End of a bloodline

Siver stood there frozen. He was absolutely paralyzed in shock as he looked down at the girl who had wiped out hundreds of his men singlehandedly in just a few moments. What kind of person could do such a thing? It should have been impossible.

The girl—no, the monster was glaring up at him. She stared daggers at him, her expression a promise of his demise at her hands. "Kill them all!" Siver shouted to his remaining men. His voice cracked with fear as he gave his orders.

The men hesitated for a moment before obediently charging with their weapons at the ready. Siver just stood there and watched. For the life of him he couldn't get his legs to move.

One man went for Hicca. With an axe at the ready he swung it vertically at her legs. But Hicca reacted quickly, with a leap she flipped off the table. The man swung his axe in the other direction, trying to behead her. Hicca ducked and stabbed the man in the stomach with her Ninjato before slitting his throat with her kunai.

The man gasped and died while other men rushed to his aid. Hicca put her weapons away and back flipped away from the charging men. After gaining a few feet of breathing room she stood at the ready and drew her Ninjato. Suddenly something bumped into her from behind. Glancing over her shoulder she saw she was back to back with Ash.

"Hey Ash," she said casually despite the life and death battle they were currently in.

Ash whirled around and looked down at her with a glare. He then raised a finger and pointed it in her face. "OHHHH! OOOOO! ARRRRGGHHH!" he growled out as his finger shook. At one point he raised his hands up in what looked like a strangling motion. "I am so mad at you right now Hicca!"

Hicca cocked her head to the side in confusion. "What did I do?" she asked indignantly.

His mouth fell open in disbelief. "You scared the crap out of me! That's what you did," he shouted at her. He paused and spun around to parry and slash at an attacking Scarred One before turning back to her to continue his argument. "I thought you were going to marry that monster."

Hicca narrowed her eyes at him in offense. "You honestly thought I would EVER marry that man. Do you seriously not remember the ass kicking I gave you when you tried to force me to marry you?" she shot back at him.

"You couldn't at least share your plan with me?" he retorted.

"I kind of made it up on the spot. I didn't exactly have time to give you the details."

He snorted in annoyance at her answer. He was battling anger and relief at having her back again. "Did you really have to drug me?"

Hicca paused in answering as a Scarred One rushed her. She stabbed the man in the heart before pulling her Ninjato free and delivering a spin kick to the man's face. With the man incapacitated she turned back around to look at Ash. "Well you were going to ruin my plan," she explained with a scowl.

Ash frowned before turning around and standing back to back with her as they waited for more attackers to charge. They worked well in synch, covering and defending each other from attacks and downing many of the remaining Scarred Ones.

"Did Siver do anything to you?" Ash asked not turning around.

"No," Hicca replied shortly. "Well…" she continued hesitantly.

"What happened?" Ash asked whirling around and looking at her with concern.

"Nothing…he just kind of kissed me," Hicca admitted weakly.

Ash blinked in surprise at her answer. "WHAT!" he roared angrily. "He kissed you?!"

"Well it's not like I wanted him to. You think I wanted his lips on me and his tongue in my mouth," she said shuddering in disgust at the memory.

"HE STUCK HIS TONGUE IN YOUR MOUTH!?" Ash shouted.

Hicca was about to relay the terrible experience when a shout caught her attention. A Scarred One was charging her. She held her weapon at the ready, prepared to face the man. Meanwhile an internal maelstrom was brewing inside Ash the likes of which Viking kind had never seen. How dare Siver kiss his woman! How dare he put his hands on her! How dare he stick his tongue into her mouth! Only his tongue belonged in there!

Ash needed to release his anger. But he wasn't in the forest. These poor men were about to be an outlet for his boiling protective Viking fury.

(Beast mode engaged)

As the man was about to attack Hicca with his sword Ash stepped in front of her and blocked with his own. With a shove he slashed the man across the side making him stumble back in pain. Then he stepped forward and with a spin cut the man's head off in one quick motion. It went sailing through the air as blood spurted out of his body.

A shout from Hicca right caught Ash' attention next and before Hicca could react he stepped in front of her at the ready. The man came at him with a sword and slashed at him from the left. Ash parried the blow and then stabbed the end of his sword into the man's left foot. The man howled in pain before Ash punched him across the jaw. Dazed, the man couldn't defend as Ash pulled his sword out of his foot and then kicked him hard in the chest, sending him tumbling backward in a heap.

Another shout got his attention. Turning around with a snarl on his face he saw a man rush at Hicca from behind. Taking the hilt of his sword in both hands he raised it above his head before throwing it at the man. The sword spun through the air before piercing the man's chest. He gaped wide eyed in shock before falling backward and dying.

Another man stepped around his dying comrade and attempted to get at Hicca once more. But Ash charged him and with a leap he cocked back his fist. The man was about to attack him when Ash swung his fist forward with all his strength. He broke the man's nose as his fist crashed into his face and immediately slammed the man to the floor with the force of his punch.

Hicca stood there wide eyed as Ash was taking out any man who came too close to her. Her heart fluttered at seeing Ash so protective. Suddenly a shout from behind caught her attention. She spun around just in time to see a man throwing a punch at her. Hicca was about to dodge the blow when an arm shot out over her left shoulder.

Ash had seen the man move to punch Hicca and surged forward. With his hand he stopped the man's attack in its tracks, much to the man's shock. The man stood there stunned that Ash could just stop his blow like that. He had to have at least a couple hundred pounds on the smaller man.

Ash then gently pushed Hicca behind him with his free hand. He glared daggers at the man. "Don't. Touch. My. Woman," he growled at the man lowly.

The man narrowed his eyes before throwing a jab at Ash's face with his other arm. He caught Ash across the jaw. But Ash only stumbled back a step before locking eyes with the man. Ash simply cracked his neck before stepping forward. "That all you got?" he asked challengingly.

The man growled before throwing a right cross that Ash simply blocked with his left hand before punching the man across the jaw with his right. The bigger man stumbled back and was spun by Ash's punch. He whirled around to face Ash once more and threw another punch. But Ash simply caught the man's fist once again with his right hand before punching him once more cross the jaw with his left. The man stumbled back once more and spun away.

Turning back around to face Ash he was met with a jab to the nose that forced him back until he backed into a table. Getting frustrated he swung at Ash from the right. But Ash ducked and weaved in the opposite direction before punching the man in the stomach. The man doubled over in pain before Ash grabbed the man by the throat.

In a grunt of exertion Ash lifted the man off the ground with one arm, much to the bigger man's shock. The man was wide eyed as he felt himself being lifted off the gorund before Ash slammed him through the table behind him with enough for to split it in two. The man groaned in pain before blacking out.

Hicca stood there, her face flushing red as she watched Ash slam a man at least twice his size through a table. She looked at his shoulders heaving as he came down from his berserker rage. She was wondering if it was wrong that the display of ultra-violence she just witnessed had just made her more attracted to Ash than she had ever been.

Suddenly Ash turned around and locked eyes with her. She stiffened in fright at his expression. He still looked pissed. Then he slowly stalked forward. While advancing he yanked his sword out from the Scarred One from beofre's body.

Hicca backed away from Ash, unsure if he was suddenly going to turn his rage on her. She kept backing up until her backside bumped again a table. Then she just stood there, leaning back as Ash reached her. She remained motionless as she waited for Ash to do something.

Ash just held her gaze before sheathing his sword. Then he reached out and placing his left hand at the small of her back and his right hand behind her head and pulled her to him. He crashed his lips over hers in a fierce possessive kiss that made Hicca's knees weak.

She closed her eyes and moaned into the kiss as Ash moved his lips against hers and bent her over the table and held her close. When he stuck his tongue into her mouth she immediately forgot about the feeling of Siver's. This is what she'd hoped for. This felt right.

After a few moments Ash stood her up straight and pulled back. When he did her eyes were still half closed as she looked at him in adoration. She had a goofy grin on her face as Ash locked eyes with her.

"Only I'm kissing you from now on. Got it?" he said sharply. Hicca just nodded, still in a daze from the kiss.

"Ahem," came a deep voice.

The couple pulled apart and turned to look into the stern eyes of Stoick. "Oh. Hi daddy," Hicca said with a sheepish smile. She tried to suppress her red face at having kissed Ash right in front of everyone.

"You're grounded," Stoick said gruffly.

Hicca's mouth dropped open. "Aww what? Why?"

"Because I said so," he growled out while turning to slash at a man.

"But I led us here," Hicca argued.

"Grounded!" was his response.

"But…"

"Grounded!"

"Ugh fine," Hicca said with a defeated sigh. "Until when?"

"Until you're as old as Gothi," Stoick said while he continued to battle.

"But Gothi is ancient," she cried out indignantly. "I'll be dead before I can fly again," she protested.

"Then you better get used to walking," was Stoick's retort. "Grounded!"

Hicca frowned at her grounding before a croon at her side caught her attention. She turned to see Toothless bounding up to her. When he reached her he immediately sniffed at her for injuries. "I'm fine hun," she said to reassure him. Toothless smiled at her in relief before licking her in the face. "Eww," she shrieked while wiping off her face.

Toothless just smiled at her. Glad to have his rider by his side.

All around the Hooligans were winning the battle. The twins fought together as Ruffnut hurled her shuriken at approaching enemies and then her brother finished them off with a stab from his spear.

However as one man charged him with a hatched in hand Tuffnut decided to see if he'd mastered what Hicca had taught him. As the man came at him he threw his pear down. The man was surprised but didn't stop his charge.

As the man swung his hatchet at Tuffnut, Tuffnut ducked and punched him in the gut. As the man doubled over in pain Tffnut grabbed his weapon arm with his left and twisted it back. The man cried out in pain as he dropped his weapon.

"DIM MAK!" Tuffnut shouted with a war cry. Then he rose slightly on his toes before swinging the side of his right fist directly over the man's heart at blinding speed with all his strength.

With a force equivalent to a war hammer he struck the man's chest. The force of his blow stopped the man's heart. With a gasp and bugling eyes the man rocked backwards and crashed to the ground before going motionless.

Tuffnut stared wide eyed at the downed man before raising his fist up to his face. He looked at it in awe. "I did it," Tuffnut said in amazement. "I have master the death punch!"

He turned to look at his sister, whose eyes were wide in terror as she stared at his fist. Tuffnut smiled evilly before taking a step toward her. To his satisfaction she took a step back in fear. Tuffnut chuckled darkly. This was going to be fun.

Siver watched as his men were all being killed off by the Hooligans. He swept his eyes over the room before his gaze fell on her. As if sensing his gaze she looked up at him and locked eyes with him.

She glared at him coldly. Siver became numb to everything else around him as they continued to stare at each other. Then to his horror she took a step forward.

With a frightened cry he finally got his legs working. He turned and ran as fast as he could. Hicca narrowed her eyes and started to run after him before she felt a hand grip her arm. She turned around to look into the eyes of her father.

"Hicca…you don't have to do this," he said.

Hicca smiled at his concern. "We're Haddocks dad. It's time we end this."

Stoick looked at his little girl with pride. "I'm proud to call you my daughter," he said earnestly. Then with a nod he let her hand go. "Go get him."

Hicca nodded. As she turned to run after him another hand gripped her arm. Suddenly she was spun around and pulled into a kiss from Ash. She closed her eyes for a moment to enjoy the kiss before Ash pulled back. She blushed and smiled up at him.

"Take him down babe," Ash said.

Hicca nodded. Ash released her and she dashed off. Whipping out her Kusarigama she flung the sickle end to the top of the balcony. As she had hoped the sickle hooked on the railing of the balcony, allowing her to climb up the chain. Leaving her weapon behind, she focused on her hearing and darted after the pounding footsteps of a retreating Siver.

She wasn't going to let him get away.

Ash and Stoick watched her run off. They smiled after her. They couldn't help but think what an amazing woman she was.

"You didn't tell her you loved her lad," Stoick pointed out.

Ash blinked in surprise. "Oh Thor damn it!" Ash cursed while smacking his forehead. Toothless chuckled beside him as he smacked Scarred Ones away with his tail. Ash faced forward and drew his weapon. He took in the remaining Scarred Ones and his eyes narrowed in determination.

He wanted to finish this as quickly as possible.

Siver ran as fast as he could through the escape tunnel. He prayed that he'd gained a large enough lead to outrun the demon after him. That's what she had to be. She couldn't be human.

After a few moments of running he could see a light up ahead. He breathed in relief as he saw his way out. The tunnel lead to an opening on the mountain side. It would put you directly on a cliff. While normally this would be a dead end he had made a rope bridge for an emergency escape. All he had to do was get to it, get across, and cut the end and she couldn't follow him.

Bursting into the daylight he smiled. He ran to the rope bridge at the end of the cliff side and was about to run across it when a sight froze him in his tracks. Ships. Lots of ships. And not his own.

He could make out the crests of the Hooligans, Loudmouths, Boneheads, and many other tribes from which he had captured families from. He could also make out dragons setting fire to his own ships as they tried to engage the approaching fleet.

It was over. The tribes had come and his men were no matched for their combined forces and their dragons. He'd lost.

He shook his head to clear his thoughts. It wasn't over. He could still get way like last time. He could rebuild. He could return. It might take some time but he did it once and he could do it again. He turned and started for the ripe bridge when four silver flashes flew in front of him and sliced the ropes to the bridge.

"No!" he howled as the bridge fell away. He was trapped now. He couldn't get away. He turned to where the projectile had come from to find Stoick's daughter standing there. He glared at her, his fear replaced by fury.

"It's over Siver," she said firmly. "Your forces are finished. Surrender or die."

Siver glared at the woman. This Haddock. He knew it was over. But he was intent on taking her with him. He drew his hatchet and sword and stared her down. "I'd rather die," he spat at her.

The girl smiled. "I was kind of hoping you'd say that," she said as she drew the sword on her back. As Siver waited for an attack his mind flashed back to his battle with Stoick. It felt like he was facing him all over again as he looked into her eyes. The look she was giving him was just like Stoick's as she held her sword at her side.

Then she charged. She released a war cry as she ran towards him. Siver released a war cry of his own and rushed to meet her.

Metal clanged against metal as Hicca and Siver battled. No of them could get in a killing blow however. Hicca was too fast and agile as she spun, ducked, and weaved out of the way of Siver's attacks while parrying and slashing at him. Siver, having decades worth of fighting experience, was holding his own against her. Hicca could now see why Siver had been a match for her father. She was out of poisons, due to using them to wipe out many of the Scarred Ones she came across in the base. Her only remaining weapons were Ninjato and her kunai. The best she had been able to do so far was cut Siver. But the cuts were too shallow and not life threatening.

Hicca jumped over a low swipe from his axe and then ducked a swing from his sword. She stabbed at him with her Ninjato but he stepped out of reach. His weapons were annoying. They gave him reach that her Ninjato didn't. She needed to get rid of one.

She saw her chance when Siver swung his axe down with his left hand. Hicca spun to the right before plunging her Ninjato into his bicep. He cried out in pain as he dropped his axe. Hicca quickly kicked the handle, causing it to spin away and over the edge of the cliff. Hicca's smile was cut short when Siver managed to grab her with his now free hand.

He lifted her into the air by her Shozoku before slamming her to the ground. Hicca landed on her back and wheezed as the air had been knocked out of her. She knew she would have bad bruising later on. But she didn't have time to dote on it as Siver lifted his foot up to crush her under his heel. Hicca quickly rolled to the side just as he stomped down on where her chest would have been. Drawing her kunai she stabbed him on the inside of both his thighs before leaping to her feet.

Siver grunted in pain from his two bleeding wounds and growled at Hicca. Planting his sword in the ground he pulled out her Ninjato still lodged in his arm. With a hiss he ripped t free and tossed it behind him and over the edge of the cliff. Then he picked up his sword and held it at the ready. Hicca crouched low and gripped the handle of her kunai firmly.

As they stared each other down Hicca began to steady her breathing and clear her mind. As Siver stepped forward ad cocked back his arm to strike the world slowed down and Hicca prepared for his attack.

Going to swing from the right. Spin left and cut him above the eye. Hicca stepped back and spun to the left before lashing out with her knife and slicing Siver just above his right eye. Siver hissed and tried to wipe at the blood flowing from the cut. But a cut like that, while small, couldn't be stopped without proper medical treatment. And in a fight it could be a major hindrance. Tap solar plexus. Hicca charged and flipped the kunai in her hand over. Siver tried to swing at her as she got closer but was blinded by his blood leaking into his eye. He missed and Hicca drove the handle of her kunai into the vulnerable area. Siver gasped and wheezed as the air rushed out of his lungs. Hicca then tried to slash his throat and end the fight but he managed to jerk his head back. Then he swiped at her with his sword. Hicca managed to jump back in time to dodge it but the blade managed to knock her kunai out of her hand and over the cliff's edge.

Hicca cursed at becoming unarmed. Siver, having finally regained his breath, smiled evilly. Hicca dropped into a battle stance and raised her hands. Siver let out a war cry and stepped forward to kill her. He swung wildly with his sword, hoping to cut her down. But with Hicca Dragon claws she was able to defend and dodge. The cut above his eyes also wasn't helping his aim. Still, even if she wasn't being cut the force from his swings was enough to drive her back and rattle her arms.

Hicca dodged a vertical slash when Siver took the hilt of his sword with both hands and swung at her horizontally. Hicca braced herself and planted her feet and raised both her arms to defend. With a loud clang she halted the blade but not without being pushed back dangerously close to the edge. Siver chuckled darkly and pressed harder against her. Hicca gritted her teeth as she tried to stop herself from being pushed off the edge of the cliff.

But she knew that with his superior size and strength she would go over eventually. She had to think of something. Fast.

Siver moved his face closer to hers and sneered at her. "Looks like I've won lass," he said. Hicca glared at him as her arms started to shake from holding back his sword. Every second that passed Hicca was being pushed closer and closer to the edge. She tried her best to push back but to no avail.

"By the way lass, do you know how I got these scars?" he asked in amusement.

Hicca looked into his face and an idea struck her. "Nope," she said curtly. She then took her left hand away from the blade and started reaching for her right dragon claw. She shift her arms slightly so the top of it was facing his face. "But I know how you got these," she said before activating the firing mechanism on her Dragon claw. The spikes along the top the fired at Siver without warning and buried themselves in his face. One even piercing his left eye.

He howled in pain and brought bot hands up to his face. But in doing so he dropped his sword. Catch it, Hicca thought to herself. With her mind and body in overdrive she caught the sword by the hilt before it touched the ground. Use it against him. Hicca released a grunt in exertion as she swung the sword diagonally across Siver's torso. He cried out and reeled back, trying to get away. But Hicca advanced and slashed him again in the other direction. Siver teetered dangerously close to the edge. With a final cry Hicca spun counter clockwise. Siver took his hands away from his face to look at her just in time to see her plunge his sword straight into his gut.

He fell to his knees and gasped in shock. He looked down too see the sword plunged almost all the way up to the hilt in his stomach. He coughed up blood as he felt himself grow weaker and cold. He lifted his head to meet Hicca's gaze.

Hicca glared at him. "You lose Siver," she said before she spun on her heel and kicked the end of the hilt deeper into Siver's chest.

Siver couldn't do anything as she drove his sword deeper into his body. With a gasp of air he rocked backwards and fell over the edge of the cliff.

Hicca smiled in satisfaction. She'd done it. She'd killed him.

"Hicca!" came a shout from behind her. She turned to see her friends and father standing there. They gaped at her in shock and awe at having just witnessed her kill Siver. Hicca put her hands on her hip and smiled proudly. Then she sauntered over to them.

"DIE STOICK!" suddenly came a shout from behind her. Everyone's attention turned to behind Hicca. They couldn't believe it. It was Siver.

Siver had used the last of his strength to claw his way back up the cliffside. Running off willpower and pure hatred he knew he was done for. But he wouldn't go without at least killing one Haddock. In his hands was a crossbow. It had been on his back the entire time. He quickly loaded it before taking aim at Stoick. Even with only one eye his aim was true as he fired. Aiming right for Stoick's heart.

Stoick and everyone else was too surprised to move. The crossbow sailed through the air and was and a path right for Stoick's heart. He knew it was too late to avoid it. Just as it looked like it would find its mark a black blur jumped into its path.

It was Hicca. She hadn't even thought about it. Her body just reacted to save her father and thrown itself in the path of the crossbow bolt. It pierced her chainmail shirt under her Shozoku and buried itself into her left shoulder. She hit the floor due to its force and writhed in pain.

Siver cursed at her for getting in the way of his shot. Ruffnut narrowed her eyes at him and drew a shuriken. With precision aim she threw it and hit Siver in his remaining eye. He cried out in agony and once again fell back ward and over the edge.

Tunffnut and Snotlout ran over to see if he was gone for good while the other crouched down to help Hicca.

"Hicca are you ok?" Ash asked in panic.

Hicca hissed in pain and got her legs under her. "Yeah I'm ok," she said wincing in pain. Tried to reach her other hand over and pull the bolt out but moving hurt too much.

"I'll do it," her father said stepping forward. She nodded and grit her teeth in anticipation. Stoick placed a hand on the shaft of the bolt. "I'm sorry sweetie," he said earnestly. She nodded and held her breath. Stoick then yanked the bolt out. She cried out and cursed. Ruffnut produced a cloth from her pouch and placed it over the wound.

"Are you ok," Ash asked in concern.

Hicca looked up at him and smiled. "Yeah I'm ok. Sucks though. Gonna leave a scar," he said jokingly.

"Well I happen to think scar are sexy," Ash said with a shrug. Hicca smiled at him and chuckled. But her smiled faded when the world began to become blurry. And it wasn't because of blood loss.

"Oh boy," she said aloud. The others looked at her in concern. "Poison," she muttered aloud.

The others' eyes widened in surprise. "Chief, you need to take her back to Gothi's," Ash blurted out.

Stoick shook his head. "It'll be faster if you go. You're lighter than me. Take Toothless," he said.

Ash nodded before scooping Hicca up and mounting Toothless.

"We'll be right behind you. Go!" Stoick ordered while handing him the bolt.

Ash nodded and Toothless shot off. Heading for Berk as fast as he could.

Ash looked down at Hicca. She was staring at her hand and it was trembling. "Not good," she croaked out hoarsely.

He kept pressure on her wound and tried to give her a reassuring smile. "It's gonna be ok babe. Just hang on," he pleaded.

Hicca looked up at him and smiled. "It's alright Ash," she whispered with a small smile.

Ash smiled back and faced forward. "Come on Toothless. Faster," he urged the dragon. Toothless growled and picked up speed.

Hours later they arrived at Berk. The sun had set already when they arrived. Ash landed near Gothi's hut and leapt out of the saddle with Hicca in his arms. He burst through the front door of Gothi's hut, startling the old woman who looked at him in annoyance.

"Sorry elder. But Hicca had been poisoned. She needs treatment right away," he blurted out.

Gothi's eyes widened at his new and she pointed her staff at a cot. He nodded and laid Hicca down on the bed. He handed Gothi the bolt which she took. She took it in hand and wiped, sniffed, and licked the end. With her decades worth of medical knowledge she detected what the poison was and knew what she needed for an antidote.

Before she started to make it she looked over to inspect Hicca. She ushered Ash out of the room as she began to undress her so she could sew up her wound first.

Ash exited the hut and stood outside the door as Gothi got to work. He paced back and forth anxiously. Hoping that Hicca would be ok.

"Ash," came Gobber's voice as he hobbled up to him. He'd heard Toothless' signature call and saw them land at Gothi's. He assumed someone had been hurt and rushed over. Ash relayed all that had happened. Gobber took in the new and said a prayer for Hicca.

After an eternity of waiting Gothi came to the door. Both men looked at her hopefully. But Gothi just cats her gaze down. Their stomach dropped and icy terror filled their veins. Gothi turned and usher them inside. She led them over to Hicca who was now wearing a clean plain white tunic. She went to Hicca's left side and gently lifted her wrist.

Then to the men's' utter horror and disbelief she let it fall. They watched as it limply fell to her side and they understood Gothi's message.

Hicca was dead.
