking…
Talking with ease, and all Tori had was that she could talk to herself. While that wasn't all that grand, she was thankful that it hadn't resulted to her similar behavior of being by herself when she was stuck in a shed down in Yerba…
She smirked.
This was so not Yerba.
And if anything had come out of Yerba, it was that any predicament she was stuck in, it would be small potatoes compared to how she was dealing with a situation now. A situation that only Robbie could relate with what she was going through. Knowing that, she could never be mad or angry or upset with Robbie. Because of everything else, Robbie was her equal. And he would always be her better half. And if anyone can help her get through a tough situation, it would be him. Consoling her, comforting her, loving her.
Being her Robbie. Her best friend. Being her lover. And now, being her soon-to-be husband.
And how can he help her now?
She could close her eyes, and picture him. She could detail every aspect of him. Both taking in his attributes physically, and taking in his inner beauty. And even his natural beauty. Every aspect that made Robbie Shapiro Robbie Shapiro.
When she realized that, she could actually put together another fact. Robbie may have six life cut-outs of her, but she had six ways to define her relationship to Robbie.
Her friend.
Her confidante.
Her lover.
Her soon-to-be husband.
Her soul mate.
Her heart.
God, she loved him…
Knowing that, it always pained her when he wasn't with her. And even though she knew he was not but a few feet away from her, the space between the two of them was tender. Anything that would hurt Robbie would throw Tori off the deep end. She already felt herself go through that in the past, and she was sure she was going to feel that way again.
Robbie was her soul mate. And she was sure, she was his. When they were apart, they fell apart. But together? They were strong. And together was going to be the way for them to get out of here.
"Move!"
Tori's head shot up and glanced at the door. In came two paramedics. She immediately tried to understand what was going on. Looking at Ryan, she looked at him with confused eyes. "W…w….what's going on?"
He got to his feet and glared at the bound girl. Shaking his head, he pulled out the phone. Dialing the familiar number, he waited for the phone to get picked up. When it did, he uttered, "You win. You got your pregnant girl. Consider that my good leap of faith."
Hearing that, Tori watched as he slammed the phone on the cradle. She watched as they wheeled the pregnant woman out of the store. She turned to Ryan. "Your dad finally got what he wanted. He got his act of good measure. Now, I don't see why he can't get give me the bus I want." Saying that, he added, "And don't think your staring off into oblivion has gone unnoticed." She gave him a confused look. "You're a little slut, aren't you?"
Tori's eyes widened, and watched him go to the console that the robber was working behind.
And there she went.
Robbie let out a disgusted sigh and made his way to an open chair. Pulling it back, he slumped down. Already feeling the sudden drawback of not having his beloved with him. And knowing for sure, that it would only get worse as time went by.
What he needed to do was occupy his thoughts. Try and get something to occupy himself, and hopefully buy him enough time so that he could see Tori again, and rather soon. But as he tried to think about something, all he could do is trace it back to Tori.
His life, his past, his friends, his time at Ridgeway, and hell, even the times he never knew Tori from his pre-Hollywood Arts life, it could all be traced back to her. She was his everything, and being without her hurt. Especially when he knew she was being used by the assholes that kept him and his friends locked up in this pseudo-cell…
Psuedo-cell…
That was a laugh. Whenever he found himself being stuck in a room, he always got a flashback to the one room where he both experienced the best and worst moments in his life. He was especially thankful that he wasn't claustrophobic. That would be the one part of this that would be able to make his time here in the room more terrifying.
And he would be sure that if anyone would be able to pull him out of that funk, it would be Tori.
God, he was right. This new thought, a thought of claustrophobia brought him back to Tori. No matter what was on his mind, he knew the talented and beautiful Latina would enter his mind. And his heart would swell, and he would just imagine how much his life needed her to function...
After all, she was going to be his wife. The one person that would always be by his side, never abuse him, never make fun of him, never hurt him. She would never do anything that would cause him to receive any harm. And he needed her to be with him. He needed her to go through this life on a daily basis, and have her help him succeed in life.
Tori brought out the best in him. She helped him see just how screwed up his life was, and she helped him change, grow, and evolve. Into someone that he was beginning to be very proud of. And he would truly be happy when she walked down that aisle, dressed in white, and finally be his for all of eternity. Because he knew once she uttered her vows, said 'I do,' and break that plate underneath her foot, she would become Tori Shapiro. She would become his wife, and she would be forever bound to him. To honor him, to love him, and to cherish him. In sickness, and in health. For as long as they both should live.
Or even beyond that if there really was an afterlife.
It didn't matter.
Tori would be his. He would never again feel the insecurities that he always had a hard time dealing with. Always hoping that she wouldn't wake up one day, and realize that she never did love him. That she never did grow sick of him, and that she would stop believing in him…
Tori believed in him…
She trusted him, she depended on him, and she needed him to be her one. Her one person she could count on, and satisfy herself with knowing that she would happily spend the rest of her life with him by her side.
He was her one. He was it. And he was what she needed to function…
She needed him.
She NEEDED him.
Which made him realize one question that he never truly began to ponder.
Can he do that for her? Can he be her everything? Can he be her one?
Fear started to swell in his chest. Pain started to echo through his organs, and he started to feel a cramp in his stomach.
Oh God…
This was too much. This was getting insane. This was getting ridiculous.
How could he be responsible for this? How could he honestly be that one person Tori needed in her life? How was he supposed to do anything?
Robbie was not a person who had this type of personality trait. He did not have this capability, and he was not responsible enough to take care of her.
Oh God…
Robbie got to feet and grabbed the chair he was sitting on. He raised it into the air and flung it across the room.
Oh God…
This was too much. This was insane, and this was ridiculous.
"I got to get out of here." He whispered. "I can't… I can't… I can't be here." He went to the door and tried to go for the handle.
"Robbie!" Lola asked, shocked to see him like this.
"He's having a panic attack." Jade whispered. She made her way to him and tried to calm him down. But as soon as she took a hold of his arm, he shook her off.
"I can't be here!" He shook his head. "I can't be her husband! I can't be marry Tori! I can't. I can't be the one that provides for her. I can't be the one that takes care of her. I can't be the one that starts a family with! I can't…"
"Will you get a hold of yourself, Robbie?" Jade asked. She took her hands and placed them on his shoulders, forcing him to the wall.
"I can't be the one she needs, Jade." He told her, his voice is urgent. "I can't be the one that is going to protect her. I can't be the one that she needs right now."
"Robbie!" Lola attempted.
"She's probably being raped right now. She's probably being stuck somewhere, and being pounded against, and I can't do anything to stop it. I can't help her. I can't save her. I can't do anything! Tori needs me, and I can't do a damn thing! Bertha got her revenge. Instead of me being raped, it's Tori being raped, and I can't do a damn thing to help her!"
"Will you stop it?!" Jade yelled. She slapped him across the face.
"Ow!" Robbie yelled. "That hurt!"
"Jade." Lola scolded. "We don't smack Robbie." Jade glared at Lola. Lola shrugged, then said with a hint of innocence. "Only Tori slaps Robbie."
"Ok, first." She smirked. "You and Vega definitely have a kinky side. Second, I'm sorry." Jade told him. "I didn't mean to hit you, but I needed you to shut up." When he didn't say anything at that moment, she continued, "Third, Vega isn't being raped. Your wife isn't being raped."
"How do you know?" Robbie asked. "How do you know anything!? You weren't with us, Jade. You didn't…"
"No, I didn't." Jade told him. "Lola didn't either. None of us did, alright? What happened in Yerba only happened to you two. Yes, it sucked, and we can definitely tell it screwed you up. It fucked you up, and it's no damn shock that you and Vega act the way you do. I get it. "
A moment passed.
"You two obviously found each other, and you obviously started sleeping with each other. You two did the only thing you could truly do to help you deal with the bullshit you two went through. Do I think you two are nubs? Do I think you two are morons? Of course I do. I think you two are full of shit. But it's because of that shit you two work. And who cares what I think, or what anyone else does. You and Vega deserve each other, and you're going to work. You'll get married, have kids, and get the life you deserve. You are what she needs, Robbie Shapiro, and it's damn obvious that you need her too. So, you WILL make it work. Don't think for a second that you are NOT the person for her. She loves you. And you love her. So, calm down. At some point, you'll two will get back together, and then you can start your lives together. So, take a chill pill, and relax. Alright? Deal with what you have, and be the fucked up, in love, and screwed up versions of yourselves. Because it's worked. For some strange screwed up reason, it worked. So, enjoy what you have, Shapiro. Because, Dammit. If I did, I would too."
Robbie and Lola just stared at her. He just let out a breath, and said, "Thanks, Jade…"
"And you better not tell anyone about this."
Robbie smirked. "Who would believe us?" Jade just glared at him. "We don't have any proof anyway."
"Um…" The two of them looked at Lola with confusing eyes. "There is proof. We are being recorded." She pointed up to the corner.
That's when they saw it.
The camera.
"Crap." Robbie said slowly.
Jade smirked. "Bet your thankful Vega never really did have the gang-bang, huh?"
Robbie just stared at her.
