Aleera was taking a walk around town when she saw a small gathering in front of the courthouse, surrounding a wooden man. Aleera realized it was Pinocchio. Who else would it be? August had turned back into a puppet at some point when he'd been missing. Aleera went to join the group and August appeared to be dead.

"Brave, truthful, and unselfish," Henry said. No one knew what he meant. But Aleera remembered it from the Pinocchio story. "Brave, truthful and unselfish!" Henry repeated. "Don't you see what this means? That's what Pinocchio was supposed to be. There's still hope. We need the Blue Fairy."

"I'm here, Henry," Blue said coming up instantly.

"What does Henry mean?" Snow asked.

"I was able to turn Pinocchio into a real boy after he sacrificed his life for Marco's. If his actions today were indeed brave, truthful, and unselfish, then you're right. There's a chance I can do it again."

"Please, I beg you, try!" Marco pleaded.

Blue pointed her wand at August and he was surrounded in blue light that blocked him from view. When he became visible again he was no longer wood, but he was also no longer an adult. Young Pinocchio lay where adult August had been.

"Uh, oops?" Aleera remarked.

"Father?" Pinocchio asked him.

"Pinocchio, look. Look!" Marco cried happily.

"I'm a real boy…I'm a real boy!" Pinocchio exclaimed.

Aleera lost it at how adorable he was. It was bizarre to see the sexy, leather clad, pathological liar, as a little boy. But he was absolutely sweet. Aleera heard Neal say, 'hey' from behind her. She tore away from little Pinocchio to see a woman she did not recognize.

"It's true," the woman said.

"Neal, who's this?" Aleera asked.

"Tamara," he answered. "My fiancée."

"Do better this time Pinocchio," she heard Blue say behind her. But Aleera was distracted with this mystery woman.

"Pinocchio?" Tamara said. "That's…"

"This is my sister, Aleera," Neal said to Tamara changing the subject.

"It's…nice to meet you," Tamara said. "Neal, you were holding a lot back."

"She was as much a surprise to me as she is to you," Neal told her.

Maybe she was just jealous and scared that this woman was going to take her brother away when she barely had him. But there was something strange about Tamara. Aleera's powers can sense things off about people. She watched Tamara while Emma questioned Pinocchio. No one else was paying attention to the new person. But Aleera found the face Tamara was making to be odd.

"Hey, sis, could you give me and T a minute?" Neal asked her.

"Sure," Aleera said. And she went by the announcement board, watching them cautiously.

"If you want to head back to New York," Neal told Tamara, Aleera could faintly hear them. "I wouldn't blame you. I know this wasn't what you signed up for."

"What I signed up for…is you," Tamara told him. "I love you." Aleera wanted to believe that. But it sounded phony.

"I can't believe how lucky I was to have met you," Neal told her.

"We're both lucky," Tamara told him. "Now let's talk to your sister."

"Yeah, Aleera! Come here!" Neal said happily. "Want to get dinner with us?"

"Sure," Aleera said. "Why don't you come over to my house and I can cook."

"Will I get to meet this husband of yours?" Neal asked.

"That's the idea," Aleera said.

"I'll have to see if he's good enough," Neal teased. Aleera led the way and the couple followed.

"She's got a husband? How old is she?" Tamara asked.

"Old enough," Aleera said a little more gruffly than she intended.

She brought them to her house and they talked with her in the kitchen while she prepared. Alastair came home from the bean fields and met everyone. Neal ended up not being as protective as he'd teased. Tamara was very quiet. Aleera thought the woman might not want to be there. Where else did she have to go?

"So, do you have magical powers?" Tamara asked Aleera at the dining room table.

"I might," Aleera said.

"What do you mean might?" Alastair said.

"I actually haven't seen you use your powers yet," Neal said.

"I don't use them if I don't have to," Aleera said.

"Oh really," Tamara said. It didn't sound like she believed her.

"About the only thing I'm remotely dependent on is transporting myself," Aleera explained to her guests. "I hate driving."

"What kind of powers do you have?" Tamara asked.

"Let's switch subjects," Aleera suggested.

"What, why?" Neal asked.

"Yeah, hon, show off," Alastair told her. Aleera didn't want to give this Tamara too much information until she knew she was safe to be around. But she got an idea of how she could appease everyone and analyze Tamara.

"I can sense things about people," Aleera said.

"Can't everybody?" Tamara asked incredulously.

"Yes, but I can confirm my findings better than any normal person," Aleera said. "Would you like me to read you? Hmm?" Tamara stiffened at that. Aleera thought she might have her on the ropes.

"Oh no, let's not get into that," Tamara chuckled awkwardly.

"Got something to hide?" Aleera asked. She and Tamara looked each other right in the eyes.

"No, I just…" Tamara was nervous.

"Come on, T, it won't hurt," Neal said. "What do you sense, sis?"

"I sense…" Aleera drew it out. She really looked deep into Tamara, where all this evil energy was real thick. "A troublemaker." It wasn't very specific or revealing, but she knew it was enough to make Tamara worry.

"Right on the nose!" Neal said. "That's exactly right! She got you babe!"

"Yeah…she got me," Tamara said. She then started playing with her food not looking up.

"She is also working on telepathy," Alastair said. That made Tamara choke on her iced tea.

"You can read minds?" she gasped. Oh, looks like she's really worried now, Aleera thought.

"Nothing too intrusive," Aleera said. "I will never be able to hear every thought or control people. I don't want to do that. That's an ability no one should have. A person's mind is their own."

"That's nice to hear that you think that," said Neal. "I bet papa would think differently."

"Don't underestimate dad," Aleera said to Neal. "Or me," she added for Tamara personally. She gave the woman a stare down. And then she used her small telepathic ability to speak only to the woman. "Whatever harm you have planned, I will stop you." It was risky to do what she'd done. But she was sure the woman was up to no good.

"Whoa, did you just say something to her?" Neal caught on. "Oh…did you tell her not to hurt me?"

"…Yes I did," Aleera lied. It was sort of true. If any of the evil Tamara planned would hurt Neal, Tamara would be answering to her. Tamara just stared at her very scared. To let Tamara sit with all of that, Aleera changed subjects and talked to Neal about Henry.

"I'd really love pictures of him and me together," Neal said when she asked him how they were getting on.

"I could take some for you," Aleera said.

"Yeah, Aleera's great at photography," Alastair promoted her skill.

"That would be awesome!" Neal said. "Thanks!" Tamara did not say anything else until they were saying goodbye.

"See you tomorrow for the photo session," Aleera said as she hugged Neal goodbye.

"We'll be there!" Neal said. While he shook hands with Alastair, Tamara and Aleera were saying goodbye.

"See you soon," Aleera said. Shaking hands with Tamara. It was a longer handshake than one would usually do, and Aleera's grip was tight. Her eyes were fixed on Tamara's, and she hoped she was making it clear to the woman that she meant business. And she'd get away with nothing short of leaving Storybrooke and never coming back.

"Good bye," Tamara said. Aleera chuckled at the bit of gruffness in Tamara's voice. She'd clearly struck a nerve. The couple left and Aleera and Alastair went to check on Miranda who had spent the dinner watching movies and eating macaroni and cheese in the den.

"They seem great," Alastair said as they were on the couch watching one of the Diary of a Wimpy Kid movies that Miranda had been watching.

"Neal is, at least," Aleera replied.

"You don't like Tamara?" he asked.

"She's bad news. She was dripping with evil energy," Aleera said.

"What!" Alastair hissed. He didn't want Miranda to hear. "Are you sure? Should we do something?"

"I am doing something," Aleera said. "I'm going to force her out. I'm going to report her to my father. He will help me. He won't let Neal be with her if she's dangerous." But first Aleera had her duty to Neal and Henry tomorrow morning. She went to the park with them to take pictures of them sword fighting. Unbeknownst to them, Gold watched them from afar. Regina came across him from his perch and saw the action below.

"Seems like we've both been pushed to the sidelines," Regina said.

"What are you doing here?" Rumple asked annoyed.

"The real question is: What's your son doing with mine?" Regina asked.

"Oh that?" Rumple chortled. "That's right you didn't get the birth announcement did you? That's Henry's father."

"What?" Regina tensely asked.

"Do I have to spell it out for you?" Rumple asked. "Miss Swan and my son…"

"You're Henry's grandfather!" Regina growled.

"Guess that makes us family," Rumple said with a grimace. "Your sister is his biological aunt. She's more bonded to him than you. And he's got my eyes don't you think?" He began to walk away but she followed.

"You did this," Regina accused.

"Trust me, dearie, it was as much a shock to me as it is to you," he tried to assure her.

"No, you must have known," Regina didn't believe him. "When I adopted him it was you who procured him for me. You expect me to believe that was a coincidence?"

"No not coincidence," Rumple said. "Fate. And apparently fate has a sense of humor." Regina did not like that at all. And as revenge she went to Belle and installed a false life into her mind.

While that was going on, Tamara was working with Greg Mendel on their mission. She told him what went on between her and Aleera. They knew they needed to go on the down low. But they needed to get Hook in town. They didn't want to take on Aleera if she was as powerful as Neal said. The weapon they'd used to kill August was no longer an option if they didn't want to pattern themselves. Maybe they'd let Hook go after her. Because Rumple was distracted with Belle/Lacey, Aleera couldn't get a hold of him. But she found out about Belle's new identity from Kayley who waitresses at The Rabbit Hole.

"Your dad is over there with uh…Lacey," Kayley said to Aleera when she came in.

"Lacey? That's going to take a while to get used to," Aleera commented.

"He looks like he could use a life preserver," Kayley said.

"Hmm, let me try something," Aleera said.

She then went up to the karaoke stage and starting futzing around. She got it all set up and chose a song that seemed just perfect. Hopefully Lacey would dig it. And hopefully her father wouldn't kill her. Although Aleera could not control people with her power of telepathy, she could soothe the savage breast with her singing because her magic could dispense from her voice. She found Natalia Kills' Wonderland and began to sing.

Lacey's head turned up and around from her drink like a meerkat. It looked like she liked it. Lacey got up and grabbed Gold's hand and tried to get him out onto the dance floor. Gold saw it was Aleera up there and he gave her a look like, 'I know what you're doing.' But when Aleera got to the Beauty and the Beast reference in the song she gave her dad an encouraging look.

There wasn't much dancing Gold could do with his limp, but he could act as a pillar to hold up Lacey. She was really into it. As were a lot of people in the bar. Aleera got distracted from her dad and Lacey because of the admiration of the crowd. She got really into performing and forgot her dad could see her. But she knew people like Lacey and the people in this pub could succumb to her seduction. Her father would not, but he wasn't her target.

Aleera was dancing around and moving around very sexily. The people closest to the stage were men. Alastair wouldn't be happy about that, but they were only enthralled while the 3 1/2 minute song played. When it ended they broke out of the trance and went back to drinking and shooting pool. Aleera turned to see Lacey coming up to the stage with Gold following close behind her. Kayley was also there congratulating Aleera.

"You got her good!" Kayley said right before Lacey came up.

"That's was fricken awesome!" Lacey told her. Gold was very stiff lipped. "Gold says you're his kid."

"Oh did he say that?" Aleera laughed. "I'm surprised he'd admit that."

"Why this was hardcore!" Lacey said. Aleera never thought a pop song deserved the compliment, 'hardcore.' But Lacey seemed schnockered enough that anything would amuse her. "Anyway, awesome show. You make karaoke cool. I got to go prepare for my date with your dad."

"Oh great!" Aleera said excitedly. "You two have fun!" Then Lacey left and Aleera turned her attention to her dad. "Nice work, Dad."

"Don't think I'm grateful you made a nuisance of yourself," Rumple told her.

"Oh it was just a song, harmless!" Aleera said. "And it certainly put her in a good mood. Which is what you needed wasn't it?"

"Don't do that again," Rumple said. "You weren't the only one getting looks during the song."

"Oh…" Aleera said. "Well, sorry. But hey, when you've got her secured, I need to talk to you about something. It's Neal's fiancée."

"Not interested," Rumple told her. And then he walked away. Aleera jumped off the two-foot tall platform and followed after him. "We need to do something about her, I know she's bad for him! Bad for all of us!"

"They won't make it to the altar no matter what we do," Gold said. "Bae loves Miss Swan. Now if you'll excuse me, I have a date to get ready for." And then he headed out of the bar.

"You're welcome!" Aleera called after him. But he did not hear her.

She needed to get someone to listen to her. Gold's mention of Miss Swan gave her the idea to talk to her. After all, whoever is in Neal's life is in Henry's. If Emma thought there was a threat to her son's safety, she'd do something. She went to Mary Margaret's apartment later that night to see that Neal was going inside with Henry slumped over his shoulder. She could go in now and just confront Neal already. But she wanted people on her side first.

She waited in the shadows of a nearby alley and when she saw Neal come out she dematerialized and rematerialized on the landing outside the apartment door. She knocked and was received by Emma who must have thought Neal had come back for something because she was smirking until she got a proper look at whom it was.

"Aleera?" she asked. "What are you doing here?"

"We have a problem," Aleera said as she let herself in.

"We do?" Emma asked.

"Yes," Aleera replied. "It's Tamara, she's evil."

"Oh, Aleera…" Emma groaned. "That's a bit of a stretch isn't it?"

"You don't think she is?" Aleera asked. "I thought you have a thing with lies?"

"I've barely spoken to her," Emma said. "Everything I've heard her say Neal has confirmed. Why do you think she's evil?"

"I could sense it," Aleera said. "It's a power of mine, I can detect a person's true nature. I also know what love looks like, and she does not feel it for him."

"Are you sure this isn't protective sibling issues?" Emma asked her.

"You'll regret doubting me," Aleera said. "I have some foresight ability I got from my dad. I know something bad is going to happen. I've felt it for a while. I thought it was just from Cora being in town. But it didn't go away when she died."

"I'll run my lie beam over her next time I see her," Emma said. "But right now it's late. Mary Margaret and David will be home soon."

"Fine," Aleera gave in. "But don't put it off."

"I won't, if she does something bad I'll get her," Emma assured her.

"Not if," Aleera argued. "It will be when. Get her before!" Aleera then left and closed the door a little too loud. It woke Henry up.

"Was that Neal leaving?" Henry asked groggily.

"That was…" Emma was about to be honest. But she didn't want more questions. "Yeah, it was Neal." Henry accepted that and got up to go upstairs to sleep in a real bed.

When Emma saw Tamara the next morning she didn't even intend to question her. But then they bumped into one another and she saw the list of fairy tale characters among Tamara's things. She used her lie detection abilities to grill Tamara and she was suspicious of her from then on. Aleera had been on the right track. After she left the diner she went to Aleera's house to ask her what she knew. But before she got there Aleera had been on the phone with Regina trying to get her to help too.

"I need your help taking out Tamara," Aleera jumped right into it when Regina answered the phone.

"Who?" Regina asked. "Aleera is that you?"

"Yes it's me," Aleera groaned. "Tamara is my brother's fiancé, she's evil and I need to stop her."

"Stop her from doing what?" Regina asked as she flipped through paperwork. "Not wearing white?"

"I'm giving you a free pass to kill someone, and you aren't taking it!" Aleera exclaimed.

"I can't even take you seriously right now!" Regina said. She looked up at the beans in the portable greenhouse. And then she pinched her nose and squeezed her eyes shut. "I don't have time to listen to you being jealous that your brother is giving some other woman attention."

"You're going to regret this," Aleera told her. "I've seen parts of the future and it doesn't end well for either of us. I don't want you to kill. I didn't mean that. But I need to do something about her and I need all the help I can get."

"I'm sorry, I can't," Regina said. And then she hung up. She felt bad, but she was at risk for being imprisoned by the Charming's and she needed to get Henry back. A little while after, Emma came to Aleera's house.

Aleera explained her power and what she sensed. She described the interactions she had with Tamara. And Emma respected her instinct that something was wrong. She left even surer that something was up with Tamara. Emma tried to convince her mother but Mary Margaret accused her of having feelings for Neal. But Henry jumped on board and they started staking out the couple to get into his room. Meanwhile, Aleera was tracking the evil energy around town.

She found that there had been more border crossings than there should be considering only a few people could leave. She also sensed some threats against her father along with the other people who were in danger. Those other people were Snow, David, Regina, and Emma. There was also a 6th person but she couldn't sense whom. She needed to gather everyone together to talk about this.

She went to look for Regina first. She tracked her to the Storybrooke library. But after she got to the elevator, she could not sense her there or, anywhere else. She knew Regina had gone down the elevator. But her magic hadn't gone past that. She was about to call up the elevator so she could go down, but then she got hit on the back of the head. She fell face forward on the ground. Tamara, Greg Mendel, and Hook had been in there waiting for Regina to come up.

"What do we do with her?" Hook asked.

"Kill her now and she can't get in our way anymore," Greg said.

But then they heard the elevator ding. Regina was coming up. Greg and Tamara grabbed Aleera and dragged her off to one of the dark corners. Hook waited by the help desk to greet Regina. The reason Aleera couldn't track Regina past the elevator was because of the cuff.

"You're Tamara," Regina said when the woman came up to her with the bag. After the trio had done their bit about how she was screwed.

"Yes," Tamara replied, but then bagged her without another word.

As Regina lay on the rack overnight in the cannery, she kicked herself for not listening to her sister. Aleera awoke hours later. She had a vision that the doom of her loved ones had started. There would be three parts and the first one was going on. All three people were blood related to her. Regina was the first person. That left Rumple, Neal, and Henry.
