Authors note: Well then, I am quite surprised with myself to be posting another chapter so soon. This one is basically a part 2 continuation of last chapter. It wraps everything up with Sensui and it marks the chapters of them being in Demon World once more. There will probably be about 3 more chapters before the Demon World Tournament happens. Lots of things will be happening in the next few chapters. It may take me longer to get those pumped out. We shall see.

Out of the things in her life that could go wrong. This was definitely in the top 20…maybe.
Yusuke had given his life for his friends, to push them over the precipice of their own emotions and energy. Hiei led the charge with his Dragon and even though it was nice to see Youko's form again. It was sad the occasion it was being used for. Kuwabara, wasting no time, followed after his friends.
Said friends, then charged head long into demon world without a care in the world.
Reiko stayed where she was, sitting on her knees with Yusuke's head still in her lap as she watched Kurama, Hiei and Kuwabara disappear into the portal, chasing hopelessly after Sensui.
The barrier she had erected around herself and Yusuke dissipated as the falling debris of rock settled down. She kept her gaze focused on the male in her lap, her hand on his forehead as she concentrated. She knew she was correct in her theory! She knew he wasn't really dead; she knew that.
Yet, his current lifelessness was eating at her.
She half heartedly listened to Koenma explaining the stages of the pending apocalypse. Just because the portal was open, didn't mean the end was coming just yet. She took her gaze off Yusuke to look at Koenma and Mitarai.
"He's talking about S-Class demons." She supplied to him, in reference to Koenma's comment about the demons lurking in the depths of Demon World.
"But, what about the Kekkai Barrier? Won't that keep them out?" Mitarai asked them as Koenma slowly made his way over to where Reiko was with Yusuke. "The barrier is still intact right?"
"Kuwabara will slice through it." Koenma answered, his eyes meeting hers and Reiko nodded in confirmation.
"It's simple. He will slice through the barrier to get revenge for Yusuke." Reiko stated, answering Mitarai's question on why Kuwabara would do such a thing.
"He wouldn't do something so reckless!" Reiko scoffed in disbelief and turned her attention away from the human teenager.
"Yes, he would. It's already about to happen." Reiko grumbled under breath, her eyes glazing over for a moment.
She could see it; the boys had just arrived at the barrier. She made a sound of aggravation at Sensui's insult about the brains of who orchestrated the Kekkai. It was made just for demons for a reason. The psychics that created it needed to be able to filter in and out while it was being constructed. Hence, it only blocking out demons.
Her honey eyes blinked as they refocused, and she tilted her head back to look up at the ceiling. "It's been opened. Kuwabara cut through it, they're almost to Demon World."
Koenma sighed as he kneeled next to her and placed his ear against Yusuke's chest. A frown pulled at his lips as he sat back up and stared down at Yusuke's body. Reiko raised an inquisitive eyebrow at him.
"Something wrong Sir?" Koenma turned to regard her silently. "Don't even ask, you know I can't nor will I answer the question about to come out of your mouth."
From the way his eyes narrowed, her comment must have confirmed his suspicious.
"What's wrong?" Mitarai asked as he squatted next to Reiko.
Reiko and Koenma stayed locked in a staring match. Neither one yielding. Poor Mitarai looked back and forth between the two, confusion and worry being the prominent emotions flashing across his face.
With a defeated sigh, Reiko looked away from Koenma and down at Yusuke. "The SDF are about to arrive in less than 30 seconds." Her eyes shot back up to pierce Koenma's own. "He's not dead. They'll explain in their accusations."
With the SDF arriving, it meant she was correct. Yusuke was Raizen's descendant.
Before Koenma could probe her on what she meant, he was finally able to feel the approaching energy signatures of the bastards heading their way. Reiko's eyes narrowed dangerously, and she glared at them as they made their flashy entrance.
Gods, she hated these pompous fools.
As Koenma and Mitarai stood up and moved away, Reiko easily lifted her barrier back up over Yusuke as she stood to her feet and moved to be in front of his body as they the captain and his other lackeys moved towards them.
Koenma out right refused to leave and she rolled her eyes at the mustache's words of him superseding Koenma's own authority. That may be so, but the idiot didn't have authority over her.
"Are you threatening me now Captain?" *
Having enough of the conversation and wanting to get things moving along. Reiko took deliberate steps forward to place herself in front of Koenma and Mitarai. The SDF officers sneered at her, having remembered her from the last time they were called to the Human World to dispatch a demon Enma deemed 'too dangerous'.
"Let's cut to the chase, shall we boys?" she interrupted whatever Captain Mustache was going to say as she placed one hand on her hip. "If you think for a moment, I'm going to let you kill Yusuke. You are obviously bigger fools than I originally thought."
"You have no place here Witch. We have direct orders from King Enma to terminate the half breed known as Yusuke Urameshi." Captain Mustache told her.
Reiko opened her mouth but cut herself off as her hand raised and pointed towards the black haired SDF asshole. "If you even think about finishing that thought and attacking Mitarai, I will end your pathetic existence!" she hissed out, her once invisible barrier now coming to shimmer in a vibrant blue around Koenma, Mitarai and herself. Yusuke had his own back there.
"As for me not having a place here. Yusuke Urameshi is the direct descendant of Lord Raizen, and by extension he is Lady Aria's blood and brother! MY loyalty to Aria makes this my business, and I will be damned if I let you pretentious, overrated nitwits carry out Enma's insanity!"
"Reiko? He's…what?" Koenma asked flabbergasted from behind her. Reiko glanced at him over her shoulder and shrugged. "The Atavism of the Mozaku?"
"Hold your tongue Witch!" The Captain growled at her and Reiko squared her shoulders, her defenses not going down. "He must be destroyed! The half-demon can not be allowed to survive, he will wreak havoc on the world as we know it if he is not killed now."
"Are you even listening to yourself! You want to talk about the future to me?" The disbelief was astounding. "Let me break it down for you." Reiko rolled her shoulders as she finally let the cap off her spirit energy. The SDF all got into defensive positions as her energy caused the cavern to shake once more. Mitarai and Koenma both stumbling from the sheer force of it all.
"If you don't leave now. I will not hesitate to kill you all. Do you really want to start a war with the Demon world? Because that is what you'll get. Aria and Lord Raizen both with rain down upon your idiotic King Enma with vengeance." She wasn't lying either. She had seen that particular event happen, if Yusuke were to be killed by the SDF.
Anything else she was going to say was cut off as her back straightened and her head whipped around to look at Yusuke's now glowing body. Several things happened next. Reiko moved to grab both Koenma and Mitarai and pushed them out of the way, the same time the SDF prepared to open fire at Yusuke's body. She dove over Yusuke's body, her own flattening him to the ground and threw up a stronger barrier.
A loud screech suddenly sounded from above and a large grin formed on her face as Puu came crashing into the cave, his large wings surrounding Yusuke and herself, just as the SDF open fired.
She could feel the energy blast hitting her barrier, as it kept herself, Yusuke and Puu all safe.
"Well, aren't they loud."
Her eyes snapped down to look at Yusuke and she blinked when she noticed his chocolate orbs open and staring up at her. She was still hovering over him, her arms just above his head and she looked up as Puu's head suddenly nudged against her shoulder.
"You have no idea." She muttered as she moved back and stood up, helping Yusuke to his feet. As the now risen half-demon reached up to pet Puu's head, Reiko took him in.
She could feel his demon energy, the energy signature nearly identical to Raizen's and Aria's. More proof that he was Raizen's heir. Now that he was alive, and she had no need to keep her barrier up. It disappeared and she turned her back to the SDF's as Yusuke started his taunting.
"Thanks weakling, but for what I desire I don't need any help. For what I desire is ending the world and everyone in it. For I am the mighty Mozaku, Lord of Evil." Reiko snorted and hid her face in Puu's feathers, the blue bird making a squawking sound, laughing with her for Yusuke's theatrics. "And now, after hibernating for more than a thousand years, I will finally reveal my true form."
She had to give him credit. He had the evil laugh down.
"You don't mind if I hop on your back do you Puu? We'll be heading off very soon." She cooed to the giant bird, who just nudged his head into her chest. Taking that as a yes, she quickly jumped up and seated herself on his back.
"Damn you guys are gullible!" Yusuke laughed as he broke his little charade. "Hey Koenma, you didn't think I really turned evil did you?"
As Koenma became flustered, Reiko just sighed. "You ready to go hotshot? You have a date with Demon World."
Yusuke looked at her over his shoulder and nodded. Of course, Captain Mustache gave his immediate rejection and tried stopping Koenma from joining them. A well-placed dirty foot in Mustache's face though, had him silenced. She moved a bit as Yusuke and Koenma jumped on Puu next to her.
"Mitarai!" Reiko called out, causing the blond-haired kid to look up at her. "You want to see Demon World?"
Yusuke gave a smile next to her and motioned for Mitarai to join them. The teenager grinned and ran over to Puu, to where Yusuke pulled him up on Puu's back. Reiko pulled a necklace from inside her pocket and slipped over his head.
"There, that will emit a barrier that will protect you from Demon World's harsh environment and the strong demon energy you're going to feel." Mitarai thanked her and took a firm grip on Puu.
"Let's go to Demon world Puu!" Yusuke shouted, and within moments they were airborne and racing into the tunnel.
"Now Yusuke, you know that there is a good chance we won't be able to go back." Koenma had raise his voice to be heard over the rush of wind.
Reiko just chuckled. "Don't worry, I have that taken care of." She just smiled at their looks of confusion. "Just focus on beating Sensui!"
"Don't have to tell me twice!" Yusuke said as they got closer to the Kekkai.
Aria
With all the advance technology Demon World had invented. She and Reiko needed to invest in some kind of device that allowed them to communicate over long distances! More importantly, between worlds.
She knew the technology existed. They just never felt the need to acquire the devices. Now though, she really wished she did.
Aria had no clue what the hell was going on currently.
Kyo and herself had been near the Forest of Fools, having ventured that far to watch over the barrier opening up. The lower level demons were chomping at the bit to get through and get over to living world.
They had told Raizen they'd keep an eyes on it. She knew that Yusuke and the others were most likely on the other side fighting. She wasn't worried, she knew they could handle themselves plus Reiko was with them.
She was concerned though. After that feeling earlier, like death had all but come for her soul. She and Kyo had started to race back to Tourin, only to stop and turn back towards the Forest of Fools when Kurama, Hiei and Kuwabara's energies came hurtling through the barrier and into Demon World.
"My Lady! They're just up ahead! On the Plateau of the Beheaded. The three of them are fighting against Sensui." Kyo shouted behind her, he only a few paces behind herself as they ran at full speed towards the massive energy signatures up ahead.
It didn't take them long to reach the plateau and they jumped around and up the massive trees to try and get as close as they could without being spotted. They had both decreased their demon energies to nearly nothing as to not alert the four fighting of their presence.
"Where's Yusuke?" she asked out loud, dread filling her at the possibility. Her eyes widened and if not for Kyo reaching out and placing a steady hand on her arm, she would have fallen off the tree branch. That feeling earlier. Feeling like someone she loved had died.
It wasn't her father… It came from Yusuke. It was the same feeling she had the first time he had died. Tears gathered in her eyes and she sunk down to her knees on the branch. Her gaze stayed focused on the fighting currently going on, but the rushing in her ears and the overwhelming feeling building in her chest was crushing her.
How was this possible? How could this happen again? Not her Yusuke. Not the one she had come to love as friend. A brother. She couldn't go through this again. Not now.
"Aria! Do you feel that?" Kyo's voice brought her from her tormented thoughts and she tore her gaze from the plateau to look up at him. His azure blue orbs focused on something in the distance, towards the portal.
Slowly, she turned her head and focused. A relieved laughed sounded from her as her hands come up to cover her mouth when she finally felt it.
It was Yusuke's energy.
Her relief was still there, but it melted as pure bewilderment overtook her. What? He felt like a demon. That was a demon's energy radiating from him and not just any demon energy. Her fathers! Her own!
Everything seemed to click suddenly. All the times she felt and seen that red demon energy seeping from within Yusuke. Why Reiko was so hesitant to give her answers about his ancestors. He was Raizen's descendant. She didn't know how, but it was true.
She never took her eyes off the giant bird she deduced as Puu at it flew over head and landed on the plateau. She easily spotted Yusuke, Koenma and Reiko and an unknown human boy get off Puu's back.
Kyo was gripping her hand tightly and with wide eyes she turned to stare at him. Kyo's own astonishment was reflecting back at her. They both knew what this meant. Tourin had another heir.
They were close enough to hear what was being said and Koenma confirmed her thoughts about Yusuke being a demon sleeper. His ancestor being a Mozaku demon. Her hand went lax in Kyo's and he looked down at his lady. Her lip was curled back as a growl slipped out from her clenched teeth.
Before he could stop her, Aria bent her legs and jumped.
The guys and gal on the plateau all froze when they felt the strong demon energy literally come out of nowhere. Their heads whipped to the side as they prepared for whatever was about to come at them.
All except Reiko, Kurama and Koenma. The former just sighed and let her head fall back, her eyes closing. Koenma was in the same position, only he was scratching his neck as he groaned. Kurama just chuckled, a small smile coming to his face, as he recognized the two demon energy signatures.
"Well, this is going to be fun." Hiei narrowed his eyes at the fox demon whilst Mitarai took a step back. The energy coming from the two demon's was strong. Stronger than he had ever felt.
As soon as the words left Kurama's mouth, lightening literally struck the ground between Yusuke and Sensui. A figure rose to their feet as another few bolts struck around their circle. There was a flash of white and a second someone was standing behind the first newcomer. All they saw was white from the male; a mop of white hair, white pants, white jacket and an equally white, fluffy tail.
The other one was female; she was short, with short black shorts and purple tank top, black ankle boots and her long blonde hair was swaying in the breeze that was kicked up from their entrance. She was the cause of the lightening. They could make up dark purple tattoos circling on her arms and legs.
Yusuke froze when the blonde woman turned her head to look at him over her shoulder.
"Aria."
Aria frowned as she stared at Yusuke. Kyo was rubbing the back of his neck next to her and looking annoyed, his annoyance directed at her. She just had to come and make a flashy entrance.
She turned her attention from Yusuke to Sensui and flashed him a smile. "Sup, Sensui. I see you finally snapped from your madness. Sorry to interrupt, but I was in the neighbor hood and well…I need to have a chat with a certain Witch."
With that, she spun around on her heel and vanished from her spot in front of Yusuke, only to reappear in front of the others. Her eyes on Reiko, who was scowling at her.
"Don't give me that look! You could have told me Reiko! Otherwise, I wouldn't be here right now!" Aria snapped off to her, Reiko only rolled her eyes and went to open her mouth, but Aria cut her off. "If the words 'You know I can't say anything' comes out of your mouth. I will personally rip your voice box out."
Reiko huffed in annoyance and placed her hands on her hips as Kurama and Koenma chuckled next to her. Kuwabara was blinking at the two new people in confusion. The blonde woman felt familiar and looked a lot like Aria, but he could have been mistaken. His eyes widened when the white-haired male spoke next.
"Now, now Lady Aria. No need for such dramatics. We've already stalled this fight for far to long." Kyo abolished as he walked over and placed his hand on her head. "Shall we Reiko?" He inclined his head and Reiko just nodded. The two of them blurred out of the existence, leaving Aria alone.
"Ari?" Kuwabara's voice stopped Aria from following the two and she turned to give Kuwabara a wide fanged smile. Kurama and Hiei were both staring at her, well Hiei was glaring and Kurama was giving them a small smile.
"Hey Kazuma! I don't want to get in the way of Yusuke's fight much longer, but we'll talk later okay." She gave him a wink, waved at Kurama, Koenma, the human male and Hiei and turned to look at Yusuke once more; who was giving her the death stare of the century.
"Kick his ass brother." She told him smirking before she too sped off and away from the plateau.
She found Reiko and Kyo only a good 100 meters away and she landed next to them on the tree. Behind her, she could feel the rising energies of Yusuke and Sensui as their fight began. Aria looked over her shoulder at the light show going on up top.
"He's quite powerful, isn't he?" Reiko mused aloud, her and Kyo's attention also on the fight.
"About that." Aria pursed her lips and turned her full attention to Reiko. Their eyes met and she have a smile. "As mad as I am about you not warning me of him dying. I am even more…excited with the fact he's my dad's son, several times down the roll call."
Reiko nodded. "I didn't say anything because I didn't know."
Aria's eyebrows drew down in confusion. When did Reiko NOT know something? Kyo shared her thoughts, a prominent frown on his face. Reiko just sighed and explained how her sight had a lot of holes in it when it came to Yusuke. She had to theorize and guess for herself who Yusuke was. It only being confirmed less than an hour ago.
Her sight had black spots when it came to Yusuke. What did that mean?
"We should move further back." Kyo advised his attention being focused solely on the fight.
Sure enough, Yusuke and Sensui had escalated things and were shooting around the vicinity like a bouncy pinball. A collective groan of exasperation left all three when they hit the mass of demons.
"I am not helping them with that!" Aria declared as she crossed her arms in defiance Yusuke and Sensui fought a bit more before stopping, had a nice little talk and then they were both running further away. "Hey Reiko, can you still make that hovering ball thing?"
"You mean my concentration of spirit energy that allows me to fly within?" Reiko sighed out, her head shaking at Aria's nod.
The three of them were engulfed in her energy and shooting through the air in the next moment.
"They're heading towards the Outlands, on Tourin's border." Reiko blinked and shared a look with Aria and Kyo. Even from a mile away, they could sense the power emitting from the two. They could see the many twister's forming in the desert, a literal vortex of power surrounding both fighting parties.
Reiko's energy bubble sat them down on nearby rock fixture and they stood there to watch the events unfold. Aria could make the others floating above in the sky. The more she watched of their battle, the more her concern grew.
Sensui… his anger and need to fight had all but vanished. Replaced with serenity and acceptance.
As the realization of what that meant came to her. Aria couldn't help but pity the former detective. All this mess, all this chaos. Only to find someone worthy enough to take his life.
"No! What is he doing!" Reiko's sudden shout of panic had both Kyo and Aria turning to look at her. Who? What?
Their answer came not even a second later when a new energy erupted from Yusuke. The intensity of it caused Aria to take a step back, her face laxing into shock. That power! It was Raizen's!
Yusuke's scream ripped through the area and three pairs of eyes widened at the explosion happening in front of them. She caught glimpses of white hair and tattoos that were similar to her own. Once the dust settled, it was like looking at a younger version of her dad. They were close enough they could hear the next words coming from Yusuke.
"I have returned."
"Dad, what are you doing?" she asked in disbelief, her two friends silent not being able to give her any kind of answer. For they didn't know. Reiko was beyond alarmed from the turn of events.
First, Raizen didn't even believe her when she told him and now, he was possessing his descendant.
Aria's shock turned to rage the more she watched the conclusion of the fight. That was not Yusuke in control. Raizen had taken over his body and was working the controls. Her lips pulled back, showing off her fangs as her eyes started to glow white from her rising anger.
She was not going to allow this to happen!
Reiko and Kyo were unable to stop her as she leapt away from their spot a good distance away. Twin shouts of her name fell on deaf ears as she raced towards Yusuke and Sensui. They had just crumbled one of the stone pillars and she could make out Yusuke holding Sensui by his throat in the air.
No, not Yusuke. Her father!
Pushing every last bit of speed, she could in her legs, she kicked off the desert floor and spun; her leg lashing out as she went.
"Enough!"
Her foot connected with Yusuke's jaw and he went flying away. Sensui was dropped from his grasp and he fell to the ground hacking and chocking. Aria ignored him though as she stood her ground. Her swirling blue eyes fixed in a glare, entirely focused on where Raizen was moving Yusuke's body to stand to his feet.
"Aria, what do you think you're doing child!" Hearing the double tone in Yusuke's voice caused Aria to growl, her scowl deepening.
Angrily, she stalked to her father. "How dare you! How dare you take over his body! Take over his fight!" the sand from the desert rose up to whip around her body in her anger. Her body glowing a brilliant blueish white as her demon energy pulsated. "Release him from your possession father! Or I will not hesitate to make you vacate his mind!"
Yusuke was strong and with Raizen in his body, his strength was great. Hers, however, was greater than Yusuke's at the current moment. Far greater! She could easily overpower her father in Yusuke's body.
As Raizen just snarled at her in anger, Aria tilted her head. Lightening traveled down her arms and crackled around her, the already darkened sky grew darker and she knew her eyes were glowing pure white as the wind picked up and the ground started to shake.
"RAIZEN!"
Movement behind her had her whipping around in time to see Sensui shrouded in his sacred energy and coming straight at her. She had half a second to dodge out of the way, her hand lashed out and she grabbed onto his shirt. Her fist crashed into his cheek and he was sent flying upwards into the sky.
"NO! Stop interfering! Give me my body back!"
"So long!"
Those few words spoken from Yusuke were followed by a huge blast of Yusuke's Spirit Gun.
"No" she whispered in horror as Sensui didn't even bother getting out of the way. Yusuke flew by her and she could tell that her dad had let go of the possession. Reiko and Kyo materialized next to her and she watched the others fly over head after them.
"That was foolish of you." Reiko told her, a look of uncertainty in her eyes. "He's angry Aria. Beyond angry." They all knew she was talking about Raizen. The three could feel his demon energy from where they were.
Aria just sighed and raised her hand to cover her face. What good was her interfering if the result still ended up that way. Raizen fired the final shot. It wasn't Yusuke.
"Kyo, Reiko…go on ahead. Make sure they leave Demon World." Aria told him as she looked towards where Tourin was located. "I'm going to go deal with my father."
She didn't give them time to respond as she hastily left the area and raced towards Tourin. The rage she felt moments earlier still prominent within her. Her vision blanked out and she wasn't even fully aware of her actions as she ran towards home.
A part of her was aware the moment Yusuke and the others left Demon World as she had just crossed into her father's realm. The monks gave her a wide berth and Aria forwent the stupid place and the god forsaken stairs!
Using her ability to control the air, Aria propelled herself up with a quick blast of power. The top half of Raizen's throne room was blown to bits as she crashed into it.
Aria landed on the ruined ruble and her head snapped her to lock eyes with her dad. Raizen was standing next to his now destroyed throne. Aria surged forward, her glowing fist a light and Raizen raised his hand to block her punch. His hand singeing from the power she put behind it.
Violet clashed with blue. Their energies swirling around each other, creating a maelstrom of energy in the room. The entire palace was quaking, and she could vaguely hear the monks shouting below in alarm.
"You bastard!" She seethed out, her voice trembling. She brought her leg up to kick him in the chest and Raizen grabbed her ankle. With strength that made it seem like he wasn't even dying, Raizen threw her.
Her body slammed into the stone floor and it crumbled underneath her. Floor after floor she crashed through. Until finally she came to a stop about 12 floors down, all the air forced from her lungs from the repeated impacts. Dust clogged her airways as she tried take in a precious lung full, it only succeeded into throwing her body into a fit of coughing.
She heard her father land next to body and she had enough time to roll out of the way to avoid his fist. Planting her palms flat on the ground, she swung her body around; her left foot connected with Raizen's stomach and she used the momentum to swing up and try to bring her right one down on his head.
Raizen growled at her and a mid-level blast hit her square in the chest before her foot was able to connect with him. Aria smashed into a bookcase, the force of her impact shattering the wood and sending books and scrolls flying in all directions. She groaned as her body felt like it was on fire. Her top was singed, and her torso was blackened from the hit of demon energy.
A crater formed in the stone wall as Aria kicked off it and soured back towards her father. The next few moments were filled with a flurry of punches, kicks, knees hitting bodies and demon energy blasts hitting one another.
The Monks had all but vacated the palace as father and daughter fought. The destruction escalating to high proportions. That was going to a lot of rebuilding.
With a mighty roar, Raizen's fist crashed into Aria's sternum and she was sent ricocheting upwards, ironically back towards the throne room. Aria cried out and made sure to fire off one last bolt of lightening at her father before she was hurtled through the outside wall of the throne room and into the room.
She laid there for a moment. Bleeding and winded. Her lip was split open, a rather large gash was across her cheek and other parts of her body had gashes, bruises and broken bones. She forced herself up onto her feet the same moment Raizen joined her in the room. The bastard only had a bruise on his jaw and a wide laceration across his chest, the bleeding having stopped though. She did take pride in seeing bits of his hair and arms black from her lightning strike scorching him.
Blue meet violet. Anger vs anger. Well, Aria looked angry. Raizen was calmly staring at his daughter, his eyes closed off but still full of emotion. Rage, sadness, irritation, happiness and…pride. Pride in her.
All at once the fight left her and Aria would have fallen to her knees had Raizen not moved to catch her. She collapsed against her father's chest, his arms wrapping around her and pulling her tight against him.
"Why! Why did you do that?" she asked as her hands fisted against his stomach. She was shuddering, as all the adrenaline in her body gave way. She was suddenly so exhausted.
The fact that Yusuke had actually been killed once more. To him being resurrected as a demon, as her brother of all things. Her father possessing him and taking his choice to kill a human away from him. Her own failure of not realizing the signs earlier.
"It had to be done daughter." Raizen soothed, his clawed hand settling on the back of her head. "the boy needs to know. He needs to come to me. This way, he will."
Aria jerked back enough to look up at her father perplexed. What did that mean? She had a suspicious Reiko was behind this little bit.
"I'm sorry for destroying the throne room… and kicking you in the face." She muttered sullenly as she looked away from her father's face to glower at the wall. "and striking you with lightening...even though you deserve it."
Raizen's chest rumbled as he laughed, and Aria smiled at the sound. They stayed like that for a good while, kneeling on the ground. That was until the throne room doors burst open, Reiko and Kyo spilling inside in a hurry.
The wolf demon and human Witch took in the destroyed part of the room and their figures embracing on the floor and a sigh of relief escaped them both. Aria just smiled at her two friends as they walked further into the room.
"I don't even want to know." Kyo said shaking his head as he slid down the wall next to father and daughter. Reiko stayed standing; her arms crossed as she stared out the giant hole in the wall. The two had sent the destruction in the other parts of the palace on their way up. Those two didn't hold back in their fight.
"They left?"
Reiko nodded in confirmation and quickly recounted what happened. That Sensui was already dying anyways, only having half a month to live. His whole plan to come to demon world was to see the home of demons. Kyo took over on parts, his amusement was not hidden when he told Aria about how Yusuke wanted to stay in demon world and find Raizen as well as Aria and kick both their asses for interfering with his fight.
The thought made father and daughter laugh.
Aria was pleased to know they all left together and from Reiko's confirmation, they made it home safely. She then went on to tell them everything that was going to take place soon.
The information…was not what Aria wanted to hear. Things were about to get so much more complicated.
Her grip on her father tightened when Reiko looked at her, her eyes stormy.
Raizen's time was coming to an end. Very, very soon.
Anyone else get teary eyed thinking about Raizen dying? Just me? Okay...well then. That scene is going to be a bitch to write. Hopefully, I do it justice though.
