I...don't want to leave you guys...I was so reluctant to write this chapter...Why... It's because everything has to come to an end...

Well, I'll stop whining now... I'll brood later! This is the epilogue, the official last chapter, and the ending of this story! Honestly, I don't know why I'm sad about this. After this, it's 'Mute Love'. The one I have been itching to write, but that might be out in at least a month or so. I really have to go work on my other stories, which I have sort of been neglecting, so yeah. And sorry for the late update! I will explain myself at the end.

So, enjoy! :)

~Six Years Later~

A raven haired man stood near the airport gates, leaning against the windows and dressed in black jeans, a black turtleneck with a white winter jacket over it. A black beanie was placed on his head, leaving his raven bangs hanging out. His hands were in his pockets while he once again had to push the accursed glasses up the bridge his nose.

His mother just had to notice that he couldn't see from far away very well. He actually only needed them when he had to see far away or read, and since he would be reading signs and stuff here, his mother forced him to wear them.

Stupid eye doctors.

Sighing, Lelouch took out his phone and looked at the time. C.C.'s plane should be here in a couple minutes. And he really wished she would get there soon. He was tired of girls batting batting their eyelashes at him or 'accidentally' bumping into him.

After a couple of minutes, he turned to the window and saw the exact plane he was waiting for begin the landing process. He always tried to figure out how he managed to live six hours away from her for the last six years.

After C.C. had settled in Osaka, she had visited every two weeks. Even if their was some kind of dilemma, the stubborn woman would find some way to get there one way or another. But slowly, her biweekly visits had turned into every four weeks, and he was not happy about that. He had managed to keep calm about the whole situation, though, because he understood that she had started to become busy.

But then, sometimes he hadn't looked forward to her visits because she had occasionally brought Raja with her. Every time he saw that long thick black hair in a braid over her shoulder, medium brown skin, and hazel eyes, he swear he wanted to jump off a cliff.

Raja was a girl from India that C.C. had met in her new school a few years back. She was like the devil in a teenage girl's body and sent from hell to give him eternal torture.

The first time he met Raja was when C.C. came for one of her (original) biweekly visits. He had introduced himself with his smile that usually knocked girl's off their feet (not that he was trying to do that), and at first, Raja did respond cutely like any normal girl would. But the moment they got back to his house was a different matter….. that little she-devil immediately started pranking on Lelouch. She would put spices in his coffee, cut holes in his pants, and would leave his bathroom a mess and then pretend like she wasn't even the one in there. After a while, Lelouch had gotten sick of her jokes and confronted her. The only response he was able to get out of her was: I have no idea how a sap like you managed to make C.C. fall for him.

So she doesn't think him worthy of C.C.? Geesh, overprotective much? Besides, all that mattered to him was that C.C. seemed to think he was worthy. Anyways, before Lelouch got the chance to kick her out, his girlfriend figured out what was happening, and forced the two to make up. Lelouch only agreed because C.C. was friends with this woman. And he got the feeling that Raja had the same line of reasoning. After that, they left each other alone, which was just fine with him. But that didn't stop the same process from happening every time Raja came with C.C. for a visit…...

She didn't like him and he didn't like her.

It was good to know that the feeling was mutual.

Lelouch looked over at the gates and saw people filing out the boarding tunnel. It was a good five minutes before he saw the green haired woman he was looking for. She was dressed in skinny jeans, black winter boots, a red, long sleeved turtleneck dress, and a short black coat over it. Her long hair fell over her shoulders in green curls and had a red headband in it.

For a twenty-three year old, she still managed to look cute without even trying.

…...

C.C. filed out the boarding tunnel, annoyed at the people who had been taking their time as they made their way down the passageway instead of walking at a faster speed. Maybe she should have taken the first class plane like her mother offered... The guy next to her kept trying to flirt with her. He better be glad she hadn't decided to feel sick then, since she honestly was sick earlier that morning.

Lelouch had said he would be somewhere around the gates to pick her up. She smiled to herself, happy that she would finally be able to fulfill their contract they made all that time ago. Where they would be by each others side one day. She would be able to be with him permanently. Forever.

Shaking out of her thoughts, she searched for the familiar amethyst eyes that she knew only her warlock had. She was sure he would be out in the crowd somewhere, but then again, Lelouch didn't like crowds.

C.C. sighed and crossed her arms. "He's late, isn't he?"

"You know, my beautiful witch, I've been here for almost an hour. Quite far from late, huh?" A deep voice spoke up from behind her while long arms snaked around her waist from behind.

The green haired woman smiled. "I guess I shouldn't have doubted you since you never were a person who came to an appointment late."

Lelouch nuzzled her hair, making the woman wonder when he started liking public affection. "Hmm, I wanted to be here when my witch arrived. Is that wrong?" the raven haired man asked playfully.

"It is if you didn't bring a pizza with you," C.C. said, turning around to him.

Lelouch gave her a flat look, tightening his hold around her waist.

"I'm joking," C.C. laughed, moving his bangs out of his face. She noticed his outfit, looking him and down, and said with a smirk, "When did you get so fashionable?"

"It's freezing out here. Do you want me to become an icicle?" he asked, gesturing to the light snow outside the window. "And apparently my mother thought it was an outfit so well put together, she took a picture and said I should start modeling."

"What were you doing at your mother's house? Don't you have an apartment?" C.C. asked, raising an eyebrow. She hoped he had been able to pay the rent.

"I had to watch Kana last night because my mother and father had to go out. Honestly, it was on such short notice, the minute I got there, she was shoved into my arms and my parents were out the door." Lelouch explained, not happy that he was stuck in his parent's house all night while the two got to have fun. Still, his six-year old sister was awfully cute. He could never deny those wide, purple eyes.

"Weren't Nunnally and Rolo in the house?"

"Nunnally was doing school work and didn't want to be bothered, while Rolo... Well, Rolo was doing who knows what, which, by the way, I'd rather not know about," Lelouch answered. "So, I was the only available one."

C.C. chuckled at the short story and pulled away from her boyfriend's arms. "So, how's your restaurant coming along?" she asked curiously.

"Still in construction," Lelouch answered his girlfriend with a sigh. "My father said he wants to name it. Should I trust him with that?"

"Knowing your father, I'm sure he can come up with something good. Your family might be loud and obnoxious sometimes, but they're very smart and charismatic people."

"I wonder sometimes..." Lelouch mumbled, looking down at his phone.

"Hey, I have something I need-" C.C. started, tugging on Lelouch's sleeve, but was cut off by Lelouch.

"C.C., we need to go. Around this time is when the airport gets crowded. And we need to go get your luggage."

C.C. pouted mockingly and crossed her arms. "Can't we just stay here? I want to be with you for as long as I can before we have to see everyone else. We never get any privacy."

Lelouch laughed and grabbed her pale hand. "That's usually me who's complaining about not being able to get any privacy, but really, there's a place I want to show you."

"Can we drop the luggage off at your place first? My fingers are killing me from endlessly playing the piano last night at one of my mother's dinner parties. I seriously can't feel them right now." The green haired woman wiggled her fingers for emphasis.

He raised an eyebrow suspiciously, knowing his girlfriend had told him this story plenty of times before to get out of carrying bags and other heavy objects. "Before I agree, I have to know. This is one of your lies to get out of carrying something, isn't it?"

Golden eyes started to roam the airport innocently, avoiding her boyfriend's face. "Now why would I do that? Besides, you didn't even give me a welcome back present, so of course I shouldn't have to carry anything," she smirked.

"And what was the welcome back present supposed to be?"

"Pizza."

"Sometimes, I wonder why I'm even with you," Lelouch mumbled, stuffing his hands in his pockets and walking the other way.

"Because you love me, I keep you sane, your mother adores me, and another long list of stuff I can't name right now." C.C. smirked, latching on to his arm. "But I'm serious about the pizza," she deadpanned.

"Selfish witch."

"I love you, too, Lelouch."

"You translate my words well."

…...

"How long are you gonna keep me out here?" C.C. grumbled, pulling her coat closer to keep herself warm.

Lelouch had taken them to some place he said he found a couple of months ago. In front of C.C.'s gaze was a big snow covered field with a small bridge to get to another side. The place looked very enchanting, especially with all the snow. She would have been in awe of she wasn't freezing to death.

"Not long," he chuckled lightly, noticing her pull on her coat. Walking behind her, he grabbed her hands from behind and wrapped his bigger ones around hers.

The green haired woman was surprised at the warmth of her boyfriend's hands. "You're warm..." she said softly, leaning back into his chest. He had to be immune to the cold to be this warm.

"Hey, C.C.," Lelouch started quietly. "You know I love you, right?"

"Yeah, I know," she smiled.

"Are you wearing the promise necklace I bought you?" the raven haired man asked.

C.C. was starting to wonder why he was asking all these questions, but answered, "I am. I wear it all the time so I don't think you need to make sure I wear it."

"And when I gave you that," Lelouch started, "I told you that you were forever promised to me. That I would never leave you and I would make sure you never left me."

As cheesy as those words were, C.C. had to admit they made her blush like a middle school girl when he had given the necklace to her five years ago - and they still did. She wanted to know where Lelouch was going with this, though. He usually wasn't so... so sweet with his words.

C.C. gave a small nod. "It was after your graduation ceremony from Ashford. I remember when you took out the box with the necklace, your mother thought you were proposing to me. How can I forget something that amusing?" She couldn't resist letting out a small smile at the memory.

There was a soft puff of air as Lelouch chuckled. "If my mother were here, I bet she would do a victory dance," Lelouch whispered in her ear while he placed his right hand in his pocket. "Because she would be right this time."

"Hmm?" a light blush spread across the green haired woman's face as she was beginning to realize what he was getting at.

Taking an small black box out of his pocket, Lelouch flipped it open and held it in front of C.C.

"C.C., will you marry me?"

A soft gasp escaped C.C.'s lips as she looked at the simple and elegant diamond ring in front of her. The band was made out of simple white gold, and when C.C. looked close enough, she could see the letters WxW.

It took her a moment to realize what they meant, but it soon came to her: Witch x Warlock. She was so shocked, all she managed to stutter out was, "M-Marry? You want to marry me?"

"Of course," Lelouch smiled, coming in front of her. "I would never want to marry any other girl."

C.C. furrowed her eyebrows. "I know that, but are you sure you want to get married? After everything I've done to you. Smart comments, endless teasing, telling the others embarrassing stuff you did, stealing your credit card for pizza... and you.. Are you really sure?" she asked, still slightly shocked.

Lelouch rolled his eyes, knowing C.C would find some way to ruin the moment. "Yes, C.C. I thought about it myself, and I'm very sure I want to marry you."

"But Lelouch-"

"C.C., will you marry me?" Lelouch asked once again, cutting the woman's sentence off. "I love you and I think I can tolerate living in the same house with you for the rest of my life. I mean, I was able to tolerate you for all those years of dating and even before we ever got together."

Though those last words sounded annoyed and cold, C.C. was able to hear the hidden warmth and affection behind them. With a smile slowly spreading across the woman's face, she grabbed the box out of his hand and gave him a nod. As she responded, her signature smirk crossed her face, though this time, there was a certain sincerity underneath. "Yes. Of course I'll marry you. After all, a witch could never marry anyone else but her warlock."

At this, Lelouch immediately pulled her into his arms. The chaste contact of lips quickly turned into a passionate kiss, as his hands fell to her waist and held her to him. Their mouths and tongues explored each other in a familiar pattern. C.C. deepened the kiss, and Lelouch couldn't help but let out a low moan at the irresistible taste of his fiancee's lips. He never could get enough of her. She always managed to pull him in deeper and deeper.

Before things could go any further, C.C. gently pulled away, and rested her forehead against Lelouch's. Her smile as she looked into his eyes was practically radiant this time.

"Oh," the green haired woman spoke up silently, suddenly remembering something. "I have something I need to tell you,"

The raven haired man groaned. "If it's about the pizza again, for the last time, I'm not buying you any."

"It's not pizza, Lelouch," she chuckled.

"Then, what is it?"

"Since I don't have any way to tell you this, I'll do it this way. Here," Grabbing Lelouch's hand, C.C. brought it to stomach, hoping he would get the hint.

"What?" Lelouch rose a confused eyebrow.

"Do you feel it?" she asked.

It took Lelouch ten full seconds to realize what she meant. His eyes widened in realization as he looked down at her in shock. "You're... You're pregnant..." he managed to choke out.

"With our baby," she finished for him.

"How long?" It seemed like even those words were hard to muster out.

"A month and a half." C.C. answered. "When I went to the doctor, he said I just got my symptoms early, but most women do find out about four to six weeks, so yeah."

Lelouch gave a small nod, still in quite the shock at the news he just received. He didn't mind, but…. Oh god, his family. His father will start saying something about being a man, his mother will squeal until his ears bleed, Nunnally would be excited about being an aunt, and Rolo…. well, Rolo probably wouldn't care either way.

"Can we not tell anyone?" Lelouch asked, knowing it was futile anyway.

"You know we can't do that," C.C. chuckled, rubbing her hands together.

"I wish," Lelouch muttered.

"I'm not being like Kallen and Gino who kept quiet about Takeshi and only let us know when she was five months along and finally starting to show," C.C. said. How could they do that?

"They're married."

"And we will be..." she trailed off.

"In three months, but it still makes no difference, woman," Lelouch mumbled.

"But it will. Because Kallen and Gino married and had a child from love, I'm marrying you for benefits." Her eyes twinkled mischieviously.

Lelouch pinched the bridge of his nose. "Don't even, witch. I already know what you're going to say. I don't need you to list them."

"Aww… You're not even gonna let my try?" C.C. whined mockingly, poking him in the chest. "How mean can you be?"

"I'm not mean. You just annoy me like there's no tomorrow, which thus causes me to lose my temper," he said under his breath. "You're twenty-three now. I thought you would have grown out of that stage by now, but you still act like the evil witch I knew when you were sixteen."

"It's not like you've grown out of anything you should have. I mean, you're still the overprotective older brother you were a couple of years ago, but this time, the person you're protecting isn't your sister," C.C. shot back, crossing her arms.

Lelouch shrugged, knowing exactly what she was talking about. "I just think that Shirley dating Mao isn't safe. He only got out jail a year and a half ago, but you never know what happened while he was there."

"He was allowed to send her letters, Lelouch. Besides, I can trust Mao now, and I know he won't hurt her," C.C. assured him. "You just worry too much."

Lelouch put his arms around her shoulders and leaned his forehead against hers. "It's true. I do worry a lot. About Nunnally, Shirley, Rollo, my parents, and now even Kana. But most of all, I worry about us. Our future. What if I can't protect you again when I need to? What would I do if you were gone?"

Seeing the strained look in Lelouch's eyes, C.C. attempted to sooth him. "Lelouch, you know that I'll always be with you. I'll never leave you…. we promised remember? And you have protected me. In ways that you'll never know."

Shocked to hear such heartfelt words from C.C., Lelouch turned to her and pressed a sweet kiss on her lips. "Thank you for that," he sighed. He looked away as his eyes glazed over. "You know, I sometimes wonder what my life would be like without you. If you had never come looking for a job, my old restaurant would still be quiet like it had always been. I would probably be in a relationship with Shirley by now…. or maybe not. Either way, I would have never found out what it is to truly love someone."

Lelouch smiled at the thought. "And you wouldn't have such good friends, so I guess we're even in terms of who changed the other's life more."

As she walked in the shop, the raven haired man stopped her. "Do you need something?"

"Well," she started to explain, "I need money, and since I need a job and also love pizza, I thought I would look for a job here. Even if you are not hiring right now, I need money to live."

...

"She was here yesterday, too. This is C.C., a new employee."

"I'm C.C. Please be good to me," she said, bowing stiffly. C.C. wasn't really the person to introduce herself to people. If they asked for her name, she would just state a simple "C.C." every time. "My best skill would be... eating pizza, I guess."

Lelouch rolled his eyes at his apartment neighbor.

"Pfft," the brown haired boy laughed.

"Nice to meet you," they both smiled.

"I'm Suzaku Kururgi," the brown haired boy introduced.

"I'm Kallen Stadtfeld," said a red haired young woman.

C.C. smiled back. "I would have never found another family who loved me just as much as mine did. I also would not have found a place that I could find home." she said, wrapping her arms around him.

"C.C., dear," Marianne called, a warm smile on her face.

"Yes?"

"Are you okay? Mr. I-Want-To-Stay-Single a.k.a. my son, told me you seemed down today," the raven haired woman asked in concern.

C.C. shot Lelouch a glare who just shrugged like it had nothing to do with him. He told his mother to see if he could get something out of her. Very sly warlock, she thought. Turning back to the older woman, she sighed. "I'm fine, Mrs. Lamperouge. You shouldn't worry," she assured her.

Marianne bit into a pancake, chewing it before answering, "Okay, dear. Just making sure. I have never seen Lelouch-sweetie worry about a girl before. The only females I have seen him worry about is his sister and cousins."

"I thought I would always be alone. Until you came along." Tears began to form in C.C.'s eyes as she remembered all that she and Lelouch went through together.

"In the process of trying to fall in love with you, though, I... I fell in love with another. In fact, I think I was already in love with this person when we started dating, I just hadn't noticed my feelings for her yet."

The orange haired teen already knew who this person was. She had seen them. She saw they way he looked her, and the way she looked at him. Everyone else may have thought she was blind to it, but she wasn't. She knew who he was in love with. He didn't have to tell her to know.

"It's C.C., isn't it?" she whispered, rubbing up and down her arms. It was starting to get cold, but she didn't care, she only wanted to him the answer to the question.

"Yes," Lelouch answered, looking at her straight in the eyes. He had never felt more guilty when he saw the pain in them.

"I never thought that I would end up falling in love with you," she mumbled, inching closer.

"So, now I bet you think differently of me, don't you?" C.C. asked quietly through her cracked voice, turning her head away from Lelouch.

"C.C., no. I told you, no matter what, I will never think differently of you. None of this is your fault," he told her, wrapping the crestfallen girl in a hug. "I would never abandon something you over something like that."

She leaned her head on his chest and closed her eyes. I'm sorry, Shirley, she thought, But I've fallen in love with Lelouch.

"For my part, I certainly never saw myself as willing to wait six years just to be with someone," he said, leaning in.

"So, this is goodbye?" C.C. asked.

"It's not goodbye. It's only until you come back and visit," he mumbled.

"And it all happened because of my trip to your restaurant," C.C. said softly as her lips lightly brushed Lelouch's.

He looked her up and down first, and then spoke. "Follow me. I also need your name."

"C.C." she replied.

"C.C.?" he repeated. "Just the initials?"

"Yes, um..."

"Lelouch."

"Yes, Lelouch. Just those two initials," she replied.

"Hey, Lelouch," C.C. whispered against his lips.

"Hmm?"

"You'll be my warlock forever, right?"

"As long as you'll be my witch forever."

"I think I can do that," she smirked, pulling back. "And since I'm now able to live with you, I can fulfill my part of our contract. As your witch, I promise that we will live side by side for eternity."

"And as your warlock, I promise to make you happy. I promise to never leave your side and I'll make sure you never leave me again. Because…."

Before he could finish, C.C. wrapped her arms around his neck and pulled him in. As he returned the embrace and pushed his lips against hers, Lelouch knew that this "contract" was different. Because it was no longer just a contract. It was a promise that nothing and no one could break - not even time. An eternal promise.

"Without a witch, there can be no warlock."

It's over! It's done, finished, completed! And so many other synonyms I can't list! T.T

Anyway, I'm sorry for the late update. Almost three weeks it took me to do this chapter. That's because the I literally rewrote this chapter at least five times and that's no joke. I had so many ideas, I would write one of them, then scratch that out, then go write something else... I'm sure you get the pattern. And I'm now studying Japanese, so yeah.

And I would like to thank all the authors who have reviewed/favorited/followed this story, especially my beta-reader, Ghibli Ninja. It made me very happy. I actually never thought the story would become popular. It was far from my mind when I started this story. Also, for a fun hint, I named three of this chapters after a song. Can you guess?

So, I'll see you in 'Mute Love' soon, and for the last time...

Read and Review! :)
