Side Lined: Author's Note
OK- I hear you. Shock, Horror- end of the current story. Obviously, things are unfolding to the Scandal in Belgravia, so in lots of respects the story doesn't "end". I will be continuing the saga in a sequel, called "Level Up", which covers the back story during the Scandal, the Hounds and the start of RF, filling in the gaps between the episodes and some of the scenes. I intend posting sometime just after the New Year. I will only post once I have enough of the story written so I can keep posting updates once a day- I find it too irritating to read stories that go days/weeks/months between updates. (I lose the plot, and sometimes the will to live, must be my age and failing short term memory)
In the meantime, I will be posting more one shots on the Ex Files, and I have two new shorter stories that explore Sherlock-Lestrade (no slash!) that will be posted between now and Christmas. i am also nearly done with a Five plus one on Sherlock that is called "Entitled" that one is probably going to go up starting this weekend.
I am also working on two other longer stories –The Shooting Party and Musgrave Blaze- likely to appear in January. If you want to keep up, follow me as an author, so you don't miss things.
I do have a question to ask re Side Lined and Collateral Damage, and would welcome your feedback. The first story Collateral Damage had 97 reviews, 41 followers and 34 Favourites. Oh, and 18,000 views since it was first published on 4 October (last post was on 18 October). Conversely, Side lined has more reviews (yeah!) at 125 so far, 40 followers, but only 12 favourites. And only 10,500 views while it was running from 12 November to 4 Dec. So, a piece of me wants to know why Side Lines didn't hit the right buttons to get favourited. Any suggestions as to how it could be improved, please PM or review now- it will help me do better on Level Up.
I'm like Irene, I want to know what you like and what you didn't like. Now that you've seen the whole story you can judge it as a whole, rather that chapter by chapter.
Can I thank all my reviewers whose support and feedback are so very, very helpful. I have made a lot of fanfic friends through PMs and reviews, and learned a lot as a result. These stories would not be the same without you. Thanks. I mean it. A lot. You know who you are, because your in box has been groaning with my PMs.
As Sherlock says, "Laters.."
