Chapter 25

They could see her taking a deep breath, her long hair spreads across her back.

Ian immediately got up, in his own - calm way, making himself ready, and Dan moved his stare from her and Ian and then rolled his eyes.

She turned around and smiled softly , and she could see she was calm now, though her eyes were stained with tears.

They walked towards her, and she smiled, though she looked broken.

"What's going on, Amy?" Dan smiled at her, and she smiled back, but started crying again, a heartbreaking cry.

"Hey," Ian caught her fast by an instinct, he didn't even think "It's going to be ok," he embraced her, trying to calm her down "I promise you, it's going to be ok."

Dan looked shocked, but Ian didn't care. He put his head aside in her hair, and whispered to her quietly "I know it hurts now, but you are going to feel better. By a fact. Come on," he embraced her harder and she continued sobbing.

For a moment, all he could feel was her.

Now Dan looked angry at him. Ian exhaled and looked at him impatiently, like if he was saying to Dan it was the right thing to do.

Dan looked at him like if he was saying 'you better, cobra.'

Amy let go and started saying "I, I," and Dan hurried to comfort her "Amy, it's ok, we're going now, it's ok." he told her in a soft tone, and she nodded, her hand on her face wiping her tears, and they started walking, leaving the place.

At home, Amy was locking herself in her room, doing god knows what, and everyone else was busy doing their doings.

Sinead was teaching Hamilton how to play checkmate, Dan was talking to Ned and Ted about video games, Madison and Reagen were having a beauty session with Natalie, and Jonah was hearing music in his earphones, smiling to himself occasionally and quietly on the sofa.

Ian was sitting restless and irritated on one of the sofas, after all that happened.

He tried to deny it, after the realization that maybe he wasn't the right guy for her.

But he couldn't - he was worried about Amy.

He didn't know if she was ok. And he knew he shouldn't bother her now, when she is with herself, either. She needed time to process what she had been through. It wasn't easy for her, to say the least.

He could still see the panic in her eyes when they had reached the graveyard, how scared she had looked.

It probably took a lot of bravery for her, to do what she did.

Some why, the thought made him sadder.

Because he had found more good things in the girl he had already fell for.

And he didn't know what their connection even was.

"Kabra." Dan said as he sat next to him on the sofa, his eyes staring at the wall while doing that.

Ian almost rolled his eyes. Instead he just exhaled impatiently "Daniel. Something you need?" his dark-yellow eyes stared at the wall as he titled his head.

"No, Kabra," Dan rolled his eyes and sat more comfortably on the sofa, putting his legs fully on it "I'm worried."

So do I "So there is something you want." Ian looked at him, doesn't miss the chance to make him sound stupid.

Dan twisted his nose "Whatever, Kabra. Anyway, I see that you're in no better condition than I am."

Ian didn't answer, he looked down. What could he say? that was the truth.

Dan became more serious now. The foolish atmosphere was forgotten. "I'm worried about Amy."

Tell me about it. Ian sighed, not trying to deny, looking at the wall "She is supposed to be ok, she is now. She just needs her time."

Dan looked at him from the corner of his eye, a little grumpy "And you know it because you're a Lucian and you are genius when it comes to human beings?"

Ian's corner of mouth twisted a little "Exactly."

"Then guess what, Amy is special." Dan mumble, and Ian tried to improve his hearing "I'm not sure if your Lucian's rules are current about her." he looked like a little brother worried.

Ian looked a little irritated when he looked at him pointedly "She'll be fine."

Dan still looking worried, looked at him with his green eyes "I hope so."

Ian sighed "Look, your sister is strong, a lot stronger than she looks like. She was capable of doing that, she was just scared to death. She just needs her time before she feels better. Now it's just you who needs to stand by her side and be there for her, ok?" he looked at him, his yellow-amber eyes were a little wide "That's all you have to do."

Dan nodded, but suddenly frowned "I never thought Lucians could have understanding and compassion inside of them, are you sure you're Ian Kabra?"

Ian rolled his eyes "Well, Lucians are psychological geniuses. It doesn't have to be about compassion, Daniel." he moved his yellow-amber eyes back to the wall.

Dan smirked, and Ian had just known he was about to tease him "Don't fool me. It's more when it's about Amy for you, doesn't it?"

Ian frowned but then they saw Amy coming down the stairs.

Her hair was long and in its usual special usual color, and she looked beautiful like she always did.

Some why, Ian could feel the relief spreads across him when he saw her.

Just then he understood how worry he had been.

Suddenly and quietly, everyone seemed to gather together. They all saw her coming down the stairs, left their doings, and interested in her when she finally came down, smiling, and Ian felt the relief spreads even better.

"Amy! how you doing?" Madison called and she and Sinead and Hamilton came to her, interesting, and fast she told them she was ok, tired but ok, and that she appreciate everything.

But it didn't stop there, quickly she sat at the table and everyone sat next to the able too, and were talking.

It all went very calm, though.

And Amy thanked god for it, cause at the moment she really couldn't deal with noise or mayhems.

She just sat there, laughing with them calmly, blushing, and having a good time.
