Guest: Thank you for the review. I'm not Australian, I'm from England, and the accident that Heath and Bianca were in, in chapter 14, was for the purpose of the story. The reason there are more Brax and Ricky scenes than Heath and Bianca ones, is because it's a Brax and Ricky story, not a Heath and Bianca one, although, they are a bigish part of the story. I do YouTube scenes of them, but don't always have the time.
Guest: Thank you for the review, I don't know if your the same guest as above, but in response to the review, I know Bianca had a sister, but I don't write her in as I don't know her character that well and the juice scene wasn't with April and Heath, it was with Heath and Bianca.
FrankElza: Thank you for the review and thank you for checking the chapter over. It must have been hard for Brax to intervene in her care, but hopefully she will get better. I enjoyed writing Heath's character.
Quite a short update.
The Surrogacy.
Chapter 26.
Two Social workers, Eileen and Rebecca were in their office, trying to write a report on Erica's behaviour, which would then be sent to Nate, also a copy would be sent to the clinic where she was being treated.
Rebecca picked up the paper and read through what she'd written.
Satisfied it was enough, she emailed it to Doctor Cooper, before going to get her and her mate a coffee.
At the Braxton house, Brax was struggling to cope. There's baby throws that need to be washed, toys on the floor, beer bottles that need to be recycled, Brax doesn't usually let the house get in a mess, it's Ricky who keeps the house tidy, even with two young children and her photography.
Brax's POV.
"What have I done?" That was the four lettered sentence that kept going around and around my brain as I listen to the cries of our son, obviously missing his mum, so am I. I've never been apart from her before except for work conferences. I take Casey out of his cot, and walk down the stairs and head in to the kitchen to prepare Case some breakfast, I open the cupboards to see what he can have. There's some rusks in the cupboard, I decide to give him them with some milk. I put them on one of his plates and break them in half and heat up some milk before placing him in the highchair, I pour some milk in to a beaker and warm it up in the microwave for a few seconds, before the microwave pings and I take it out before handing it over to him.
End of Brax's POV.
Kyle knocks on the door to his brothers house. Receiving no answer, he goes inside, and is shocked to notice the beer bottles on the table in the living room. "Brax?" He calls as he hears no movement coming from inside the flat. He climbs the stairs. He heads straight in to his brothers room.
What have I done, Kyle?" Brax sounded lost as he leaned on his younger brother, he's sitting on the floor, beside the bed, holding a picture of himself and Ricky, their arms are around each other.
"She needs help, she's in the best place, Brax" Kyle replies, wondering when he became the sensible one in the family, he wonders whether it's because he's been in many care homes, when he was younger, he never had a place to call "home" until the Braxton's took him in.
Nate is at the hospital, in his office when his computer pings, alerting him to the fact he has an email.
The email subject is "Erica"
Nate double clicks on the attachment as it loads.
It reads.
"Doctor Nate Cooper,
Here is our report, on Erica Sharpe,
Nate scrolled further down as he continued to read the report.
"Although the patient finds it difficult to cope, I'm confident that with the prescribed medication and counselling sessions or group therapy. The patient can make a full recovery. But with mental health there never is a full recovery it will always be there and the person will always need that little bit of help. We recommend supervison contact for the next year at least"
As Nate come to the end of the report, he saved it, and nodded to himself. She'd always have him if she needed it.
"Go for a surf, it might help clear your head. " Kyle says.
"Alright, " He's usually not one to take orders from his brother, but he knows that if he stays in the house, it'll drive him mad. He stands up, heads to the back door, unlocks it and walks out, coming back in, holding his board. He leaves the house, carrying his board above his head until he reaches the beach, he puts down his board on the sand as he inspects the waves, they are short waves, he'll not have a good surf, the good surf are best on long waves, but he'll work with what he can. He lays on his board and starts paddling in, waiting for a wave. One comes and he rides it, repeats the action as he spots another wave. They are bouncy and he soon decides to go back to shore, he dumps his board on the sand, before picking up his towel and rubs it over his head.
"Thanks for this, mate" Said Brax, as he returns from the beach, popping his board in the back. He runs a hand through his hair, before heading upstairs for a shower, it's hot and it's what he needs to help him unwind. He lets the warm water cascade over him, before stepping out and wrapping a towel around his waist before leaving the bathroom, and walking in to the bedroom, he throws on a tee and jeans and walks down the stairs.
Everyone needs a bit of help, Brax " Kyle replies, just as Brax walks back in, Brax nods, thankful that he has the support of at least one of his brothers.
