New chapter time! ...OK. I feel the need to explain myself. I know I said last chapter that this chapter was going to be when Sara gets Randy and Seth together for their peace meeting, but...the idea of AJ coming to make up with Sara got stuck in my mind, so I decided to go with that first. Want to see how the girls making up goes? Read on to find out, my loves. =)
Lying on her bed after having made a run to the bathroom to vomit, Sara couldn't help but feel so happy about the two phone calls she got just as she was leaving the doctor's office. She never would've guessed that all it was going to take was a few weeks apart for both Randy and Seth to come to a mutual truce and to want to try to patch things up with each other. But, now that a truce between two of the most important men in her life was coming, she felt like she could hardly contain her joy.
'Now the big thing I have to do is just arrange for a meeting time and place, and we can hopefully work this mess over,' Sara thought, a hand going up to rest on her baby bump. 'Then we can all look forward to when my baby's born as a family.'
The brunette was almost close to nodding off for a bit of a quick nap when knocking at the door seemed to wake her right back up. Her forehead scrunching together, Sara couldn't begin to think who it could be. 'Kait and Lay are still out at the mall last I checked, so...Who could this be?' The same knocking coming again, Sara pushed herself up and off of the bed and walked over to the door. Grabbing hold of the doorknob and giving the metallic fixture a turn as she then pulled open the door, Sara was surprised to see who was standing on the other side.
Her hand raised to knock again, AJ jumped a bit in surprise at how fast the door opened up. Her fingers uncurling, the Latina offered a nervous wave of her hand. "Hey, Sara. This...isn't a bad time, is it? I could come back later, if you want."
"No, no, AJ! Um, come in," Sara gestured into the room. Standing to the side so that AJ could come in, Sara couldn't help but involuntarily glance upward as a silent prayer went through her mind. Closing the door behind her, Sara looked over to where AJ had taken a seat in one of the chairs that was in the room. Walking to take a seat in another of the empty chairs herself, Sara soon found herself and her guest sitting in an eerily quiet hotel room. 'Well. This is awkward.'
Pulling at one of her bracelets, AJ was still surprised that Sara even let her into her room. When she had first begun on her trek to find the pregnant brunette, she had went to what was her room, only to be greeted by Seth and told that she was staying with Kaitlyn and Layla for the time being. She didn't really get an explanation for this after that, but...that didn't matter to the Latina. Just so long as she could find Sara, that was all that mattered. Taking a breath in and letting it out, AJ turned to Sara as she finally managed to get her words out. "So. I'm probably willing to bet you're curious about why I'm here."
"Yeah. Actually, I am," Sara answered. "Is...everything okay, AJ? Last time I even saw you, you were beating the shit out of a punching bag?"
"Yeah, I was...I was trying to let out some frustrations that day," AJ let out a bit of a nervous laugh.
"And...I'm guessing those frustrations are pretty much gone now?" Sara asked.
"Pretty much, they are," AJ nodded. "Only thing I'm dealing with now is trying to make up with everyone I've burned the whole time I was with Dolph."
Blinking in surprise, Sara...actually couldn't believe what she was hearing. The whole time she had come to know AJ, she didn't know that the petite Latina was even remotely capable of apologizing for the things she had done; and if she was capable of such a thing, it'd be in a fairly sarcastic way. So to hear AJ saying what she was saying now had Sara feeling another wave of surprise flowing through her.
Looking over to see the surprise on the pregnant brunette's face, AJ let out a laugh as she shook her head. "Yeah, I...I probably should've expected a reaction like this."
Shaking away her surprise, Sara said "Sorry, AJ. It's just...I wasn't quite expecting you to come here and tell me something like this. After all, it's not every day that someone that was making your life hell suddenly shows up outside of your hotel room and says that they want make nice with you after all of that."
"Yeah. I was expecting a reaction like this," AJ nodded as she looked down at her hands. Looking back up to meet Sara's gaze, AJ said "Sara. I'm really sorry for basically singling you out as a target and harrassing you a lot after that. If it's at all possible, I'd like to try to make things better between us."
Still feeling a fair amount of surprise, Sara shook her head before clearing her throat. "Well, don't take any of what I'm about to say personally. This is all just something I'm still trying to really process here. Now, ...don't take that as me saying that I don't accept you wanting to make nice with everything that happened between us. Just for now...take it as me accepting your apology on a bit of caution."
"Really?" AJ asked, surprised to hear this coming from Sara. Seeing the brunette nod, AJ let out a bit of a laugh before saying "I'll take caution over nothing, to be totally honest."
Letting out a laugh herself, Sara then said "Well, if you could just keep an attitude like this, I'm sure all of your other little apologies will go over pretty well."
"I can only hope that you're right, Sara," AJ looked back down at her hands.
Sitting and talking with AJ up until the petite brunette excused herself before Kaitlyn and Layla came back, Sara sat in the now quiet of her hotel room, her talk with AJ still fresh in her memory. While she didn't outright forgive the shorter woman, she at least exercised caution with forgiving the person that made things hell for her ever since she debuted. Perhaps somewhere down the road she could find it in herself to fully forgive AJ. But, for now, she had other things to worry about, the main thing being...Just how was she going to go about having Randy and Seth come together and having them making nice with each other go over smoothly?
Isn't that nice? Sara and AJ making up seemed to go over fairly well. I mean, they aren't besties or anything, but...at least there was cautionary forgiveness given here, which I think counts as a plus. Now that forgiving AJ is behind her, Sara can now focus on trying to get Randy and Seth together so that those two can make nice...which is coming soon, I promise. So, until next chapter, don't forget to R&R please. =)
