A/N: I'm so very sorry that it took so long for me to update again. What can I say? My life has become impossibly complicated a little while ago … Let's just say that life hasn't been easy and I ended up not being able to write a single line in any of my stories (although writing usually relaxes me). I wanted to update really badly, but just couldn't. I'm so very sorry you had to wait and I do hope you'll like this chapter. Logan is slowly making progress in this chapter (just like me I hope). Thanks once again for all your support !

CHAPTER 26

Finally, Logan was recovered well enough to actually go back home. Dr. Cameron strictly ordered him not to work: not at the hospital as an intern or at the studio as a singer of a band. Gustavo had made sure the press knew nothing about what had happened to him and also that none of them would be present as Logan would be released from the hospital. He was still too withdrawn and suffered from a fragile mental state.

As soon as he arrived at the Palm Woods, he nearly ran to his shared bedroom with Kendall. As the weeks progressed this became his hiding spot. Never ever did he want to leave apartment 2J. He refused to go down to the pool. You could either find him up in his room or on the orange couch with his nose buried in his advanced study books. Every now and then, his friends were able to distract him for a while with a nice video game and Camille got him to watch a nice movie with her every now and then.

Everyone had to agree that Logan was far from fine. He didn't laugh as much as he used to, he still acted withdrawn and shy at times and there was the fact that nobody could get him to leave the apartment. Most of the time, he never even wanted to change out of his pajamas. Mrs. Knight was really worried about him! She ended up babying him all the time by making him his favorite breakfast and dinner.

Logan never ever wanted to change around his roommate as it made him feel totally uncomfortable. Kendall respected his friend's wishes and always left the room whenever Logan wanted to get changed. But he also heard his friend cry in the shower whenever he had to face his reflection in the mirror. It always broke Kendall's heart. Today was another one of these days. Kendall had left the room in order for Logan to take a shower and get ready, but it didn't take long before some heart breaking sobs could be heard. Kendall couldn't take it any longer. He hated to see and hear his best friend suffer like he did. So without so much as thinking, he walked back into their shared bedroom and entered the bathroom to find his now full out crying friend sitting on the bathroom floor with his knees drawn to his chest.

"Oh, Logie," he said pulling Logan in for a hug. "It's alright! No need to be ashamed! Just let it all out. It's okay!"

Logan let his best friend comfort him this time and his tears soaked Kendall's clean shirt but he didn't mind at all.

"I hate seeing you like this," Kendall said softly while rubbing the back of his upset best friend.

"It hurts so much," Logan sobbed some more. "I hate … myself. I can't … can't even … look at myself in … the mirror. I .. f-feel s-sick."

"Don't say that, buddy," Kendall answered him. "You are a great guy. You are kind, caring, incredibly smart and good-looking as well."

Logan looked up with a tear stained face.

"I mean every word I say, Logie," Kendall said softly. "Now all we need to do is convince you and make you love yourself again. You totally need to regain your self-confidence."

"I feel so awful," Logan confessed still crying softly. "I never ever seem to get rid of the dirty and used feeling and it's as if everyone can tell by just looking at me."

"You know that's not true," Kendall gently answered him.

"What if I never ever feel good again Kendall? How am I supposed to show my girlfriend that I love her to death?" He said sniffling.

"You'll feel good again, believe me Logan. You just need to allow your body and mind to heal. It's going to take a while. You've heard what the therapist told you. You'll just have to trust us on this, buddy. And by the way, Camille already knows how much you love her," Kendall said trying to reassure his friend. "You don't need to do this alone, you know. If you let us in, we'll try everything we can to help you feel better. Just let us in again, Logie! Please, trust us and let us in again."

"I want that. I want that so bad," Logan cried.

Kendall pulled him in for another hug and gently rocked his friend. They sat there for a while, until Logan calmed down.

"Are you okay again?" Kendall asked him.

Logan nodded his head and wiped away the remainders of his tears.

"Yeah. Thanks. I feel much better now," he said.

"Did you actually take a shower already?" Kendall softly asked his friend.

"No … not really," Logan admitted shyly.

"Want to take one?" Kendall asked him.

He nodded his head once more. Kendall prepared his shower, while Logan waited patiently. Kendall left the bathroom again after he made sure his friend would be okay. Logan promised that he would be fine and Kendall smiled at him. He was relieved that they at least made some sort of progress.

When Logan was done, he walked into the living room to find his friends sitting on the orange couch talking.

"Hey, Logie," Carlos said happily when he noticed Logan. "Are you okay?"

"Yeah, I feel fine," Logan answered managing to smile. "Can … I … uh … join you guys?"

"Sure, you can, bud," James answered him motioning for Logan to take a seat on the couch.

"Wanna play a friendly game of Battle Blast with us?" Kendall asked his friend.

"Sure," Logan said.

The guys ended up spending quite some time playing the video game. Although Mama Knight usually encouraged them to go outdoors, she said nothing this time. She just watched from the kitchen how Logan finally seemed to be relaxed again. Katie was watching the guys too.

"He is going to be alright again, isn't he mom?" She asked her mother looking worried.

"Yes. He'll be okay again, sweetie," she whispered quietly to her daughter. "With all of our help and support, he'll get through this."

"Thank God," Katie whispered back. "I hate to see him this miserable."

"I know, sweetie," Mrs. Knight agreed. "We all do!"

They watched the boys as they were playing, laughing and pranking one another again just like old times. And they smiled themselves whenever a small smile appeared on Logan's pale features. Logan ended up spending the rest of the day with is best friends by his side. When Camille entered the apartment late in the afternoon, she also noticed that her boyfriend was happily goofing off with his best friends Tears welled up in her dark brown eyes.

"Are you alright, sweetheart?" Mrs. Knight asked her as she hugged Camille.

"Yeah. Yeah, I am," she said smiling happily. "I'm just so glad to see Logan acting 'normal' again."

"We are all happy about that," Mrs. Knight said. "And I understand how hard this is for you. I know you want to make him happy again."

"I do," Camille softly admitted. "But I'm not sure how?"

"You're doing exactly what you need to do, sweetie," Mrs. Knight said. "You're here for him and you love him with all your heart. That's all he needs right now!"

Logan now noticed that his girlfriend had entered.

"Hey, Cami," he said happily while walking over to her. "I didn't know you were here already."

"I just walked in," she said smiling.

Logan pulled her in for a hug and softly pressed a loving kiss on her cheek. Something he hadn't done in quite some time.

"You look absolutely beautiful, babe," he said.

"So do you," Camille said while softly caressing his cheek. "I'm so happy to see you smile again. You have the most adorable smile ever!"

"Hey don't overdo it," James said playfully mocking her. "Someone might get jealous."

"Knock it off," she teased him right back. "I for one know that Lucy absolutely loves your smile, but I'll choose Logan's smile over anybody's anytime because I'm totally in love with him."

It was quiet for a while in 2J. Everyone looked at Logan to see how he would react to this. Logan smiled again showing off his adorable dimples and for the very first time in an awful long time the smile reached his eyes again. He carefully pulled Camille in his arms and looked into her dark brown eyes. Camille held her breathe.

"Oh, Cami. I'm so in love with you," he softly said. "I have loved you since you slapped me for the first time, although that actually really hurt. You are fun to be with and my God you're gorgeous. Thanks for wanting to be my girlfriend, when you can have anyone you want. I know I've been a lousy boyfriend lately and you have been so kind and patient with me through this whole ordeal. Baby, I don't know how to thank you for what you've done for me. It has made me love you even more."

Tears were welling up in his dark eyes again.

"Don't cry, baby," she said while wiping his tears away. "You don't have to thank me. I love taking care of you! You are so sweet and adorable and so hot."

Logan blushed.

"I love you, Logan," she confessed. "I love you with all my heart and I'll do everything I possibly can to help you deal with all of this."

Logan didn't answer her, but instead pulled her in his strong arms and kissed her tenderly for the first time in a very long time. Right at that moment, the young couple realized that he was slowly making progress.
