Author note: Hope you all enjoy!

Koryandrs: Well it seems we have similiar tastes! I'm glad you enjoyed the last chapter.

Avalayn: You'll see. You never know I could kill her off for dramatic effect.

Padublunini: I'm not sure where I'll go with Alexy and Alexi. Maybe nowhere or just friends. I know it was cruel. But wasn't it that much better for it cause you didn't know what would happen next?

Disclaimer: No.

Chapter start

There were times when it seemed the world had stopped. There were times the world seemed to have sped up. There were even times when people longed for one or the other, reaching desperately to either hold a moment longer or to rush through it so the pain couldn't poison them further.

There were more times when people became trapped between, not knowing if they wanted to cling or if they wanted it to be over and done.

White was a hideous color. It was supposed to be neutral but all it seemed capable of inspiring in the gathered people was a mix of nausea and helplessness. White walls, white, sheets, white gowns, and white tile. The only splashes of color being the clothes they wore and the hair spread against the pillow.

Just hours before the hair had been combed by gentle fingers to bathe the pieces that had gathered red liquid from the pool. The ends were still a little damp. The tattered clothes had been removed to operate on the too fragile body as well. It was hard to believe just how much blood a human body could hold.

That blood had been her life. Special blood and genetic coding that wasn't easy to replace. Even now with what Alexi had given her there wasn't enough circulating in the system to have her function on her own. Machines were attached to regulate her breath, to move her heart and circulate the thinned substance of life, machines that Castiel didn't recognize.

Royce had wanted to give her his blood instead of Alexi. Upon realizing that it had been his former partner he had been out of sorts and panicky. Alexi had glared him into submission when Royce protested vehemently it was his mistake to fix. Now the two were sitting in the waiting room outside of Lucia's room, Royce clutching at Alexi's hand tightly that had a bandage wrapped around the wrist.

Castiel held Lucia's hand gently, pressing the curled fingers to his forehead as he leaned forward. His back ached from the awkward arch, his arms lightly trembling from being held straight, the fingers slowly throbbing in protest from the grip he held. None of it mattered nearly as much as holding that hand and feeling the steady and even pulse under the still pale skin.

Rosalya was pressed into Lysander's shoulder. Raisha and Tata were dropping by every hour on the hour, to check the fluids being pumped into the comatose Lucia. Locke was locked away in his office, coordinating the recovery team that consisted of Stanton and Ciera, Tristian meeting up with them to track down Micah.

"I don't see why we couldn't have taken her to a real hospital." Rosalya said, her eyes puffy and rimmed.

Alexi sighed and his annoyance at the question was now obvious. Before he could unleash a tongue that Royce had first hand knowledge of being a horrid combo of wasp and sniper barbs Royce tightened his grip and cleared his throat.

"As we've mentioned," Royce sent a glare to Alexi when he snorted, "the blood that Lucia needs isn't stocked at hospitals. If regular doctors got even a small sample of it and noticed the unique structure of our DNA then the brass would fall pretty heavily."

It was a complaint Rosalya had uttered off and on for the past hours. Lysander glanced at the clock. They had been there for well over several hours now.

"Are you going to chase down that girl too?" Rosalya asked.

"Who, Aria? Nah." Royce leaned back.

Lysander glanced at the two boys in surprise too.

"But she stopped Lucia's heart!" Rosalya protested.

Alexi shifted to rest against the wall rather than Royce. "Yes but she did it with a concentrated serum that froze the body and protected the organs and brain. If she hadn't then Lucia's body would have gone into shock and her 'death' would have been permanent. Even now there is no guarantee. It was a small chance but we can't spit on it."

"But she already tried to kill us all too."

Alexi offered some shorthand reply which Royce felt needed expanding on. Lysander tuned them out while Rosa entered into a verbal barrage against Alexi and his harsh rebuttal of what was obvious to her.

His heterochromatic eyes shifted to look through the glass to his friend and the girl he was watching over. Castiel looked almost as horrid as Lucia herself looked. His skin was taut and he held himself rigidly, focused on the pale face on the pillow.

"Hey idiots."

The three friends turned to the voice. Their reactions were different but the same. Lysander grasped Rosalya's wrist when the girl would have risen. Castiel clenched his fists and prepared to snarl at the girl.

Crimson eyes glittered and a smirk lit on the face for a moment before it faded.

"Listen here. Lucia is going to die if you don't tell me where they went."

"Why would we tell you anything? You kidnapped us!" Rosalya all but shouted.

Aria cast her eyes around to make sure nobody was turning to them. The area around the food court had such a heavy cacophony of sound though that it would have taken Rosalya screaming in a banshee voice to be heard with any certainty.

Aria cursed a little. "If you can't help then I suppose I'll take a guess. If I'm lucky I'll find them in time. If not…"

Lysander finally rose but only to put an arm out when Castiel jerked to his feet. The redhead was glaring fiercely. Aria poured the same malice from her in heavy waves as they studied each other. It was in a way eerie. Both crossed their arms and looked faintly sick, as though the sight of the other was enough to cause them to hurl.

"You've made it quiet clear you wish to kill Lucia to us before," Lysander fixed his gaze on the sapphire haired Advanced. "How do we tell you mean to help her and not the other one?"

Aria smiled in a deadly fashion. "You answered it yourself."

"All right listen! I don't have time for your crap!" Castiel suddenly snapped. "I don't hit girls but for you I'd make an exception!"

"If you can," Aria taunted.

"How do we know that he isn't good?" Rosalya demanded.

Aria rolled her eyes and muttered. It was nothing complimentary. After a moment she turned on her heel and began walking away.

"Hey wait just a second!" Castiel lunged after her.

"It's the priority order," Aria called over her shoulder as she walked, "to target and kill the Advanced that attacked the Shadow Fang headquarters to get you all back."

Ice had slithered into all their stomachs, clenching the muscles and making them pause. It had been Castiel who recovered enough to follow Aria, images of the sickened form of Lucia in his mind.

She had been bleeding and hurt in that shower. Even though she had smiled and taunted him in her usual way he should have known she wouldn't be honest about how much pain she felt.

Lysander had hurried to stay with his friend and Rosalya had gone trailing after. Aria had taken circle paths as though she didn't know the way in the mall. Finally though she had paused.

"The roof. How do I get there?"

Her air of impatience and urgency had rubbed off on Rosalya who took the lead. "It's this way!"

It had already been at least ten minutes since Lucia had vanished with Micah. Castiel tried not to imagine the worst. Lucia wasn't going to die. That much she had promised him, had assured him and if there was one thing he learned was Lucia did not lie. She had explained once that she practiced discretion.

She had brought it up after he had caught her in leaving holes in her cover-ups. Discretion was entirely different then lying. Lying was filthy and used to obtain a result normally impossible. Discretion was the ability to pick and choose what to say and how to handle things in a carefully evasive manner, thus achieving a result that everyone could at least grow to be content with.

He had rolled his eyes at the time. It was splitting hairs to put it that way. But when that roof door swung open and the scene became branded in his brain how he needed to believe in her stupid little avoidance schemes.

The image of Micah standing over Lucia who laid limply and motionless on the ground. With a gun held loosely in his hand. It had taken a moment to register the red around her was blood. It had taken even longer to let the idea of it filter.

Time had frozen and shattered as Aria rushed forward, automatically engaging Micah in the dance that had proved fatal to Lucia. Only Lucia had been wounded beforehand and had been suffering from it. Aria was on the mountain top of her game.

Castiel had swiftly knelt by Lucia, uncaring as his pants absorbed vicious red. It felt almost like he had fallen in a puddle only instead of the icy and muddy water it was warm, almost hot, thicker and capable of opening a chasm of fear and horror.

He couldn't control the trembling of his hands as he reached out to try and rouse her. Blood mesmerized him as he saw it flow from her mouth in time to shallow breaths, the rise of her chest barely there. Right before his eyes she was fading.

"Don't move her." Lysander was there suddenly, kneeling as well but with more care.

He didn't settle into the pool of red like Castiel had done, rejecting the idea of sinking into it.

"Oh my god. We need to call an ambulance." Rosalya practically whined.

Aria was there again suddenly. She grabbed the cell from Rosalya's hands and crushed it under her heel, shooting a barrage of bullets at Micah to keep him away.

"That'll make more work. Just stay in the corner and shut up." Aria commented before she rushed.

Castiel barely registered it. His hands had been pushing her shoulders down as gently as he could when she had made a small effort to shift but now he couldn't do it. He lifted her head up and cradled her, feeling the familiar shape of her and also the chilled temperature of her skin. He could barely see her skin at all, the blood almost enveloping her.

"Lucia you can't die, you understand me? You fucking cannot die." Then because there was no response and he could practically feel the distance growing between them he broke down a little more, bowing over her.

"Please."

Eyes had slit open after a moment. Words hadn't been uttered, her attempt causing a violent hacking fit that resulted in blood hitting him in his face and shirt.

It hadn't taken long for her to fade from him again. Before despair had set in Aria was there for a third time. She knelt and studied Lucia carefully, reaching out to touch her stomach and encountering the wounds on her stomach and the rib wound.

"Some of these aren't as fresh but they aren't helping."

"She was hurt earlier. She wouldn't tell me by who." Castiel muttered.

"Of course she wouldn't. Injuries are common in this line," Aria fiddled in the bag she had brought with her as she spoke, "the odd thing is she should have been better capable of recognizing her limit. Dropped the ball on this one."

The needle flashed in the sunlight as she revealed it. Clear liquid shone.

"What is that?" Lysander asked.

"The only thing that'll give Lucia a chance of living."

Aria didn't bother to elaborate and they couldn't protest. She pushed the syringe into Lucia's neck and pushed...

The effect was almost instantaneous. Lucia's skin chilled and her shallow breaths ceased. There was now a corpse in his arms.

Before Castiel could react Aria was gone. And there were the other Advanced, Royce and Alexi had burst onto the roof. Alexi had his gun drawn as he secured the area. Royce pulled Lucia from Castiel's unresisting grip and pressed his fingers against her pulse.

"Explain." Alexi had ordered in a demanding and firm tone that wouldn't allow arguing or protest.

Castiel didn't hear anything. All he could think was Lucia was dead. This time officially and without a doubt. He had held the broken body in his arms.

It had taken half an hour for the helicopter had arrived. Lucia had been handed in gently by Royce and then it was gone swiftly, taking away something important.

It had taken some convincing but eventually the two had agreed to lead the three to where Lucia's body had been taken. They had explained on the way that there was a small chance Lucia could be revived, a small and limited chance.

The doctor had cleansed the serum from her system. When they arrived she was being operated on. When the doctor had came out to tell them she needed a transfusion Castiel would have given anything to trade places with her.

Every time the heart monitor stopped had caused his own to fumble. Now he was unable to move from her bedside. The doctor had said quiet clearly she could still pass. He had also made it a point to tell them even if she did pull through she might not wake up.

"Lucia you better not disappear again," Castiel tried to threaten, "I'll never forgive you this time."

The monitors monotonous beeping was the only response. Alexi had come in and was leaning in the doorframe. "She's a fighter."

Castiel would have been surprised by the offer of comfort if he was in any state to be shocked. Alexi and he weren't particularly close. They saw each other on an as needed basis. Alexi and Royce were close to Lucia and it was with them she was most comfortable besides him so he didn't mind putting up with the PDA and the constant bickering the two did when they were at his place.

It wasn't even bickering really. Royce acted like such a moron sometimes Castiel was amazed Alexi hadn't beaten him up and contented himself with sharp words and the occasional cuff upside the head.

"I know she is," Castiel muttered.

Then because he couldn't resist he asked, "if that Tristian guy ordered her would she-"

"Wake up? It's possible," Alexi didn't soften any blow, "it would depend on how much she was still under his sway. It's been a long time since they functioned as partners in any sense and even longer since Tristian ordered her to do anything… who explained all that to you?"

"Different people. What does that even matter?" Castiel couldn't stop the bite he had to his voice.

Alexi shrugged and brushed the back of his hand against Lucia's forehead. They stayed in that room for awhile before Royce came in.

"Tristian is here," he said.

Castiel jerked and Alexi straightened up. "Speak of the devil and he will appear." He muttered, "and what about Micah?"

He spoke the name slowly and carefully. Castiel looked up in time to see Royce's face fall, indecision and hesitancy coming across his face as he shook his head slightly. Alexi sighed and went to wrap an arm around him, tugging him from the room.

"I'll send Tristian in."

The older man came in after five minutes of painful glaring at the wall on Castiel's part. He was more than aware he wasn't the only one grieving for Lucia right now. But he didn't want that man near her more than necessary. This was the guy who had twisted her until she couldn't function before.

Not to mention the guy just looked evil in Castiel's opinion, which he considered to be excellent. Tristian had black hair that was dark as night and the light it reflected was a dark purple color. The crimson eyes were somehow more sinister that Lucia's or the other Advanced he had met lately. Even the crazy Aria chick had easier to digest eyes than this one.

Tristian gave nothing. There was no emotion in his eyes even as he looked at Lucia, a girl he had been responsible for since years ago.

"She hasn't moved has she?" He asked and his voice was just as Castiel remembered, neutral and monotone.

"No."

"Alexi says you think I could order her to wake up. You give me too much credit over her actions."

Castiel bit his tongue. It wouldn't do Lucia any good if they ended up fighting over her bedside.

"You on the other hand have more control over her than I could swing."

"What?"

Tristian was busy lighting a cigarette. Much as he hated the guy Castiel accepted the offer of one and the light. According to what Royce and Alexi had mentioned there were similarities between Castiel and Tristian. He guessed he could kind of in a way sort of see it.

"She trusts you," Tristian said, 'to the point she'll stay with you even when she's hurt. She'll even let herself be cornered by Micah to keep you happy."

"I didn't ask her to do that!" Castiel snapped angrily.

"And I didn't accuse you of that. I'm saying that nobody knows the old Lucia like I do. Just like nobody knows the Lucia she was without her memories like you do. We're dealing with a new version of her.

But one thing I can say with certainty is Lucia, whichever version, knows her own body limits. She decided to push herself in order to not worry you. Otherwise she would have stayed away when she was hurt initially."

"I'd have rather her hate my guts then," Castiel said.

Tristian gave him a fleeting smile. 'I wouldn't want that. She used to kill people she hated even without my say so."

"Comforting," Castiel mumbled.

Lucia shifted suddenly on the bed. It wasn't much, just a small twitch. It was enough to have Castiel bending over her again, grasping her hand. For the first time there was a small grip back, small pressure against his palm. He looked so hopeful Tristian didn't have the heart to tell him that small twitches were common in comatose patients.

Days passed swiftly. Lysander and Rosalya went to school. Alexi did on occasion but only to gather up Royce and Castiel's work. They never finished it. He also started his project with the boy who had a similar name to him.

Alexi had known him through Lucia. So he was prepared to dodge shopping expeditions and questions about Lucia's absence. It was convenient that she and Castiel hadn't been shy about showing off their close relationship. It made for the perfect excuse to hint around so people would believe they were just being delinquents.

Then again after he saw the principal blow up he wasn't sure if he actually did them any favors there.

Tristian had gone off again to hunt for Micah. He and Castiel had reached an uneasy truce. They didn't necessarily like each other but they could be tolerant.

"I'll always love Lucia," Tristian had commented, "but being in love with someone and just loving someone are two very different things."

"And which one are you?" Castiel had been quick to snap.

"I love the idea of who she and I used to be. I can't reconcile my image with this new girl and it's the same for her. With that in mind, you're the one more equipped to command her than I am. Or ever was really."

The only issue was Castiel had no desire to command Lucia. He wanted her to be capable of living on her own, making her own decisions. Even if she wanted nothing more than to go and kill people for a living.

"This is all my fault," Royce muttered to Alexi after Tristian had left.

"Micah's actions aren't under your control. They never were," was the dry retort.

"And if this was your real partner?" Royce demanded and grabbed the book Alexi was studying.

Alexi gave him a look of annoyance and tried to grab it back. Royce sat on it. He smirked in victory when Alexi tossed him a disgusted look.

"I'd be happy," Alexi snapped, "if only to kill him."

Castiel listened to them bickering without comment. It was unsettling just how normal it felt to be listening to people talk about killing so casually and know they were serious. He wished Lucia was awake so he could tease her about it. There was no way she could resist rising to the bait he laid out.

But she kept sleeping. It was wrong but he couldn't help but feel like she would sleep even if he were to crush the hand he held like an eggshell. He could have battered her to the point of death again and she wouldn't make a sound. The little twitches she did had stopped exiting him days ago.

At the very least she was functioning on her own. Her body had produced enough blood to be allowed to be taken off most of the machines, including the one that pumped her heart. That had felt like a major victory. It had palled though when that was the only change.

In a way he supposed it was nice to see her without a bunch of machines and wires hooked into her flesh. This way it was like she was just sleeping instead of in a coma.

He was more aware than he wanted to be that there was a chance she wouldn't wake up. It was a chance he was planning on disregarding. Statistics and other cases weren't going to be allowed to color his opinion. Only time could do it and he planned on sticking around for a nice long spell of it.

"You're starting to get even skinnier," he commented to her lax form one day when it struck him.

He hadn't even noticed until now. They fed her through a tube two times a day which was generally more than Lucia ate when she was wandering around. Her body was still withering like a leaf.

Worry coursed through him. This would all be useless if Lucia was dead through starvation.

"And Alexi is running out of excuses for our absences. Not that you care little rebel," Castiel tried to instill a teasing note into his voice. It came out choked and forced.

"And about what I said when you were bleeding. It wasn't supposed to come out like that. I wasn't too sure anyway. I mean with how difficult you are and this relationship is I didn't know really how far it had come.

And is what that guy said true Lucia? If it is then I don't want you at all. I don't want you to get all submissive with me."

Silence greeted him but she did sigh and there was a small pressure on his hand that clutched hers. Castiel glanced at her from under his lashes and let out a breath. There wasn't any point talking to her like she could hear or understand.

His eyes closed, ignoring the tenseness of her hand and arm.

"Quit taking so much credit over me. Idiot."

His eyes snapped open again to look at Lucia. Her eyes were slightly opened. He had never seen such a peaceful expression on her face.

His mouth fell open but all he could do was gape with wide eyes. As though she knew and understood she pulled her hand away from his… to pet his head.

"What a noisy boy you are," she said with a small glare.

"The hell you think you're doing?" He snapped, grabbing her hand again and gripping it tighter.

Lucia smirked at his faint blush. "You and the others, every hour of every day. Waking me up and being all mushy."

"Don't complain! You had us all worried sick!"

Then he caught up to what she was saying. "You were awake?"

Lucia turned her head to look at him better. "Vaguely. I couldn't make my body move though. I tried opening my eyes or telling you guys to shut up but it didn't work apparently."

"So sorry we were annoying you," Castiel said sullenly.

Lucia squeezed his hand with real pressure, the pressure only someone awake and aware could return. "Of course it annoyed me, you most of all. I told you I wouldn't die, didn't I?"

"Yeah. But there are some things that nobody can avoid," he returned and she shrugged.

"I'm not a nobody, I'm an Advanced. Our bodies handle trauma a bit differently."

"Yeah they're handled with less care," Castiel muttered.

Lucia looked at him with a serious expression on her face. She tugged insistently until he released her hand and then she placed both hers gently against his cheeks. The cues were all there so he leaned forward.

There weren't words to describe his shock and annoyance when she suddenly squished his cheeks together then pulled them tightly apart.

"Cute as this is, Cassywoo being worried about me I like your sullen face better. It's more natural," She said with a smile, "or another blush would do well for my soul."

"You damned idiot!" He growled and pulled away. "That hurts!"

"Careful I'm an injured person," she said.

Castiel couldn't breathe for a moment. There had been a few days that he had believed this was gone. And this time with certainty. If she hadn't have woken up then he would have been left without her. Even though they were both young and he'd done it before he didn't want to imagine what he would do if she really died. Especially with his last memories of her being bleeding on a roof and then wilting in a private room.

So he was willing to handle being annoyed by her. He was certain there would be plenty of frustration worse than this in his life. He would bet that she would give him a heart attack sooner or later.

He had to be insane. Any minute now the men in white coats would come to commit him. Hell, Castiel was half tempted to save them the trouble and check himself in.

There was a smile on his face when he finally dipped his head down. Lucia raised her own to accept the kiss. This kiss was meant to be gentle despite the insistent pressure they both gave. This was the kiss that affirmed, really drove home the point she was alive and back with him.

When she brought her hand up to slip under the back of his shirt he pulled away a little.

"Remember you're an injured person," he taunted her.

He lifted his thumb to trace her lips and she couldn't resist biting down in retaliation.

"Remember I'll put you in a bed next to me if you don't hurry up," she retorted.

"Sure. But you know there are better ways to get me in bed."

"I absolutely hate you. It's official now."

"I don't believe you," he mocked her gently with another kiss.

"Speaking of that… I remember what you said, before I passed out."

"Before you died," He corrected with a grimace.

"Whatever. Castiel I can't say that to you. Not yet and maybe not ever."

It was ridiculous to feel rejected. With the way Lucia was, the components that made her up he should have expected and been waiting for such a statement to tumble from her lips. Still that was the sting that whipped across his heart. She was pushing away and distancing again and all because he hadn't been able to keep his mouth shut, had been caught by the trap of death, and had allowed that fear to lead him.

Such a thing couldn't be appreciated or understood on anything above an intellectual level by someone with her teachings. To her this near death experience had been a bump, a mere blip on the radar. It was disgruntling to think of how many similar situations had been played out with her at its center or someone else he knew now, how long it had taken them to become desensitized beyond feeling more that a momentary sense of loss.

"But I still want to stay with you," she murmured, pulling him close again.

It was an ultimatum. Take her as she was and hold a small kernel of hope or cut ties and mourn for what could have been until something else presented itself to him. That there could be something else, someone else that was capable of monopolizing him or cutting him to ribbons wasn't feasible. There had only ever been two women who mattered to him, Deborah and Lucia. A third one would be hard to imagine.

He didn't want to go for the whole 'third times the charm' when he felt like what he had with Lucia would be consuming.

And besides if he did give up now who knew what the next one would be like?

Castiel pulled away again and she huffed. "You know this hurts worse than the actual fight did."

"Mmm-hmm."

"You know I just want-"

"Sex? Yeah I got that loud and clear," he deadpanned with a devilish grin.

"Not just sex," she tugged his hair sharply, "though I'm willing to settle until you deem I'm fit enough to handle you."

"So you're gonna put it on me huh?" He kissed her cheek teasingly.

"Of course. That way you'll know why you're suffering," her grin was purely demonic.

Before he could retort the door was swinging open. Alexi and Royce were there.

"Hey guys."

Royce actually squealed and ran to envelope her in his arms. Castiel had to move back or get caught up in it. As much as he loved being close to Lucia he didn't want to be under another mans arms, no matter how much he could question the mans masculinity at random moments like now.

"Are we interrupting," Alexi asked as he stepped up as well. Lucia took his hand and gave a self suffering sigh.

"No, Castiel won't be naughty with me."

"Just put it all out there," he muttered.

"It's alright. We're all a family here." Royce slapped him on the back while Alexi rolled his eyes.

"That would make this a very sick arrangement on all our parts," Alexi snorted.

"Would that make Castiel the adopted brother?" Lucia wondered aloud.

"He doesn't look like us," Royce agreed.

"You guys are insane," Castiel shook his head.

"Why do I put up with any of you," Alexi commented dryly.

Things settled after that. After an hour or so the other couple departed, Alexi citing he needed to do his work and Royce claiming Alexi was too cute to wander the streets alone. The last Lucia and Castiel saw the blond male was being snapped at by Alexi, who had been teased one time too many that day by his lover.

"They're a handful," Castiel commented. "I sent a text to Rosalya and Lysander. They'll be by tomorrow. Think your ribs can handle it?"

"Funny, ha, ha, ha," Lucia sniffed delicately, "if you're so worried then maybe we should run a test drive."

"I listen to the doctor Shooter. He said no straining yourself for a couple weeks."

"You can do all the work," she offered.

They bickered for a while, Lucia in a half hearted way. He wondered about the almost lethargic way she was acting suddenly. When she closed her eyes in the middle of a sentence he grabbed her hand tightly.

"I'm not dead or dying," she yawned, "I'm tired. Take a nap with me?"

Castiel wouldn't admit that he let out a breath as relief went through him. It would be a long time before he could see her sleeping and not have a moment of panic settle into his stomach. It was an icy pit that made his muscles clench up.

Lucia edged over until there was room for him to slip next to her. Her head nestled against his chest as he wrapped her in his arms, her head a familiar weight on his arm as he felt the equally familiar texture of her body against his own. It had been so long since he felt it.

There wasn't a minute between it before she was asleep. He knew because she always slipped a leg over his and grabbed his shirt as soon as she fell into the void.

His own sleep took longer to come. He was too absorbed in feeling her breath against his neck, too intent on watching her breath rise and fall in her chest. These were signs of life and he relished the signs in her as much as he was glad he still had them. And now he had tangible poof she hadn't lied to him again. She had woken up.
