I'm sorry to say that not enough people wanted the bonus chapter. I'll still post if it people want, so speak up if you do! But I am not posting it anytime soon.

The next day, Adagio woke up to a rather sickening smell. Sitting up slowly in the bed, she rubbed her head and looked around the room through half-lidded eyes. She blinked a few times, comprehending things for a moment. Finally, her eyes opened all the way, and she jerked her head back slightly. What was that smell? She swung her legs over the edge of the bed, and almost immediately, she was met with a horrid sight. Right in the middle of her carpeted floor was a small pile of...cat feces. Of course, she only guessed in was cat, because...whose else's could it be?! Adagio groaned.

"Sweet Celestia, please no..." She whimpered, holding her head. It was pounding. She sighed aggravatedly and stood up, going over to the supply bag. She rifled through it and got some paper towels and spray that was specifically meant for this kind of situation. Then, at the bottom of the bag, she spotted rolls and rolls of newspaper. That the cat could've used as a makeshift litter box.

Maybe she should have installed that sooner...

With a growl, she shuffled over to the mess and picked it up, wrapping it in the paper towels. She then got a scrub brush from the bag, practically doused the stain with the spray, and began scrubbing. It surprisingly went away very quickly. When the filthy task was done with, she made a look of disgust and put the things back in the bag before taking out the newspaper. Adagio then paused suddenly. Wait...where was the cat? She looked around her room. He was nowhere to be seen. She narrowed her eyes suspiciously before standing up. She walked over to the corner of her room and laid down the newspapers. When that was done, she growled and walked over to her closet. She peeked in and looked around. There wasn't much place to hide in there, so it was obvious from a small peek that he wasn't there. She turned around and bit her lip. She was a bit nervous. When she didn't know where he was, she got anxious, because she knew he was most likely watching her from somewhere she couldn't see. Walking across her room, she looked under her nightstand. Not there either. Maybe he was-

Adagio let out a gasp as a figure darted from under the bed and leapt on her. She fell backwards, hitting the ground hard. She let out a small scream as she suddenly felt claws digging into her legs, but she sat up, despite the pain, and began blindly smacking at what was there. Though it was obvious what it was, she didn't care. All she wanted was to get it off. Suddenly, she felt herself land a good hit on the side of its head, and the pain of the claws penetrating her flesh disappeared. She watched as the cat leapt off of her and lowered itself to the ground, hissing loudly before darting back under the bed. Adagio just sat there, slightly dumbfounded and still trying to comprehend what just happened. Her vision was a bit hazed, and her heart was racing. Finally, she blinked a few times, and her expression turned to one of pure rage.

"YOU STUPID FUCKING CAT!" She shrieked at the top of her lungs, her eyes watering slightly. She dared to glance at her legs. Her eyes widened as she looked them over, seeing numerous deep gashes. Her legs were covered in smeared blood. And as her rage began dying down, the pain began flaring up, and she whimpered as she bit her lip hard. "Sh-shit..." She slowly stood up, and her legs protested greatly. She sighed and glared at her bed. "F-fucking...cat..." She growled, propping herself against a wall. Sweet Celestia, these cuts were deep. She stumbled out of her room and across the hall to the bathroom. A shower should help clear all the blood away and help clean the wounds. She closed the door and started the shower water before removing her nightshirt. With some struggle, she was able to carefully remove her shorts. It's a good thing they were baggy. She sighed and hesitated before stepping into the warm water cascading from the shower head. She simply just sat on the floor of the shower as the water fell on her, looking her legs over again. In her head, she grumbled angrily to herself. As soon as she got out of here, she'd skin that animal. Adagio sighed before gritting her teeth, moving slightly to allow the falling water access to her legs, finally. She hissed in pain as it did, and clenched her fists. So much so, that her nails were digging into her palms, leaving deep indentations in her skin.

After a few moments, she had gotten somewhat used to the pain, meaning it didn't hurt as much now. Well, these cuts aren't going to clean themselves... She picked up the soap and winced as she began thoroughly cleaning them. That cat was going to pay. She sighed as she finally stood up and turned the water off, stepping out of the shower and taking a towel, wrapping it around herself. No sooner had she done that did her bathroom door suddenly swing open, slamming against the wall. In stepped Sunset, a panicked look on her face.

"Adagio, I saw blood in the hallway, and I-" She stopped immediately when her eyes trailed down to Adagio's horribly marred legs. "Oh my god, what happened?!" She asked. Adagio, despite seeing Sunset and being in nothing but a towel in front of her, was too aggravated to take notice or care. She snarled.

"What the fuck do you think happened?!" Sunset put a hand to her mouth.

"He didn't!"

"Oh, he did!"

"...where is he now?"

"Probably under my bed..." She huffed. Sunset looked down and sighed.

"Damn..." She looked back up at Adagio. "I-I'll go get you some clothes, okay? I don't want you going back in there at the moment." Adagio nodded as Sunset left the bathroom, heading into Adagio's room. After about a minute, Sunset came back with a dark purple shirt and black sweatpants, along with undergarments.

"Thanks..." She said halfheartedly as she began getting dressed. Sunset nodded and looked away, giving the girl her privacy.

"Do you, uh...know why he did it...?" She asked.

"No. I was just looking for him, then he suddenly lunged out from under my bed and attacked me like I was a predator who cornered him." Sunset shook her head.

"I just don't get it..."

"Yeah, well...not all of us can be as lucky as Sonata. Unlike that dog of hers, some animals just can't be tamed." When Adagio was dressed, Sunset took her hand and brought her to Aria and Sonata's room. Luckily, the girls weren't in there to see the damage. Sunset then stood up and glanced at the door before looking back at Adagio.

"I-I'm going to go find some alcohol to help clean these up. Then we can get someone to look at that and see if those lacerations will need stitches..." Adagio flinched at the thought, but nodded with a weary exhale.

"Yeah, okay..." Sunset nodded in return before turning to leave, heading into the bathroom down the hall. Adagio closed her eyes and sat on the floor, pulling her aching legs up to her chest. As she gently stroked one of the deep scars, some movement caught her eye, and she looked up at the doorway, thinking it was Sunset. But no...it was not. It was the cat. Standing in the doorway. Giving her the most distasteful of grimaces. Oh, no. Her bedroom door had been left open. He was out. And free to go. But...did she really care at this point? No. Not in the slightest. Did she care that Sunset didn't want to give up on this sorry excuse for a fleabag? Unfortunately for her, yes. Yes, she did. Her eyes widening, Adagio held out a hand, despite her last most unfortunate encounter with this animal, and clicked her tongue, trying to make him come towards her, hoping he wouldn't rather choose to run off. But, as fate would have it, he turned before bounding down the hallway, heading towards the stairs. "Sunset, get him!" She yelped.

"Huh?" Sunset stuck her head out of the bathroom only to catch sight of the cat disappearing down the stairs. "Hey!" She barked, setting down whatever she was holding and dashing after him. Adagio, using a nightstand to support herself, stood up and began making her way to the stairs as well. Carefully, she made her way down and walked into the living room, noticing a strange lack of noise. She stopped in her tracks, her eyes widening as she saw Sunset, Applejack, and Big Mac standing completely still, surrounding a window. Stepping closer, she looked to see that the cat was standing on the window sill. And the window...was open. Adagio bit her lip. The bobcat stood still as stone, half of his body inside, and the other half outside as he stared right back at the humans. Then, without a sound, he turned and leaped from the window, landing on the ground on the outside. Adagio pushed past the others and stood at the window. The cat stood where he was, looking back at her for only a moment, before suddenly taking off at top speed, back to the treeline from whence he came. Adagio sighed.

"And there he goes..." She grumbled. An audible, sad sigh could be heard from Sunset behind her, so she turned to face her. "Sunset, you alright?" The girl nodded.

"Yeah, I just...I wish he could've stayed..." Adagio offered her a reassuring smile as she grabbed her hands, holding them tightly.

"I know, but you have to remember that he's a wild animal. It was highly unlikely that he was ever going to be tame." She shrugged. "It was a gamble, and we lost. We gotta move on." She said, trying not to seethe as she spoke. Good riddance that the oversized rat was gone. Now her life could go back to normal. Sunset nodded, then blinked with a sharp inhale, looking at Adagio's legs.

"Oh gosh, Adagio, your legs! I forgot!"

"Her legs?" Applejack chimed in. "What in the-heavens to betsy, what happened?!" The country girl gasped, taking in the sight of the siren's legs. Sunset sighed.

"Cat got her..."

"Tch...ah knew keepin' him was a bad idea. What in tarnation possessed him to do such a thing?" She asked, kneeling down for closer inspection. "Yikes...these are pretty deep..." Sunset gulped.

"D-do you think she'll need stitches...?" Applejack chuckled slightly, shaking her head.

"Ah doubt it. These aren't deep enough. But...ah imagine that some of them may leave permanent scars. Ah ain't no doctor, but that's from mah personal perspective, and ah've had to deal with injury like this before. But you might want a professional ta have a look at that." Adagio nodded, feeling awkward at being the center of inspection. Applejack tipped her hat. "Well, ah'm off to the orchard. Holler in ya'll be needin' anything." She offered, before turning and heading towards the door. Big Mac, wordless as ever, nodded before following his sister outside. Adagio stood with Sunset for a moment before looking at her.

"I don't really think I need to see a doctor or anything...I'm quite alright, I'm sure." She said. "But...I certainly think a bit of rest wouldn't hurt..." She said in a slightly lighter tone. a small smirk forming on her lips.

"Of course." Sunset said hurriedly, taking one last forlorn look out the window before helping Adagio back up to her room.

Two Days Later

Adagio stepped outside into the morning air, stretching as a yawn escaped her. The breeze felt good against her marred legs. She took in the cool, peaceful morning, but that was short lived when a sound was heard on the roof just above her. Raising an eyebrow, she walked off of the porch and looked up, shielding her eyes as she did so. No sooner had she done that did she let out a gasp.

"You!" She huffed. There, standing on the roof, one paw raised as if he stopped mid-walk, was that bobcat, staring back at her. And, in his mouth, was a limp bird, it's neck hanging at an odd angle, obviously broken. The two stared at each other for a moment before the cat made the first move, padding to the edge of the low roof before hopping down, landing easily on all fours. Hesitantly, he began inching towards her, and Adagio stiffened. What was he planning now? He moved towards her until he was only a few feet away, and instead of doing something awful as Adagio had presumed, he simply dropped the bird on the ground, gave her an expectant look, then darted off again, heading back in the direction of the woods again. Adagio raised an eyebrow, disregarding the dead bird. "Uh...alrighty then."

~~~~~~END~~~~~~
There's a reason I ended it here, so don't get mad at me XP
Also, what happened to Adagio's legs is pretty much a mirror of something that happened to me when I was younger X3 Gotta get inspiration somewhere!
