Question, what metal would the Transformers be made of? Apart from Transformium.
Optimus transformed as the team gathered what was left of any fallen decepticon, placing the pieces in his trailer. Turning to what was left of Starscream, Skywarp onlined as they approached. Taking a look at what was left of the fallen trine mate, he scurried to Thundercracker and teleported the two of them away.
They were almost halfway back to base, the sky had the first light showing on the horizon, when Jolt suddenly stopped and transformed, immediately pulling the relic out of his subspace. The rest of the team stopped thinking something was wrong.
:What's wrong?: Optimus asked over the comm.
:The relic." Jolt answered. :It's making a strange sound.:
Optimus dropped the trailer and transformed, he took the relic from Jolt and began to examine it turning it over and over in his servos. Fitting almost perfectly in the palm of his servo, his optics land on the faded glyphs which begin to glow a soft blue. The rest of the team transformed and looked at the relic curiously.
"It can't be..." Optimus whispered.
He pressed one glowing glyph and a small bolt of electricity flew out and hit a pile of rocks by the side of the road. They glowed momentarily and as the light faded they could see the rocks had changed. No longer rocks but energon crystals.
"Is this really?" Tracks bent down and picked one up, examining the crystals.
"Energon crystals, yes," Optimus smiled. "But wait, there's more. Jolt, do you have an empty cube?"
He scooped up a few crystals as Jolt handed him what he asked, he then pressed another glyph on the relic and a funnel appeared. He put the relic on the ground and the empty cube beside it, dropping the crystals in the funnel. With some slight crunching and buzzing sounds a nozzle appeared on the side and Optimus held the cube to it, watching as a bright liquid spilled out and filled the cube.
"It almost looks like high grade," Sideswipe gasped.
"Better actually." Optimus grinned. He picked up the now full cube and raised it for all the team to see. "This relic has the power to create energon, from this pure grade, to medical grade."
"Ratchet will go crazy when he find out about this," Jolt said excitedly. "It will greatly help our dwindling stocks, we won't have to rely on the humans and their fossil fuel alternative."
"Was there anything else besides this in the area?" Optimus asked.
"That was all we found," Tracks said. "Were you hoping to find something else with it?"
"This device," Optimus pressed yet another glyph and the device shut down. "Usually has another with it. I came across records of them many years ago. The other device that works alongside this has the power to create the metals our world is made from. It can restore the old and create new. With both, although it would be a slow process, we could rebuild Cybertron."
There was a silence over the team as Optimus scooped up the remain energon crystals. They could rebuild Cybertron?
:Jazz.: Optimus said over the comm.
:Yes boss bot?: Jazz replied.
:Do you remember the strange energy reading we had a few months back, where the location was?:
:I can find out.: Jazz replied. :I'll get Bee ta watch Kylie momentarily.:
:I'll be waiting.:
"We will be taking a detour back to base," Optimus said to his team, he caught the annoyed look pass between the twins. "I have one other theory on how this device might help us without having to consume any more of Earth's resources than we have to."
He placed the device in his subspace and transformed, hooked up his trailer and led the team away from the base. He turned down a dirt road and towards an outcrop of trees. Getting another cube from Jolt and a tube of metal, he pulled the device out once more. Pointing it towards a tree he hit a glyph and the bolt of electricity hit it. Waiting for a few minutes he jabbed the metal tube into the base of the tree and placed the cube under it.
"What is it doing?" Sunstreaker asked.
"Tree's gather energy through sunlight," Optimus explained. "Now instead of it using the energy it would usually require for growth, it will convert it into energon. It won't effect the tree as it only temporary, any energon will be drawn to the tube and fill the cube."
"How long will it take?" Sideswipe asked with a slight whinge.
"A few hours," Optimus said as he sat beside the tree and watched the tube. "Get some recharge while we wait."
:Jazz ta Prime.: Jazz came over the comm.
:Go ahead Jazz.: Optimus replied.
:I found tha info ya needed.: Jazz said. :There was a similar energy reading a few months back but tha 'cons beat us ta gettin' it.:
:So now we know where the other part is,: Optimus sounded thoughtful. :Thank you Jazz.:
:Anytime Prime. When will ya be back?: Jazz asked.
:Sometime this afternoon,: Optimus replied.
:No problem, see ya then.: Jazz closed the comm.
