TeamChaosHunters: Wooooooooooow. I get the feeling Shadow would've shot you sooner though. ;P Yeah, a Super Mecha Sonic would probably be worshiped a lot. Would he even change color though? I mean he would just be using the power, not harnessing it like the organic Sonic.

A shooting star passed through the sky, a golden light surrounding it.

Sonia and Manic watched it, wondering when their brother would be coming back.

Tails however, already knew the answer, "Sonic!"

The two hedgehogs next to him spun toward him, "Huh?"

"That light is Sonic! He's falling!" Tails ran forward, spinning his tails and soring into the sky. Sonia took a step to try and stop him, but stopped before she reached him. He was raised Sonic, he was probably just as stubborn.

And she didn't need to look behind her to know that their adoptive parents looked completely shocked.

Tails flew as quickly as he could but he knew he couldn't make it to him. Tears started forming in his eyes. He had been in situations like this before. He should be used to them by now. But now, all that experience flew out the window. He had been through a lot the last few days. The party. The siblings' arrival. The kidnapping. Right now he just wanted his big brother back. "Sonic!"

Black. Everything was black. There was no end. No light, no color, nothing.

And Sonic was in the middle of it.

He was lost. He wasn't sure how long he had been here. Just that it was black. The scene didn't change as he walked through it. There was no way out. Nothing he could do.

"Sonic!"

Tails. Tails was out there. He couldn't give up.

He started running. Faster and faster, not seeming to make any headway. But just as he was about to break through the sound barrier a light appeared in the distance. A light in the darkness. And he was going after it.

His eyes flashed open, revealing the scenery before him. Scenery that was moving.

Sonic focused on stopping as hard as he could. He did not want his head stuck in the ground. Again.

He shut his eyes, all his energy focused on flying again. Only when he had stopped that he allowed his eyes to open. He only squinted them at first, afraid that he would see dirt in his face, but completely opened them when he saw the blue sky instead. It was rare to see the sky at all in Robotropilis.

He smiled. 'Guess it's my lucky day.'

He heard what sounded like propellers and smiled even more as a furry blur attacked him. "You're okay!"

"Hey there buddy!" he locked his friend and little brother under his arm, "Of course I'm okay. You forget who you're talking to?"

The fox laughed as he fought against his older rival, "No. But you manage to come very close to death on a regular basis."

He managed to break away from the hedgehog as he was laughing, "Key word 'close'. I'm still alive n' kickin'! Now come on!" he pointed toward the crowd behind them, "Race ya!"

He bolted away, a flash of gold, and waved from a few miles away. Tails smiled and flew after him full speed, attempting to tackle him again. When he reached him though, the hedgehog simply moved to the side and let him fly past him. When the fox backtracked to try again he was gone. Tails blinked before realizing what happened and turned back around to see Sonic grinning mischiefly behind him.

Tails flew at Sonic, chasing him for a few minutes before he let the fox catch him. They tumbled through the air, laughing all the way. When they finally stopped over their friends, they all started cheering.

Sonic waved at them, then remembering his siblings flew over to them amongst the crowd. Manic was the first to greet him, "Yet another thing you forgot to tell us."

The golden hedgehog chuckled nervously and rubbed the back of his head, "Sorry."

"How long can you stay in that form? Can you even come out of it?" Sonia asked.

"Yes I can come out of it. It doesn't last forever. I run out of energy." Sonic looked down at himself, as if summing up the form. "If I had to guess, I'd say it'll run out about…" suddenly his quills changed back to their natural blue and his eyes returned to the emerald orbs they were meant to be. This also meant that Sonic fell to the ground. He was about twelve feet off the ground. "Ow! Now."

Sonia started giggling while Manic bent over in laughter. Sonic heard his friends doing the same behind him. Even he had to join in. It was pretty funny. Even if it did hurt.

"One more thing," Sonia said as she stopped laughing, "How did you de-robotize the city?"

"Huh?" Sonic's smile was wiped off his face and replaced by a look of confusion, "What are you-?"

"Wait." Manic interrupted, "You mean you didn't mean to de-robotize them?"

"Uh." Sonic still looked slightly confused, "The chaos emeralds can be kinda… unpredictable sometimes."

Sonia moved her palm to her face, "Then why do you use them?"

"They work don't they?" Sonic winked at his sister, "They haven't let me down yet."

"What about when Dingo got ahold of one." Manic pointed out, "You couldn't have been proud of that one."

"Okay. One time."

The three laughed, although the rest of the group was confused by the statement.

"Hey," Sonic snapped his fingers, "Why don't we go look for your adoptive parents?"

"We already found them," Sonia told him, a warm smile spreading across her face, "And someone else too."

Sonic looked baffled for a few seconds. Then dawning came onto his face as he realized what she meant. "You mean….?"

The two moved to the side allowing him to see the blue hedgehog robot behind them. Sonic had to fight off tears.

He ran up to his uncle at supersonic speed and hugged him tightly. When he broke away he had to wipe his eyes, 'Stupid tears.'

"Hey there Sonny boy."

"Hey Unc."

Chuck ran his hand through Sonic's spines. His hand felt cold and metallic but he didn't care. "You've grown up quite a bit since I last saw you."

"Maybe on the outside, but on the inside I'm not too sure." The two laughed, his friends quietly joining in in the background. It was true.

But there was a certain laugh Sonic didn't want to hear. "Ho ho ho ho ho!"

Sonic slowly turned around to see Dr. Eggman in another new robot. "Oh great."

"Oh sorry, am I interrupting?" Eggman asked with fake sincerity.

"Since when do you not?" Sonic retorted, gazing up at the doctor, "What's the new toy?"

"This," he motioned to the robot he was riding, "Is the Egg Minotaur!"

The bot was about twenty feet tall. The two part of it were clearly meant to separate. The bottom half had think legs with different hatches along it for different weapons with treads for its feet. The top was decorated in fake brown fur (Which seemed very tacky to Sonic). It had no hands so he assumed that different types of missiles and projectiles came out of it. There was also poorly hidden rockets underneath the fur on both sides of its waist. At the very top, Eggman had his egg-mobile in the place where its head should have been with horns sticking out of both sides.

Sonic calmly started walking up to the robot. Not bothered at all by its size or weapon count. "My turn guys."

Tails ran up beside him and walked toward it with him, "Can't let you get into too much trouble."

Sonic chuckled at his joke, then an idea came to him. Tails could tell from the way his eyes glinted. "How about we all join in on the fun?" Sonic said, "Yo Knux! Come here."

The echidna did so and Sonic whispered in his ear. Tails started to worry when he saw the smile on Knuckles's face. He nodded then headed back to the group and started talking, though they couldn't hear him from where they were.

"What did you-?"

"You'll see." Sonic held up a thumbs up to his friend, "Trust me."

"It's when you say stuff like that that I get worried."

"Excuse me!" the two turned to see Eggman looking very annoyed at them, "I'm still here."

"Yes. Unfortunately you are."

"You little- You really are an annoying little pest."

The hedgehog tool a bow, "Thank you. Thank you."

Tails rolled his eyes, "You really haven't grown up."

"Nope."

"Stop ignoring me you brats!"

Sonic sighed, shaking his head, "Cranky today, aren't we?"

He could see Eggman's grip around the control stick tighten and even the vain that came out when he really annoyed him. He had named it the Egg Vein. He thought he'd be just as uncreative with name as the man himself.

"I'm sick of your childish taunting! I will finish you here and now!" he pushed a button and one of the leg's hatches came open, revealing a laser gun that started shooting at the hedgehog.

"Because that has worked for you so well in the past." Sonic mocked as he dodged the laser. "In fact, you were probably the reason I met all of my friends."

Eggman gave him a curious look but said nothing.

"I met Tails on Westside Island after my first adventure in Green Hill." As he said it Tails hit Eggman's robot from behind.

"Then I met Knuckles when you tricked him into thinking I was an enemy. But in the end we ended up kicking your butt anyway." Knuckles came out of the ground right below the Egg Minotaur, punching it so hard that it almost fell over.

Tails could see what Sonic was doing now.

"I met Amy when your cheap copy of me kidnaped her and I had to save her." Amy flew down out of nowhere and knocked off one of its horns, startling Eggman. Sonic caught her on her way down.

If you looked up though, you could see she didn't come out of nowhere. "Then I met Cream and her mother when you kidnapped them and Cream helped us fight you." The rabbit threw a small light blue ball at the other horn, which unraveled to reveal Cheese the chao.

"Chao!"

"After that there was Rouge when she was tricking you into thinking she was on your side and tried to steal the master emerald for the first time." The white bat flew in, starting the tornado drill attack at one of it legs.

"And Shadow when you released him and he tried to kill me. And then presumably died when he helped me save the world, but didn't." said hedgehog appeared in front of the machine, shooting multiple chaos spears at its chest.

"The Chaotix when your copy betrayed you and tried to take over the world on its own." Vector jumped in and started shooting flames at the un-weakened leg while Charmy buzzed above him yelling encouragement. Espio appeared behind it and started throwing his knifes at certain points of its back to disable it.

"Enough!" The doctor lifted his fist and slammed it down on a large purple button.

'Isn't it supposed to be red?" Sonic thought.

The robot split in half, the engines on its sides bursting to life, and started to hover in the air. The bottom, having been beat so bad, just fell to the ground useless.

"I will end this now!"

"Suuuuuuuure you will." Sonic took a few steps back and charged forward, becoming a blue blur and jumped, colliding right in the middle of its chest. Coming out of the other side as a spiny ball.

He came out just as the robot started exploding. He glanced behind him, barely turning his head, and saw Eggman push a large red button and fly away as his egg-mobile popped our of the mangled robot. 'Oh. That's why it wasn't red.'

"This is not over rodent! I will destroy you and I will rule all of the world!"

"Yeah yeah. Whatever." He heard many gasps behind him at his reaction. Most people would be trembling at a threat like that from Robotnik. "You say that every time."

The only reply was a growl as the mad scientist flew off back to his base.

Sonic wasn't done yet. He looked around and found a small piece of rubble and picked it up. He took a moment to aim then started spin dashing in place with it still in his hand. When he came out he threw it at Eggman's engines with triple the force. When it connected he could see a small explosion and hear Eggman yelling as he spiraled out of control. 'Works every time.'

Sonia and Manic rushed up to him when he had disappeared out of sight, their eyes as big as saucers. "That thing was huge!" Manic was freaking out just a little. "And you took it out like it was nothing!"

"Well I did have some help." He turned to his friends, giving them his signature thumbs up that the all returned. Even Shadow.

"And it happens every other day!"

Sonic's thumbs up turned into a face palm. Vector covered Charmy's mouth which, considering the size of his hand, covered his entire face in the process. He apparently doesn't get the 'over protective siblings' thing.

"Every other day?"

"He makes those bots every other day?"

"That's a bit of an exaggeration," Sonic looked upward, away from their eyes, "But yeah. It happens a lot."

"How does he even have that much money outside of Robotropilis?"

"How much does he do it exactly?"

"Has he ever seriously damaged you before?"

"Guys chill," Sonic made eye contact with them, smiling, "I promise to tell you everything. Everything." 'Except werehog. Let's leave that for last.' He added in his mind.

Meanwhile, a certain hedgehog watched from the shadows. A single tears trailing down her face, passing the smile she wore.

"Be brave my children. I'll always love you."
