nadya12: Thanks for reviewing. On the Bonnie thing, I didn't like her for 1-3, and I just starting to love her 4-5 so, We'll see about that.
Many of you hate Elena and Damon so I will have Caroline express her feelings to both of them. I am sorry if you like Damon, I am anti-Damon. They ruined his character season 4-5. I did like him a lot in season three. I am always anti-Elena, so I hope you don't have a problem with that.
You're Human
"Quetsiyah."
"We need to talk." She said sternly. Klaus immediately stood in front of Caroline. Quetsiyah smirked. "Don't worried hybrid, I won't hurt her." Her smirk grew as she looked at Caroline, "For now at least for now." Klaus growled.
"What do you want." Bonnie said angrily.
Quetsiyah walked closer. "I mean no harm. It seems to me, that you all took Silas down when he was still immortal. I have to say if Three baby vampires, a five hundred year old doppelgänger, and a witch did that. Just think of what four original vampires can do." Kol and Klaus eyed her. "Why should we help you?" Klaus said.
"Because if you don't," She paused and glanced at Caroline and Kol. "I will kill each of your siblings before I killed the girl you love. I am a two thousand-year old witch, don't think I can't do it." She warned.
"You do not command me!" Klaus shouted. Most people fear Klaus's shouts and declares but Quetsiyah stayed still. "Yell all you want Niklaus, but you will want to help me. Because not all supernatural creatures are back, but by the next full moon, they will be. Creatures that died over a thousand years, witches over two thousand!" She said angrily.
"Your mother who wouldn't waste a moment of her time killing your family and destroying vampires. You want my help and you need it." Klaus was furious. How dare this witch come here and threatened his girl and family? "Listen here Que-"
"I prefer Tessa. A little easier to say." The witch interrupted. Klaus glared harder. "Tessa, I do not need your help."
"But you are getting it. Do you honestly believe Caroline will just be a normal vampire?" Caroline looked at her curiously. "What's that suppose to mean?" She questioned with a snap. "It means that you still are very important... at least to the travelers, be glad they won't mess with your hybrid."
"You became human from a very magical spell, uses. Just make sure you keep the travelers under control. Your strength can be power even if you are a young vampire."
"How powerful?" Klaus muttered.
"You shouldn't be worried much. Just keep her away from travelers. They'd love to get their hands on her." Quetsiyah glanced at Bonnie.
"I just need you help." Bonnie looked confused. "I'm not as strong as I was." The older witch smiled and began with a chuckle. "You took down an original vampire, you put up the veil before too." She pointed out.
"I died in the process and somehow you got brought back to life." Bonnie said. Kol put his hand on Bonnie's shoulder. "You died because you put the person you love before you. You are still a Bennett and you are still strong." Bonnie looked at Quetsiyah hesitantly.
"Why should I trust you?"
"Because we're family Bonnie and you want to keep the people you love safe, don't you?" Bonnie took a deep breath. "I can end all of this Silas business and it'll be like it never happened."
"But it did." Caroline snapped. Quetsiyah looked at the blonde girl. "My cure victim, I can understand why you are mad but you must understand I need him dead and their was always a chance someone would drink the cure before it got into his hands."
Quetsiyah looked around at all of them. "So what's you maker?"
"Tell us your plan." Klaus commanded.
"A little birdy told me that Mikael and Silas are working together." Klaus closed his eyes angrily. His wolf-self wanted to let himself free and kill both of them but he knows he can't. "Mikael is the strongest original. Even if you have your werewolf strength, Niklaus. I will need two of you brother's to distract him. I will need Niklaus, Katherine, and Stefan to help me with Silas. That leaves Bonnie helping me with the spell and Caroline to make sure no one knows where Amara is. He will try to get her."
"Who?"
"The real original doppelgänger. Silas's one true love."
"I'm sorry, I thought you went... I don't know crazy and killed her." Quetsiyah looked somewhat offended. "You do crazy things for love, believe that girl. Once someone tries to steal what's yours, you have to fight to get it back."
"Not by killing someone." Caroline insisted
"Peace was more than she deserved. I wanted her to suffer like I made Silas suffer. Silas made her immortal and I wasn't going to waste the cure on her. I turned her into something that is worse than his punishment."
"Cut to the case." Bonnie said annoyed.
"Patients is key, Bonnie. I made her the anchor to the other side. To officially and finally destroy the other side, she has to die. He plans on letting her drain him, she becomes human, then they both die together."
"Wouldn't Silas die if she drained him?" Caroline asked.
"Once someone is drained from the cure, they have a chance to live again." Caroline nodded. "Why did I become a vampire again?" Caroline asked. "Magic comes in different ways. I am surprised myself you got to be a vampire again. Magic and witches usually hate vampires. But that isn't important anymore."
Quetsiyah turned to the two originals. "I have Amara. She's stone at the moment. If we provoke him, Bonnie and I can do a spell to keep him down and that is where you come in, Niklaus. He wants Amara and he knows I will stop at nothing to make sure she's still suffering."
"How is she suffering when she's stone?"
"Just because she's stone doesn't mean she can't feel. Once every dead supernatural creature dies, they go through her and she feels how they died." Caroline and Bonnie's eyes widened. "I don't remember going through her!"
"Bonnie you didn't even remember dying." Quetsiyah pointed out. "How could you do something so monstrous! All she wanted to do is be with the guy she loved." Caroline said angrily. How could someone be so evil?
"You do crazy things for love." She said again. Caroline looked at Klaus. Would she ever do something horrible for him?, She wondered.
"She's somewhere Silas can never get her. Silas may be powerful but he could never beat me and thousand Bennett witches." Bonnie looked at her confused. "She's left in Mystic Falls?"
"Underneath it, with a very strong protection spell might I add. We end Silas, Bonnie and I put up the veil, then I die. So, Do we have a deal or do I have to use force?" She asked.
Klaus looked uncertain as well as Bonnie and Kol. "How do I know you won't cross me?" He asked, his jaw was clenched and his face hardened. Quetsiyah walked in front of him. "Because I want that son of a bitch to die as much as you do. Deal or no, hybrid?"
"Under one condition." He watched Caroline and everyone else look confused.
"What?" She asked. "Bring my brother and the little witch back to life." Bonnie looked as if she saw a ghost. Klaus was trying to bring her back to life? They hate each other. She understood why he would want Kol back.
Quetsiyah hesitated but nodded. "You are lucky I have a soft spot for family. If this works and Silas dies, I give you my word, I will bring them back to life."
"Then we have a deal. I will discuss the plan with Elijah and Silas will die."
"Good, Because if you don't, I will show no mercy. You know what I did to Silas and Amara, that won't be able to compare to what I'll do to you." Klaus was ready to attack her but Caroline grabbed his hands and shook her head.
"Even the weakest things make us human." Quetsiyah said watching the couple.
Quetsiyah looked at Caroline. "Give me your hand." She ordered. "For what?" Caroline asked full of attitude. "You have fatal werewolf scratches all over your back, I am trying to help."
Bonnie nudged Caroline. "Trust her." Quetsiyah smirked at the girls.
Klaus watched as Caroline hesitantly gave Quetsiyah her hand. Quetsiyah chanted under her breath. Bonnie listened to the spell, she needed to make sure Quetsiyah wasn't hurting her.
Caroline felt her back heal. It was no longer in pain.
Once Quetsiyah was done, she looked around. "I'll be back tomorrow. Be careful, many enemies out there." She warned before smirking.
She slowly turned around and walked away.
Next Morning
Caroline slowly walked into Damon and Elena's cell. Jeremy, Matt, and Liz were packing to leave.
Caroline couldn't have them here. She didn't know what she'd do if they got hurt. It took a while to convince Matt and Jeremy it was the right thing to do. Bonnie was saying her goodbyes to both of them. She also told them she has a chance to come back to life and she'll call them. It was hard for her mother to understand as well.
"Mom, I can't have you getting hurt. Most of the vampires that came back to life don't have daylight rings, so you, Jeremy, and Matt need to leave New Orléans by sun down." Liz shook her head. "I can't leave you Caroline. I'm your mother, I have to protect you."
Caroline shook her head and grabbed Liz's hands. "You've done a great job for nineteen years. It's time for you to be free, in Mystic Falls. Who knows maybe you'll even find a guy." Caroline smiled. "I can't live without mom. I promise Klaus will protect me, like he always does. I'll call you everyday. Just got back to your job and live the rest of your amazing life not having to worry about vampires."
"Caroli-"
"Matt will take you home before him and Jeremy go back to Colorado to live their human lives. Please, for me?"
"I have to protect you." Liz continued to argue.
Caroline looked her in the eyes and compelled her, even though she didn't know if Liz was taking vervain or not. "You are going to leave with Matt and Jeremy because it is the right this to do. You are going to back home and you are going to act normal. You are going to trust me and believe me enough to know, I love you. You are going to stay away from vampires, meet a guy and continue that Forbes family. We'll talk everyday, you'll take some time off of work for yourself and you will be happy." She compelled, hoping it worked.
Liz smiled. "Okay honey I'll go, but I love you."
"I love you too, mom."
She saw them chained up. She hated that she felt pity for Elena, but she did. "Caroline?" Elena asked. "Jeremy and Matt are packing. They are taking my mom home before they go back to Colorado. They need to leave before sun down or things will get ugly." She said avoiding eye contact.
"And us?" Elena asked.
"You guys will leave once all of this is over." Damon chuckled. "It's funny that you think that this will all be over. Caroline, have you met these people? Klaus won't just let us go until we pay for trying to get you killed." Caroline felt anger control her.
She walked in front of where Damon sat.
"You should be thanking me for saying your life. I could've let him kill you and I should've let him kill you, do not mess with me, Damon." She warned. "Look who's went and got ballsy. Not such an insecure little girl anymore are you." He teased. Caroline chuckled bitterly.
"Go a head, laugh all you want to. But I'm not the one chained up right now. I'm not the one who has an immortal hybrid ready and willing to rip my head off. I'm not the one trying to get killed. Laugh, tease me about how you abused me, fed on me, tortured, tried to kill me."
"Because everything that you did to me is a joke right? Let's all laugh at how you tried to break me. You did, but I am still here. I'm stronger and better than you are. Joke about the insecure girl who has so much people that's her. I have Stefan, I have Rebekah, I have Bonnie, and I have Katherine."
"Who do you have Damon? Elena?" Caroline chuckled while Damon's face hardened.
"You will always be second choice to Stefan. You'll never truly be the one. You had the sire bond to thank. I have everything Damon. You have nothing. You are a joke! Laugh it up. You have a target on your back, Damon. Don't try me." She threatened.
She was shocked by her own words. She was no longer the insecure little girl.
"Do you honestly believe any word that comes out of your mouth, Caroline?" He asked. Caroline smirked. "I believe every word. I want you out of this town and out of my life for good." She stood up and Elena spoke. "Caroline, I'm sorry. Please just let me help you."
"Why should? So you could betray me again? Elena, I would have done anything for you. You have always been like my sister even when why didn't get along. I wanted to be like you, so much. But now, look at you. You use to be kind, and thoughtful, and a kind-hearted person. That person was completely gone when she called me a 'blood-sucking, control freak, monster'."
" I decided I can't be friends with someone who treats me like that. Someone who has tried to kill my mom. I have to let you go. Because in this friendship, I always end up getting hurt."
She watched Elena sob. She closed her eyes and walked away.
"Well, That was more than expected." A voice said walking in.
Damon and Elena turned their heads and saw Katherine and Rebekah.
"Katherine, what a lovely surprise." Damon said bitterly. "And you too Sexy Bex, it's been awhile. I've heard you're dating my brother. Should I welcome you into the family?" He joked. Katherine smirked. "Or you could just watch the girl you love get tortured. Let's go with that."
Katherine looked over to Elena who was glaring. "Aw, honey you look awful, too bad. Stand up." She ordered.
Elena looked at her with a glare. Katherine and Rebekah rolled their eyes. "I guess you have to do by force, more fun." Katherine chuckled. She looked at Damon, fiercely, "You might want to compel that one." She suggested.
Rebekah nodded and kneeled down to Damon. He looked away from her which made Rebekah grab his jaw and made him look at her.
"You will sit here and be quiet. Your eyes will never leave Elena's. You will watch her in pain and wonder why you can't help. You will feel guilt fill your soul." She compelled. Katherine forcefully grabbed Elena's arm and wrapped her hands around Elena's throat, making Elena look at her.
"Don't pout cupcake, it's just business."
Caroline watched New Orléans from the balcony.
She loved watching over the city. Her and Klaus' city. Everything went from hell to heaven then to hell again. She wanted to forget everything after this. She wanted to be free from this.
"Don't jump." Stefan joked standing besides her. "I wouldn't dream of it." Stefan nodded. "They are about to leave, you should go say goodbye." He suggested. "I already did." Stefan sighed.
"Talk to me. What's wrong Caroline?"
"Everything, do you understand how hard this is?" She asked. "Of course I do." He defended.
"Just two years ago this was normal, like was normal... and now? I can't even step outside my house with being afraid. People are out to kill me, out to kill the people I love. My best friend betrayed me. Yes, Elena and I haven't got a long a lot but we've always been there for each other. I would die for her, people have died for her. She acted innocent about it! Like how she was innocent for trying to kill me and my mom. 'She wasn't her' or 'She apologized' is all I hear."
"Then what about Damon. She wanted me to accept him so much. After he mentally and physically abused me. I was willing to because I love her but I hate him. He tortured me. He belittles me and I am sick of it! I can't handle all of this Stefan. I am not you! I can't handle this pressure and fear!"
Stefan watched as she sat on the bench chair.
"All I have is this sadness and this anger an-" Stefan cut her off. "And me." He finished. "You have me and Klaus, Rebekah and even though she doesn't like to admit it, you have Katherine. Elijah will protect you and you have Bonnie. Caroline, we all feel the same as you. But we have each other."
"How did you find yourself forgiving her?" She ask in a whisper.
"Forgive who?" He asked. She looked him in the eye. "Katherine, I know you see the good in people, but how did you forgive her?" She asked quietly. Stefan sighed, licking his lips. "Katherine may had ruined my life and my brother and I's relationship, She was trying to safe herself. She's manipulative, but then I realized. I am no better than she is. One sip on human blood, makes me rip off heads."
"How did you forgive Klaus?" He asked.
"He showed me the part of him that was human, the part of him that cared."
Klaus and Quetsiyah walked into an old cabin house.
She told him a which from New Orléans lived there. She thought there would be a type of spell to stop Silas' magic and keep him down. He was such a powerful witch, not even she could keep him down without a spell.
"Where's your girl?" Quetsiyah questioned.
Klaus' jaw clenched. He was tired of her questions and interrogations. "At home." He said annoyed. "Like all girls should I suppose." She muttered. He glanced at her. "She is a women not a girl" Quetsiyah chuckled. "Well of course."
"How is that going? Pretending to be the man she wants?" Klaus angrily looked at her. "What?!" He asked. She smirked.
"I know all about you and the girl. She doesn't like the bad guys, she's a good girl. I know what it's like. When Silas and I were more... normal. I tried my best to stay sane. I didn't want him to fear me."
"Right, because killing the girl he loved help that. Stefan told me all about your sappy love story. You were the love-sick fool, believed every word he said. Then while you were asleep, he went to see the woman he really loved." Klaus smirked. Quetsiyah looked furious.
"You men are all the same. You think you deserve the crown. You think you are in charge, right? How do you even know what you feel is real? One day there could be another Caroline. A better Caroline." There is no better Caroline, he thought.
She continued. "That is how I felt. I felt as if he wanted better. Call me a woman's scorn or a vindictive bitch, but I loved him. I thought I was his everything and then I found out he was sleeping with a better version of me! One of the doppelgänger whores! A version of the girl every man seems to love or care for!" She yelled.
"Your girl might think I am a horrible person, but my heart was ripped out of my chest. When I turned him into stone, he screamed for her. So answer this, Do you truly love her?"
"With all of my heart."
"Then she is one of the lucky ones. Killing him is the closer, I need." The fireplace lit up in the old cabin house. "I am close to finding the spell I need to get Silas down. Then you'll rip his heart out when I am looking straight into his eyes. Like that bastard deserves."
Klaus nodded.
"Just be glad revenge is something I give a gold star for."
Elena was in hell.
"Scream louder, Elena. No one can hear you." Katherine smirked. She grabbed a stake and stabbed Elena's arm. Elena cried. Katherine already forced her to eat vervain. Rebekah stabbed Elena in her abdomen. "That's for daggering me."
Katherine slapped her. "That is for making Elijah leave me." Elena groaned. "I didn't make him leave, he did it himself."
Katherine put a glove on and grabbed the vervain flower. "So much talk, let's get back to business." She forced Elena put the vervain down her mouth. "Hungry aren't you." Elena spit blood out of her mouth.
Rebekah went in front of her with a wooden sword.
"A little obvious, I know but luckily it still hurts like a bitch." She stabbed Elena's leg. Elena did a high pitch scream. "I forgot to mention it was laced with vervain." Rebekah teased. "I'm sorry, I'm truly sorry."
" 'I'm truly sorry' you must think I'm stupid Elena. You're just telling me what I want to hear. But you are wrong again. The only thing I want to hear is your screams of pain." She grabbed the bottle filled with water.
"Sweetie, you look awful. Let's clean you up." She opened the water bottle and water fell on Elena, head to toe. Elena felt her skin burn. Elena sobbed. "Oh did I forget vervain water." She repeated like Rebekah.
"Katherine, darling, I think our friend needs sun light." Rebekah said taking off Elena's daylight ring. "No." Elena moaned. Katherine smirked. "Great, we do have a lovely window." Rebekah untied her ropes.
"Katherine, why don't you soak her ropes in vervain." Rebekah offered. Katherine shrugged.
Rebekah grabbed Elena's throat and forced her to the sunlight. "No!" Elena's body felt on fire. Even when Damon and Stefan tortured her, it never felt like this. Katherine and Rebekah were torturing her out of hate. "Stop! Please stop!" She begged. "I'm sorry what was that?" She asked.
Elena's skin felt like fire but Rebekah wasn't going to let go. Elena's leg caught on fire. "Stop!" She screamed in terror. Elena jumped around trying to get out of Rebekah's hold. But the original vampire was too strong.
Rebekah threw her into the pole. She closed the blinds to the window.
Elena cried in pain as she slowly and painfully healed. "Why are you doing this to me?" Elena asked.
"It's simple, darling. I want revenge."
"Why do you think I need your help at all?" Silas asked Mikael.
"In a way, we want the same thing. I want to be alive again. I want to see my children's face as a torture that bastard Niklaus." Mikael said angrily. "Niklaus is focused on me and keeping his girl safe. Elijah will be focused on me as well. I am pretty sure you could keep my daughter in control. That leave all three of them distracted. Katherine, Stefan Salvatore, and their little witch can't stand a chance." Silas smirked.
"Usually I work alone but luckily, you've just proven yourself useful. I am just waiting for Tessa to get here. She obsessed with me. That's the only reason why she wants the other side. So she and I can be together for ever."
"So we have a deal." Mikael asked sternly. Silas chuckled. "Lighten up, we're both getting what we want. You want your bastard son in misery, while I want to die with my one true love." Silas smiled. "There is one thing we should do to your son though, he just happened to make me mad."
"What should we do?"
"I want to hurt the two people he cares most for."
"And who is that?" Mikael asked. "You know who. Who has stuck by him for a thousand years and who is he in love with?"
"Rebekah and Caroline."
Bonnie found Stefan and Caroline talking.
"Caroline, Klaus is back." She told her. Caroline smiled. "How was your talk with Jeremy by the way?" Caroline asked. Bonnie sighed. "Fine, he was a little hurt I didn't tell him about Kol before. He had high hopes we'd get back together."
"Well you are pretty amazing. I'd be upset too." Bonnie chuckled. "Come on suck-up. We have to talk to your boyfriend and my boyfriend." Stefan stood up. "Has anyone seen my girlfriend?"
"No, actually I haven't seen her or Katherine all day." She asked worried.
"There is no way they left the house. I've had the house on lockdown this whole time." Bonnie said. Before anyone could reply, Elijah, Klaus, and Kol walked in. "We have a slight problem." Kol said. "What do you mean a slight problem, Kol?" Bonnie asked fiercely.
Suddenly everyone heard a high-pitched scream. It was Elena's.
"That's what I mean."
Caroline, Bonnie, and Stefan hurryingly ran to the screams. The others followed.
They walked into the cell and saw Katherine with a stake above Elena's heart and Rebekah yelling at her to stop. Elena was cover with blood, blood dripped everywhere and her clothes were burned. Damon just stared at Elena, looking terrified. "Katerina." Elijah said. Katherine sighed. She looked over seeing Kol smirking, Bonnie and Caroline looking afraid, Stefan shocked, Elijah disappointed, and Klaus didn't seem fazed.
"Stop this Katerina, you don't want this."
"No, I do. Everything is perfect little Elena's fault. She does a horrible thing, she gets to live. I'm doing her a favor, she wouldn't last a week as a vampire without every funning over her."
"Katherine, please." Caroline begged, her voice was thick. "She tried to kill me with a pathetic vampire as back up. She isn't getting away this time." Katherine said angrily. "Stop, Katherine!" Bonnie demanded. "Or I will take you down." Bonnie challenged.
"I have a stake in my hand. If I feel any pain at all, I will drive this stake into her heart." Elijah walked closer to her.
"I said this before Katerina, you are better than this. Stop hiding behind this 'Katherine' façade." Katherine glanced at him. "I'm not good, Elijah. I've never been good." Elijah nodded and took another step closer. "You're right. You're selfish. You take anything thing you want, everything you want and you never give it back." He continued to walk closer.
"You too the one thing I thought was gone five hundred years ago."
"And what was that?" She asked.
"My heart. I didn't believe in love, I thought all hope was gone. Then this beautiful, sweet, innocent girl came into my life. I knew she was a means to end but I couldn't stand the thought of not knowing her. I almost would've betrayed my brother for you. I had to leave my family because I choose to pick you over them."
"I choose to hunt for you, because I was angry. Then Katherine Pierce offers to meet me in some scummy breakfast place. She wants me to help her get the cure and break free of my brother. Somehow I was stupid enough to say yes. Because after five hundred years, I still can't say no to a beauty like her. My first true love. She came into my heart. Both Katherine and Katerina."
"Do this because I am asking you to choose me, Katerina. Let her go."
At this point Elijah was right behind her. "Let her go." He said carefully in her ear. Katherine slowly put her arm down and Elijah took the stake and threw it on the floor. Katherine took a deep breath before looking at everyone in the room.
Elijah carefully pulled her out of the room as Bonnie ran to Elena and Stefan checked on Damon. "Why isn't he talking?" Stefan asked. "Because I compelled him not too." Rebekah answered. Stefan slowly looked up. "You were a part of this?" He asked. Rebekah looked away in shame.
Rebekah kneeled in front of Damon and took the compulsion off.
Klaus had his hand on Caroline's shoulder.
"Caroline," Rebekah started. "No! Whatever you have to say, you better say it to Stefan." Caroline said angrily. "Just leave me alone." She demanded before angrily walking away.
Caroline was a vampire again and she was angry.
She paced around Klaus's office room. She didn't know how to control her anger without hurting something or someone. She was angry with Rebekah and Katherine. Then let's not forget Elena and Damon. But she also had to deal with Silas, Mikael, and Quetsiyah. Her ex-boyfriend and old friend tried to kill her. Some werewolf how slept with her boyfriend scratched her. She couldn't handle all of this at once.
She looked at the papers laid on the table. She furiously threw them off the desk. She flipped the desk over.
"Stop, love." Klaus said coming in.
"I'm angry, I can't handle this. We have so much on our plate already! We do not need to worry about Katherine and Rebekah, yet here they are planning to kill someone. How could I not hear that. Neither did Stefan or Bonnie or Elijah or Kol. You were out with Quetsiyah making a plan and I was sending every human out of here and back to a safe spot! I had to say goodbye to Matt, Jeremy, and my mom again!"
"How do you think Jeremy would feel if I called him and said 'I know you just left but you should come back and deal with your dead sister's body!" She screeched. Klaus pulled her to him. "Let go of me." She ordered.
"Calm down." He whispered softly into her ear.
"Please, let me go." She cried.
"You need to control yourself. You've done it before, you can do it again. Remember who you are. You are an amazing, strong, independent girl who is also stubborn and neurotic. You're full of light and simply beautiful. Remember that you are good." He told her.
She took a deep breath and felt like herself again.
