Cashmere:

And once again I was sitting in my room crying my eyes out listening to Sk8er Boi by Avril Lavigne. Whenever Gloss cheats on me I always listen to old songs. Every time, Gloss comes over the next day saying it meant nothing, and me crawling back into his arms and fixing things with some angry… well you know what I mean. It's been happening a lot lately, but I won't take him back this time. I mean I always say that when Gloss cheats on me but this time I really mean it!

He was a boy

She was a girl

Can I make it anymore obvious?

"YES AVRIL YOU CAN!" I shout at my phone.

He was a punk

She did ballet

What more can I say?

Someone knocked on my bedroom door.

"GO AWAY I'M MOPING IN HERE!

He wanted her

She'd never tell

Secretly she wanted him as well

I didn't focus on the voice that was talking through the door. I was just focused on inputting comments.

"NOT THIS TIME!"

And all of her friends

Stuck up their nose

And they had a problem with his baggy clothes.

He was a skater boy, she said, "See ya later boy."

He wasn't good enough for her

She had a pretty face but her head was up in space

She needed to come back down to earth.

The person who had been shouting through the door (who I didn't pay attention to) opened the door and stepped inside.

"It's me." He said.

Five years from now, she sits at home feeding the baby, she's all alone.

She turns on TV and guess who she sees?

Skater boy rockin' up MTV

"Look I don't want to talk to you. I don't want to hear your excuses." I tell him.

She calls up her friends

They already know

And they've all got tickets to see his show

"But that's not going to stop me." Gloss says stubbornly.

She tags along stands in the crowd

Looks up at the man she turned down

Gloss comes over sitting down at the edge of the bed, looking at my tear stained face.

He was a skater boy, she said "See ya later boy."

He wasn't good enough for her

Now he's a superstar slammin' on his guitar

Does your pretty face see what he's worth?

Gloss comes closer and puts a hand on my knee.

Sorry, girl, but you missed out

Well tough luck that boy's mine now

We are more than just good friends

This is how the story ends

"Look, I'm really sorry she meant nothing to me. It was just that, I was lonely and I thought you didn't want to talk to me. So I gave you space. You're the only girl that I want."

Too bad that you couldn't see...

See the man that boy could be.

There is more that meets the eye,

I see the soul that is inside.

"Well Gloss it's too bloody late for your fake sweet talk because I've had enough when it comes to you and your baggage." Good for you girl I thought my voice getting more stable than when he first came through the door.

He's just a boy, and I'm just a girl.

Can I make it anymore obvious?

We are in love.

Haven't you heard how we rock each other's world?

I stared past him to the edge of my window. I couldn't bring myself to stare into his eyes, knowing more than likely I would fall under his spell and take him back and in 2 weeks time he would cheat on me again.

"I'm going to change for the better this time I promise you that," Gloss whispered while holding my face in his palm, "I'm ready to fully committ this time knowing that you are the person I need to keep me happy in life."

I'm with the skater boy, I said, "See ya later, boy.

I'll be backstage after the show.

I'll be at the studio singing the song we wrote about a girl you used to know."

He leaned closer placing butterfly kisses on my jaw.

I'm with the skater boy, I said, "See ya later, boy.

I'll be backstage after the show.

I'll be at the studio singing the song we wrote about a girl you used to know."

I yanked his hair and put his lips on mine.

Ah well, there's always next time.
