Cody's Memoirs-Outgunned

As Kid and I raced into Sweetwater, I feared we would be too late to save Jimmy. I knew without being told that he was headed into town for a showdown with Longley. When I relayed the details of the gunfight I had witnessed between Longley and the last man he had faced off with and killed, I had neglected to tell them that it had not been a fair fight. Longley's two henchmen had taken up strategic positions so they could assist him in defeating his opponent.

This knowledge I had quickly relayed to Kid and was the reason why we raced into town to act as Jimmy's backup. Arriving into tow we were relieved to find Jimmy very much alive, although he was already squared off with Longley. Kid and I quickly took up positions to cover Jimmy, each targeting one of Longley's men, and none too soon. Gunfire erupted seconds later.

In the end, Jimmy was injured, but the last man standing. Kid and I each had dispatched Longley's henchmen, while he took down Longley. We escorted Jimmy to the doctor's residence, leaving the bodies of the dead men to Sam and his deputies to deal with. After Jimmy was patched up, the three of us headed back to the station.
