The war between bloods

Taking a walk around the grassland, Nagi stood besides Inas. The expected mother wore a dark blue long sleeved dress that reaches barely her ankles with black flats. She looks around then breathes in the fresh air. Her hair grows out from her medium bob to a low left ponytail. Ever since Nagi carries Kouen's child, Inas stay close to make sure they are safe. Placing her hands on her round stomach of four months, she knows that the fourth month is slowly ending. Nagi almost jumps when a hand on her shoulder. She relaxes when turns her head to the right side to see Inas.

"Haven't you picked a name for your baby son or daughter?" Inas asks. Nagi let a short giggle, "No, not yet but I will keep looking." She turns her head to the sky. The Asad watches the white clouds simply passes by the sun.

"Are you worried?" Inas broke the silence. The old woman watches Nagi shook her head.

"No, I trust my husband and his choices. I just have to wait for him." She said with confidence.

"You put a lot of trust in him." Inas chuckles.

"Of course, Kouen is my husband and best friend. He earns my respect; in return he treats me the same way." Nagi muses. "What is the point of a marriage without building a foundation of trust and love? Now then let's go home, I'm craving for some sweet sauce chicken~"

The soldiers in Kouen's army walk into battle formation, waiting for the generals and strategists' plan in their large tent. Ever since Alibaba and Aladdin's attempt to persuade Hakuryuu's invasion on Balbadd, they failed as Alibaba paid the price.

Their battlefield is in the Kanan Plains, using their flat terrain for their advantage. Koumei stood at the north side of the tent. Taking both of his sides is Kouen's house vessals, Seishuu and Kin Gaku. Kouha and Kougyoku join the battle as they stood a couple feet away from Koumei. Two rows of generals face each other with a large table showing the map of their battlefield. The generals stay still in unbearable silence until Koumei spoke up, telling everyone of their plan. Kouen remains in Balbadd, leaving Koumei as the temporary commander.

Kouha spoke up when a few generals become too confident of Koumei's plans. He tells everyone to be prepared for anything and boosts their morale of making a speech. The meeting ends with Koumei's last words before battle.

"Please win."

Even though the battle lends towards Kouen's favor, unexpected changes made them stop in their tracks. Koumei stood up from his seat when he heard news of two kings from the Seven Seas Alliance lending a hand to Hakuryuu. Kougyoku and Kouha were in shock when one of the kings stood in front of them with a confident smirk. One of the kings from Spartos' kingdom begins to speak.

"We come to the side of the legitimate ruler of the Kou Empire! The Kou Empire has already pledged an oath to the seven seas alliance and become our ally." He announces. One soldier quickly runs to Koumei as he kneels down to him, telling him the news.

"Impossible…h-how could you Lady Hakuei?!" Koumei still couldn't believe the news of Hakuei's approval to let the Seven Seas Alliance step on Kou's territory.

Kouen's siblings stood in shock as the large numbers of Sinbad's army surround Balbadd where Kouen resides. Aladdin stays in the same room with Kouen, watches in horror. The little magi only had his eyes on Kouen's back. Kouen looks down at his advisors and general who bows their head to him, waiting for his orders.

"What will you do, Emperor Kouen?!" One man cries out. The red hair man closes his eyes for a moment then opens them. The men close to him understood his answer as they watch in silence. Kouen turns his back to them as he starts walking out the room. Before he left the room, he places a hand on Aladdin's shoulder. Aladdin looks up to see Kouen's eyes. The little magi's eyes widen as Kouen removes his hand and left the room.

On the edge of one mountain, Lamia stood quietly as she watches the Kanan Plain battle unfold before her eyes. At her left side is her horse. Biting her lip, she holds an object in her right hand. The object is the eye of Rukh. "The battle is over." She announces. The crystal ball reveals Rais and Hasna's faces.

"What happened?" Rais asks.

Hakuryuu wins the battle of Kanan Plains.

Koumei and Kouha were arrested and placed on trial. The trial had made their decision, their title are to be taken away and force to live in exile. The brothers felt bare when the Kou Empire took away their djinn also. Both of them were transferred to a small island by boat with their hands bound by their soldier escorts. Aladdin decides to go with the exiled princes for their safety. Kouha and Koumei step off the ship, facing the wild jungle with Aladdin following them. For some reason, the soldiers cut off their bounds with their swords and return on the ship.

"Hah? They left us here." Kouha mumbles. Koumei thought for a moment then spoke up.

"Someone gave me a note with a special seal." He finally answers. "Apparently someone is meeting us here."

"Really? From whom?" Kouha tilts his head. Aladdin looks around their surroundings to find any signs of life. 'They say they will meet us here…' He thought to himself.

"A couple of people had to pull a few strings for both of you." One female voice interrupts him. Both brothers including Aladdin turn to the source of the voice to see Lamia riding on her horse. Behind her are two large men with curved swords at their belt. The men look down at Koumei and Kouha. Aladdin shivers for a moment when the men saw him. She gave them a warm smile.

"Miss Nagi mentions you, little Magi." Lamia muses to herself when Aladdin approaches her.

Koumei spoke up when taking a closer look at the woman.

"You seem familiar…"

"Ah right, I'm Miss Nagi's former maid. She calls me her friend now." Lamia explains. Kouha's eyes widen at the news, he tries to speak up but Lamia continues.

"We should go aboard the ship now before we lose daylight."

"This is a big place…" Kouha mutters, seeing the long grass flowing with the wind from afar. Koumei nods in agreement. After a long trip back by boat to the mountain pass, both brothers follow Lamia as she took lead. Lamia let Aladdin ride with her on her horse before they go through the mountain's pass.

Behind the Ren brothers are the two Asad men acting as bodyguards. Carefully they walk down the steep mountain pass to the grassland. They are offered horses for the long journey to a community. Passing the gates, Koumei and Kouha watch a couple of children kick around a small ball. They stop when they saw the horses trotting past them. They climb off their horses as Lamia waves at the Asad men. Aladdin slowly got off of Lamia's horse with her help.

"Thank you for your services." Lamia bows her head to them. The men gave her a large grin, "Anything for Lord Rais and Lady Hasna. See you later Lamia." The men left three of them behind to return back to their family and friends. "So this is where Nagi and her family live…" Koumei mumbles to himself.

"This is a nice place to live." Aladdin said with a smile on his face.

Lamia motions them to follow her towards the large building. Aladdin walk beside Lamia as the brothers follow them. The former princes almost trip when a group of children run past them.

"Come on guys! Lady Nagi going to read a story to us!" One little girl shouts out. Both former princes look at each other when hearing her name. They walk towards the large building then pass the metal gates that lead to a large garden. Kouha and Koumei saw the children sit on the ground looking up a familiar figure sitting on a metal chair. Aladdin's eyes sparkle when seeing Nagi after a long time.

"Hmmm, what story I should tell you?" Nagi thinks out loud. One boy raises his hand with excitement.

"What about the story of the Sea monster and the Warrior?!" He cries out. One girl with short pigtails glares at the boy, "No way! We want to hear the story of the Great general and his love!" Most of the girls cry out in agreement. The boys stick their tongue out at the girls, a couple of them argue with them. Nagi waves her hand to calm them down.

"Kids, please don't fight. Now then- " She looks up for a moment to see Lamia and Aladdin with two red head men behind them. Her eyes waters as she slowly stands up from her seat. The children become silent when seeing their caretaker become emotional. Her body shakes as she covers her mouth, holding in a sob. Koumei and Kouha approaches Nagi as Aladdin runs up to her to give her a warm hug.

"Aladdin! You look different than before…" She comments. "I'm glad that you are safe." Aladdin nods then notices white rukhs fluttering around the Asad. A couple of rukhs land on her left shoulder, not bothered by her movements.

Nagi returns the gesture as they both part to let the brothers look at her.

"Koumei…Kouha." She stutters out. Kouha wraps his arms around Nagi, giving her a hug. "It's great to see you again, Onee-san!" Kouha said with a grin on his face. Pulling away from her, his eyes widen to see Nagi's slightly round stomach. Koumei looks at Nagi's stomach also, speechless. Kouha's hands shaken as he looks up at her. Aladdin looks at her stomach, 'No wonder…the rukhs are around her.' He thought to himself. Spilling out tears from her eyes, Nagi stood in silence.

"A….A-Are you having a baby?" Kouha asks. With a single nod, Kouha places his hands on her stomach. Koumei looks at Nagi, trying to get an answer from her.

"Yes Kouha and Koumei, I'm carrying Kouen's child." She announces. Aladdin smiles at the thought of Kouen and Nagi's baby. Kouha's eyes begin to water; Nagi turns to Koumei who stares at her stomach with curiosity. A giggle left her lips; she takes Koumei's left hand then places it on her stomach. "Don't be shy, the baby won't hurt you." She whispers. The second prince was caught off-guard but let his hand remain on her stomach. Kouha removes his hand from her stomach to motion Aladdin to do the same.

Koumei slowly removes his hand as they watch the little Magi's hands on her expected mother's stomach. One rukh lands on Aladdin's hand. Aladdin removes his hand to watch Koumei and Kouha interact with Nagi.

"So how long you have En's baby?" Kouha asks, looking at Nagi's eyes. Placing her left hand under her chin, she spoke up.

"Almost 5 months…" She answers. "I start to show signs a week after you guys left for the Summit…"

Nagi watches Koumei and Kouha mood drops, giving a guilty atmosphere. She waves her hand at them. "Ah, don't worry about it. The only thing matter that you guys are here." Nagi attempts to lighten the mood.

"Onee-san about Kouen..." Kouha spoke up. Nagi pats on Kouha's shoulder, stopping him from talking any further. "No need to talk about it now. You guys need to rest." Lamia took the message as she motions them to go inside the house. Nagi and Aladdin remain outside. She turns her attention to the little Magi.

"We should go inside." Nagi said, pointing to the door behind her. Aladdin grabs her right sleeve then release his grip, "Onee-san…Lord Kouen want to give you a message, 'Sorry to make you have to wait longer for me.'"

She places her hand on Aladdin's head and pulls him close. After a couple of seconds, Nagi pulls away from him to look into his eyes. "Thank you, Aladdin. I don't mind waiting for him as long he comes home. To tell you the truth, I feel powerless for not being at his side." Nagi pauses for a moment then continues, "For now, I just need to be patient…"

"You are really tough, Onee-san." Aladdin whispers.

Letting out a soft laugh, Nagi ruffles Aladdin's hair. "Of course, I am born in this world and survive through life's hurdles. I wouldn't be Kouen's wife if I couldn't handle his lifestyle. We should go meet up with the others before they start looking for us." Aladdin nods his head once, agreeing with her. Both of them decide to join with the others before the day slowly falls to the afternoon. Nagi bears a smile on her face when hearing Kouen's message. Always in her mind and heart, she still holds on hope for Kouen to return home.
