Thanks so much for your reviews! To BridgetLoves-ani, I hadn't thought of doing that, I might as a sequel, thanks for the idea! Since this is the twenty-sixth chapter and the end of To Warm Her Snowed Over Heart is rapidly approaching, I guess I should address the issue that I do plan on making a sequel, though before BridgetLoves-ani's review I had no clue what I'd make it about.

Theme is Give Me Everything by Pitbull.

I don't own the characters or Soul Eater or any music mentioned. I'll stop procrastinating now.

"On the phone."

Maka

I opened my eyes groggily at the sound of my cell phone bleating at me, I groaned and reached for it blindly, my fingers curling around it and I brought it back to me and flipped it open. "Hello?" I asked, still groggy from sleep.

"Maka, its Tsubaki. How come you didn't pick up earlier? This is the third time I've called." Tsubaki asked and I bolted upright, staring at the clock on my nightstand. It's one in the afternoon; I've been asleep for that long?

"Tsubaki, what day is it?" I asked and yawned as I got out of bed and stretched "Day? It's the twenty-seventh, no twenty-eighth. Why?" Tsubaki asked sounded concerned and I glanced at my calendar, seeing that I don't have to work for three more hours, and relaxed.

"Just panicked sense I have to work in three hours." I answered "Don't worry, I'll get there on time." I added before she could say anything and left my room to start a pot of coffee. "Alright, I called to find out if you want to have a girl's day for the next three hours. You free or do you have something planned with Soul?" Tsubaki asked and I frowned, trying to jumpstart my brain without coffee.

I couldn't think of anything I agreed to do with him today, at least with a sleep-logged brain. "I'm pretty sure I'm free, but I haven't got any coffee made yet so I can't vouch on that." I answered rubbing my head, it was throbbing but I can't remember if I had any alcohol last night. I'm not hungover but still.

"Okay, I'll swing by in about an hour, It'll be just you and me, I couldn't reach Liz and Patty, and Medusa answered Chrona's phone when I called to ask." Tsubaki said and hung up just as the coffee was finally ready.

"Thank Shinigami for small miracles." I murmured and quickly poured myself a cup, taking it black before wincing and adding cream and sugar. I picked up the TV remote and turned on the TV as I stirred my coffee, the news channel was the first thing it tuned to. I popped some toast into the toaster and took out the eggs after taking out a frying pan, and putting a small slice of butter in it and turned the stove on.

I grabbed spices for scrambled eggs and the milk, set them down on the counter and drank my coffee as I watched the news.

Nothing terribly interesting had happened while I was sleeping, so I changed the channel. I left a reality show running and returned to cooking, I had gotten the eggs started when I heard a knock on the door. I wiped my hands on a towel wondering who it could be. I glanced at my clothes and noticed that I'm still wearing my dress from last night.

I rolled my eyes at the prospect of still wearing a dress but opened the door to find a postal boy standing there with a brown box in his hands. "Yes?" I asked and he blushed and thrust the package at me "P-Parcel for M-Miss Albarn. G-Good d-day miss." He stuttered and ran off, leaving me with the package in my hands and my eyebrows raised.

"Strange boy." I muttered and closed the door, dropping the package on the table as I went to go check on my eggs. After stirring them around in the pan I walked back over, grabbed the package and walked back into the kitchen as I opened it.

Once I'd removed the protective outer wrapping I found a card, a second box and a letter. I read the Christmas card quickly, recognizing the handwriting almost instantly, its Mom's. I quickly grabbed the letter and read it hungrily as I tended to my breakfast.

My Dearest Maka, I apologize for not being there to see your reaction when you open this, I do hope you get this in time for Christmas, or close enough to think of it as a late Christmas gift.

I haven't written to you in a while, but I heard word from your father that you're dating a young man called Soul Eater Evans, I remember the Evans, I believe went to school with his parents, Pricilla and Rupert.

Normally I'd berate you for dating when you're fourteen, you're still so young, but your father said that you're happy with him so I'll let it slide. I'm writing you this from Spain, I hope to bring here to the little café here one day, you'll love the coffee, it always tastes slightly like dark chocolate.

I hope I'm not being a bad mother by not being there with you, and I'm glad that Blair found someone and is settling down, though I never expected the man she'd eventually pick to be Tsubaki's brother Masamune. Still, I'm happy for you both.

I hope you like your present, Merry Christmas Maka (Even if this got to you a little late).

Love,

Mom

I stared at the last line as I dished up my food and took it to the table, opening the box and pulling out the paper-wrapped object. I pulled away the paper and stared in surprise at what she had sent me.

It's a pair of boots, thick sturdy black work boots, that lace up and has spikes on the sides. I tried them on eagerly and found out that they fir me perfectly, with extra room in case I grow. They reach to the middle of my calf, Mom had perfect timing, my old boots are falling to pieces beyond my repairing skills and what duct tape can do.

I took them off sadly because I didn't have socks on and finished my breakfast quickly. I heard a knock on the door as I deposited my dishes into the sink "Who is it?" I called and heard someone cough "It's Tsubaki." She called and I walked over and unlock the door and let her in "Thanks, you're still not dressed?" she asked staring at me incredulously and I shrugged "I'll go throw something on." I replied and she muttered something under her breath as she plopped down in a chair after closing the door behind her.

I pushed the door to my room open and threw on a pair of dark blue jeans, a simple white blouse, a pair of socks, and a black hoodie on and came back out after brushing my hair and putting away my dress. "Who are those from?" Tsubaki asked watching me pull my new boots on with slight interest as I stood and grabbed my keys and wallet from the counter "Mom sent them to me, late Christmas present. C'mon, let's get going." I answered and swept out the door with Tsubaki, locking it behind me.

Shorter than normal, sorry. I felt like I had to have Kami contact Maka for Christmas, so I did that. Next chap will be longer and up soon(ish). Review please!
