26. Chapter 26 Prayer

Cat lay motionless hooked to Iv's a tube ran up her nose giving her oxygen and into her stomach feeding her while her feet and wrists were restrained so she wouldn't tear anything out if she woke up.

Running my hand over her face I prayed she would be okay she was so pale she had lost a lot of blood from her nosebleed they were giving her a blood transfusion.

I have never felt so much fear in my life as I did when one of my babies was hurt or sick.

Holding her hand kissing her hands her sweet baby face my eyes kept going to her monitor the numbers flashing before my eyes.

Her blood pressure is so low the pressure in Cat's Venous system is too high that's what's causing her nose to bleed.

Vomiting causes the pressure to go too high Cat's body shivered involuntary, pulling her covers up I kissed her face.

I didn't want to scare her friends by telling them how serious this was but her condition was critical.

The vomiting had caused the blood vessels in her esophagus and stomach to hemorrhage.

What's the Venous system? Well in human anatomy it refers to the veins that drain into the right atrium without passing through two vascular beds of the heart.

Cat was in shock her body losing too much blood her heart was so weak from malnutrition her bones were losing mass they were brittle and weak how she didn't break any is a miracle to me.

In addition to muscle mass her body was losing heart muscle fast her heart Cat's biggest most powerful asset was getting weaker and smaller.

Her circulation was decreasing.

Her vessels were popping causing her to bleed her white blood cells were low she was anemic which made her bleeding even worse.

The beeping was steady as her chest rose and fell clasping her tiny hands to my heart I closed my eyes saying a silent prayer.

Lord

I praise you for your compassion your goodness marvelous your healing mercies

Lord as sickness has invaded my little one's world I stand by helpless but powerful in prayer I lift up to you my precious child I ask for your healing powers to fully permeate every part of my dear child's body.

Lord I ask that my child's body be quickly transformed into radiant health as you respond and your healing powers touch down.

In your name I pray

Kissing her check running my hand over her face I pushed back my tears as her eyes fluttered open.

My heart leaped as she tried to speak it was but a whisper but I heard her word like a scream.
