Chapter 26: Station Square Showdown

[Shadow and Silver's group were making their way to find Sonic's group]
Shadow: Come on you guys, we have to hurry!
Rouge: We're moving as we can!
Silver: Well move faster, our friends are in trouble!
[Suddenly a missile came at them and nearly hit Topaz only for her to dodge it easily]
Topaz: Where did that come from?!
Eva's Voice: Where indeed?
Eva: Hello.
Shadow: Oh great. It's the bitch and her cronies.
Eva: Oh, so you remembered?
Shadow: Indeed. And I also remember that I beat you guys before. It seems you didn't learn your lesson after our first meeting. What makes you think you have a chance?
Eva: Because this time, we got some power.
[The canomutant trio show their enemies that they already have six of the Sol Emeralds shocking both Blaze and Silver]
Blaze: But how?!
Eva: Jaakuna had Sleet and Dingo look all over Mobius for them and now she is given them to us to use to exterminate you pests!
Silver: You won't get away this!
Eva: We'll see about that! All right you dogs, this time show no mercy!
Shadow: Don't expect us to hold back on you.
[He tightens his fists]
Fluffy: (chuckles) Alright! This is going to be SO cool!
Spot: (chuckles) Let's see you beat us now, hedgehog!
Snuggles: (chuckles) Now it's our turn to have fun, mon ami!
Fluffy: And don't expect US to go easy on YOU!
Spot: Ready guys?
Snuggles: Oui! (Yes!)
Spot: Alright then! Power up!
[Back with Sonic and the others, despite their best efforts they were still having trouble with the enemy]
Sonic: Damn, you sure did improve since our last encounter.
Sleuth: You're right about that, hedgehog! I'm not the same weakling I was back then! Can you handle so many clones at the same time?
Sonic: Is that a challenge?
Knuckles: I don't know about you guys! But I've had just about enough of this crap! Let's go or broke!
David: Now that is something I can agree with!
[Amy gets out her hammer while Sally gets out her energy blades]
Amy: If we're going down! Let's do it in style!
Knuckles: Everybody ready?!
[He cracks knuckles and clutches his fist]
Sonic: It's go time!
[They charge at Drago and the enemies. Meanwhile back with the Wolfpack, they were horribly overwhelmed]
Selena: (groans)
Guntiver: Oh man...
F. Marcos: (weak) No! I... Won't... Lose!
Groomer: Lights out for you, kid!
[Groomer zaps F. Marcos with a zapper device, knocking him out cold. This makes Lupe furious]
Lupe: Leave my son alone you bitch!
[Suddenly the Majikku twins appeared]
Purasu: Excellent work, everyone.
Minasu: You managed to beat them. Now let's see who has the shards.
[They go over to Guntiver and search his jacket pockets and grabbed a dozen shards]
Both: Jackpot.
Guntiver: No...
Purasu: Now then, why don't we finish off the alpha female?
Minasu: I think that's a splendid idea.
Lupe: (panting) I may be down. But I'm not out!
[Lupe grabs F. Marcos' sword, and races towards the villains]
Diablo: No! Lupe!
Reynard: Lupe! Don't do it!
Purasu: Such courage. Such determination.
Minasu: But still futile.
[They blast her back with an energy wave]
Lupe: AAGGHH!
Reynard, Diablo and Canus: (simultaneously) LUPE!
Purasu: Let's finish her!
Minasu: Yeah, and then we'll take care of the others.
[Suddenly out of nowhere a blast came at the twins and they barely dodged it]
Purasu: What the hell?!
Parvo: Who dares to interfere?!
[Two figures came from out the fog and it turned out to be none other than Vadi and Vida]
Minasu: Who the hell are you two?
Vida: We are the Kūkyo Twins.
Vadi: And you are going to be history.
Parvo: Us? History!
Groomer: You have no right to interfere in our affairs! Get lost you creeps!
Vadi: That is something we cannot do!
Vida: And the only creeps around here are you assholes!
[Parvo frowns]
Parvo: You dare speak that way to the almighty General Parvo?! I am the future ruler of this world! And all shall bow before me! GET THEM!
[The enemy charges at them]
Vadi: Why is it always the hard way with egotistical bastards?
Vida: Let's just get to work, already.
[They charge at the enemy. They easily overpowered the felomutants with only Parvo, the Groomer and the Majikku twins standing]
Purasu: Damn it. Their stronger than I thought.
Minasu: This is bad brother.
[Parvo and Groomer both trembled fearfully as Vadi and Vida were closing in on them]
Vida: You say you're the future ruler of Earth? I see no future for Filth like you.
Vadi: You deserve only one thing; a punishment worse than death.
[Purasu and Minasu get in between them]
Purasu: Sorry kids, but we can't have you take away their lives.
Minasu: Our mistress still has use for them and their little pets.
Vida: It would be in your best interest not to stand in our way.
Vadi: Leave now, and no harm shall come to you.
Purasu: Oh we'll gladly leave.
Minasu: We have what we want.
[They created a portal and the enemy began to retreat]
Vida: Should we go after them?
Vadi: No. Let them go. We need to help these people.
[The twins look back at the Wolf Pack]
Reynard Jr: Wha?
Diablo: Who... Who are you guys?
Canus: Where did you come from?
Vida: We'll explain later.
Vadi: Right now we need to get you all healed.
[They pull out small bazookas and fire them at the Wolf Pack and Guntiver. Much to their surprise they were hit with blue healing energy and were restored to full health]
Guntiver: Whoa! What was that?
Diablo: I don't know. But I feel much better now!
[The wolves all stretch their arms and legs, feeling energized and full of life. Lupe walks over to Vadi and Vida]
Lupe: I don't know who you two are. But thank you for your help. You saved our lives.
Vadi: The pleasure is ours.
Vida: We're always glad to help. My name is Vida and this is my brother Vadi.
Guntiver: But... (scratches head) Where did you guys come from? And what's your story?
Vadi: Well you see, we are in fact from the No Zone.
Vida: And we have been sent here on a mission to imprison or kill the one responsible for the destruction of Mobius 15 years later from now.
Vadi: We're also here to find and bring back this person.
[Vadi showed them a picture of Drakon]
Selena: Who is that?
Vida: His name is Drakon, and he used to be one of us, until he went rogue.
Lupe: Rogue?
Vida: Yes. Apparently he thought the job he had was starting to get too easy for him, so he left.
Vadi: Drakon isn't a bad person, he just loves a good challenge, and if he is working with the one responsible for your planet's demise then things are really going to start going from bad to worse.
Lupe: This doesn't sound good.
Diablo: Nope. Not at all.
F. Maria: Is there anything we can do to help? Because we're ready to fight beside you.
F. Marcos: Now you're speaking my language, sis! Let's get out there and teach this "Drakon" person a lesson!
[He cracks his knuckles]
Vadi: All we want you to do is try and make sure the other black emerald shards don't fall into the enemies grasp.
Vida: Yeah, leave Drakon to us.
[They leave. Meanwhile with the Rovers, Tsunami and Geist were still battling as were Prowl and Sheng, but Sheng was having trouble beating Prowl]
Clarissa: There has to be something we can do!
Drakon's Voice: Feeling bored and left out? Maybe we can entertain you.
[They all look and see Vlad, Jasper, and Raptor, and with them was Drakon]
Prowl: Who the hell are you?!
Drakon: Oh forgive me, where are my manners? My name is Drakon. And me and my associates here will be keeping you folks occupied.
Prowl: So what's your story, Drakon?
Drakon: I'm just looking for a good challenge. And I think you might be able to provide it. That is if you are done playing with the tiger.
[Akito soon regains consciousness]
Akito: (groans) What happened?
Fenrir: Are you okay, Akito?
Steel: She should be alright.
Akito: I'll be alright Master.
[Drakon noticed Akito]
Drakon: I can't believe I didn't notice the little one there earlier. I take she's with you gator?
Prowl: That's not your concern! If you've come here to fight, then fight!
Drakon: Very well then. Gentlemen, this one is mine. You can have fun with the others.
[Prowl assumes a stance, and so does Drakon]
Prowl: Are you ready?
Drakon: Yes. Let's do this.
[And so the reptiles began their fight. Meanwhile back Sonic and his group, they managed to overpower most of the troops with only Sleet, Dingo, Sleuth, Drago, and Jaakuna left standing]
Jaakuna: My, my. They put up quite a fight.
Knuckles: Damn straight!
Sonic: So, who else wants to receive a good ol' heavy beating?
Jaakuna: Oh that's cute. You think it's over. But sadly, you've already lost.
Amy: Yeah right! You're the only ones left standing!
Jaakuna: Maybe, but I already have what I came for.
[She shows them the few shards that she has]
Manic: What the?!
[Manic searching his side pocket on his belt and found out that half of the shards they had were gone]
Sonia: But how?!
Jaakuna: You think you're barf colored brother there is only one who can steal things without anyone noticing?
Manic: What did you just say?!
[Sonia held him back]
Sonia: Manic, get ahold of yourself.
Mutt: Oh man...
Jaakuna: Boys, why don't you have some fun with them? I have other matters to attend to.
Drago: Looks like you suckers have just been duped! Well, toot-a-loo!
[Jaakuna and Drago left while Sleet, Dingo, and Sleuth stayed behind]
Sonic: Damn it...
[Back with Shadow and Silver's group, they managed to take down most of the Canomutants, with only Eva, and the trio left standing. Shadow's side was pretty worn out but they were still holding their ground]
Serena: I can't believe how tough these guys are.
Typhoon: You said it, girl. These wankers are quite the brumbies.
Eva: So you ready to give up?
Hershey: Like hell we are!
Spot: (snickers) Oh. So unwise.
[Eva looked over to Maria and Hope]
Eva: Eh, why not?
[Eva fired a missile at the two girls]
Maria: (gasps)
Hope: Maria, get behind me!
[Maria did so and Hope activates a shield that blocks the missile]
Chris: Oh thank heavens.
[Shadow turned his attention back to Eva and the trio, and was overwhelmed with rage]
Shadow: You bitch! How dare you try to kill Maria and Hope! YOU'RE DEAD!
[Shadow was now covered with Red aura]
Silver: Oh no...
Blaze: This is bad...
Shadow: DIE YOU BITCH!
Eva: Oh crap!
Rouge: Everyone get out of range!
[The heroes managed to get a safe distance]
Shadow: Chaos... BLAST!
[Shadow released a blast of red energy that blew Eva and trio away. And so they were blown sky high. After which, Shadow began to calm down while taking deep breaths]
Shadow: (panting) Let that be a lesson to you, you cowardly flea bitten scumbags.
[Everyone came out of hiding, even Shira was surprised]
Shira: Remind me not to get on his bad side.
Ripley: You got that right.
Shira: Shadow. You okay?
Shadow: I'm fine.
Hershey: Wow, and I thought Knuckles had a bad temper.
Rouge: Oh his temper is just as bad as Shadow's.
Shadow: Well, now that that's over, we've better meet up with Sonic and the others.
Ripley: Yeah let's go.
[Back with Sonic and his group, Sleet, Dingo, and Sleuth were starting to get worn out]
Sleet: This is not good. They are really giving us trouble.
Dingo: I can't believe this, even with Sleuth on our side, we're still getting creamed!
Axel: Well that's just too bad for you!
[David slammed his foot on the ground and caused an earthquake to come at them. It knocked them back, Sleuth and Dingo got up easily but Sleet was having a hard time with his rotund body]
Calina: I think you need to go on a diet, Sleet.
Stryker: You can say that again, Cali.
Sleuth: (frustrated) Well isn't this just great? Even with my upgrades I still can't beat them!
Stryker: Well, you always were a loser, Sleuth.
Calina: Yeah but now he's a loser with no will of his own.
Stryker: When you give up your free will, you lose your conscience, you lose your soul, and you lose everything.
[And with that, Stryker delivers a heavy punch that knocks Sleuth out cold]
Tails: Didn't they say they brainwashed him?
Tekuno: Yeah they did, so he's doing this against his will.
Stryker: But still... He was a fool to allow himself to fall under these circumstances.
David: You raise a point there.
Axel: So what should we do with the furry bowling ball and his pal?
Stryker: Restrain them until we figure out what to do with them.
Dingo: Sorry mates, but we don't plan to be restrained.
[He pulls out a black ring and it expands into a portal]
Sonic: Hey!
[Sonic tried to stop them but Sleet fired small ice shards at him forcing him to stop as Dingo rolled him into the ring with him in tow. After they went through the ring vanished]
Tanya: Oh great, they got away.
Zeke: Well that was unexpected.
Sonic: So what do we do now?
Knuckles: I think it would be best to regroup with the others.
Shadow's Voice: We were thinking the same thing.
[Sonic and his team looked to where the voice came from and saw that it was Shadow, Silver and their groups. Meanwhile, back with the Road Rovers]
Clarissa: Any ideas?
Roger: I don't know. But Tsunami and Geist are tearing up the scenery around them!
Exile: That may be the least of our problems, comrades! We've got company!
[Suddenly out of nowhere came Vadi and Vida. Colleen assumes a fighting position]
Colleen: Who the bloody hell are you guys?
Vadi: Whoa, easy there. We're on your side.
Vida: We came to help and to bring that komodo dragon back with us.
[She pointed to Drakon who was still fighting Prowl. Prowl and Drakon where both seen grappling at each other's clawed hands, trying to pin the other down]
Prowl: As a komodo, you're quite strong.
Drakon: I could say the same for you gator. I never thought I find a good challenge here, but I guess I was wrong.
Prowl: Well, word of advice; you must never doubt the ability of others.
Drakon: I'll be sure to remember that.
[Drakon gained some leverage and threw Prowl over his shoulders but the gator quickly regained his balance and landed on his feet]
Prowl: Not bad...
Drakon: You're even more skilled than I thought. Tell me what's your name?
Prowl: I am a highly trained mercenary. And the name is Prowl.
Drakon: Prowl. An excellent name. I'll be sure not to forget it.
[And so the two reptiles clash again, and wrestle with each other]
Clarissa: Wow their really going at it like Geist and Tsunami.
Shag: Reah.
[Suddenly Roger began to feel uneasy]
Roger: (thinking) {What's this? Another evil presence among us?}
[Suddenly Drago and Jaakuna appeared]
Jaakuna: Well that's impressive. He sensed us coming.
Roger: What?! How... How did you know?
Jaakuna: I sensed it the moment you detected Geist and Sheng, that's quite impressive.
Exile: Who are you?!
Jaakuna: The name is Jaakuna. Remember it.
Exile: Jaakuna?!
Roger: Careful, Exile! I have a feeling she's dangerous!
Jaakuna: I wouldn't worry about me right now. Boys, I think now is the time for you to have fun with the puppies.
[Jasper and Raptor grinned at the idea while Vlad just stared blankly at his foes]
Exile: Looks like they want to fight!
Hunter: Well, if it's a fight they want, it's a fight they'll get! Come on, Rovers! Let's roll!
Blitz: Time for the biting of tushies!
Exile: Don't be weird boy!
[And so the Road Rovers and the MAS clash]
Clarissa: Please be careful.
[Jaakuna noticed that Clarissa was only with Shag]
Jaakuna: Drago, go grab that human girl. I have plans for her.
Drago: My pleasure! (licks lips)
Clarissa: (gasps)
[Clarissa noticed Drago coming toward her and Shag stepped in front of the wolf to protect her]
Shag: GRRRR...
Clarissa: No Shag, he'll hurt you.
[Drago couldn't help but find it hilarious]
Drago: (mockingly) My, aren't we fierce?
[Shag tries to attack but Drago simply brushes him aside]
Clarissa: SHAG!
Drago: Now, where were we? Oh yes. Come here, girl. Step this way.
Clarissa: Not a chance!
[Clarissa began backing up as Drago was getting closer to her. Fenrir and Steel couldn't take seeing Clarissa helpless]
Steel: We have to help her.
Fenrir: I agree! Akito, stay here!
Akito: Yes master!
[The two tried to go help her but Jaakuna got in their way]
Jaakuna: Going somewhere?
Fenrir: Out of the way, Jaakuna! The woman is not your concern!
Jaakuna: You're only partly correct. She's not my only concern, there are two others that concern me.
[Suddenly Sheng soon regained consciousness and he noticed that Prowl was busy. Though he didn't like it, he decided to get the gator while he could]
Akito: Oh no...
Jaakuna: Geist! Sheng-Long! Capture the other two!
[Sheng came up to Prowl and reluctantly knocked him out]
Drakon: Hey! This was my fight!
Sheng-Long: NO! This is MY fight! He was my partner in crime! You have no business with him!
Drakon: Whatever.
[Drakon was about to leave when Vadi and Vida got in his way]
Vadi: You're not going anywhere but with us!
Drakon: Honestly, do you really expect me to come with you quietly?
Vida: You don't have any choice in the matter.
Drakon: Actually, I do.
[Drakon threw a smoke bomb and used it to escape]
Vadi: Damn it, he escaped again!
Vida: That's the least of our worries right now.
[Vlad pushed back the rovers with his ice powers, leaving Roger to fend off Raptor and Jasper, which resulted in him getting knocked out]
Jasper: There we go.
Raptor: Can we go now?
Jaakuna: Not yet.
[Clarissa was backed up into a wall, then Drago finally got hold of her as she tries to escape]
Clarissa: Let me go!
Drago: (chuckling) I don't think so, missy! You're coming with us!
Jaakuna: Good work boys, now let's go.
[She created a portal and the mutants dragged Prowl and Roger into it, then Drago went through with Clarissa in tow as she tries desperately to escape]
Clarissa: (grunts)
[Jaakuna went over to the portal]
Jaakuna: Geist, it's time to go!
Geist: I have my own means of escape!
[Geist uses his vanishing powers to disappear into thin air and escape. Tsunami, still in his super form, stands in one place looking frustrated and upset]
Tsunami: Kusou! (Damn!)
Jaakuna: Well now, I think it's time I left as well.
[She went through the portal and it closed]
Muzzle: Get back here, damn it! (cough, cough)
[Muzzle clings to his wounded chest]
Exile: Comrade! You dokey okey?
Muzzle: English, Exile. English.
Colleen: Muzzle's in bad shape!
Muzzle: I've endured worse than this, Colleen. Trust me.
Vadi: It doesn't what you've endured. That looks serious.
Vida: Let me help take care of it, I took some first aid classes.
Muzzle: (in pain) And who might you be?
Vadi: We're the Kūkyo twins. I'm Vadi and this is my sister Vida.
Vida: Please, we need to get you patched up. I have the medical supplies needed to do so.
Muzzle: Okay... ARGH!
[The twins came over to Muzzle and Vida began patching Muzzle up]
Blitz: They... They took Clarissa and Roger... And it's all my fault...
[Vida and Vadi look back at Blitz]
Vida: You shouldn't blame yourself. These kind of things happen and we really can't do anything about it.
Vadi: I'd be more worried about why they took her, your teammate and Prowl.
Tsunami: Prowl was once a member of the M.A.S. And since he only recently turned traitor, I imagine his punishment for betraying them will be severe.
Exile: And I bet Roger and Clarissa are in for some bad surprises too.
[Hunter clutches one fist]
Hunter: Well, we better get Roger and Clarissa back with us before it's too late. Now it's personal.
Vadi: I think it would be best for you to regroup with your friends and tell them the news.
[The rovers nodded as Vida finished]
Vida: There, all patched up.
Muzzle: Ugh... Thank you...
Vadi: Think nothing of it.
Hunter: Let's go, Road Rovers. We haven't a moment to lose!
Tsunami: Yosh! Ikimasho! Time to go!
Vida: Yeah...
[They left to go find the others. Meanwhile back with the Wolfpack they finally regrouped with the Sonic and his groups]
Sonic: Is everyone okay?
Colleen: Not at all, Sonic. Two of our own have been abducted by the enemy.
Knuckles: What?!
Vida: Yes the ones you call Roger and Clarissa were the ones the enemy abducted.
[Typhoon noticed Muzzle was bandaged up]
Typhoon: Muzzle, what happened?! Are you okay?!
Muzzle: Geist got me pretty bad... I'm surprised I even managed to survive that...
Serena: At least you're okay. But how are we going to get back Clarissa and Roger?
Typhoon: We'll figure something out.
Tsunami: Yes. But I fear there's not much time. If we are to save them, we must be quick. I have a bad feeling about this...
[Meanwhile, Blitz was in a corner, blaming himself for what happened]
Blitz: So stupid... Why wasn't I there for Clarissa and Roger when they needed me? I could have saved them. But I blew it.
[Hunter and the rovers see Blitz blaming himself]
Knuckles: He really thinks it's his fault their captured?
Hunter: Blitz must be suffering from some kind of stress...
Tails: We need to get through to him.
[Blitz drops to his knees in guilt, shedding thick tears of shame]
Blitz: (crying) No! What good am I?! I'm such a loser!
Selena: He's lost it.
[Lupe comes up to Blitz]
Lupe: Blitz... Blitz...
Blitz: Huh?
[Lupe placed one paw on Blitz's face, and gently positions his face towards hers. She sees his face covered in tears]
Lupe: Blitz, stop blaming yourself. It's not your fault.
Typhoon: She's right mate.
[As Blitz continues to cry and whimper, Lupe embraces him, and comforts him in the best way she can]
Blitz: (sniff, whimper)
Lupe: Shhh... It's okay. There was nothing you could do.
Blitz: I let Roger down. And I let Clarissa down too.
Lupe: No. That's not true. You're a good person, Blitz. You are a much better person than Drago ever was and ever will be.
Blitz: (sniff) You... You think so?
Silver: Of course you are! You've saved Diablo and Reynard from him and Eva when they were in trouble. That proves that you're a better person than him and your asshole brother.
Diablo: That's right, Blitz. We owe you one. You really saved our lives back there.
Reynard: Yeah, what he said.
[F. Marcos and F. Maria walk up to Blitz. And F. Marcos places one paw on Blitz's shoulder]
F. Marcos: Don't get down on yourself, Blitz. Keep your chin up. You still got a lot to do.
F. Maria: Clarissa may still be alive. So don't you worry, we'll save her.
Calina: Not maybe, she is. But you're right about one thing we will save her!
[Lupe helps Blitz back on his feet. And then Tsunami comes along]
Tsunami: Pull yourself together Blitz-san. There is no time to waste. We must act now if we are to save Clarissa and Roger-kun.
Knuckles: Yeah, let's go!
[And so Sonic and his friends rush off to go find Clarissa and Roger. What plans does Jaakuna have for them? Only time will tell]
