**I do own Katelynn Odden and Chronos G. Reaper, however
Jamie and Rapunzel were sitting awkwardly next to each other in the cold, dead room that Chronos had abandoned them in. They waited for Hiccup and Katelynn to wake up. Toothless was feeling better now and was pacing around the large room, sniffing the blood red drapes before returning to Hiccup's side. Jamie assumed that it was some sort of guest room, it had two king sized beds and red velvet and gold couches that were longer than Toothless. Jamie looked down at Rapunzel's feet. "Don't they get cold?"
Rapunzel's eyes came up from the ground and looked at Jamie questionably. "Huh?"
"Your feet. Don't they get cold?"
Rapunzel shook her head. "Nope, not really."
Silence again. It got more awkward by the second. Jamie tried to make small talk again, "So…how well do you know Hiccup?"
"Not very well, actually." Rapunzel admitted. "We haven't had enough time to get to know each other. But I can tell you that he's really nice…my mother always told me that guys had pointy teeth and are monsters. And everyone I've met is the complete opposite to her description."
Jamie stared at her. "Okaaay….that's…th-that's…wow. I can't comment on that."
"You're friend looks like him."
That comment came out of nowhere, it surprised Jamie. "Who? Katelynn?"
Rapunzel nodded. "Hm-mh. If I didn't know any better, I'd think they were twins." She made a small chuckle. "Except Katelynn is taller than him…and not as much as a twig as Hiccup is."
Jamie laughed at the last part. "Yeah…Hiccup is a twig, isn't he?"
"What about you? Do you know him very—"
"No, all I know is that he's one of the Four, has a dragon, and he has the same last name as Katelynn."
Rapunzel blinked. "B-but I thought her last name was…"
"Birna Katelynn Odden-Haddock," said Jamie. "That's her full name. She goes by Katelynn Odden because it's shorter and easier for people to remember."
"Does that make them related?" Rapunzel asked.
Jamie shrugged and returned his stare to the black and white checkered floor. "I don't know…but it would explain why they look a lot alike."
"Speaking of that, are you and Jack related?"
Jamie's eyes shot up from the question. He stared at Rapunzel. "Wh-what?"
"I mean, you resemble him a little bit…not a lot but enough to see it."
Jamie blinked and was about to ask her what she meant but a low moan at the end of the room interrupted him. He and Rapunzel rose to their feet to see what it was.
Rapunzel's mouth formed into a grin. "Hiccup!"
Hiccup was shifting on the bed he was laid on and sat up slowly, his head clutched on his temple. "Gods…my head hurts…" He looked up and slightly jerked backwards when he noticed that Toothless was centimeters away from his face. Toothless slid his tongue over Hiccup's face, making Hiccup groan in disgust and wipe his face with his sleeve. "Hello to you too, bud…" He smiled as Rapunzel and Jamie made their way to him, "Hey, guys."
"How are you feeling?" Rapunzel asked.
Hiccup shrugged. "Eh…okay I guess, my head hurts but that's about—" He then noticed that something was off with his left leg. He shifted it under the covers and noticed that unlike his right, there wasn't a bump where his foot would be. Hiccup lifted the covers and his eyes bugged out of his head. He gulped. "U-um…my…my foot's gone."
Rapunzel nodded sadly. "I'm sorry, Hiccup…"
"Not like it's your fault." Hiccup told her. He pulled the covers back and sat on the edge of the bed and stared at the white nub that replaced his foot. "Who's handy work is this?"
Jamie raised his hand. "Mine. I kinda stole a chunk of the sheets to get it…sorry I could find anything to replace it here. I know at Katelynn made a metal and wood contraption in work shop that'd work as a replacement."
"Where is she, anyway?" Hiccup asked. "Is she okay?"
Jamie looked at the floor and shook his head no. He pointed at the bed next to them.
Hiccup followed Jamie's point and immediately looked away. In the shape she was in, Hiccup was lucky to only just lose his foot. "Gods…is she still alive?"
"Yes…but I wasn't able to heal her completely…" Rapunzel said miserably. "I don't understand why it didn't work."
"What's wrong with her?"
Jamie sighed and answered, "Broken wrist, dislocated shoulder, there's something wrong with her left knee; it's not broken but its bent weird, it's probably dislocated or something. I think her ankle's broken, too. And I bet a lot of bruised bones."
Hiccup flinched at the description. "Ouch…what did she do? Land in a tree?"
"Yes."
"Oh."
Rapunzel looked at the corner of her eye when she saw something move. Her eyes went to Katelynn and her eyes widened when her hand twitched. Rapunzel shook Jamie's arm to get his attention, "She's waking up!"
Jamie's eyes lit up and watched his best friend's eyes open slowly. He went to her bed and went to help her up. Katelynn hissed in pain when Jamie barely touched her arm. "Ow…no touchy…" she mumbled. She tried to get up herself but that wasn't at all successful. "Okay, never mind. Help me up. I can't move."
"You sure?"
"Yes, now help me up please. I can barely breathe here…" With Rapunzel's help, she and Jamie helped Katelynn sit up. No matter how many times Katelynn hissed in pain. When she final got into a seating position, Katelynn glanced over to Hiccup and asked, "What happened to you?"
"I lost my foot."
"Oh…that sounds painful." Katelynn's eyes shot up when she heard a dull thud. There was nothing at the elevator.
"Jack, Merida!" Hiccup said happily.
'Who?' Katelynn squinted at the open elevator at the end of the room again. Her eyes widened when she could barely make an outline of a what seemed to be a guy that had a weird looking staff.
