Chapter 26:

During her deep sleep something a nagging feeling crept in Bre's mind. Trying to ignore it, the feeling wouldn't go away much to her annoyance. Groggily waking up from her comfortable sleep, the girl let out a sigh. Turning to her bedmate, she couldn't help but smile. Pushing Bakura's arms off of her, the girl slowing turned away where she was now sitting at the edge of the bed. After stretching she grabbed the slippers that were hidden under the bed and put them on. Once that task was accomplished, she stood up grabbing her robe in the process as she began walking towards the door. She looked to Bakura one last time before opening the door and exiting.

Closing the door behind her, Bre leaned against it as she was trying to figure out what she was supposed to do. Looking at the close door in front of her that leads into Atem's room, the teen began to wonder if things had worked themselves out between him and Shiana. Curiosity getting the best of her, the female pushed herself away from her door and headed towards the door across the way. Slowly, she placed her hand onto the knob and turned it hoping that the door wouldn't squeak. Pushing the door further open, Bre peeked in and took note that Atem's bed is empty. Upon closer inspection it looked like it was never slept on which worried Bre.

I wonder if he is still with Shiana…or her thoughts stopped right there. Exiting his room, she closed the door behind her and proceeded towards the stairs where she began to descend. When the teen reached the bottom of the stairs, she walked into the kitchen towards the sliding door that will take her outside. She allowed her feet to lead her in hopes of finding her housemate. When the girl stepped outside she shivered as the wind gently blew but that didn't stop her. Walking towards the front of the house where she left Atem and Shiana earlier that night, she narrowed her eyes when no one was there. Now I wonder where those two head off too she thought with curiosity.

Looking around the yard it was hard to see if any damage has been inflicted which she prayed they would find none. Bre wouldn't even know where to start if she had to explain to her mom and Damien why and how the damage had occurred….what would you say. Shaking that coherent thought away, Bre decided to head back into the house. In mid process of turning around, something caught her attention. Walking towards the object that was laying on the group, Bre knelt down beside it as she scoop it up. Looking at it in fascination she couldn't help but get this feeling. What in the world is this? How did it get here? Wanting to get a better look at her finding, Bre proceeded towards the front porch. Turning on the porch light, the girl sat on the chair and began studying the accessary.

The necklace looked like a choker which was dressed in gold. Hanging on the chain was a gold key with wings sprouting from behind. Looking over at the horizon, dawn was approaching. I wonder what Bakura would do if he woke up and didn't see me there she laughed to herself. She knew exactly what he would do and speaking of the said person, Bre looked up and smiled as a tire Bakura walked out of the house and joined her. "Morning" she greeted him. The response she got was a grumble which was expected. Looking to the female, Bakura gave her a confuse look, "so this is where you have been?" Bre nodded, "yea for some reason I couldn't sleep so I decided to get up early." Nodding at her response, Bakura took a seat in the chair across from the other teen. "I take Atem isn't here" he asked? The pink hair girl shook her head, "I was hoping I would find him out here but didn't."

Silence had fallen upon the two teens that were just enjoying the moment. Bre looked down at the necklace that was lying across her lap and then look to Bakura who was looking over the horizon. Before she could speak, Bakura stood up to stretch. Turning to her, he asked "you want to go get something to eat?" Bre looked at him dumb fully and slowly nodded. The whitenette smirked "you might want to get dress first onna." Looking down at her attire, Bre couldn't help but blush while giving him a sheepish smile.

An hour and half past and the two were ready to head out. Bre pocketed the necklace and figured she can ask Bakura about it later. As the two were walking down the side walk towards the café, Bre smiled when she saw two familiar faces that looked like they were waiting for them. Looking to Bakura, he too was surprised. Kaley and Nathanael were sitting on a bench looking to be enjoying the weather. Seeing Bakura and Bre, Kaley smiled and shot right up surprising the boy beside her and began waving. "Bre, Bakura over her" she yelled.

Bre couldn't help but smile as she return the wave. When the two approach Kaley and Nathaniel, the two girls hugged. "You're in a good mood despite what happen the other night" Bre asked? Kaley couldn't help but smile and shot her wrist out. Seeing the small, gold bracelet with a small diamond in the middle, Bre knew that this was the reason for her friend's happiness. "Wow, nice choice Nathanial she told the brown hair boy who blushed." "Isn't it, he surprised me with it this morning." Looking to Bakura Kaley couldn't help but smirk "you better start taking notes Kura."

The whitenette dark angel rolled his eyes at her attics, "whatever." Looking to Bre, "what are you guys up to this fine morning?" The pink hair girl responded, "we are going to get some breakfast…by the way have you guys seen Atem or Shiana?" Nathanial stood up and shook his head, "not since last night." "I hope those two are okay" Kaley asked, "I mean I hope they didn't kill each other or anything." "Well Atem was pretty furious but I guess you can't blame him" Nathaniel added "nothing we can do at this moment." Seeing the worry look on Bre's face, Kaley couldn't help but feel sympathy for her and had an idea. "Why don't Nathaniel and I join you both for breakfast since we aren't doing anything?" Looking to her boyfriend for a response, the brunette nodded "sounds fine by me." Beaming, Kaley hook her arm to Bre and lead her away from the guys. Leading the group to the café, Kaley wanted some girl time with the mortal.
