A/N – My God I don't know what to even say about Echo House….like I seriously don't even know. The only thing I know for certain with my entire being is that Dylan O'brien is all kinds of sexy and I am a very jealous girl right now. Meh.

Once again, thank you for all of the reviews! New and old, I appreciate everyone who takes time to write something! (PS thank you to Shadowblade217 for catching something for me! ENJOY! REVIEW!

Scott and Derek ran along Isaac's gurney as they wheeled him into the hospital. They were pushed back by a nurse as he went straight into an operating room. They huffed in annoyance as they walked down towards a quiet area.

"Scott, I haven't seen any sign of Emily. What if Stiles did something to her?" Derek asked.

"No, Stiles would never hurt Emily" Scott said sternly. Suddenly, his ears picked something up. He tuned the rest of the world out and listened for the familiar sound. A familiar heartbeat. "Wait…I can hear her."

He took off running down the hallway. He skidded to a stop in front of a supply closet. He tried to open it, but it was locked. Derek pushed Scott to the side and kicked the door in. They ran inside and saw Emily's limp form slumped in the corner. Derek was at her side in a second and started to shake her awake.

"He would never hurt her, huh?" Derek said as he barely contained his anger. "Come on, Em. Wake up!"

Suddenly, her eyes flew open as she took a deep breath. She clutched the bruises on her throat as she coughed slightly. Derek helped her sit up and he rubbed her back until she stopped gasping.

"Stiles did this, didn't he?" Derek asked with a murderous tone. She looked away as her hands shook slightly.

"That's not fair. It wasn't really him" she whispered with a hoarse voice. Derek couldn't believe her. Even when she saw the evil within him with her own eyes, she still couldn't admit to herself that something had to be done.

"Listen to yourself! You keep making excuses!" Derek yelled. Her eyes darkened as she turned away.

She pushed Derek away and got to her feet. But as soon as she was up, she swayed and her knees gave out. Scott caught her before she could hit the floor.

"God, Emily. When was the last time you slept?" Scott asked with concern. She looked at him in confusion then turned away.

"I don't know" she said in a small voice. Her eyes felt incredibly heavy as she fought to stay awake.

"I'm taking her back to my place" Derek said as he lifted Emily into his arms. She tried to push him away, but the exhaustion was taking over too quickly.

She was vaguely aware of entering the bright hallway before she fell back to sleep.

Derek watched as Emily slept curled up on his bed. No matter what happened, she still was putting everyone else before her own well-being. It had gotten to the point that she wasn't even taking care of herself anymore. Instead, she was putting everyone else's needs before her own.

He walked over to his couch and grabbed his jacket. He had work to do, but he didn't bother to wake Emily up. She would wake up when she was ready. He walked to the door and cast one last look in her direction before leaving the loft.

Emily groaned as she heard her phone ring. She blindly felt around for it and answered it.

"Yeah?"

"Emily! Wake up! We need your help!" Scott shouted on the other line. She sat up in the bed and looked around. She was in utter confusion.

"Scott? Why-why am I at Derek's? What's going on?" she asked as sleep still laced her voice.

"We found Stiles. Meet us on the cross country trails. But Emily…be careful."

"I'm on my way" she said before she ended the call.

With that, her eyes flashed and she disappeared.

When Emily reappeared, she was in the middle of the running trails. She took off towards the finish line. When she got there, she saw Stiles and Coach arguing.

She watched as Ethan and Scott took off in the direction of the running students. Stiles turned to her and a guilt-filled expression clouded his face when he laid eyes on her. His gaze flickered to the purple marks around her neck from where he choked her out. He took a slight step towards her, but she took a small step backwards. Pain flooded his eyes at the movement.

"Em, it's me" he whispered to her. She shook her head in response. Quite frankly, she just couldn't tell. She couldn't sense Stiles and she couldn't sense the dark energy.

Aiden also noticed her hesitation. He took a step between Stiles and Emily. Stiles gave him a dirty look as he started at him, but Aiden merely put a hand up and halted him.

"Stop it. This is not the time for this. And honestly, I don't think you should be going anywhere near her" he said venomously.

Coach watched the exchange curiously. Emily rolled her eyes and pulled Aiden's arm as she started to take off in the same direction as Scott and Ethan. As they approached the danger zone, they skidded to a stop.

"Scott! Scott! Stop! Everyone stop!" Stiles yelled as the mass of teenagers ran towards them. Everyone stopped dead at his command.

The group watched as Stiles looked at the ground. He noticed something under the leaves. He grabbed a metal ring and carefully pulled it up. When he reached the end, he looked bewildered at the simple chain. Emily couldn't figure him out. He acted so innocent, so confused. But there was still something empty about him. But was it evil?

"Congratulations, Stilinski" Coach said sarcastically as he slow clapped a few times. "You found a length of chain. Somebody now please tell me what the hell is going on?"

Coach took a few steps forward. Emily looked to the ground as a white line was stretched taut a few inches off of the ground. As Coach took one last step, his foot caught on the wire.

"Coach, look out!" she screamed.

But it was too late. An arrow whizzed through the air and caught Coach right in the gut. He grunted as he looked down at his stomach.

"Crap" he muttered right before he hit the ground. All the runners surrounded him as Aiden, Scott, Stiles, and Emily knelt at his side.

Stiles put his hands around the arrow in an attempt to put pressure on the wound. Scott held onto one arm as Aiden took the other in an attempt to keep him calm. He was thrashing all around and screaming excessively.

"Get it out of me! Get it out of me! Get it out of me!" he screamed. The boys tried to hold him down but he kept trying to sit up.

"Coach!" Stiles yelled.

"I'm gonna die! Get it out of me!" Coach screamed. Emily had the urge to slap some sense into him, but decided it probably wouldn't be a good idea. So, she just sat near his head and tried to keep the other students back.

"Coach, Coach! You're not gonna die!" Stiles yelled back.

"I'm gonna die!" Coach obviously wasn't listening as his eyes widened in terror at the arrow protruding from his gut.

"It'll hurt less if you quit moving!" Aiden tried. He exchanged a glance with the others as he pushed Coach back down. "Coach just stay still. An ambulance is coming!"

"Get it out of me!" Coach chorused.

"Get back! Give him some room!" Aiden yelled at the rest of the group as they tried to get a better look. He waved his bloody hands in the air as he tried to get them to back up. They simultaneously took a few steps back.

Stiles nodded at Scott as he grasped Coach's hand tight. Black veins appeared through Scott's arm as he quietly grunted in pain. He let out harsh breaths as he pulled back and Coach finally quieted.

"I think he just passed out" Aiden said.

Stiles fell back as he looked at his blood covered hands. Emily could sense an overwhelming feeling of fear coming from him.

"I could've killed him" he said in a quivering voice. "It could have been his heart or his head."

"But it wasn't. He's going to be fine" Scott reassured him.

Aiden cast a dark glare at Stiles as they looked up at the sudden sound of sirens.

"That's the ambulance" he said.

"And my dad" Stiles added in despair.

The group stood up as the paramedics took over. Emily went to go talk to Stiles, but was intersected by Aiden. He pulled her away and wouldn't let her go.

"Hey!" she yelled. "Knock it off. I have to talk to Stiles!"

"I'm not so sure if that's a good idea. Don't forget what he did to you last night" he said as he eyed the bruises on her neck. She self-consciously brushed her throat in response to his gaze.

"And don't you think I'd be the best judge to see if it's really him? But you won't let me get close enough to figure it out!" she countered.

"Listen, we don't know what he's capable of. And the last time I checked, he was deadly" Aiden said. Emily looked past him as Stiles and his dad embraced.

"Does that look deadly to you?" she snapped as she pushed past him. He grabbed her and pushed her against a tree.

Suddenly, her eyes flashed and she pushed him to the ground. She sat on top of him smirked down. But just as easily as her eyes changed, his burned blue and his fangs came out. He flipped them again and pinned her wrists to the ground. He let out a low growl before he was suddenly thrown off of her.

Ethan stood over her and held out a hand. She took it and he hoisted her off the forest floor. She dusted the leaves off of her clothes as Aiden jumped up as well.

"What my tactless brother is trying to say is we're just trying to look out for you. So please, just humor us. Don't do anything without someone around. Okay?" he asked kindly. Emily eyed him for a moment before giving a short nod.

Emily walked over to Scott as both twins walked on either side of her. Scott's eyebrows rose in curiosity, but she merely rolled her eyes and shook her head. Ethan paused at the back of Stiles jeep and looked inside.

"Scott" he called. "You better come take a look at this."

The twins, Scott, and Emily all examined the duffel bag. Scott pulled a roll of wrapping paper from the bag.

"This is the same paper we used on Coach's present" he muttered.

"Isn't that Barrow's thing? To wrap a bomb up as a birthday present? Where'd it go off?" Ethan asked in alarm. Scott turned back to look at Stiles as realization dawned upon him.

"A school bus" he gasped.

"Oh God" Emily cried softly.

The jeep screeched to a stop at the back of the school. Kids were running everywhere in panic as more cop cars pulled up. The sheriff jumped out of his squad and ran over to a deputy.

"Get these kids clear!" he ordered.

Scott and Stiles hopped out of the front seat as Emily wiggle in her spot between the twins. Once they were all unloaded, they joined the rest of the school as they watched the lines of buses.

There was silence as a certified bomb tech looked at the sheriff. He carefully stepped up onto the bus as the group held their breath. Aiden glanced at Stiles who watched with a slightly open mouth.

"So what's the plan, Stiles? What's the point of blowing up a school bus?" Aiden asked. Stiles sent him a dirty look before turning his gaze back to the buses.

"I don't know" he whispered as his voice cracked.

Emily elbowed Aiden in the gut. He looked down at her as she glared up at him.

"Quit it" she whispered. Stiles eyed the interaction with a strange look on his face. But before anyone could notice, he turned back to the commotion in front of them.

"It's not a bomb, sir. But there is something in the box" the deputy's voice crackled through the sheriff's radio. The deputy appeared at the front of the bus and held something up in the windshield.

Emily felt her stomach drop as she realized what it meant. When Stiles and Scott realized it too, they exchanged a quick glance.

"Oh God, there is a bomb. But not here" the sheriff muttered as he turned around.

The sheriff turned on his heel and ran to his vehicle. Scott, Emily, and Stiles ran after him and jumped into the jeep. They followed him to the police station and ran inside.

The interior of the station was completely destroyed. Debris was everywhere and officers here scrambling around. People were crying and screaming as they clutched their ears.

"We need ambulances at the Sheriff's Station. We have multiple officers down. We need ambulances ASAP!" the sheriff yelled into his walkie.

Stiles and Scott fell to their knees next to a very injured officer. Emily looked around at the destruction around her. The chaos and fear were starting to get overwhelming. She spotted Mr. Argent helping a hurt Derek up. She gasped and rushed over to him. She turned him slightly and saw that there was glass imbedded into his entire back.

"Derek!" she screeched at the sight. He looked down at her, slightly dazed.

"I'm alright" he slurred as he panted.

"You saved my life" Mr. Argent said in awe. They sat Derek down on the bench as Emily brushed his hair softly.

Suddenly, Emily heard the sheriff yelling at Stiles and Scott to leave. Stiles was casting a broken glance at the dead deputy before them. Scott grabbed him by the arm and pulled him backwards. Kira ran through the door and appeared in front of them.

"The Oni! They're coming!" she said breathlessly.

"Stiles! We've got to get you out of here!" Scott said desperately. Stiles cast one last glance at the room before following.

"Go" Mr. Argent told Emily. "Keep him safe. I'll take care of Derek."

She nodded graciously before running after the others.

When the jeep halted outside of the animal clinic, the teens jumped out. Just as they got to the doors, they saw three Oni come out of the night. Scott turned back to Stiles and threw him the keys.

"Get inside!" he ordered. Stiles turned back to the door and started looking for the right key.

Scott wolfed out and let out a roar. The Oni attacked as Stiles got the door open. Kira found herself mesmerized by the fight. Stiles paused before going in.

"Hey Kira, get inside!" he yelled.

She tried throwing animal cages at the Oni but it obviously did nothing. One went to strike her, but she grabbed its arm and flipped it. She looked surprised but grabbed a pipe and started swinging.

When Emily saw that Kira was able to help Scott fight the Oni, she pulled Stiles inside the clinic. She led the way towards the main examination room. But when she turned on the light and took a step through the door, a whizzing sounded through the room.

Emily screamed as she was suddenly struck by a white hot pain at the top of her arm, right before it connected to her shoulder. She was forced a few steps back as her knees gave out. Stiles had his arm around her waist and threw her good arm around his shoulders. He dragged her over to an examination table and hoisted her up onto it and laid her down.

"Oh my God, Emily!" he cried as he watched the blood gush from her arm. Her face was getting paler by the second as she looked down at both ends of the arrow visible through her arm. She cringed and looked back up to Stiles. There was something in his expression. Such sincerity and concern. She knew it was him. There was nothing evil in his eyes.

"Stiles, something's not right. I think it hit an artery or something. My head feels like it's made of lead" she said as her eye lids felt extremely heavy.

"I know you haven't been sure about me today. But, please! Do you trust me?" Stiles asked looked down at her with worry. He grasped the arrow gently as he kept his gaze locked on her eyes.

"Always" she whispered.

She watched as he nodded and prepared to pull the arrow out. But his eyes suddenly darkened and a wicked grin spread across his face.

"Well, you shouldn't" he said evilly.

Stiles yanked the arrow out of her arm just until the tip touched the back of her arm before thrusting it back in until the feathers brushed the front of her arm. She let out a bloodcurdling scream as he repeated the process over and over.

"Stiles?" she asked with a voice laced with pain.

"Nope, not Stiles. In fact, Stiles hasn't been in control for a long, long time. The twins really did us a favor today. They hardly let you near us. That made it so much easier to fool you" Stiles said in a voice that wasn't entirely his own.

"You let him go, you evil son of a bitch!" she yelled through gritted teeth. Even through the excruciating pain, Stiles was still her ultimate priority.

"Now, now Emily. Didn't mommy ever teach you it's not polite to cuss? Oh wait that's right. Mommy's dead" he taunted as he pushed the arrow forward again.

"You know the best part of all this? That Stiles was taken as the host? You would never hurt him. Even if it is to stop us, you would never lay a hand on us because it would hurt him too. And even though he is fighting us right now, and we mean really fighting, he can't do anything about it. He's ours" Stiles said as his eyes darkened even more.

Emily looked up at him in betrayal. She searched for any sign that Stiles was still inside, but couldn't find a single flicker.

"The funny thing is that you didn't even see it coming. Sure, you may have suspected that Stiles wasn't right, but you probably chalked it up to his damaged brain. You just couldn't tell who was in control. Why do you think you couldn't figure it out?" he asked wickedly.

Emily didn't look into his eyes as she realized he was right. She should have known that he was processed.

"It's because, for the first time in your life, you found someone who loved you unconditionally. And you didn't want to screw that up. You were so desperate to love someone and to have someone love you that you were willing to put everyone you know in danger. How selfish of you, Emily. The fact that you are so scared of no one loving you is your soft spot. It's your weakness."

At his words, Emily tried to struggle out of his grasp. But one sharp tug stilled her instantly as she bit her lip as to not cry out in pain.

"Ah, ah, ah, play nice. You know it's the truth. You also know what we crave. Pain, fear, suffering… chaos! And you just happen to have all those emotions pent up. That empathy of yours was collecting these emotions when you didn't have control of your powers. You thought it all just went away, but it's still bottled up inside you. You are a walking beacon for emotions. Now, give it all to me" Stiles said as he grasped the sides of her face.

Emily felt all the emotions drain from her along with her strength. The combination of the blood loss and Stiles' affects had her on the verge of unconsciousness. She felt dazed as he pulled away when they heard Kira drag Scott into the room.

"What happened to her? We heard screaming!" Scott said as he saw the blood-covered Emily on the table.

"Scott" Emily barely whispered as her eyes fought to stay open. Stiles looked down at her before stepping in front of her and blocked her view of Scott. She tried to sit up, but she could barely move a muscle.

"Scott, thank God! I don't know! An arrow just came out of nowhere. She must have tripped a wire. I should have known! She's really bad, man" Stiles said desperately. Scott didn't even take a second glance at his friend. He too was completely oblivious that Stiles was processed.

"Scott, it's not…" Emily said as her strength left her and black colored her vision. She blinked a few times, and her vision came back into focus again before blurring out.

Emily watched as Stiles gave her an evil grin. As Kira began to pull the sword out of Scott's gut, Stiles gripped her wrist tight. They looked at him in confusion as he stared back with dark eyes. He used her momentum to knock her head against the table before she fell to the floor.

"Stiles! Stop, please!" Emily cried as loudly as she could manage.

He looked down at her and grasped her hair. Suddenly, she realized what animal had a face so wicked. It was the face of a fox.

"I told you not to trust me" he growled. He picked her head up then slammed it down with all his might.

And her world went black.
