Chapter 26

Finally Freddie returned from the meeting his buddies from the AV Club, the whole drive back home with his mother he couldn't but think about this foolish plan that Carly had to get Pete to finally admit his lies. Of course Freddie also wanted to get back at Pete, because he had been the only reason that the friendship to the brunette had been put into serious jeopardy in the first place but it surely left a bad gut feeling behind that the web hostess was really considering lowering herself to his level again.

But on the other hand he also had to admit to himself: Right now he unfortunately had no alternative plan to go with as much as he hated to see his girlfriend together with that jerk again, even if he was pretty well aware of the fact that it was all just pretend. After doing a lot of more thinking about the whole thing, two things were clear to him: He needed to voice his concern about the plan towards Carly and they needed to come up with another plan that wouldn't jeopardize everything they had once again. Miss Benson of course noticed that her son was bothered by something and so she asked: "Is everything alright? I really hope that Carly didn't do anything to hurt you again or else I'll have a serious talk with her! "Freddie looked out of the window of the backseat, surely couldn't help rolling his eyes at that comment because that was typical for his mother and he finally said:

"I'm alright and no Carly didn't hurt my feelings again, I was just busy with thinking about some AV Club stuff so please stop to assume always the worst case scenario, okay?"

Miss Benson was taken a little aback by the response by him at first but then she finally said: "Okay sorry but I was just worried about you like every good mother would be, when she has that gut feeling that something is wrong with him."

Even if he didn't like it, he would stay her little son that surely would always need the guidance of his mother. The rest of the drive back home went down in silence and Freddie was totally glad about that, of course he loved his mother but there was one thing that he really hated about her: She always had been so much overprotective of him and he hated the fact to be still treated like a kid by his mom. But that thing would probably never ever change in the future, no matter how much he had tried to convince his mother to give him some more space because of the fact that he wasn't ten anymore.

Meanwhile back at the Shay's apartment, Carly was fighting a big headache as she had still not been able to come up with an alternative plan considering the big Pete problem. Sam was still sitting with her best friend on one of the bean bags in the web hostess room, after doing a lot more brainstorming about the whole thing: "Maybe Freddie is somehow able to hide a little camera somewhere on the body of that jerk, so that we can get finally to admit how much he did you wrong."

The web hostess thought about that, she really had to admit that this was indeed a very good idea now they just needed to talk with their tech producer about it. Right at that moment, she couldn't help but think about how horrible her boyfriend must feel about the whole plan even if he hadn't voiced his protest about it just yet but she could imagine very well that he would want to talk to her about it once he got back from his AV Club meeting.

"This sounds like a really good idea Sam and I will tell Freddie about it once he gets back from the AV Club." Carly finally said and of course Sam also deep down already knew, that Freddie wasn't a big fan of the former plan and she was very glad that Carly had decided against it.

The whole thing that Freddie and Carly had was really special, the two were just meant to be together and there was absolutely no reason to risk all this once again even if Pete was trying to make her an emotional wreck so hard just because of his enormous ego.

From the start Sam had also hated the guts of Pete Sampson and had hoped that Carly would wake up very soon and start to use her head again finally. Of course Sam wanted Pete to be finally being put in his place, someone needed to finally show him that he couldn't just mess with everybody and get away with it in the very end.

Freddie finally arrived at the Shay's apartment; he shortly greeted Carly's brother as he walked through the apartment door: "Is Carly at home right now?"

"Hey Freddo, yes Carly is upstairs in her room and Sam is already with her." The Artist replied shortly and the ICarly tech producer just thanked him in return before he finally went up the stairs to get to his girlfriend's room. Meanwhile back at Carly's room Carly finally asked the dirty blonde after some silence between them: "Do you think that this plan is going to work? Sam didn't have to think about that question for very long, because she was very confident that they would succeed in the very end:

"There's no need to panic Carls because I guarantee you that this whole thing will work." Carly then shortly hugged her best friend, her moral support did really meant a lot to the web hostess and as she had a short look at the watch on her right wrist she realized that Freddie would be back at any minute from his AV Club meeting.

Of course it didn't go by Sam unnoticed as her best friend suddenly had a big smile on her face and she quickly realized why: "I know why you are so giddy all over sudden, Freddie will be back any minute from his AV Club meeting where does all that "cucky" tech stuff?"

Carly couldn't help but laugh at the mention of the word "cucky" from Sam, that had come in use during the short period of time Freddie and Carly had been together after the ICarly tech producer had saved the web hostess from being hit by a Taco Truck.
