Hello and welcome back. I once again apologize for being gone for so long. I'm extremely sorry for that. I've had some problems with myself lately and have ended up in a slump. I should be fine now, but still I'm sorry for all of the delays. Ok, now with that said let's do this!

The Last Ascetic

A small fire burned as twilight fell upon Fuyuki city. By the mountain gate of Ryuudou Temple, a woman sat as she warmed her body by the flames. Her eyes drifted to the sky, the dying colors reminded her of the last minutes of her original life. By now her original name would have been lost and yet she was bought here for another battle.

Her eyes narrowed at at thought. She was tired of combat, tired of the pointless battles and yet she once again she could not leave the battlefield. She was once more trapped in the eternal cycle of conflict, unable to escape with her life intact. Why was she bought into another battle? She was finally at peace and now she was dragged back. To her, it seemed the life of an Assassin was never over.

-Line Break-

"Saber, wait!" Shirou yelled as he struggled to keep up with his blonde Servant. As soon as she had found out about a Servant near Ryuudou Temple, the blonde had begun to rush over there, knowing that whatever Servant that was there could be bad news to her and her Master's safety. The red headed Master had however disagreed with her about going up there while twilight grew close to its end. Dusk was soon to hit and the mountains were dangerous at night.

"I apologize Shirou, but we can not wait for this." Saber said as she kept her eyes on the steps of the gate. She had to protect her Master at all costs and making sure whatever was near the temple was vanquished was part of her duty. A cold feeling filled the air as Saber paused in her ascent. Embers burned near the gate as a small controlled flame burned innocently, a young woman by its side as she warmed herself.

The woman had pink hair that appeared tousled. Her eyes of amber stared at the armored Servant before drifting back to the fire. Her upper torso was clothed in a black with pink trimmings bodysuit that covered her neck, arms and back while leaving the rest of her body free. Her chest was contained in a black bikini with a pink skull marking on the left cup showing her deadliness. Pink short shorts covered her nether regions as part of a thong peaked up from underneath. The shorts were held up by a pink belt that held onto black stockings that went into a pair of high-heeled boots. Shirou blinked and looked away from the woman as a blush appeared on his face. He could not help himself given what she was wearing. Saber however did not seem amused.

Though she seemed deadly, the outfit reminded her of the harlots from neighboring kingdoms in her time. Thankfully, those women did not show as much skin.

"Servant Saber, correct?" The woman asked a vague accent tingling her words. Her eyes stared at the fire as if it would grant her meaning. If the blonde seemed confused she did not show it.

"I am." She confirmed, preparing to draw her weapon at any minute as her Master took several steps back. "May I ask your class and how you knew my own class?"

"So far I've fought three others and you don't seem like an Archer or Caster."

"Then you are Assassin." Shirou deduced as he got his blush under control. The Assassin turned her head to the boy as she nodded slowly.

"I was hoping to fight Saber last. How unfortunate that you had to show up now." Her hands drifted over a mechanical pack on the ground next to her, ready to grab it at a moments notice.

"Tell me Assassin." Saber asked as she walked up the steps where Assassin was waiting. "Were you the one who attacked the people in the city?"

The pink haired killer shook her head as she picked up her device before standing up her self and walking back. "I may have been a hired killer a long time ago but I would not do so to these innocents. My contractor on the other hand..." She trailed off giving Saber the clue she needed.

"Your Master is the one performing the attacks. Then move aside Assassin, I have no quarrel with you." Assassin walked towards the flat step where Saber stood mentally preparing her self.

"Please, do not think of me as a nuisance but I must protect my Master regardless of my values."

"And they are?" Shirou asked from below the two women, curious why this Servant would work for someone like her mysterious Master.

"All I want is a way out of the endless cycle of violence." The Servant and Master's eyes grew wide as they listened to what the woman was saying. "I had become addicted to the violence once and then set free in a crimson by the No More Hero but I find myself here in combat once again. And you two, why do you fight?"

"My desire... I'm afraid it would not interest you, Assassin." Saber spoke not wanting to explain while her Master was nearby. The pink haired woman frowned at the lack of information before turning to the male.

"I fight to become a hero. No one should have to fight any more, not even you." Shirou said as a small smile briefly appeared on his enemies face.

"I see. Then I must apologize then." Assassin's device unfolding before attaching to her back. A long metallic object, like that of a scorpion's tail attached to the ground as the woman was lifted into the air. "But I can not let an idealist and his Servant to see my own." Five arm like devices appeared on her back as the tips unleashed pink blades of energy. Two arms were on either side of her as the last was over her head, ready to slice the opposing force to ribbons. "Please, show me your passion Saber!"

"Shirou stand back." Saber ordered as she summoned her invisible sword to her person. "There is no avoiding this battle." She explained as the male had no choice but to go down several more steps. "As for you Assassin, I will show you more then just my passion." With that said, the blonde lunged for the Servant, the wind around her sword rotating intensely.

The energy blade crossed each other as they defended their user from harm, preventing the raging wind from getting close. As Saber pushed down on Assassin's guard, the pink haired woman's back was forced at a horrible angle causing light amount of pain the longer she held on. As she separated her blades, Saber was forced back into the air. Landing with a thud, the blonde glared at her opponent as the blades atop the devices separated as they launched towards the servant of the sword. As the energy rocketed towards Saber, she quickly blocked with her sword.

As the projectiles became faster and faster, Saber began to struggle to block causing the blades to tear through her armored dress. Deciding blocking wasn't working, Saber made a rush towards Assassin, attacks grazing her lightly. When she was close to her, Saber jumped towards her once again. Seeing her strategy, the pink haired woman poisoned her blades carefully before dropping to the ground. As the swords collided, golden and pink sparks flew through the air before the two backed off landing safety on the ground.

Shirou's eyes widened as Saber charged again causing her opponent to flip backwards to avoid her. He could see that the Assassin was more agile then his friend and had a projectile advantage. But Saber had a strength advantage and the rose haired Servant knew that, it explained why she was keeping her distance.

Keeping up with the Assassin, Saber slowly began to break through her guard, her blade of wind cutting slowly though the energy swords. As the energy swords began to fail, Assassin flipped backwards once more to avoid Saber and fired her swords. Weaving through them, Saber leapt quickly before cutting through the top three arms of the device. As the machine parts fell to the ground, Assassin did her best to parry with the final blades before turning away and releasing her platform as a battering ram. Catching Saber in the chest and knocking her away towards her Master, Assassin allowed the platform to lift her into the air, the twilight sky cutting a intimidating figure.

"Brilliant Saber. You have an incredible Servant, hero." Assassin complemented as she turned off the last of her weapons. Saber knew what was happening next, looked towards Shirou who seemed shocked. "It was everything I hoped for."

"Shirou, close your eyes!" She ordered yet the boy didn't. "Shirou!"

"Assassin, can I ask you something?" Seeing the woman nod, he continued. "Your name, what was it?"

"Promise me you won't forget... There once was an Assassin named Alice."

"I won't." Shirou promised causing a small smile to appear on the woman's face. Finally she could be free once again. She could once more return to her friend and family.

The ones she truly cared for.

Letting herself fall forward, Assassin's eyes shone brightly as Saber prepared her sword. With a swift cut, Alice was bisected through the middle evenly. Blood flew through the air, landing on the remaining duo coating them in crimson. Shirou shook as he watched the body of the woman turn into golden particles. Saber looked away, knowing Shioru would explode at any moment. She would rather he not learn this part of the war this early. It would scar him but it was indeed a lesson he had to learn eventually. And it was due to that woman that he would learn this lesson. Taking a chance, Saber turned and wrapped her arms around him hoping to calm him down.

Shirou's arms slowly went around her as he continued to shake. He would never forget what happened here today and he would never forget Alice.

He would make sure of it.

-END-

Assassin Alice Twilight. Another odd choice. But I guess not that odd. It surprised me that not many people choose characters from No More Heroes as a Servant. Is it the lack of characterisation or skills? It confuses me but you know what? That's what these things were created for right? Alright, Alice Twilight, considered one of the greatest bosses in the series and one I knew I wanted to write for.

I apologise if I didn't get her completely correct but lack of screen time can be a problem after all. But I enjoyed it so... *shrug*. About breaking the ASURA-6, I know there is going to be some hate for me doing that but I did want to do her death scene well and the only way I could think doing it was destroying her weapon. So sorry to everyone for doing that. Well that's all I can say, sorry for disappearing and all that. As always questions and requests can be sent in and thanks for reading and please review.
