BlackLynx17: Going to work today, going to work today. It's not what you suspected people, I thought having a job would be amazing. It's actually work though, thank goodness I have fanfictions to relax me. I finished watching all the Hetalia's episodes so now I'm stuck with the fanfictions craving more. I plan on reading the manga when I have time, but it's all jumbled up. Oh well, hope you all enjoy this chapter.

Dragon's Love

Natsu, stick in hand, was writing the word love in the dirt. Love. L-O-V-E. Now what did this word mean Natsu wondered as he wrote it over and over again. Soon he didn't have enough space in the little patch of dirt he was at so he started moving, writing the word as he walked.
"Natsu? What are you doing?" Lucy asked walking over his love's.
"Writing, wondering what this word is." Natsu said.
"Love? You don't know what love is?" Lucy asked.
"No." Natsu said tossing his stick in the forest.
"Well it's a feeling silly." Lucy said walking in front of him.
Natsu leaned his head to the right, "feeling?"
"Yeah, like when I make you learn things and you get mad, that's a feeling. When we laugh together, that's a feeling too. Love is also a feeling, like how we feel towards Papa."
"Hmmm." Natsu hummed.
"Why are you so curious Natsu? Didn't you know what love is?" Lucy asked.
Before Natsu could answer though, Igneel came into the picture and walked up to his children.
"I'm heading into town little ones, is there anything you want me to get?" Igneel asked.
"I wanna go! I wanna go!" Lucy cheered.
Igneel stared down at her, "Lucy."
"I wanna go! I wanna go!" Lucy whined.
"Lucy, I've told you this already."
"But it's not fair!" Lucy pouted.
"I'm sorry then little one, maybe next time." Igneel said, regretting lying to the girl.
"Maybe... you're starting to sound like my Mo-..." Lucy didn't say anything else. She turned away from her Father and went to sit next to Natsu, drawing the word 'maybe' in the dirt next to Natsu's 'love'.
Igneel growled lowly before an idea came to mind.
"If you act really good while I'm gone I'll bring you back a present." He said.
Lucy's head whipped back, "present?!"
"Yeah, a present just for you and Natsu if he acts good as well." Igneel said.
"What type of present? Huh? Huh?" She asked jumping up and down.
"It's a surprise present, surprise meaning stay here and let Natsu watch you while I go out."
"Okay then Papa! Hurry up and leave now so you can come back with my present!" Lucy said shooing him off.
Igneel started chuckling, first she didn't want him to leave her and now she was shooing him off. Igneel thought he better listen to her before she changed her mind, but before he could leave he walked over to Natsu. He was staring at the dirt but Igneel didn't have time to be worried about the reasons behind it. He pushed the side of Natsu's head making him look up at him.
"Hmm?" Natsu hummed.
"I'm leaving, make sure you watch Lucy... carefully." Igneel growled.
Natsu sighed as he stood up and dusted the dirt of his pants, "okay."
Igneel nodded and finally flew away leaving his children to fend for themselves. Lucy stood around looking at her Papa fly off, waving and smiling at his retreating figure. Natsu just sighed and watched her, kicking up dirt. He continued watching her carefully as she dropped her hands and just stared off into the sky, then as she turned and stared over at him and then as she continued staring at him.
"Why are you staring at me?" Lucy asked cocking her head to the right.
"I'm watching you." Natsu answered.
"Oh..." Lucy said.
She started walking to the left, his eyes following her, and then to the right, his eyes still following her.
"Stop watching me!" Lucy finally screamed being creeped out.
"Don't suddenly get kidnapped then." Natsu said.
"I won't!"
"Okay then," Natsu said sitting back on the ground.
Lucy sighed out in relief and started watching Natsu. She remembered their conversation before and walked over to him, watching him stare at his hands.
"So Natsu, what don't you understand about love?" Lucy asked.
"Nothing."
"Nothing? If there's nothing you don't understand then why were you drawing it on the dirt?" She asked.
"I meant I know nothing about love so I understand nothing about it." Natsu furthered explained.
"Oh, well... hmm... do you remember Natsu? When I asked you not to fall in love with me?" Lucy asked sitting next to him.
"Yeah, that's all you would say everyday for a week." He answered.
"Well it seemed you didn't know what I was talking about since you don't know love. Well you do, but at the same time you don't. Alright then Natsu, what we feel about each other right now is love like how we do with Igneel. Being in love is different though, it's being with someone you love. Oh, well that's not explaining it either. Well... um, my Mo- a person once explained to me that when you're in love your heart starts racing and your hands gets clammy and you get all happy and lovey dovey and that's love." Lucy said.
"That's love?" Natsu asked.
"Yeah, that's love. Or at least, that's how I was told. I don't really know what being in love feels like, only that when you really love someone you kiss and get married." She said.
"Kissing and loving are related? Hmm, Lucy? Does this mean we have to have another class this week because technically I learned something." Natsu asked.
"Yes silly!" Lucy giggled patting his head.
"No fair, you taught it to me! It was like a class, only difference is that it wasn't at the stump." Natsu said.
"Natsu, we learn things everyday. We never stop learning, even by the smallest things. So technically you're having a class everyday." Lucy explained.
"So does this mean no more classes?! Hooray!" Natsu cheered.
Lucy growned and smacked her head, "when is Papa coming back?"
