Kurama's POV:

"What do you mean you thought you were dead too? Did you come across a demon?" Hiei asks. I temporarily forgot about him after seeing that girl.

"Yeah. I did. But someone killed him before he got a chance to break my head in half." I watch her as she walks away from the hotel. She's so mysterious it gives me a certain feeling to suddenly need her name.

"What? Who?" This time Yusuke gets curious.

"I have no idea." I step away from the window after I can't see her anymore.

"Uhh Kurama, a question?" I stare at Yusuke, still smiling. "Do you have a crush on that girl?"

I nearly laugh with that question. "No of course not! Why would you think I'd like her?"

Before he could answer, Hiei interrupts. "I'll be the one to ask him the questions. The rest of you, leave." By the sound of his voice, he isn't kidding. It's enough to scare Yusuke and Kuwabara away. Genkai follows his orders out of respect. As soon as the others enter the hallway and closes the door, Hiei began. "Okay. Tell me exactly what happened this morning."

I sigh and begin to tell him about the demon about to kill me, but then the girl saved me so I wasn't dead.

"And you don't know the girl's name?"

"I forgot to ask. But she did say she was captain of Team Korisuishou." I recall. "Who is that team anyway?"

Hiei stares at me with no emotion. "Korisuishou, the band of mysterious cloaked men; the ones that walked in the same motion. Ring a bell?"

I remember observing a team in cloaks that killed their opponents in five minutes. I get a playfully worried look on my face. "Oh… Them."

"Yeah. Them. So to another thing, do you really not like that girl?" I can hear the pain in Hiei's voice. Why is he so anxious?

"I don't like that girl. But… I've seen her somewhere before. The thing that's killing me is I don't know where or when. I know I have." I look out into the window again. "That's why maybe if I knew her name, I'd know."

I can feel Hiei relaxing as he sits next to me. "It's not your human form that's seen her. It's Yoko. He knows nearly every powerful demon in demon world. So the fact that Yoko has seen her before means-"

"She's a demon. But she told me her team is half human half demon? How could she not be tempted to eat her teammates?"

He gives me one of his 'you're really that dumb' look. "Kurama have you forgotten that you're human, that ugly faced human is human, and so is Genkai and Yusuke and I haven't killed you?"

As I let his explanation sink in, I nearly laugh in embarrassment. "Oh yeah."

The door suddenly opens and four teenage looking girls appear. "Da- da-da-da! The cavalry has arrived!" The blue haired one says.

"Sorry Hiei, we tried to stop them." Kuwabara explains, fear noticeable in his voice.

I look pass the three girls and notice a teal like color. "Yukina?" The girls move to the side exposing Hiei's little sister.

"Hi Kurama." She shyly waves at me.

"Yukina! What the hell are you doing here? You should be home!" Hiei scolds brotherly like.

"No. Demons there know you're here and they'll try to kill me for sure!" She counters back. It makes sense. "Besides, I can heal your injuries if you battle some really strong demons."

"That'd be great, thanks Yukina." I motion her to come over and give her a hug. "It's great to see you again." I look over at Hiei to see if he has anything to say. Instead I see him having a death stare with the blue haired girl.

"Botan."

"Hiei."

"I see you still have your blue hair dye."

"I see you're still four foot ten." I hold in a laugh as I see Hiei's face of defeat.

"Alright what's the matter?" I step in before Hiei kills the girl.

"Kurama, that bitch is Botan. She's one of Koenma's servants."

Botan gasped in hurt. "Bitch? Why you puny dragon I'm going to snap you in half!" The other girls restrain her before she can strangle Hiei.

"And uh… Why do you two have a grudge?"

"Well since Koenma, AKA your ex boyfriend is the team's coordinator, they know eachother." Botan explains.

"Wait so in school, and when Koenma came back, you two acted like you never knew eachother?" I look at Hiei questioningly. He gives me a silent nod. "Oh well, then thanks for informing me just now."

The rest of the team comes in and they introduce the other two girls; Yusuke's girlfriend Keiko and Kuwabara's older sister Shizuru. To loosen up the mood before matches start, we play a little bit of cards. Of course Hiei excludes himself out.

SOMEWHERE ON THE ISLAND:

"Kori! Where have you been? We were worried about you!" A female voice exclaims.

"I just took a walk. And surprisingly ran into him."

"Him? As in, Yoko Kurama him?" This time it's a male's voice.

"Yup. Saved his human ass from being killed."

"Wait. So you saved him from a demon? Why didn't you just let the demon kill him for you?"

"Because…" She looks out into the sea. "It won't be revenge if you have someone else do your killing for you."
