Happy tunes of strange people

Hikaru narrowed his eyes as he made them focus intently on the objects in-front of him. . The pace of his heart fastened with every passing second. His hands shook with consentration, and from holding them still for so long.

He blocked everything out. Just the loud rythm of the clock on the wall in the back ground, ticking, digging deep into the soul of his ears, and his brain.. It was nearly impossible to steady his breathing. Letting out a soft long stream of much needed air from his mouth. Turing his face away from the table as he did so, so not to ruin everything he had worked so hard on.

He gasped in air as he realized just then at the edge of the table that he had just one more piece of the life changing puzzle. Once he completes that, the whole world would start moving again. . His heart was wracking havoc on his skull as he neared closer and closer to completion... He was so close now.

"Just one more." He whispered as he let another smell breath, his mouth barely opened as he bit down hard no his tongue. "It's so close."

He took one glance across the table to look over at his wife, who seemed to be highly taken by her work she had sprawled across the top of it in their study. She had taken out her contacts, and replaced them with glasses. Not big weird clown one's. Just small square black girly one's, and with her long hair and much more girly structure.. She looked so cute~!

He almost squealed from absolute cuteness, but now was not the time! he needed to consentrate.

Turning his gaze back to the table, where his life was all most completed.

Hikaru glared and carefully raised his hand up and over the small house of cards he had ben working so hard on. He slowly lowered the last card that was in his hand, placing it on the top.

He had completed it finally.

Holding up his hands defensively. He had a big goofy smile cracked across his face. He had to bite his bottom lip and hold onto the arms of the chair just to keep himself from whoo'ing and jumping around like an idiot. . His knees where trembling with happiness, he looked towards Haruhi but she didn't seem to notice what he had just done.

"Haruhi?" He whispered. Looking over at her as he continued to bite down on his lips. "Hey you."

Haruhi blinked and flipped the page of her book she was looking at and didn't seem like she had heard him.

"Haru? hey, look." He said again. Trying to get her attention, but she still didn't look at him. He tried to be patient but the suspense was killing him. "..."

She sighed and adjusted her glasses, biting her pencil as she read, and re-read everything she had printed on the paper. . She wasn't going to work actually in her office there, but she was doing it from home, and would occasionally go into meet with her boss. With him close by her though. He had never felt comfortable with her going there alone anymore.

He gave a worried look towards the card house he had on the table, he was quite proud of it and had ben working on it for about fifteen minutes, but Haruh was ignoring him. Whether it was unintentionally or not, he didn't like it.

Looking over to the side. His eyes screeched for something he could throw at her that wouldn't do damage to her and would make him have to take her to the hospital.

Stapler?... No.

Printer?... No

Laptop?... He didn't think so.

That stupidly large book that shouldn't exsist?... Naw.

Finally seeing a stack of un-used paper. He began to grab some piece by piece, crumbling at least four pieces together in one great paper ball. Glaring towards his wife.

Then promptly threw it at her head.

"Haruhi!"

Haruhi jumped slightly in surprised as she was hit in the head with something and by her husband suddenly yelling out her name.. She blinked in confusion and looked over towards him. . Seeing him look back at her un amused, and bored. . . And deprived of her attention.

Hikaru's facial expression changed to complete horror as the paper ball he threw, rolled back across the table-top. Rolling closer to him and knocked right into the card house he had ben working so intently on. . He looked down at the pile of what was once his creation, then looked back towards her, then down at his fallen house, then back at her.

Then blinked and slumped back into his chair he was sitting in.

Haruhi sighed and pulled off her glasses she needed to see to read, then looked back towards him and his smug look. "What?"

"Oh nothing," He said innocently. Crossing his arms over his chest.. "You just missed the change to see something vary interesting but you completely blew me off."

"Huh?"

"I was trying to show you something but you kept ignoring me." He said simply in an obviously offended tone. "I feel so, so, so, so, so..." He paused. "Blow off."

"I'm sorry, I just wasn't paying attention." She snorted and rolled her eyes, putting her glasses back on. "Why don't you just do it again?"

"Oh whoa, whoa, whoa... You can't just redo something like that, that was history and you completely ignored it.. I feel so abused, Haruhi, your a husband abuser." He sighed. Shifting his office chair a little for his own enjoyment. He liked office chair's that spun.

"Uh."

"What if i was about to get hit by a car just now, you'd just be like. Oh sorry Hikaru, I just wasn't paying attention."

"..."

"Or what if I were choking on a donut just now, you'd just be like. Oh sorry Hikaru, I just wasn't paying attention."

"Okay, I-"

"Or if I was getting toast out of the toaster with a fork and I get electrocute. Oh sorry Hikaru, I just wasn't paying attention."

"I said I was-..."

"OR, I could have ben playing with matches, Oh well damn Hikaru, I just wasn't paying attention!"

"I would hope you would be smart enough not to choke on a donut, and play with matches... And what would you be doing in the middle of the road?"

"That's besides the point." Hikaru sighed, and leaned over the table a little. Looking over at her still quite perturbed that she wasn't caring about this as much as he would like her to be. Even though he knew himself that caring about him making a card house wasn't all that special.. But like he said, that wasn't the point.

To tell you the truth, he was just really bored.

He hated making card houses anyway.

"Hikaru, don't you have something productive to do? like say... Work?" She asked, brushing her bangs away from her face, rubbing her temple. "What are you doing?" She asked as he began to sweep away all her things she was working on just then and replaced it all with his body as he carelessly threw himself on her desk. Laying on his back.

She sighed and sat backing her chair she was sitting in. Wondering what in the world was she going to do with him. "Don't you have a brother? that's why i have two of you, so you can play together." She teased. Resting her cheek on her hand as her elbow was on the arm of the chair.

"Kaoru doesn't want to play, he's busy going out with a friend." Hikaru sighed dramatically and started playing with a lock of his wife's hair. Remembering a text message he got from his brother a couple of day's ago saying he had found that strange girl he had ben thinking about. Apparently they were hanging out again someplace, cause Kaoru didn't even have time to reply to his message.

Mean wife and a mean brother.

He was all alone now.

Haruhi sighed again and looked at all the work she had that was throw to the side of the table and some had made their way onto the floor.. She gazed one more devoted glance towards them before looking back to her husband, who now looked like he was troubled about something.

She really didn't want to ask, cause once she would, he would start talking again, and she would have to saduce her brain into having another stupid conversation with him, but hey, she learned something when being married to a Hitachiin.

Don't marry a Hitachiin.

"What's the matter now?" She asked. Not sounding like she really cared, and started playing with the tip of a chunk of his hair was that just there.

He looked up at her and admitted his deepest darkest feelings. "I'm... Deprived."

"She rolled her eyes. "Of what? what could you possibly be deprived of this time?"

"Kisses~"

Haruhi narrowed her eyes suspiciously at him and pulled her hand away from his head. "Awe, you poor thing." She smirked teasingly and stood up and go do something productive herself and watched as he got up also.

"You should help me fix it." He sniggered. Standing up straight adjusting himself as he watched her walk around the desk and head for the door. . Until he wrapped his arm around her waist. Pulling her back into his chest. "Mm.. Now that I think about it, that actually sounds like a plan." He purred. Resting his chin on her shoulder.

"Something tells me that you aren't going to let me go anytime soon." She mumbled a sigh. Making him snicker evilly and give small kisses around the side of her face, and were he could reach with them being in the position they were in now.. "Good observation." He smirked. Whispering in her ear.

She gave off a sudden cute little squeal as he turned her around in a whirl. Making her bangs swish to one side of her face. Her brown eyes blinked wide as she looked at him now in the face.. Noticing a weird unusual non-evil smile on his face. Just looking at her lovingly.. She looked at it and cocked her head. "What?"

"Nothing, nothing." He smiled innocently Pulling her arms around his neck himself. Then looped his arms around her waist again. "Just, thinking."

"Really?" She snorted. Blinking, amused slightly at his look. "Funny, you don't do that much, what about?"

"Hmm, about us." He shrugged. Looking down at her bulging stomach. Looking at how it was keeping him from getting closer then he could be to her.. Thinking that they could never be married long enough.

"That's an interesting subject." She admitted in a snigger. Twirling her middle finger in his hair as her arms were wrapped around his neck. "Don't think too much, you'll fry your brain."

Hikaru snorted and chose to ignore her teasing resting his forehead on her, having their noses brush up against each other.. And not being able to be so close and suffering from kiss-deprivation.. His lips finally made their way down to hers as they engulfed themselves in a long, vary passionate kiss. Neither of them wanting to pull away, even for a breath.

Moving away one of his hands from her hips he raised it up to her face. Cupping her cheek while both theirs eyes were closed. Still trapped in their own little happy place together.. Tangling his fingers in her hair that was behind her ear. Moving his other arm that was her waist, up to her back. Pulling her even closer. Having her stomach graze against his, making him smirk.

"What part of us were you thinking abut?" She asked curiously between their lips. Having Hikaru nibble at her bottom on before pulling away to answer her question.

"About how much I'm in love with you." He smiled with his eyes still closed. Then went back to her lips.

"That's pretty cliché of you to say." She admitted. Continuing to tease her husband in his weird way of trying to be romantic.

"Quit trying to ruin the moment." Hikaru snickered. Slamming his lips roughly onto hers again. Showing her he would rather do other things with her mouth then have it talk to him.

"I guess we keep running into each other huh?" Kaoru laughed. Holding out a leash to Suzuki that looked brand new. He guessed that, that was only because her dog broke his last one. "Or rather, we keep bumping into each other." He said as he reached down to ruffle op the dogs ears.

"Yeah, he's a stinker," Suzuki sighed. Rolling her eyes at her dog that had gotten away once again. "It was my fault this time though, I dropped his leash for only a second to do something and he saw a squirrel," She looked up at Kaoru and watched how her dog had seemed to have strangely taken a liking to him. "Your just always their to catch him, strangely, its like you know exactly where he is all the time."

"Well its kind of hard to miss a huge snow bear like dog running around all over the place," He smirked standing up straight again, looking into her cute freckled face as he spoke. "And cute girl like your self running after it all the time." He smirked, feeling vary much like his flirtatious brother.

"You always try and flirt with random girls you've only met twice?" She snickered grapping, and wrapping the leash around her hand a few times giving her more grip on it.

"Only the cute ones." He replied. Thinking that it would be best for him to stop talking before he made things awkward between them.

She blinked at his attempt of being a player and looked down at her dog. Waiting a few moments to talk again so it wouldn't seem like she wanted to change the subject out of the blue. "Not that its any of my business, but what were you doing out this time? its a little strange how we keep meeting at the same place." She said, looking up over their heads looking at the ice cream parlor sign.

The same place they had met the last three times they had seen each other.

Ah great, now she thinks I'm a stalker.

"Yeah, weird." He snickered nervously. Its not like he went and followed her on purpose. This time he was just taking an innocent walk to the drug store the was down the road from his apartment. Until he was Sparta running, so he decided to follow him until they got to the ice cream parlor, were he caught him before he had gotten himself inside. . "He really likes this place for some reason, even though he isn't suppose to be in there." He teased.

Kaoru glanced to the side. Watching a little boy get ready to run over to them, until a woman who looked like his mother came up behind him and grabbed him before he could get close to her.

It was either her or he was trying to get to the child-friendly ice cream parlor. A woman pulled him back and snapped that they'd go in later. . Then turned the boy around and led him the other direction. After giving the back of Suzuki's head a rather, disgusted look.

"I guess." She huffed with a little bit of an attitude. Looking gravely towards the glass door of the parlor. "I don't know why he-..."

"Suzuki!"

Suzuki's sentence was cut off as a man came bustling through the door of the parlor. His brown hair brushing over his face carelessly as he swung open the door. Looking towards the poor innocent girl like she had done something seriously wrong. Making Kaoru seriously wonder what the hell was everyone's problem that day.

The man was sporting a light jacket, with its sleeves pulled up to his elbows. The bangs of his bleached brown hair were pulled to the side in a few manly hair pins. "Suzuki, weren't you told not to bring that dog around here? your scaring everybody with that thing, I thought you were banned from coming here anyway?" He raised his upper lip in disgust at the dog as he looked down at him.

"As I recall, I was banned from going inside, not walking freely on the side walk." She sighed in a smart mouth tone. Putting a hand on her hip. Petting Sparta as he began to growl at the man. "Besides, puppy wont hurt anybody, he's around kids all the time."

Kaoru looked between the two of them, smirking at Suzuki's personality. Awe, how cute, she's a smartass~! He watched and listened to them argue about meaningless things, and couldn't help but think that Sparta wasn't the reason everyone didn't want to see them around anywhere. The look he kept giving Suzuki only backed him up on his guess even more.

"It doesn't matter, keep him and yourself away from any eye distance near here, I don't want you getting busted by the manager again like last time." He sighed. His face lighting up to a little hint of concern, though still looked pretty irritated. . He looked down at the dog and was about to rub his head. Until Sparta snapped at him and had his hand inches away from his mouth. Making the man back up a bit.

"This is exactly what I'm talking about, this is a family parlor, no ones going to want to come in anymore if they get bit by him." He said truthfully. Folding his arms over his chest. "It would be wise to not even come to this part of town anymore." He looked over Suzuki's shoulder, looking at a jewelry store building that he remembered her also getting banded from being around. "That dog causes a bunch of trouble for you."

"I think he's just fine." She replied stubbornly. Grabbing his leash tighter in her small hand, pulling her dog away from the man who was still standing in the door way of the parlor. "Come on Sparta," she said in a mockingly, smart-mouth tune, as the dog was still growling angrily at him. "Lets go."

Kaoru sighed as he stuck his hands in his pockets looking at Suzuki as she began to make her way down the side walk.

"Sorry about that sir, she just doesn't know when to leaven well enough alone." The man apologized. Looking over at Kaoru with his eyebrow raised suspiciously. "Were you with her?" He asked. Looking towards Kaoru as if were to say yes, that he would start laughing.

"Not intentionally, we just sort of bumped into each other." Kaoru replied politely. Keeping his mental thoughts to himself, unlike what his brother would do if someone pissed him off, Hikaru would have cursed at them violently. "Why?"

"I don't recommend hanging around her for to long." He admitted in annoying disgust. grabbing the handle of the door to the parlor as he stepped inside. Giving one last looked towards Suzuki and Sparta as they walked freely. Before he turned back to the orange haired fashion designer. "She wracks havoc where ever she go's."

Kaoru sneered a scorn look towards him and looked back towards the way Suzuki was walking Watching her kneel down to talk to a little girl who had ran up to her and gave her a hand full of wild flowers that seemed to be in her hands a while.

Kaoru looked back at the man, giving him a look as if he was the disgusting one. "Don't be a jerk." He scoffed backhandedly in response to his vary jerk'ish attitude.

The man blinked confused. Not knowing why he hadn't just gained his side but brushed it off and stepped inside, watching the man with odd orange hair walk off towards the direction where the girl had went.

Fine, it wasn't him problem.

Kaoru sighed, and for the first time in a long time he cursed something under his breath. similar to the way Hikaru always did it. Then began to make his way to where Suzuki was sitting/kneeling down talking to the little girl with cute red pig tails, and to his surprise, her mother was actually talking to Suzuki too, instead of just glaring at her and talking smack behind her back.

"Did you bring that humming thing like you did last time~?" The little girl exclaimed happily. Jumping on the balls of her feet excitedly Her little blue eyes wide and twitchy as she played with the dog, laughing when he licked her face. . Making Kaoru wonder why everyone was against him being in placed.

Granted it was probably because of how big he was but still.

"I don't know," Suzuki said curiously. Putting a hand in her back pocket pulling out a small rectangular black case, closed with a small zipper. "Oh look here it is, I guess I forgot I had it." She smiled, holding tit out to the girl. Making her squeal in excitement.

Kaoru raised his eyebrow and walked closer to them. It weren't like they were friends, he hardly even knew her, and she hardly even knew him.. Yet, he had a strange connection with her somehow. Like she was a fridgerater and he was like some sort of magnet.

He just kept finding himself following her.

"Can you play it please~?" The little girl asked politely. Though Kaoru could tell that she couldn't care less about being polite, and wouldn't have if her mother hadn't ben looking just then.

Kaour then got too curiously and leaned against the brick wall near them as he watched Suzuki pull something silver out from the case and put it to her mouth. Making a slight sound that in deed sounded like a hum.

Then, after getting a better look at it, Kaoru realized that what she was holding was one of those mouth instrument's... Uh, what was it called... Ugh, dammit... Can't think.

Kaoru bit his lip in contentment as Suzuki started to play an upbeat tune on the small instrument. Entertaining him highly as he watched. . Even the dog jut sat there happily. Letting the little girl hug her as she listened. . He smiled and folded his arms over his chest again. Letting the cool breeze of April blow lowly, making his bangs flutter a bit.

Now I know what it is, its a harmonica!

Suzuki play's the harmonica?

That's so cute~!

Everything about her is just so gosh darn freaking cute~!

"What're you doing?" Haruhi mumbled. Standing near the counter, her belly rubbing up against the edge of it. Feeling her husbands arms wrap around her waist as she tried to cook. "Hikaru I can't move with you holding me."

Hikaru snickered evilly and snuggled up closer to her.

"Deal with it."

Haruhi rolled her eyes and shook her head as she tried to make things around Hikaru's hands, thought while it wasn't impossible, it was rather annoying, even if his intentions were innocent. . She sighed and gave into defeat as he started rubbing her stomach with his fingers. "Hikaru please I-"

"Naw, your comfy, I'm not movin." He said simply as response to her whine. Snuggling his head on her as she threw flour into a huge mixing bowl. She hadn't told him what she was making, then again though, he hadn't asked yet either. . He breathed in the faint, almost unnoticeable smell of her strawberry shampoo.

They were relaxing that day. Absolutely nothing was on their minds to put it simple.. He liked it that way. Its ben a while since they actually had time to themselves. Without having to worry about stupid things like court hearings, and rape, single lonely brothers all depressed. . That court hearing was in two weeks. They definitely weren't looking forward to that.

He blinked curiously as he watched her pour two cups of sugar into the bowl next, then a spoon of salt.. And baking soda, or baking powder... Which ever that was, he didn't really know.. He narrowed his eyes as she then put brown sugar in it.

Why put that white sugar in, if you were only going to put that brown sugar in afterwards?

Woman are strange.

"Haru~?"

"Mm?"

"What are you makin?"

"Something that'll shut you up."

Hikaru blinked and looked around her shoulder, looking at her face. "Interesting, but to be honest, I'd rather have you shut me up instead of food." He smirked. Laying light kisses on her cheek.

"I've shut you up with myself enough today." She gave a light giggle. Wincing her neck to the side in attempt to make him stop what ever he was doing on her neck. "Ah! Don't lick me!" She squealed. Hunching over a little as she felt something weird on her face.

"I wasn't licking you." He insisted truthfully.. Well, to him he was truthful, though the rest of the world may say other wise.

Hikaru snickered wickedly at her heavy dramatic sign, and fidgeted his body to spoon himself perfectly around her tiny frame. . Watching her move her hands not knowing what else to do but didn't want to let go and do his own thing.

Twisting his picky finger in her hair, he nuzzled the side of his face lovingly against hers.. He liked being obnoxious and annoying on purpose to his wife just to piss her off, but he also liked the times when it was just peaceful between them, where he was calm and Haruhi was carefree.. He honestly just wanted to stay like the way they were, forever. . He liked having nothing bother them while they just wanted to spend time with each other as a married couple.

Cause their was only four more months left of it being just them.

Then there'd be five of them.

And Haruhi would be taken away from him every morning by a army of his.

"..."

She was still fat.

Haruhi sighed. Reaching over to the other side of the counter while his arms still around her waist. She rolled her eyes as she felt his grip on her tighten as he thought she was trying to get away, she wasn't if that's what he was wondering. She tried and failed so she gave up on trying to fight him. "Okay Hikaru you can let go now."

"That sounds like an option to me, but I'm gunna have to pass," He smirked. Letting go of her with just one hand, and moved it up to the side of her face that was furthest from him. cupping her cheek as he started kissing her other cheek. Completely imprisoning her in his grasp, and had no intention of letting her go. "Cause that sort of thing dose not interest me in the slightest."

"I didn't think it would." She snorted. Grabbing the box of eggs, and went to crack one over the edge on the bowl until he grabbed her hands helping her crack it. "Hikaru I can do it myself."

"Yes I know, I'm so proud~"

"Then why did you-?"

Ring-ring-ring

Haruhi blinked as she was interrupted by the up-beat tune of Hikaru's cell phone ringing happily somewhere on him. She felt his grasp around her stomach loosen, and heard a loud dramatic sigh from her husband as he went to retrieve his mobile.

Didn't he say he hated it with a burning passion ? he was serious about It when he said it.

Hikaru narrowed his eyes in displeasure and didn't like it when Haruhi had wiggled her way out of his arms, and got to the other side of the kitchen without his permission, but because of his stupid god darn phone He had no choice but to let her go, and to see who it was that was calling him.

He looked down at the laminated screen of his phone, seeing the caller ID was in-deed, his assistant from work, which didn't make his want to answer it anymore then he already didn't want to.

"Daaammmnnnit." He whined. Flipping it open. Putting a hand on the speaker phone so who ever wasn't on the other line wouldn't hear him yell out to Haruhi. "I have to take this." He said to her. Though once he looked up, he noticed that she wasn't there and that he was talking to himself.

Darn it wife, get back here before I disown you.

"Yeah, what is it?" He answered irritably. Placing the phone to his ear un-amused. Taking a deep breath to show, who ever was on the line, that he was not at all pleased that they had called him. Especially from someone from his company.

"Yes sir, we need to discuss something."

"And? what about?"

"I don't think you'll like it."

Haruhi sighed in relief as she had finally gotten away from her husbands tight grip around her bulging stomach. It wasn't like she didn't like cuddling, she just didn't see the point of cuddling in the kitchen when it was obvious that she was trying to do something.

It didn't make sense to her.

But talk about saved by the bell, sheesh.

Walkgin into the pantry, she heard Hikaru cursing lightly from in the kitchen. She rolled her eyes at how childish he could be. Granted he did hate his cell phone, she was told almost every morning when it go's off, that he hated it with some sort of hated passion.

She sighed again and went to grab a jar of baking cocoa but had to stand on her tiptoes sense it was in the back of the middle shelf, and she couldn't reach it. Which only made her guess that it was courtesy of her husband. . . That damn man was just so gosh darn freaking tall he thinks its necessary to put one of the most used things in the back of the shelf where his pregnant wife can't reach.

Jerk.

After having to use the stupid step stood in the corner of the large pantry, she had managed to get her hands on her main target, and carefully stepped down. Not the least bit curious as to who her husband was talking to. Then happily trotted back to her kitchen. Looking over towards Hikaru, who didn't seem as content looking as he did five minutes ago.

She blinked at him then shrugged off the look and went to the counter where she had another large bowl just randomly sitting there. . Then went to that and started measuring the amount of cocoa to put into it.

"Honey?" Hikaru asked quietly, just to make sure she was listening to what he was saying

"Yeess?" She replied. Now finally curious as to why he had become so serious all of a sudden. Though she didn't turn around to look at his face sense she was a little busy getting the perfect amount of milk into the measuring cup. "What's the matter?"

"Uh..." He paused. Putting away his cell phone, and setting aside his anger he had for it to talk to his wife who he knew wouldn't be vary happy with what he was going to say, and hoped she wouldn't rid him of his eyes. "That was my company calling."

"Really?" She said in fake interest. Opening a drawer to retrieve another spoon to stir the wet mixtures. "And what did they want?"

Hikaru bit his bottom lip in hesitation. Not even wanting to mention what his assistant told him to her, but it would probably be a good idea that he do. . He was also upset about their cuddle session being ruined by it, so who ever's idea was it for this. He hoped they were vary happy.

"Well, I have to leave for Greece... The day after tomorrow."
