Kat gave him a sad smile before shaking her head, "No Shane, he doesn't, we've been through this."

Shane rolled his eyes and got up, getting off of the bed entirely. He brought a hand to his messy locks and strode the the mirror to look at his appearance. It was quiet for a few minutes, Shane knew that Kat wasn't going to speak, but he was going to wait until she gave him an appropriate reason for not going back and trying to make her relationship with Nate work. Nathaniel was not a guy to hold grudges, the longest grudge he held was in the fifth grade when his classmate Bridgit (who had a crush on him) stold his blizzard blue crayon and didn't give it back. The grudge was only ten minutes long.

Kat watched Shane before sighing, "Shane, you have it easy. You and Ange weren't dating when Drake showed up."

Shane turned to her and raised an eyebrow, "So? That makes it harder."

Kat scoffed and leaned into the large, comfy pillows, "How?"

Shane stepped away from the mirror and returned to the large bed, "You have stuff to build off of. You can remind Nate of everything you guys did, said, whatever. What am I supposed to do? I basically have to confess to Angelika, who will throw it in my face let me remind you, what I feel," with a look at Kat's straight face he said, "I'm Shane fucking Grey, I don't confess anything, let alone feelings."

Kat sighed and moved closer to him, pulling her red hair into a ponytail, "You just did with me, you told me everything you felt. Just say what you said to me, to Angelika."

"It's not that easy."

"Why isn't it?"

"Because you're not Angelika."

Kat put a hand on Shane's shoulder and placed her chin on top of it, "Love sucks, huh?"

Shane let out a laugh, "Sometimes yeah, if there's a roadie named Drake."

"Or an idiot named Kat," she murmered in reply.

Shane turned to look at her and noticed her eyes tearing over again, "Look Kat, I promise you that Nate wants to be with you."

Kat glanced at his chocolate eyes and sniffled, "How can you promise that."

Shane looked at her for a minute before reaching into his pocket and grabbing his phone. He clicked a few buttons, opening his text messages and handed the phone to Kat, "Why do you think i'm here?"

Shane. Can u go check if Kat's O.K?
Dnt say I said nething, ok?
Thanx bro- make sure she's ok.

Kate stared at it, her eyes were over-coating with tears. How she loved him... she loved that stupid boy who told her countless times that she was good enough. She loved the boy who convinced her that there was such a thing as love. She loved the boy she met at camp last year that wrote a song for her, making her melt, making her die a little bit inside knowing that she couldn't physically be with him every second. She was completely in love with Nathaniel.

Now, it was more difficult. He didn't love her the way that he did before. She had messed up, made him feel un-trusted, hurt his soon-to-be step sister and deprived herself of all his faith in her. He didn't want to admit that he loved her in the same way that he used to... and she didn't want to admit that she deserved it.

She shut her eyes painfully, blocking out the world.

"Hey," Shane said, putting the phone in his pocket and shuffling sideways, "Hey."

He grabbed her shoulders and made her look at him, her eyes opening slightly, just to let tears escape quickly. He watched her fall apart right there and he suddenly didn't care about his issues with Angelika, or his plan to fire Drake, "Look," he said, bringing a hand to her cheek, "Let's go to the venue... we can talk to Nate there."

She shook her head, "I have to let him go Shane, I don't deserve it."

Shane disagreed promptly, "Yeah, you do, come here," he pulled the red-head into him, wrapping his arms around her shoulders. He felt her entire body shaking as she cried, her tears soaking the shoulder of his shirt, "Please, Kat, will you just come back with me?"

There wasn't a reply, but her arms wound themselves around Shane. She didn't want to see Nate, she didn't want to be the one to force him back with her. Nate deserved to be happy and right now, with her, he wasn't happy. In her mind, all he wanted to do was get away and experience something else for a while. Perhaps he needed to date somebody else, just to see if that's what he wanted or needed.

Her mind quickly decided for her and she looked up at Shane, "I can't... just tell him I love him and that i'm okay."

Shane sighed and nodded. He then stood up and went to retrieve his coat, "I have a girl to spill my heart to," he said cheesily, cringing at the sound of it.

Kat grinned and wiped her eyes, "Good luck. I don't think you need it though."

Shane winked and quickly walked out of the hotel room. Kat heard a few screams when he exited the room, the girl obviously came back to see the famous Shane Grey again and brought some friends. The sudden silence of the hotel room made her heart ache, she was alone again, Shane wasn't here anymore. The read was so quiet that she could hear the sound of people talking in the other room.

"Someday's I wish it never started,
then I'd spare you the heartache,
knowing that you're hurt,
makes me feel the worst"

She sighed at the lyrics of the song written for her... oh how the tables have turned.
