"Kayleigh, hurry up!" Kim yelled at me.
I rolled my eyes and fixed my shirt and came out of the bathroom.
"You look great!" Haylee said from the other side of my room. She wore a simple black layered shirt and grey skinnies. Her makeup was simple eyeliner and mascara and her blonde hair was straightened perfectly.
"Thank you," I smile. I wore a light and dark grey stripped shirt and brand new skinnies that Dad had bought me and left in my closet.
Kim pushed past me into the bathroom to finish her hair since I had kicked her out to shower.
We had decorated the house with lame streamers and set up food around the house. I locked the garage door and the door to my Dad's room. The last thing I needed was his stuff going missing. My room wouldn't be locked. I had put anything valuable in my Dad's room.
Kim emerged from my bathroom.
"You didn't do anything to your hair," I pointed out.
She pulled on a purple tube top, "I just needed to straighten the back again."
I rolled my eyes playfully again. After we had all the finishing touches on our outfits done, Kim pulled a bottle of Jose Cuervo from her bag.

"Where'd you get that?" I asked, impressed she actually got it.
"I called up my cousin who happens to work at a liquor store in downtown, so she hooked me up with this, a case of beer that's already in the fridge and two bottles of Smirnoff," She answered opening the bottle and handing it to me.
I was in a decent mood at the moment, and I was hoping the alcohol was going to help my mood increase. I took it from her and took a long gulp.
"Happy birthday, bitch," Kim said, taking a drink after me. I savored the burn that went down my throat and into my stomach.
Haylee took her sip and handed it back to me, "Are we going to finish this before everyone is here?"
Kim shook her head, and I took another drink. We each had three in total and then went upstairs. With perfect timing, we reached the top of the stairs as Alex and Jack walked through the back door.
"Happy Birthday Kay!" Jack yelled, yanking me into a hug.
"Thank you," I smiled. He handed me yet another bottle of alcohol. This one was Grey Goose. "Are you guys trying to kill my liver?"
Jack laughed, "Pffft, no."
Alex said happy birthday and gave me a hug and then we went to the living room. I grabbed three shot glasses and the bottle of Jose Cuervo.
"Are we going to play a game?" Alex asked.
Kim shook her head, "Not enough time, everyone will be here soon and I don't want them showing up to us playing a strip game."
"Well just take turns, I guess," I said
I filled the three shot glasses and Kim, Jack and I each grabbed a glass.
"To a good fucking time tonight," I said and took the shot.
Two hours later the party was in full swing. Dubstep music was blasted through the speakers and people were dancing like they're pants were on fire. As soon as enough people were on the dance floor Kim and I jumped in and started grinding. Kim was also a great dancer, so every guy was trying to get close to her, but she didn't let them close enough to get dirty. She was faithful to Jack and no amount of alcohol was going to impair that. I on the other hand, was single and could do whatever the fuck I pleased. After getting bored of dancing, I headed to the kitchen for another shot. I had lost count of how many I had had while we took shots before people show up, but I could hold my alcohol and I made sure I had eaten.
I was for sure tipsy and was feeling better than I had in days. I reached for the bottle of Jack Daniels one of the seniors had brought and poured a shot. Throwing it back, I set the glass back on the counter and ventured outside where more people were. Someone had set up the sound system to play outside so there was another group of 30 people dancing by the pool. Some decided to strip down and take a swim. I sure hope the neighbours aren't home.
Outside I found Haylee sitting with Zack and Alex who both had beers. Alex was slightly tipsier than I was last time I checked.
"Oh there's the gorgeous birthday girl," Alex grinned as I walked up. I sat down on his lap since all the other chairs had been taken.
"Having fun?" Haylee asked. She wasn't a heavy drinker so she was basically in charge of making sure I didn't have an emotional breakdown randomly.
"Eh," I shrugged, "This party needs a game of spin the bottle or seven minutes in heaven."
"I second that!" Someone yelled from the dance group. A few more people cheered.
"Alright! You guys in?" I asked them. Alex agreed, and Zack and Haylee declined. I got off of Alex and pulled him over to where a circle of people had formed. I recognized a few girls from my classes and a couple football players. The circle got bigger and Alex got pushed to the other side.
One of the football players brought over an empty beer bottle, "Birthday girl first."
I took the bottle and spun it around. It slowed down and landed on Cameron, the quarterback. He grinned and leaned across the circle. Our lips met for a couple seconds and I pulled back.
Everyone cheered and giggled and he spun the bottle.
This went on for twenty minutes. It got interesting a few times when a couple girls had to kiss, and Michael and Andrew, two more football players kissed. Andrew even added a little tongue which got the circle pumped up. Alex hadn't gotten landed on yet, much to my happiness.
"Okay! This is boring," I announced, "Someone find a hat or something, it's time to kick this up to seven minutes in heaven."
Someone left the circle and brought back someone's LA hat. We each pulled out an object and threw it in the hat. I tossed in my right stud from my ear. I didn't catch what Alex had put in.
"Kayleigh first again?"
I didn't know who asked, but I shook my head, "Let someone else have the fun."
Andrew reached in and pulled out a black and white cell phone case. Sara stood up. I grinned and led them to my shed that was basically empty, "You have seven minutes, have fun."
I closed the door and we all gathered around. There was silence and then a girly moan. Everyone backed away and tried to cover up their laughter. We went back to the circle until my phone beeped.
"Time!" I yelled and opened the door. They both stepped out breathless and red faced. I giggled as they sat back down. I stopped at a table and downed another two shots.
"Alex next!" A brunette yelled. I recognized her as one of the girls that had constantly followed Alex around during All Time Low's performance week.
The hat was passed to Alex and he pulled out an object. It shone in the dim light and I recognized the item to be my earring.
"What are the chances?" A voice laughed. A few annoyed sighs came from a few of the girls. I couldn't hide my grin as we both stood up and went into the shed.
The door closed and almost all sound was cut off.
"Are you having fun?" He asked in a quiet voice.
"I will be in a minute," I said without thinking and reached for the back of his head. Surprisingly, he met me half way and our lips met. Sparks, fireworks, butterflies and Goosebumps erupted at once. It was the most amazing feeling of my life. It reminded me of our first kiss, so many years ago.
This kiss was different, but the same. He deepened the kiss and I pulled off his beanie, tangling my fingers into his longish, soft hair.
I slid my tongue along his bottom lip and he opened, fighting for dominance. I let him win, loving the taste of alcohol and him. He pushed slightly and I backed up into the wall behind me. He rested on hand on my lower back on one was on my hip. I brought my hands to his chest and slipped off his black leather jacket with the white stripe off. He always looked so sexy in that jacket, and even sexier without it.
"Time!" Someone yelled. We both ignored them and continued making out. He bit my bottom lip and I went weak in the knees.
The doorknob jiggled and I reached for the knob and pulled it back as it opened.
"Looks like they aren't coming out anytime soon," The person, who I recognized now to be Sara announced. I could have sworn I heard annoyed voice complaining that I always got what I want, but I didn't care. The only thing I really wanted was Alex, and at this very moment in time, I had him.
He moved his hands from their place on my back and started gliding them along my stomach and hips. I pulled him closer, never wanting this to end.
"Kayleigh," Someone banged on the door.
We broke apart for a second to catch our breath, and then our lips collided again.
"Kayleigh!" Haylee yelled.
I pulled away from Alex reluctantly, and snapped, "What?"
"We have a problem," She said.
I cracked the door open slightly while Alex fumbled around to get his jacket and bean on in the dark, "What?"
"Alexis showed up with a bunch of her freshmen friends," She explained quickly.
"Tell Cameron to round them up and kick them out," I told her. People would do anything Cameron asked them to do, and Cameron would do anything I asked him to, "Is that all?"
"No other than Taylor showed up too," She said.
"Oh ok—what?" I blinked.
"Yeah she just walked in the front door. What do you want done about that?"
"I'll deal with that myself," I said. I looked over my shoulder at Alex who was grinning, "I'll be right back."
I followed Haylee from the shed inside the house, grabbing two shots and downing them. I needed liquid courage. Haylee lead me into the kitchen where Taylor stood with two guys I didn't recognize.
"Leave," I demanded as I walked up to her. The kitchen fell silent instantly.
"No," She stated, taking a sip of her drink that looked to be straight tequila.
"Get the fuck out of my house," I said, anger and annoyance seeping into my voice.
"Make me," She challenged.
"Really, after the other day you really want to push me?"
"Please, it was an unfair fight."
"How is me kicking your ass one-on-one unfair?" I asked. She didn't answer, instead she lifted her hand and attempted to back hand me. I caught her by the wrist and laughed, "Self-defence classes really pay off, you should try some."
She ripped her wrist out of my hand and glared at me. I let out another laugh, the alcohol in my system starting to take over.
"Why are you even here?" I asked, not being able to control myself, "You interrupted my make out session with Alex."
White hot fury glared back at me from her eyes. I smirked, "He's such an amazing kisser."
She lost her temper and shoved me back. Usually, that wouldn't have affected me, but since I was half drunk, I stumbled back onto the floor, but not before grabbing her arm, dragging her down with me. She was faster to recover than I was and planted her foot in my shin. Being intoxicated, I couldn't feel it. I retaliated with a sloppy punch, hitting her in her already bruised cheek. She yelped in pain and coiled away from me, giving me enough time to gather myself. She tried to stand up, but I pulled her down again, and she hit her head on the floor.
The party had stopped and everyone was pushing their way into the kitchen to see Taylor and I go at round two.
Once Taylor recovered from her fall, she lunged at me, knocking me into the table, causing beer to spill all over the floor. All the guys cheered and someone yelled for Taylor to rip my shirt off. I swung at her again, nailing her in the jaw at the same time she brought a fist into my stomach. I gasped for air and grab her hair, pulling her across the floor.
"Kayleigh!"
I was really getting sick of people yelling my name. I was too dizzy to tell where the voice came from. The next thing I know, Alex was trying to pull Taylor and me apart. One of the guys that she had shown up with jumped in at the same time. My thrashing caused Alex to lose balance and stumble into the guy trying to pick Taylor up. The guy, who was probably more drunk than Alex and I together, let go of Taylor and punched Alex in the face.
"Alex!" I yelled, letting go of Taylor. She slid back down to the ground. I helped Alex stand up and checked out his face. His nose was bleeding, but not broken thankfully. I turned to Taylor who finally had stood up and her friends.
"Get the fuck out, now!"
Surprisingly enough, she complied and the three of them left the kitchen. Seconds later the front door slammed. Everyone slowly cleared out of the kitchen and the music was turned back on.
"Are you okay?" I asked him.
He nodded, holding his nose. I grabbed paper towel and handed it to him. He bunched some up and wiped away the blood.
"I'm sorry," I apologized, feeling bad that this was my fault.
"It's fine," He mumbled through the paper towel, and I saw his cheeks lift into a smile.
I smiled back and helped him finish cleaning himself up. He disappeared to go wash off the left over blood and I half ass wiped up the spilt drinks. I moved the empty bottles on the counter and slid up onto it. The house reeked of alcohol. I could feel my drunkenness start to fade, so I took another two shots.
Alex reappeared in the kitchen a few minutes later. He grinned and came over to me. He leaned against the counter, "So where were we before someone so rudely interrupted us?" He asked, before closing the gap between our lips.
The butterflies attacked again and I felt like I was on a roller coaster as it dropped. The dizziness and butterflies felt amazing. I wrapped my legs around his waist and pulled him as close as the counter would let us. Neither of us cared that there were people coming in and out of the kitchen to get drinks and food, not that they acknowledged us anyways.
A good ten minutes later he pulled back slowly, leaving me wanting more, so much more.
"Why don't we go somewhere else?" He whispered in my ear. I nodded without thinking and jumped off the counter. We went downstairs to my room where we found Kim and Jack half naked on my bed.
"Use a condom!" I yelled before we went back upstairs to the guest bedroom. It was also occupied and there was no way I was stepping foot in my Dad's room.
"We could always leave…" He suggested. I nodded and we went outside to his car. We laughed for no reason and he started the car. He put his hand on my thigh as he pulled away from the curb and sped off. I didn't stop to think once that I had just ditched my own party and Alex was driving well under the influence.
