Clay POV (Seven Months Later)
I was sent to the Nightosphere to develop my powers further and to keep me from going all out of control with power again, but another reason is that the last time Primus and I "trained" in front of Glob the other council members aren't happy at all with the result. "Better fighting with these demons rather than that guy". I prepared myself as the demons Hunson sent for training charged at me, I started with hand to hand combat to fight the first few but after a while it gets harder so I mixed some of my powers to the mix. They tried to surround me so I took out a couple with green flames to knock them unconscious and I invaded the minds of the rest to make them unable to attack me.
I removed my influence from them long after they were weakened and with that the demons were very easy to knock out. "That's enough clay, leave their souls intact". Hunson appears and claps while walking towards me. "You utilize you powers well clay, you could be the leader of the nightosphere if you want". "No thanks I don't think leadership is my strong suit, besides glob warned me about you offering your spot". Hunson laughs quickly and he said, "You're even sharp, well it is expected when you're related to Death". "My brother is better than me in every angle". Hunson saw my expression and he quickly changed the subject by asking, "So, anyway, what are your other powers beside that".
I closed my eyes for a moment and after opening it I can see a different view around me, I turned to him and I said, "You're not as evil as people thought you are huh"? "What are you saying"? Hunson asked. I pointed at my eyes and I said, "I can see anyone's aura with these eyes of mine, yours were a bit darker than a usual being but the Lich's is even darker than yours". "Stop looking at me you're making me jealous of the lich". Both of us laughed but as I digest the thought behind his statement a question popped into my brain, Hunson stopped laughing and I asked him, "Hey, you're evil right"? He nodded with confidence so I continued, "Then why are you with Glob and the others, why are you with good people"?
"Because I am the equalizer for the council and I had a slight change of heart when I met someone". "Was it your wife that you met"? He nodded with a sad expression, I felt bad and it was my turn to change the subject. I don't have anything in mind to talk to him about so I challenged him, "Hey how about we see who's the most powerful here in the nightosphere right now". His gloom was replaced with determination and he said, "Well if you can survive I might consider you the most powerful". I prepared myself for our fight and the demons around us began to retreat. "Don't pull any punches alright"? "Be careful what you wish for Clay". He replied.
The two of us clashed with each other and right at the impact the ground rumbled, the mountains were cracking and fires were shooting out of the cracks. Hunson used speed to his advantage, he attacked me relentlessly but I used my aura eyes to predict his movements. He noticed my change in fighting so he made some distance between us. "Real clever Clay, you should stop underestimating yourself". He charged his powers and fired a chaos beam at me, I dodged the beam but the land and some demons behind me weren't lucky enough. I tried to invade his thoughts only to be greeted by a hideous beast inside which forced me out of it. "Not going to happen Clay, I have more powers to show you".
The two of us continued throwing everything we've got and after three hours I surrendered because of fatigue. "More practice Clay, but I got to hand it to you, no one but my daughter could survive that". As the dust settled the view Hunson was pointing at the nightosphere was a wreck, and suddenly primus arrives and he saw our handiwork. "How many more worlds are you going to mess up Clay"!? He was about to hit me but Hunson got in between and he said, "Hey, no hostilities here alright? Anyway I like the new layout of the place". "What are you doing here anyway"? I asked. Primus glared at me and he said, "Glob's requesting us both, our mission is about to start".
Finn POV
Jake and I were trying to outrun a colony of crystal ants, I carried two bags of treasure on my back while Jake has four bags with him. "Go faster Jake they're catching up"! "Why don't you use your powers or something"! He suggested. While maintaining my speed I was able to make a wall but the ants smashed through it, some of them shattered so I continuously made walls to thin them out. As we got outside only a few ants were left, Jake and I tossed the bags to the side and we fought the last of the ants. After finishing them off we loaded the bags on Jake's car and he said, "I'm glad we can still adventure like this Finn". "Of course bro you're my best bud". We high fived each other and we drove away from the dungeon.
"So where are we going next"? I asked Jake. He pushed a button at the dashboard of the car and a video message popped out. 'Jake come to the candy kingdom, you have to transport cargo to the fire kingdom'. It was PB, Jake really became Ooo's official mailman. "Candy kingdom it is then, I'll see Shoko too while we're there". We drove fast and we arrived at the kingdom just in time, we entered the throne room. "Hey PB where's Shoko"? "She's at the garden Finn". I rushed towards the garden and I saw her tending with the flowers, I sneaked up on her and I gave her a tight hug. "Whoa! Finn you surprised me". She turns to face me and gave me a kiss on the cheek.
We lied down at a patch where there are no flowers and I asked her, "How's life here Shoko"? She wrapped her arm on my torso and she said, "Well a little boring but PB knows how to throw a great slumber party". We spent our free time talking about what we did while we were away from each other and after that Jake appears and he said, "Finn I'm finish loading the cargo, I'll wait for you outside". I nodded and he left us alone. "I gotta help Jake on this one. Oh and wear your best outfit tomorrow afternoon, were having a date". She embraced me and gave me a kiss goodbye, "See you around Finn". I went back to the castle entrance and when I got inside the car our ride to the fire kingdom began.
When the fire kingdom came into view Jake stopped the car and he said, "We'll be leaving the car here, the fuel inside can't withstand the temperature even with flame shield". Jake carried the cargo on his back and I jumped in too, Jake then called flambo after getting near the border. He gave Jake flame shield and he asks, "What about you Finn, don't you need flame shield"? "Nah I got mine with me, thanks for Jake's anyway". Flambo happily waved at us while we pass him and after a bit more walk we arrived at the castle. "State your business". The guard at the entrance asked. "We're here to deliver the cotton candy wood for Flame king and her family". "Oh right they've been expecting that, go on".
Inside the throne room was Flame princess and Cinnamon bun, as usual they're busy tending to the citizens so me and Jake stood on the sides waiting for them to finish. "Finn you didn't say that you were going to visit today". Aiden asked when he saw me and Jake, "We're just here to deliver these wood you guys ordered". "Oh yeah just place it there". Aiden pointed at a door and Jake carried it there, after carrying the last of the boxes flame princess was done with her duties. "Hey Finn sorry for making you wait". "Don't sweat it FP anyway how's your day". She hugged me and said, "When you came today you made it better". The two of us blushed and Aiden smiled at the two of us.
FP and I visited her mother grave at the garden and when we got the Flame king is also there. "Hi Finn the human, I hope you're taking good care of my daughter". "No worries sir, I'm prepared to give my life for your daughter". Flame king nodded and he said, "Well I'll leave you two now". He walked back to the castle leaving me and FP alone, "It's the first time I went with you here". I told flame princess. "Maybe now is a good time you meet my mother". "You're right, anyway I know now where you got your looks FP". She gave me a weak slap on my shoulders. "I hope you're not here only for delivering the package we ordered". "Right I remembered there's also a message for you". I kissed her on the lips, after that I said, "Wear your best dress tomorrow evening we're going on a dinner date". Flame princess smiles before we kissed again.
Glob POV
I dismissed the last of the cleaners who fixed the council room, it took them seven months to complete the jobs but it was totally worth it. The place looks just like when I took my first steps inside it, I was waiting for Clay and Primus so I decided to monitor the hall their going from using a camera. When they came into view I saw them talking to each other and their faces filled with tension. "Damn I wish I bought a better camera with microphone". After a few seconds they stopped and began attacking each other, before they tear off the place I decided to remind them what they're here for by opening the door and yelling at them, "Are you going to destroy the place and be banished or receive the mission".
The two of them stopped and walked quietly, they stood in front of me and I looked at both of them. "So are you two going to show up with an attitude like that"? "No". Clay answered. They glared at each other, I noticed and I said. "Listen you two, you guys will be our leverage if we want to defeat the banished guardians and if you two end up fighting rather than train Finn, we won't stand a chance". "Why do you hate me so much anyway"? Clay asked Primus. "Don't get me started Clay". Clay looked at me with a puzzled expression on his face and I just shook my head sideways to tell him not to talk about the past with Primus. "Alright you two, I want to at least see you shake hands with each other".
They complied but with hatred in their faces, "Maybe your student can teach you two to be friendly with each other". I pressed a button and the monitor displayed Finn, he was picking his nose while leaning on a lamp post in the candy kingdom. "Ugh, wrong timing". Primus said while smiling and clay was snickering when he saw Finn. "Anyway, Finn here needs to learn the two kinds of magic you two individuals use. He's a fast learner so you won't experience any difficulty in teaching him". "Where are we going to stay anyway"? Primus asked. "Death presented his house, since Finn and Shoko moved out no one is staying there anymore". I showed them the house and Clay was staring at it.
"No more questions? Well then I wish you two the best on your mission and remember, failure is not an option". "Wait, before we go I need to give clay some rules to follow". Primus said with a serious tone in his voice. "Are you for real man"!? Clay asked. The two of them looked at me and I said, "Well to be fair I want to hear it and I will decide whether he is to follow it or not". "Okay, one, you can't go anywhere without me with you. Two, you can only train Finn under my supervision. Lastly if you pull anything that will endanger everyone, I will ask Glob permission to lift your immortality so I can end you". I rubbed my chin thinking about the rules Primus placed for clay, after deciding I faced them.
"I'll permit rules two and three". "Fine by me". Primus said, but Clay objected. "What if I accidentally misfired my power while teaching Finn, I'll get killed immediately? That isn't fair at all and what if you're busy, I need to delay my lessons? Look if I want to kill you all I could've done it earlier". "Then why don't we have a go right now huh? C'mon let's see if your powerful enough"! the two of them continued their fight and after a while they began throwing punches at each other, I used my power to inhibit their abilities but it didn't stop them from fighting. "You two better cooperate with each other or you'll both die the first time you step on Ooo". I said with a solid voice, I opened a gate to Ooo and I threw the two of them out.
I sent them to the desert of wonders where the goo monsters Betty and Simon froze; they landed on top of a bridge. I stood at a distant building to see what they will do next, they began shouting at each other again but they stopped when they saw a horde of goo monsters fast approaching. "You two need to help each other, now fight those monsters". Clay sat down and Primus scanned the place for any opening but they were totally surrounded, the two looked at each other and they nodded in unison. Primus helped Clay up from where he sat and the two began destroying the horde in front of them. "This might change things; well I'll leave them to it then". I opened a portal back to the council room and left Ooo.
Finn POV
I rummaged through my closet to find the suit dad gave me when he was still alive, after a few minutes of tossing clothes around I found it. I gave it to Jake so he could get rid of some of the wrinkles and he said, "Are you sure it's a good idea Finn? They might be slightly surprised with the venue". "It's perfect Jake; they'll appreciate it when they see it". I put on my pants and I went to the washroom to groom myself. After that Jake gave me my suit and I said, "I'll borrow your car tonight Jake, I need it to pick them up". "Sure, but take care of it okay and don't go to fast you might hit someone or something". "Okay bro thanks, also thank you for helping me out tonight". He gave me a thumbs-up and I went out.
I got out but I forgot to get the keys from Jake so I yelled, "JAKE! I forgot the keys"! He tossed it from the window and I caught it. I opened the door and I sat inside, I started the car and I breathed deep. "Okay Finn, just like how banana man taught you". I stepped on the pedal and the car moved quickly, I first went to the fire kingdom to pick FP up. I went to the palace and I saw her, she looked so beautiful. "I'm the luckiest human on Ooo". "Well Finn technically you are". FP said jokingly, I held her arms with mine and we waved Aiden, Maya, Flame king and her brother as we walked away from the kingdom. "It's so nice for you to invite me for dinner Finn. So where are we going tonight"? "Well it's a surprise".
We drove away back and we passed the tree house, we stopped at the candy kingdom and I asked, "I'll pick up Shoko from here, do you want to come"? "Sure Finn, I don't mind". We walked to the castle and PB was with Shoko, she helped her and when Shoko saw us she said, "Aww you went to her first". I hugged her and gave the two of them a kiss. "Don't be jealous, I went to you first yesterday right"? She smiles and grabbed my other arm. Adam went out and saw us and he said, "Seeing you three reminds me of the past". The three of us smiled but PB was pissed, she grabbed Adam and she said, "Bye you guys have fun, Adam has some forgetting to do tonight". She closed the doors with a devious smile on her face.
"So uhh, let's go now". I said, we got in the car and I started driving. FP and Shoko both sat at the back seat and they're enjoying their chat. I drove us back to the tree house and when we got out of the car I said, "This may look a bit surprising but give me a second and I'll show you two something". I dragged the both to the back of the tree house and I revealed to them my little landscaping project, I made a small pond and a garden with different flowers from every kingdom and village in Ooo and as a result some fireflies went here and illuminated the place. In the middle was a table with food prepared by Jake who right now is playing music with his viola. I looked at the two and their eyes were sparkling.
"You did this for us"? FP asked. I nodded and they both embraced me, we sat on the table and our date began. We ate and talked about our adventures, I told Shoko how I and FP met and when we mentioned Jake's role in our first meeting he felt proud. We continued our dinner date and after that we went to the pond to relax, Shoko rested her head on my lap and FP leaned on my side. "I really love what you did with the place Finn". Shoko said. "Yeah you even have fireflies flying around, how long did it take"? "A couple of months, forming the garden and the pond were easy but the garden took most of the time"... I was busy explaining and FP suddenly held my face and gave me a deep kiss.
Shoko saw us and puffed her face, after Flame princess let's go of me she said, "My turn. Prepare yourself Finn". She wrapped her arms on the back of my neck and she raised herself to kiss me, we kissed longer and I can still feel that she wanted more but suddenly a blinding light flashed deep within the forest the three of us stood up and Jake came rushing from the tree house. "Did you guys saw that"!? He asked frantically. "Yeah the light was so intense, it might be a wizard. Do you want to check"? FP asked. I nodded at them and Shoko said, "Well were coming with you". Jake carried us on his back and we went into the forest to see the source of the blinding light.
Third Person View
The four went to inspect the light that Primus set off from the forest, the two fought their way out of the desert of wonders and is now tracking Finn down. "You should've put some discretion spell with that last one, it almost blinded me". Clay said while rubbing one of his eyes. "You should've brought sunglasses, anyway I don't need to be discrete since I haven't done anything bad". "Finn might have seen your tracking spell in action, we might be able to meet them momen- oof"! Clay was cut off when he bumped into something, it was tall but it wasn't a tree and the color was yellow. "I'll go check it out". Primus said. He flew up and he saw Finn on the back of Jake, "I'll hand it to you man, you know how to estimate time".
"What do you mean by that"? Clay said while holding his head. "Come on up and you'll find out". Clay followed Primus, Finn saw the two of them and he said, "Hey I know you two". "Who are they Finn"? Shoko asked. "The guy on the robe I saw him when I was in deep sleep, What's your name anyway"? "I'm Primus, I'm a light wizard". Finn then looked at Clay and he said, "I saw him a while ago, he taught me how to do this". Finn made a fireball but then it turned into pure nature energy, "So what's your name man"? "I'm Clay, former human turned dark wizard. Brother to death and the vessel of the Lich". Primus hits him with an elbow and he said, "I think you overdid it man".
When Clay looked back Finn jumped from Jake and punched his face, Clay lost his balance and Finn grabbed him and slammed him to the ground. "FINN"! The two girls yelled they went down and Jake shrunk back to his original size, Primus stopped flying to see if his partner is still alive. Finn walked away from the smoke and after that they saw Clay, his neck was bended in an odd angle. Primus helped him up and he snapped his neck back in place, "I won't complain about what you did but know this, I'm only a vessel I let the Lich trick me when I was in my lowest point". Primus gave him a hand in explaining the situation and after hearing it Finn said, "Well if that's the truth, then I'm sorry about your neck".
They walked back to the tree house and Primus said, "You live here huh, these girls must be your sisters"? Clay cleared his throat and pointed out to Primus that the three are different kinds of beings. "Oh they're my girlfriends". Finn said with confidence, Clay fist bumps with Finn and Primus felt bad for mistaking them. Clay retracted back his hand and he looked at Shoko, she noticed him and glared at him. "Anyway what are you guys here for"? Finn asked "We are sent here to teach you our powers". Finn looked at his two lovers and he said, "Yeah that's cool, but why now, I thought I won't be training for another six months"? "There's been a change of plans Finn, the enemy is accelerating their plans".
"So when will it arrive"? Flame princess asked. "We don't know yet, it depends on how long Mars can keep them at bay". Clay answered. Finn and the two girls has concern in their eyes, Jake then stepped in and he asked, "So when will Finn start his training, and who will be fighting with him"? Primus took out a list while clay said, "It's ideal if we start now, the more you learn the less you need to worry about". Then Primus hid the list and he said, "Finn will be helped by us, Death and Hunson Abadeer, not much but we'll get the job done. So Finn, are you going to train now"? "No, give me a week for adjustments". The two nodded and Clay said, "Don't worry Finn they can visit you anytime".
They gave Finn his conditions and schedule, after that the two said goodbye and went on their way. "So we have less time than what we thought huh"? Flame princess said, they began crying and Finn held them in his arms to give them comfort. Meanwhile at death's house, Clay and Primus are talking about Finn's power, "He doesn't look like it but he's very powerful". "Yeah, but I saw Finn and his girlfriends, their souls are linked and one of those girls have massive amounts of spirit power". Clay answered. "Who the fire elemental"? "No the other one, anyway I'm confident with Finn. You have to admit he's the one who took down the Lich". "I guess you're right, well I'm going to sleep. I need my energy back after that goo incident, I'll make Glob pay for pulling that one on us". Primus fell asleep but Clay is busy remembering the past.
Tensions are rising with the enemy's change of pace, Finn will now be training with the two powerful wizards. The momentum of the fight is slowly rising and this will have an effect with the characters surrounding Finn. Anyway I did quite an amount of time skips within two chapters, the reason is that I can't cover three years worth of events with nothing contributed to the progress with the story, So expect the end to be near. Sage Of Wisdom: I think of the new enemy is like the creator of the Lich and when they found out that it's failing they had to come and finish the job themselves, Anyway I won't exclude Finn's gravity powers from the fight, I'll think of creative ways on how he will use his powers in his last fight.
One more thing, this story is ending and I'm currently formulating a new one right now but I'm here to tell you guys today that I will be taking a break once I finish this story, I don't know how long but not too long I hope.
