Chapter 26: The Current Set Up
Hesitation reflected in his dark blue eyes but it quickly disappeared when he felt her hand that is on his back went down and squeezes his sexy butt. Juvia felt the same but didn't say anything and just remained silent, laying her head down his shoulder while her fingers on his muscled chest tracing circles and lines in it. Gray noticed that and can't help but smile, wrapping his arms around her and kisses the tip of her nose, Juvia didn't expect that action and looks to him, "How can you be so adorable and sexy at the same time?" he asks and kisses her again but this time on her lips,

"Yep, Papa is on a mission with Auntie Lucy and Uncle ash brain," Gray answered his son, his eyes again focused on the road,
"Can Gavin come?" the little boy asks,
"Sorry little guy but you can't, it's dangerous there." Gray smiled when the boy pouted,
"Gavin strong mage," said the little boy,
"Gavin is a strong mage, Papa knows that, but you need to enrol in your school with Mama, right?" Gray asked,
"Mama we go with Papa, pwease?" Gavin turns to his mother and do the sparkling eyes thingy,
"We cannot, baby." Juvia shook her head with a gentle smile, "Gavin needs to enrol in your school–"
"Don't wanna! Want to go with Papa!" Gavin wiggles his little hand, the clouds outside darkening as the child starts his tantrums,
"Zander will be there also, isn't he your friend?" Juvia tries to persuade his son, Zander is the Fernandes' eldest child,
"Zander will enrol too?" the child sniffled, "Zach, Elly too?" he asks, Zach is Alzach and Bisca's son, Elly is Elfman and Ever's son.
"Yes, honey." Juvia nods vigorously, "and there is a playground in there too,"
"Playground?" the child repeated, and Juvia again nodded. The dark skies already retreated and both parents sighed in unison.
Juvia went to the bar counter where the former S-Class mage, Mira is busy wiping some glasses, "Good morning, Juvia." the barmaid greeted,
"Good morning to you also, Mira-san," she smiled,
"I thought you'll enrol Gavin today?" Mira asked, her eyes on the ice mage carrying Gavin on his shoulders, there is only few mages who is present because it is still so early,
Juvia followed where Mira is looking and smiled, "Gavin wants to see them off before we go to the school," she answered, "he really loves his father." She muttered absentmindedly, Mira smiled knowingly but didn't say anything, "Oh, I almost forgot. Mira-san, thanks for the help in choosing a school for my son,"
"It's nothing." Mira giggled, "The school's owner was a friend of my husband, and my nieces and nephews study there so I know that the institution is good." She explained,
A soft cry caught their attention and Mira quickly excuses herself and went to the makeshift crib in one corner, Juvia watches Mira as she lulled her baby back into sleep. The baby even being a boy had a pretty face, his rounded cheeks were pinkish and a small tuff of light green hair atop of his small head.
"Aww, he's so cute." Juvia pokes the baby's cheek when Mira went back to the counter, "I bet when he grows up his auntie and uncle would spoil him," she giggled, imagining Lisanna babysitting the little angel. Lately Lisanna has been busy with her dates.
"Who is that?" Gavin climbs onto the bar stool and peeks to the baby,
"His name is Amir, he will be one of your playmates," Mira said to the black haired boy,
"But he too smawll," Gavin said innocently, giving emphasis to the word 'small'
"It is because he's still a baby," Juvia said pinching her son's chubby cheek for being too cute,
"Can I carry him, Mira?" asks the ice mage behind Juvia she didn't know was standing there, Mira nodded and handed the small child to Gray, "Oh, shit, even his lips was Freed's" he grinned when the baby made some noise in his sleep,
Juvia watches Gray with guilt and sadness in her eyes, imagining the small child in his arms had jet-black hair instead of light green, 'If I didn't leave Magnolia that day three years ago, If I didn't hide my son to him would our lives became better?' she asks herself,
Gray give the infant back to Mira and sat on one of the bar stools beside his son and ordered an iced drink, "What is taking them so damn long?" he mumbled, looking at the mage clock in the hall,
"Maybe Lucy-san and Natsu-san had a problem with their new home, that's why they're late." Juvia said adjusting the furred collar of her coat, conscious of the kiss marks Gray had generously placed there.
Gray noticed that and can't help but too feel proud of his markings, he lifts his hand and tucked some strands of her blue hair behind her ear, Juvia turns her face to Gray and locked her eyes to his, his fingers behind her ear traces the outline of her jaw, "Juvia, how about we also live together?" he asks,
Juvia's eyes widen, her lips slightly dropped, shocked with Gray's question. Living with him again in the same roof didn't cross her mind, maybe because she chose to be contented with their current set up, because wanting more from this means change and changing will welcome some uncertainties and she don't want to take risk again.
"Gray!" a voice called and they both turn their heads to the flying blue exceed above them,
"Oi, Happy, where are Lucy and Natsu? We agreed to meet here early. I'm so gonna kick fire freak's ass!" Gray ranted, frustrated not because Natsu and Lucy were late but because he was interrupted when he's trying to say his practiced speech of 'marry me' to Juvia.
"Gray, Natsu said that they will not get the mission anymore," Happy said,
"What? Why? What happened?" asks Gray his brow furrowed, it's so not Natsu to just ditch a mission,
"Aye! Natsu said that Lushy isn't in a condition to accept missions anymore Gray, he said Lushy carries his child." Explains the exceed in a tone like saying something so natural like breathing,
Gray opens and closes his mouth like a fish, too shocked by the news, Mira squealed in delight from the very good news and starts sharing it to every mage she sees,
"D-did they go to the hospital to verify it?" Juvia asks, also shocked by the news,
"Nuh-uh, Natshu says his nose doesn't lie," happy shook his head,
"His nose?" Juvia repeated, unaware that a Dragon Slayer's super sense of smell can detect that, her eyes flew to the guild door where Gajeel and Levy walks in, 'Uh-oh, this isn't good.' She gulped, never thought Gajeel and Levy would be here too early in the morning. She planned to leave the guild with her son before the Iron Dragon Slayer came.
"Levy, Gajeel! You wouldn't believe it! Lucy is pregnant!"
She can hear Levy stuttered, words jumbled in her throat, too shocked at the news, but whatever they talked next didn't register to her mind anymore as her cerulean orbs were now focused to Gajeel whom bloody red eyes stared at her, his nose wrinkled as he took a whiff in the air.
"Uncle Gajeel!" Gavin's eyes sparkled from seeing one of his favourite uncles,
Gajeel gently patted the boy's head, "Hey there little Popsicle," his eyes went to Gray who just nods to him then to Juvia, "I'll just borrow your mommy here for a moment," he said and walks away knowing full well that Juvia will follow him,
Juvia looks at Gray who nods in understanding, "Go ahead, we'll just wait here," he said, he knows that the Iron Dragon Slayer still doesn't approve of him and he clearly understand why. He watches Juvia's descending figure, wondering what would be her answer if Happy didn't came to interrupt them.
Juvia walks to one of the shaded tables in the outdoor café; she sat on the chair and braced herself to be lectured by her best friend slash brother. Looking up to the Gajeel, Juvia saw him looking at her with his brow arched,
"Gajeel, well I… We…" she paused again, unsure what to say,
"You don't have to tell me what happened, Juvia, for Mavis sake I don't want to hear any sex story between you and that stripper." He said bluntly,
"Don't say that, it's embarrassing!" Juvia looks around, hoping no one heard that,
Gajeel rolled his eyes, "Are you aware that people assume much more than that about you two? They even talked about your favourite sex positions and Gray's wild fetishes."
Juvia's jaw dropped, 'what do these people view the two of them? Horny mages jumping each other every chance they get?' Her cheeks blushed from that thought, knowing that it is slightly true in some ways.
"So… you decided to give him another chance?" Gajeel asks,
"Honestly… I don't know," she admitted, getting frustrated with herself and wanting to pull her hair at the moment.
Gajeel sighed, he knew what crazy things Gray did in the past three years just to find her best friend and in his opinion the guy deserved a second chance, though he won't admit it.
"Just a friendly reminder, Juv, teach that moron how to use condom." He stated,
"Gajeeeeel!" Juvia squirmed in her seat, uncomfortable to talk about her sex life in public places,

Sunny-Sunny Lands, the best learning centre in Magnolia for little toddlers with mage lineage is way much better than Juvia and Gray had expected, as the admission officer had toured them to the school they saw the facilities from the classrooms, clinic, canteen, playground and anything related. Gavin walks between his parents while his hands held by them just Ohh-ed, and Aww-ed in amazement.
After the tour, the admission officer invites them to the Admission office for the papers and other requirements for enrolment.
"Our institution is really honoured to be chosen by Mr. and Mrs. Fullbuster, we'll see to it that little Gavin will enjoy the wide range of varied mage activities," the admission officer talked rather cheerfully,
"It's just Ms. Lockser," she said, though the woman just ignores her and continue talking, Gray on the other hand was delighted to hear someone calls Juvia, Mrs. Fullbuster.
"Actually, I am a fan of yours since the Grand Magic Games so many years ago, Oh Gosh! I was so happy to see you two in the flesh! Can I have a picture with you two?" and before the two could answer series of flash of camera came, the woman squealed like a teen ager, "Thank you, really thank you!"
"Uh, you're welcome?" Juvia said,
"Yeah, yeah, is the enrolment process done yet?" Gray asks with a bored look,
Gavin with the same look in his face as his father's walks near the window and look outside. His droopy dark blue eyes scanned the spacious enclosed playground outside, there's a sand box, seesaw, swing, climbing frames, pull carts and mini cars, but what caught his attention is the slide. He squealed and his eyes sparkled, "Gavin wants swide!"
Juvia had a strained smile on her face to hid her annoyance while Gray didn't try to hide it, the admission officer slash fan never stopped talking, though she works efficiently using the archive magic.
Juvia went to look at the seat where Gavin is supposed to be sitting and gasp, "Where's Gavin?"
He wiggles his little arms and giggles, as his small body slides down in the red slide in the playground, after reaching the bottom, "Yay! Again!" he again ran to the ladder.
His small feet turn into a halt, his breath hitched in his throat for a tall guy wearing a tattered long coat is standing outside the gate. His face was covered by a tattered cloth bag with large stitches, two holes in for his eyes that glare at the small child.
Gavin frightened, looks back at the door where his parents are then turns to look at the gate again but the tall guy isn't there anymore, his eyes searched while taking a step back only to bump his back against something, looking at his back he came face to face with the man wearing a weird cloth mask, and then screamed on top of his lungs.
And the bad guy made his appearance. Please review, I would love to know what you think :)
Omake! Gavin Winter!
Sitting on the garden set, Gavin looks at the pieces of various shaped ice and picks one with the rounded edges, tilting his head as he inspects the object.
"What kind of shape is that, little guy?" asks Gray who is sitting across his son.
"shircle." Gavin answered,
"That's correct, now put it inside," Gray tapped the iced sphere which had holes of different shapes, Gavin easily finds the hole with rounded corner and put it in, "Pick another, son"
Gavin again went back to the table and picks another and raise it, "Twiangle,"
"Very good, now put it in again," Gray watches his son search for the triangle shaped hole,
"Papa?" Gavin put the piece in the right hole and went to pick another,
"Hm? What is it Gavin?" Gray asks his son, his eyes focus on what the child is doing, while sipping on his iced coffee.
Gavin picks a cross shaped ice, "Gavin asks Elly play 'ere t'morrow but he said he needs tah play with his baby brotha and baby sistah, Gavin sad, can Gavin also have those?"
Gray choked in his drink, the little boy tilts his head as he watches his father's reaction to his question, "Hey, son do you know what is a baby brother and a baby sister?" he asks,
Gavin blinks his eyes, "It's a toy," the boy answered innocently that Gray almost fall from his seat, "Papa can't buy those? Expenshib?"
"Well, son…" he paused. How can you explain these things to a three year old boy without corrupting his young mind?
