Hey, guys! I know it's been a while since I last updated "Stolen Moments," (which was March 28), but I wasn't inspired by much. But, since I'm here now, I'll update.

And I'm all in, nothing left to hide

I've fallen harder than a landslide

I spent a week away from you last night

And now I'm calling, calling out your name

Even if I lose the game, I'm all in

I'm all in tonight, yeah I'm all in, I'm all in for life

Caroline tied the laces of her bowling shoes and got her ball out of the bag, placing it on the return. She had been looking forward to going bowling all week. When she was a human, she was on a league and won several tournaments. Even though it had been some time since the last time she bowled, she felt confident that she would be able to do well tonight. Suddenly, she felt a presence other than the other humans in the building with her. That's weird, who else could be here? The answer came in the form of the one person she didn't expect to see.

"Hello, love. Fancy meeting you here."

The familiar accented voice resulted in a scowl from her. "Klaus? What are you doing here?"

"I wanted to give bowling a try," he replied. "I've heard about it over the centuries and I thought I'd see what the fuss was about."

Caroline raised a curious eyebrow at him. "Really? And you don't have an ulterior motive for being here? Such as wanting to join me, for example?"

"You know me too well, love," said Klaus. "Yes, that was the plan."

Caroline shook her head at his reply. Why was that not surprising? When it came to her, there was nothing the hybrid Original wouldn't do. He'd walk over hot coals for her, and even take a white oak stake to the heart for her, if need be.

"All right, fine, you can join me. Just grab some shoes from the front and a ball from the rack."

Klaus nodded and went to get bowling shoes and a ball. Once he had gotten them, he went back to her lane and placed his ball on the return. Caroline rolled her eyes at how fast he had done it. He must really want to be with her if he didn't waste any time going about his task. She watched him tie his shoes and against her will, she thought they looked cute on him.

She shook her head and then went about putting their names on the screen. She put her name first, since Caroline came before Klaus alphabetically. Once that was done, she pressed the "Start Bowling" key and the screen came up, her name before his, just like she had formatted it.

Klaus saw what she had done, but didn't dare question it. If putting her name before his was what she was going to do, then who was he to complain. "Ladies first, I see."

"Yep," she replied. "Now, watch me as I show you just how it's done."

She grabbed her ball and got into position, after which she threw the ball down the lane, getting a strike and letting out an excited scream. Klaus smiled as he saw what she had done, obviously quite pleased. When it was his turn, he got his ball and did exactly as she had done. Taking a deep breath, he threw the ball and got a strike as well.

"Klaus, you're amazing," said Caroline. "Getting a strike your first time out is impressive. Not many new bowlers can do that." She smiled. "Then again, you're not an ordinary new bowler, are you?"

"Apparently not," said Klaus. "Now that I've had my turn, it's your turn again."

Caroline nodded and went to have her next turn, still impressed that Klaus had gotten a strike on his first try. She threw her ball, hoping to get another strike. However, she only got eight pins, resulting a split that seemed impossible to get, the dreaded 7-10 split. Not many bowlers could successfully pick up a spare by hitting them. Determined not to let it bother her, Caroline took her ball from the return, got into position, and threw it, getting only the 7 pin.

"Damn it, I was that close to picking up the spare." She looked at Klaus. "Well, let's see if you can have better luck."

Klaus nodded and kissed her cheek as he walked past her. He then picked up his ball and threw it, getting another strike. Shit, he was having an extreme case of beginner's luck, wasn't he? Caroline wasn't sure what this was, but she was definitely even more impressed than she was before.

"You got a double," she said. "Seriously, I don't get it."

"Maybe I'm just having a good night."

"Having a good night, my ass," said Caroline. "You're getting strikes like a maniac, and it's only your first time bowling. I was on a league when I was human, and I've seen guys who couldn't keep the ball from going into the gutter."

"Apparently, they were inferior compared to someone like me."

Caroline said nothing to that, just went to take her next turn.

An Hour Later…

Caroline looked at the final scores. Klaus had gotten a 120 the first game, and a 135 the next. She had gotten a 116 her first game and a 130 the next. She had to admit, Klaus was pretty good for a beginner, and she couldn't help but even more impressed.

"You really surprised me," she said. "You're a great bowler."

"Thank you, love," he replied. "Though, I didn't do it to compete with you. I did it because I wanted to have fun with the lady vampire that I love."

"Well, I certainly had fun," said Caroline. "I think we should go bowling together more often."

Klaus nodded. "It's a date then."

Caroline giggled and kissed him.

Note: Here you go, guys, a new one shot for "Stolen Moments." Enjoy and stay tuned!
