Chapter 26 - The transport rings

When Antinous' Prima appeared, Sam was in Tony's arms and Jacob was pacing.

"Tok'ra, is the Tauri female decided to talk?"

"I don't think so ! She's bleeding to death !"

"The symbiote will fix it!"

"What symbiote ? It died saving her life, many years ago !"

The Jaffa opened the door to approach the unconscious captive. He paid no attention to Selmak, who jumped on him and cut his throat with Sam's knife. He put his hand over his mouth to prevent him from screaming, and then he broke his neck. The Tok'ra had used all his strength to kill their enemy. He was breathless but he had managed to offer them a way out. He charged Sam on his shoulders and opened the way for Tony, giving him the knife. They passed a room where were their weapons. Jacob took a zat and advised his son to take one.

"The "Carter Special" is missing, it must be at the hotel" Jacob sighed.

"The "Carter Special" ?"

"Yes, Sam's P90, her military weapon, improved with the Colonel's help !"

They walked carefully through the bunker and finally found an exit. Jacob didn't know where it would lead but he wanted to get his children away.
Tony had spotted a sand dune away and there led Jacob. He took out his phone, recovered earlier and activated the distress signal. A few minutes later, a noise was heard near them.

"What's that?" Tony asked.

"The transport rings. It's the same principle as the Stargate, but it is used to transport people or objects from a planet to a ship or ship to ship."

"O... kay" Tony said.

Jacob knew he was trapped and he tried to protect Sam's body. However, Jack and Teal'c came out of the rings.

"Jacob !" Jack yelled.

Seeing the lifeless form near Jacob, Jack ran, followed by Teal'c.

"What's wrong ?" Jack asked, stroking the young woman's head.

"They hit her and she thinks she bleeding on the inside."

Jack took care of Sam and made their way back to the rings. The small group, protected by Teal'c, slipped into the center of the device and they were transported in a ship in seconds.

"Wow" said Tony, a little nauseous.

Teal'c grabbed him by the arm as he swayed. Jack placed Sam to the rear of the Alkesh and gave Jacob the healing device. The NCIS team saw Jacob Carter's eyes shine just before he put his hands over his daughter. He had a round object in the palm of his hand and a yellow light came out. Jack and Teal'c seemed jaded, unlike Gibbs, McGee, Ziva and Tony.

"This is awesome, isn't it?" Daniel asked.

"Doctor Jackson, what are you doing here?" Tony asked, surprised.

"Jack picked me up at the hospital, he was afraid for my safety."

"How does it work?" Tony asked, pointing the finger at his father.

"The Naquadah in his blood enables this device, which is used to heal. However, I don't know if it will be effective for Sam's injuries."

"So, he's the only one able to use it ?"

"No, Sam also gets the ability, but not at the same level. In addition, it cannot be used by itself and it drains the energy from the body. It will weaken Jacob, but he's not going to let her down. "

Daniel shook Tony's shoulder, worried about his sister. However,he must admit that Jacob had done everything to get them out of there, he had discovered a new facet of his father.

"Colonel, why didn't you take a ship with a sarcophagus ?" Selmak asked, stopping his treatment.

"Because... Hey, wait !" Jack said, grabbing Sam. "Thor!"

Jack and Sam were transported in a beam of white light and disappeared in front of their friends.

"Jack meant that the ship was taken from Antinous' Jaffas by Thor. And now, he probably took Sam into an Asgard box."

"I hope so" said Jacob.

He ran a hand over his head and let himself fall to the ground. Against all odds, Tony crouched before him. He put a hand on his shoulder and spoke softly. Nobody understood but everybody knew what they were saying. Peace seemed to be placed between the two men. Shortly after, Tony joined Ziva. He had noticed that his colleague was injured, he was concerned for her. She smiled and reassured him about her condition.
