Rebirth and Redemption
The trio consisting of Cameron, Vesta and Zavanna were running through a stone hallway in the tower after leaving the lab they found Zavanna in.
"So, what are we going to do once we get out of here?" Cameron asked.
"Wait, you don't know?" Vesta inquired. "I thought you were the leader."
Cameron playfully shrugged. "Sorry, I'm not the one. Anyway, what's the plan Zavanna?"
"Well… stopping the Fabregans seems obvious, but I am not sure what Draconoid is trying to tell me…"
Cameron stopped running in the hall, prompting the two girls beside him to do the same. "Well, what did the vision look like?"
Zavanna focused back to the vision that was given to her by Draconoid.
Zavanna woke up inside of what looked like a destroyed castle that was covered by an intense fog. Looked at what seemed like an ancient summoning altar with colours representing the six different attributes lined up in a hexagonal circle with a white orb in the centre.
"Where am I?" Zavanna said to herself. "I have never seen or heard of this place before. Hello! Is anyone out there?" A light footstep by a creature was made, causing Zavanna to turn around. Behind her was the regal and majestic figure of Draconoid. "D-Draconoid?"
"There isn't a lot of time my dear. So I will make this brief. I have found them, the ones that can restore my form. You must bring them here so I can become whole." Draconoid said in a voice that reflected the warm personality of the Dragonoid.
"W-wait… who must I bring here? Please tell me what to do!" Zavanna yelled.
Draconoid started to fade into the fog. "I believe you already know the answer, I know you will not fail me."
"D-Draconoid! No, come back!"
Zavanna finished telling them what had happened in her vision and Cameron was purely stumped. "I'm not sure what that vision means, but you think we're closer to saving Draconoid?" Cameron asked.
Zavanna wasn't sure what to make of the vision but she could see that Cameron was looking to her for the answers… answers that she couldn't come up with. "I-I do not know Cameron, I need to think about this for a while so I can figure it out."
"Okay, I get it." Cameron cheerfully said. He started walk forward expecting the girls to follow him.
"Hmm, he seems cheerful. Solaria like him." Solaria said rolling on Vesta's shoulder.
Vesta gave a look of slight suspicion to the Fabregan. "Hey, do you really have our backs? I mean you are one of them so you can see why I'd be weary of you. Plus you threatened to hurt Cameron because you didn't remember him. Now suddenly, you remember him. Forgive me if I seem suspicious."
Zavanna looked down in a sort of shameful stance. "I understand if you don't trust me, but I'm telling the truth when I say I want to stop the Fabregans. Our planet is dying and Draconoid is the only one who can save it and I will do anything to save my home."
"Including teaming up with 'lousy human trash'?" Vesta asked using air quotes.
"I honestly did not mean that. It was just a reflex, we Fabregans are taught that all alien races are inferior to us. It was because they tried to wipe my memory, but it did not work, maybe because Cameron has been so nice to me. I do not think I could forget him, not even if the Fabregans forced me to." Zavanna said while her white cheeks were turning a rose colour.
"I think it's deeper than that." Vesta hypothesized and playfully smirked afterwards. "You like him, don't you?"
Zavanna's whole face warmed up and she tried to cover her face with her long dark hair. "I-I do not get w-what y-you are saying."
Vesta pats Zavanna's shoulder. "Heh, don't worry. Your secret is safe with me."
"Thank you."
"Hey!" Cameron yelled. "What are you two talking about over there?"
"N-nothing, d-do not leave me behind!" Zavanna ran to follow close behind Cameron and Vesta scratched the back of her head.
"Solaria, what did we just get ourselves into?" Vesta asked with a sigh that finished her question.
"I dunno. All I know is that, that girl's in love! We should tell Cameron!" Solaria happily shrieked as she spun on Vesta's shoulder.
Vesta shook her head. "No we shouldn't I mean you saw how nervous she was, she's probably under a lot of stress and she probably doesn't even know she likes him. We should let things progress naturally."
"Aw… you're no fun…" Solaria closed her ball form afterwards.
Jayden and Aisha hadn't moved since the end of their battle, Aisha was still holding onto Jayden for emotional support. Jayden was just stroking her back, not wanting to embrace her as he was still weary if Aisha would appreciate it or not. "Aisha… I really don't mean to rush you, but we need to move. As long as we are in this tower, we're not safe."
Jayden could feel Aisha nodding and she lightly got off him and sat on her knees while looking down. Jayden got to his feet, dusted himself off, and saw that Aisha hadn't gotten up yet. He outstretched his hand to help her up to which she silently accepted. "T-thank you…" Aisha said in a soft, weak voice. He could see the dry tear stains on her cheeks
"No problem, we should probably get out of here before any Fabregans find us huh."
"I-I…I Jayden…"
"What is it? Something on your mind?"
"Jayden… I don't deserve to be part of this team… after what I did… what I was about to do… oh goodness I tried to kill you… " when she realized this, she covered her mouth with her palms in shock.
"Aisha…"
Aisha couldn't even look Jayden in the eye; she was looking to the floor while she spoke. "Not only am I weak in battle. I'm also weak minded, I just joined the Fabregans and I didn't even think about how everyone else would feel. Jayden, I'm so sorry!" she apologized with fresh tears ejecting from her eyes.
Velocirex opened on Jayden's shoulder. "Look, it's okay now. We're all okay, you're safe and so is Jayden and that's all that matters."
"You should stop hating yourself Aisha, you're a wonderful person. It's just a shame it took me this long to notice." Jayden said. "The Fabregans messed with your head, and they used your anger at me to push you to do what you did."
"B-but, how can you forgive me so easily?"
"Because it's my fault you ended up here in the first place." Aisha still looked down. "Come on, don't look so down. Someone has missed you." He outstretched his hand and opened it and on his hand was Bearth's closed form.
"Aisha…" Bearth opened his ball form before saying her name.
"Bearth…" Aisha took Bearth with her two hands and her voice was becoming raspy. "I'm so s-sorry… I abandoned you. I must have caused you so much trouble, I understand if you don't want to be my partner anymore."
Bearth shushed her. "You blame yourself too much. I'm glad you are alright."
Aisha gave a silent nod and placed him close to her cheek. She was glad to be reunited with Bearth and even more glad that he still wants to be with her.
"So, are we ready to go?" Jayden said and a timid nod was made by Aisha. Before they continued to move, she grabbed the sleeves of his jacket on his right arm. "What is it, Aisha?" Aisha quickly let go and shook her head, almost to say: 'It's nothing'. "If something's on your mind, Aisha you should say it."
"It's nothing important, honest."
"Okay, but look if there is anything you want to get off your chest. Just tell me about it, I said I was going to be there for you and I don't plan on going back on that." Aisha blushed before looking away from him. She followed behind Jayden though the long hallway.
Back with Cameron, Vesta and Zavannna; they were now in an ancient hallway full of statues of Fabregans dressed in different attire with Bakugan scaled down to their size beside them.
"Hey, Zavanna? Where are we?" Cameron asked.
"I do not know the exact name of the room if that is what you were asking but the statues we are seeing are showing popular and powerful Fabregan figures at the time." Zavanna stopped at a statue that showed a woman with elf ears and long hair standing by a Bakugan that looked like Scorchiree, just without the arm blades. "Who is that woman... and why do I feel like I know her...?"
"Woah, are their Bakugan that small?" Cameron asked, interrupting Zavanna's thoughts.
"They are not to scale, Cameron." Blazeon said.
Cameron laughed awkwardly. "Haha, y-yeah I knew that."
As they walked through the hall, they could see a lone figure lying down on his back with a closed Bakugan on the figure's side.
"Hey, isn't that..." Cameron asked.
"GARFIELD!" Vesta screamed, Cameron realized that the lone figure was in fact the Aquos battler that they entered this place with. Vesta runs to him, kneels to his body, and sees that his eyes were open and he was staring at the ceiling. His eyes were still pale blue orbs. "Garfield, what happened." When she got no response, she was getting extremely worried. "Answer me!" she started to shake him but no response. "N-no, he's not…" she immediately pressed her left ear on his chest and felt his heart beating at a slow pace. She could hear him breathing and the final indication was him blinking his eyes to show that he was conscious. "Oh thank goodness… Garfield what happened to you?"
He didn't respond and just continued to stare at the ceiling. "It was Hikari…" the group of three saw that Aquafibian was standing in his open ball form. "Garfield held back and this led him to lose to Hikari, she also couldn't remember him which made it even more frustrating for him. After he lost, she told him that he was wasting his time and that the girl that he is looking for is gone."
Vesta lifted Garfield up to his feet and starts dusting him off. "There all better!" Garfield still didn't respond and this greatly concerned the blonde girl. She grabbed his hand and started dragging him as they followed closely behind Cameron and Zavanna. "Why is this happening? I mean weren't you and Hikari friends?"
Zavanna turned back to the pair. "Perhaps I can answer that, some Fabregans have powerful abilities outside of battling. I am thinking they may have reconditioned her so that she will forget Garfield ever existed."
"No…" the whisper came from Garfield though he wasn't looking at anyone.
"I am sorry, but what do you mean 'no'?" Zavanna asked.
"One of them told me… That they changed the timeline to make it so Hikari never made it to Earth, so she was recruited by the Fabregans before she met anyone on Earth. So she couldn't remember me or anyone."
Zavanna gasped. "But chrono-manipulation takes a huge toll on the Fabregan that uses it, but… I am sorry that this happened…"
Garfield started to walk ahead of everyone without uttering another word. "Hey, wait for us!" Vesta exclaimed. "She's probably somewhere in this tower, we can probably still get her back."
"No, it's over… we should just cut our losses and get out of here!" Garfield walked ahead of the group.
"We should stick close to him, I highly doubt he knows the way out, but it's dangerous to let him simply roam around this place." Blazeon said.
Vesta had a concerned look on her face regarding Garfield. "We can't leave yet. We still have to find Jayden and Aisha."
"Let us just hope that Jayden was able to find her." Cameron said with a worried expression.
Meanwhile within the tower, there was a large room where all the Fabregans sans Daro were standing. When he walked in, he glared at Aiden. "Aiden, the human that you tried to draft over to us has failed. Explain yourself right now!" he said with an annoyed tone.
"Relax, Daro. If anything this is a lesson to us, the humans are not as weak as we have made them out to be. Besides we still have the Gundalian on our side."
Andreas scoffed. "The humans aren't all that, they like to think they can do anything." He said with his arms folded.
Enki popped her head next to him with a smirk on her face. "You're just mad that one of them is stealing your girlfriend." She mocked.
"Shut your mouth!" he growled.
"Silence!" Daro exclaimed. "The humans are getting close to figuring out our plans, so I will handle their termination, and Zavanna will pay too for her betrayal."
"At least bring her back in one piece!" Andreas said. "She is still due to marry me!"
"Very well." Daro said before he left the room with a wicked smile. "The interference of these humans ends today!" his figure walked down the hall and his shadow that was trailing him in the very dim-lit hallway had grown into a scary figure indicating his inner fury.
Back with Jayden and Aisha, they had found their way into a large stone hallway with plenty of crumbling pillars and carvings in the walls.
They heard mumbling voices from a corner and were unable to tell the sources of the voices. Jayden stopped in front of Aisha and held his arm out in front of her. "There could be enemies, if they are Fabregans, we run the other way and look for another way out." Aisha just nodded in understanding. "A vocal answer would have been fine too." Aisha just looked to the ground, her bangs covering her eyes. Jayden waited till he saw shadows of the figures coming from the corner. When the shadows were getting closer, Aisha started shivering, she grabbed Jayden's right arm with both her arms, and she gave a slight whimper.
Coming out of the hallway was Cameron, Vesta, Zavanna with Garfield slowly trailing behind. Jayden and Aisha let out a big sigh.
"Hey, guys!" Jayden exclaimed calling out to them.
"Jayden you found Aisha!" Cameron exclaimed running to the pair with Zavanna on his tail.
"Yep, I won't go over the details as to what happened, but yeah. Velocirex and I had it under control the whole time." he said with a smug smile.
"And he's not lying this time to sound cool." Velocirex said while at the same time lightly mocking Jayden, causing his partner to give a slight glare at him.
Cameron looked to Aisha. "So, Aisha. Are you alright?" Aisha just nodded in response to his question. "Are you sure, you're usually not this quiet."
"Hey, let's give her a break. Aisha has been through a lot today." Jayden said which earned him a warm smile from the Subterra battler.
"Well in any case, we missed you Aisha. Glad to have you back!" Cameron said in his excited voice.
"Thank you…" she said with a weak whisper.
"Now that we found you, I can tell your sister to stop worrying about you." When Cameron said this, Aisha's eyes shrunk to the size of pellets.
"My… sister…?"
"Well yeah… she came over to my house and asked about you, but yeah she doesn't need to worry anymore right…?"
"Isla was worried about me? As if I wasn't enough of a burden…" she said under her breath.
"What?" Cameron questioned. Aisha lifted her head and shook it as if to let Cameron know that everything is fine, Cameron didn't know better so he believed her but Jayden wasn't buying it for a second. She was hurting and he knew it.
"Was Aisha hurting this much?" Jayden thought. He flashed back to when she left with Aiden and to when she commanded Mechasaurus to kill him. "Looking back, it starting to make sense… And now she won't even talk to anyone. She's feeling guilty and inadequate. I have to find a way to snap her out of it."
Suddenly Zavanna grabbed Cameron's arm. "U-uh Cameron, I suggest we all escape this tower before my former team mates find us."
"Oh, r-right. Guess seeing Aisha got me slightly side tracked." He looked at the pair. "So are we ready to go?"
"Yep, let's blow this place." Jayden said while Aisha nodded. Jayden noticed Garfield's glum expression. "Hey, what happened to him?"
"I'm still trying to figure that part out." Vesta said.
"As long as he sticks with us, we'll deal with everything else later." Jayden said.
The group of six continued to walk through the long hall with Cameron and Zavanna leading the way followed by Vesta and Garfield, then Jayden and Aisha.
"So Zavanna, what is with this place? I mean, why is this tower so weird?" Cameron asked.
"I've been wondering about that too." Jayden added. "So how about a little explanation."
"O-okay. I will try my best. Normally Fabregans place towers on different planets to serve as temporary bases. Normally these towers have two parts. The outer part of the tower it what you would expect from an ancient Fabregan tower, but where we are is actually the restricted part of the tower. This is where the true headquarters that Fabregan invaders like to use. The restricted part of the tower is actually made in a virtual space. This is so they can endlessly craft all the resources necessary from their fight against Earth."
"But, why do the Fabregans want to fight against us? We didn't do anything to them." Cameron said.
"You see, our species wants to invade and colonize every dimension possible so that we can prove our superiority to the universe. Also since Fabrega is dying, they want to find a new planet to colonize." Zavanna grabbed her left arm. "I personally am not proud of this, and there are a few others in my tribe who feel the same way but they hide their feelings for fear of abandonment and exile. I mean look at me, under the current Fabregan regime I would be exiled, imprisoned, or worse…" Zavanna shivered at the thoughts of what the Fabregans might do to her.
"Uh Zavanna?" Cameron worriedly called.
"I-I am fine, really. My species wants to invade Earth, before moving onto Vestal, Neathia, and then Gundalia before finally moving onto New Vestroia. They plan to colonize the five planets."
Blazeon growled at the heartless actions that the Fabregans seemed to show. "Then they must be stopped. They will not take Earth, not when I'm around."
"I second that!" Velocirex exclaimed.
"D-do you really think we have a chance?" Aisha asked.
"Well, I would prefer not to let a bunch of space invaders come in and try to take over our planet. But hey, that's just me right?" Jayden said while winking to Aisha. Her face cracked a small smile.
"Look the Fabregans aren't going to stop trying to invade Earth, even if we ask them. So we do what we can to stop them!" Cameron said.
"E-even if they have all these weird powers?" Aisha asked.
"Even if there is just one of us fighting against them, we will always have a chance!" Cameron confidently said.
Zavanna approvingly nodded her head with a smile. Aisha gave a wide smile and tilted her head cutely. "Oh what the heck!" she said. "We've come this far, so I say we see just how deep this rabbit hole goes!"
"That is the spirit, but I am afraid I do not understand what you mean by 'rabbit hole'. We are in a tower." Zavanna said sounding confused.
"It's an Earth expression, Zavanna." Aisha said.
"You're all delusional…" these stinging words came from Garfield who lagged behind. "The Fabregans are much stronger than us; there is no hope of beating them. Sure we can fight them, but we'd only lose."
"Garfield…?" Vesta gasped but she was too late to notice Aisha marching over to him.
"Listen you, that's enough!" she sternly yelled. "We already have enough on our plates and we don't need you bumming us out right now!" she exclaimed while she grabbed the collar of his shirt. "Whether you like it or not, the Fabregans are planning something and they won't wait for us to come to them!" she noticed everyone giving wide eyed stares at them, and she looked at Garfield's sad expression and he was looking to the ground. She released her grip and calmed down. "Sorry about that… It's just the Fabregans want you to think that they are untouchable…" she saw that Garfield's expression hadn't changed. "Listen, let's get out of here and then we can figure out what to do later."
Vesta walked to the pair. "We'll take the lead, come on." She took Garfield's arm and dragged him to the front.
Jayden and Cameron walked to her looking concerned. "Are you okay, Aisha?" Cameron asked.
"I'm fine… never better… I'm just so tired of seeing people being so negative… and I'm tired of being so negative. This whole time I've been dumping on myself and I didn't see the fact that I'm not alone. I've had so many wonderful people try to look after me, my mother, my sister, Bearth, even you two and I almost abandoned all of you… and for what?" she looked at Cameron and Jayden's eyes. "Thanks for not giving up on me."
"Hey, we're your friends. And we don't abandon our friends." Cameron said.
Aisha hugged both of them. "You guys are the best." She let go of them and she had a confident smile on her face. "Now let's show those Fabregans what we're made of!"
Jayden chuckled. "Ha, now that's my girl!"
Aisha smirked and looked at Jayden. "So I'm 'your girl' now?"
"What well… n-no I mean… well. That's not what I meant!" Jayden said while he awkwardly scratched the back of his head.
"Then what did you mean?" Cameron confusedly asked.
"Yeah, curious minds want to know Jayden." Aisha said while still smirking.
"This conversation is over!" the flustered Jayden said and he walked after Vesta and Garfield.
"That was for all that mean stuff you said before." She muttered with an evil smile.
Bearth opened on Aisha's shoulder. "Are you sure you're feeling alright, Aisha?" Bearth asked with concern radiating in my voice.
Aisha smiled. "It's sweet that you worry about me, but I'm okay… for the first time in a long time. I'm okay." She looked to Cameron. "C'mon Cameron, we don't want to get left behind now do we?" he nodded the two followed after the rest of the group.
After passing through an archway, they ended up on the battlefield for large coliseum–like area with three other archway entrances leading into the coliseum. Standing dead in the centre was Daro with a confident look on his face.
"Daro!" Zavanna angrily said. Garfield looked away and he shuffled behind Aisha.
"Humans, traitors. Welcome, I hope you've been enjoying your stay in our tower. I trust that we have given you only the best hospitality." Daro said while smirking.
"What are you, a hotel manager?" Jayden said.
"Stop this, Daro!" Zavanna exclaimed. "Fabregans were only supposed to share our knowledge among the universe, not force our way onto others. We have no right to colonize the home of other species!"
Daro laughs. "You naïve fool, Fabregans were meant to lead and conquer. We will conquer all dimensions and anyone getting in our way will be swiftly dealt with. Isn't that right, Maia?"
They hear footsteps approaching them and when they get closer, they see a figure that was short in comparison to Daro's height. The figure had pale blue skin with a bone crest in the shape of a curvy arrow on her forehead that was above her eyebrows. There were dark circles around her eyes and her yellow reptilian eyes were the size of plant seeds with huge white sclera. She had dark hair that was tied in twin ponytails that looked tied with a similar solid bone structure that was on her forehead. The tips of her ponytails were dyed red. She wore a white crop top with red accents. Her midriff was showing and there were four bone adornments that led to her belly, those same adornments formed an X across her lower back. She had a red skirt with eight red bone spikes on the ends of the skirt. Her legs were covered by maroon leggings with a swirling bone structure around her left leg. She had white coloured boots with short heels. Her blue eye rings were inside her small pupils.
She was unrecognized by the group… but one person immediately saw a resemblance. "H-Hikari!?" Garfield exclaimed.
The girl that stood next to Daro immediately glared at Garfield. "That isn't my name, idiot!"
"She is our newest recruit." Daro proudly said. "A Gundalian Super Soldier that was created for the purpose of taking down powerful opponents. She was the last creation of the Gundalian Kazarina, and we gave her the name based off of the name of the project. Maia! She will be fighting alongside us for the foreseeable future."
"You humans had your chance to leave the tower, so now you must be exterminated!" Maia sternly said, already equipping her maroon gauntlet on her left arm.
Cameron stepped forward. "Well we'll make sure we get out her here and stop your invasion!" Cameron exclaimed.
Jayden stepped next to him. "I'm with you all the way!"
"WAIT!" they both heard. They looked back to see that it was Aisha and Zavanna who called out to them.
Zavanna walked to Cameron. "Cameron, I want to partake in this battle. I want to defend my old Fabregan traditions and that means I have to stand up to Daro. Please, let me do this!"
Cameron looked to Blazeon who knew where this was going. "You're seriously not considering…"
Cameron's hand rested on Zavanna's shoulder. "Okay, I'll let you do this. I trust you Zavanna."
Zavanna nodded. "Thank you Cameron, I will not disappoint you."
"What!? WHY!?" Blazeon exclaimed angrily jumping in his ball form. "I wanted to battle!" he cried.
Meanwhile Aisha told Jayden she wanted to battle in his place. "Wait, what!?" Jayden said.
"Please Jayden, I know it doesn't mean much to you… but I need this. I want to show you, everyone... maybe even myself, the new and improved Aisha! Please Jayden."
Jayden looked to his partner. "Well Velocirex?"
"You make the call Jayden, I'll support whatever decision you make."
Jayden smirked. "In that case, go get 'em tiger!"
Aisha's eyes lit up. "Thank you Jayden."
Bearth opened on Aisha's left shoulder. "Are you sure you want to battle so soon after what happened?"
"I have to get back on the horse, Bearth. I can't sit around and let everyone else fight while I stand on the sidelines. This is my battle too and I'll make sure these Fabregans know it."
"Very well." Daro equipped his gauntlet. "I'll be happy to personally take down a Fabregan deserter and a failed experiment."
Aisha equipped her gauntlet. "Zavanna, you ready?"
She nodded as she placed her gauntlet on her arm as well. "Let us work together!"
"Gauntlet Power Strike!" with this the four activated their gauntlets simultaneously and the attribute colours shone from their power cards.
Maia was the first to set her gate card. "Gate Card Set!" she threw in a gate card that spread out into a disappearing, red rectangular shockwave. Maia's white and red accented Bakugan was covered in a red aura before she could even throw it in. "Bakugan Brawl! Flare Liaru Stand!" the ball form of the Bakugan opened and it revealed a white Lion Bakugan three red stripes going across its back. His paws were red and his legs had a muscular tone to them. He had four long red tails that had six spiky end-tips. He had a thick red mane and it was shaped like a four pointed star. His fur was rough, slightly ruffled and very coarse.
Garfield gasped when he saw the Bakugan. "Wait… is that Liaru? What did you do to him?" he timidly asked.
"I'm glad you asked." Said Daro with an evil smirk. "Our Fabregan science has come to a point where we can fuse an additional attribute of any Bakugan by using the evolution catalyst! You are looking at a Haos/Pyrus hybrid."
"But… doesn't that hurt the Bakugan?" Aisha asked.
"Oh, yeah sure, but the pain is worth the final result. You see, we stripped Liaru of any personality and turned him into a feral beast with no desire but to rip his opponents to shreds."
"How could you do that!?" Zavanna screamed with her hand in front of her mouth in shock. "Bakugan are not tools of war!"
"I beg to differ; they are nothing but weapons that are capable of massive destruction. Whether Mechanical or Natural, all Bakugan share the same purpose and that is to battle!"
Cybertross opened on Daro's shoulder. "A weak Bakugan is useless to us, so if it can't handle the evolution process, then we dispose of them!"
"Cybertross!" Zavanna growled.
However, she quickly felt Aisha grabbing her shoulder. "Don't let your anger take over… that's what they both want."
"Enough of this useless banter, it is time for action!" Daro exclaimed. "Bakugan Brawl! Cybertross Stand!" Cybertross stood on the battlefield next to Flare Liaru and his red visor was glowing when his vision was locked onto Aisha and Zavanna.
"Here we go!" Aisha yelled. "Bakugan Brawl! Bearth Stand!" Bearth stood on his four feet before standing up and letting out a loud roar.
"It's good to be back!" Bearth bellowed.
Zavanna was next. "Bakugan Brawl! Scorchiree Stand!" Scorchiree entered the battlefield on one knee.
Flare Liaru: 950 Bearth: 800
Cybertross: 850 Scorchiree: 750
"I shall attack Cybertross." Zavanna said, declaring her target.
"Right, then I'll take on Liaru!" Aisha took out a card. "Ability Activate! Bulldozer Arm!" Bearth's right arm started to vibrate and glow orange. He drove the drilling fist to Liaru who didn't take the attack well which made him fall to his side. "Alright, Bearth keep it up!" the huge bear grinned.
"Ha, I'm just getting started."
Flare Liaru: 650 Bearth: 1100
Maia glared at Aisha. "As least you're not a pushover like the other pathetic human. Ability Activate, Tail Burst!" Liaru's four tails ends were glowing and they each shot an explosive burst of fire from them.
Flare Liaru: 950 Bearth: 800
As the explosive balls of fire approached Bearth, Aisha looked more than ready to take them on. "I'm not as pathetic as you think! Ability Activate! Earth Barrier!" Huge earth slabs grew on Bearth's arms and he guarded his face which made an invisible barrier around him that blocked the explosive fire bursts from hurting him. "

Daro glared at Aisha. "I shall remedy this! Ability Activate! Cyber Smash!" Cybertross made a futuristic, data pillar that he tossed towards Bearth.
Cybertross: 1050 Bearth: 800
"I didn't see that coming!" Aisha exclaimed.
"Scorchiree, let our hearts unite! Ability Activate! Searing Salamander!" Scorchiriee's arm blades were covered in orange flames and he crossed slashed through the data pillar, making it disappear.
Flare Liaru: 950 Bearth: 800
Cybertross: 850 Scorchiree: 1150
"Do not toy with me, you filthy deserter! Ability Activate! Data Slash!" Cybertross's right claws turned blue and he scratched the air, forcing a dark blue spinning energy beam to Scorchiree. Cybertross's power level grew to 1250 while Scorchiree's fell to 750.
"That's my cue!" Aisha said while she performed a short dance. "Ability Activate! Forest Flame! Stop Cybertross's attack!" Bearth fired a bright orange ball of fire from his mouth which crashed into Cybertross's Data Slash, making bright blue and orange firework-like lights in the air.

Cybertross: 850 Scorchiree: 750
"Do it now Zavanna!" Aisha exclaimed.
"I shall Aisha!" she replied. "Ability Activate, Red Glow!" a bright red aura surrounded Scorchiree which drastically increased the temperature of the room. Scorchiree's power increased to 1150
Cybertross's vision was starting to turn to static. "Internal systems have breached operating temperature." Cybertross said.
"What does that mean?" Aisha asked while wiping sweat off her forehead.
Zavanna started to explain. "It means that his internal systems are getting too hot, first generation Fabregan mechanical Bakugan could only operate fully within a certain temperature window. Extreme heat or extreme cold are bad for those Bakugan."
Daro could only glare at Zavanna. He looked at Maia. "You, destroy the enemies!"
"As you wish, Master! Ability Activate! Sunflare Claws!" Liaru's claws extended and they were covered in flames. He leaped to the still standing Scorchiree.

Cybertross: 850 Scorchiree: 850
"Okay Bearth! We have to defend Scorchiree, Ability Activate Copycat! Now Copy Data Slash!" Bearth's right claws were glowing blue, after slashing the air, he forced a blue spinning circle or energy to cut through the air and crash into Liaru before he could get close. Bearth's power rose to 1200 and Liaru's fell to 850.
"Quickly Aisha, while Cybertross is too weak to attack!" Zavanna exclaimed.
Daro glared at them. "Don't you dare, you swine!"
"Just for that, I will!" before Aisha could attack, a minuscule smirk appeared on Daro's face. "Ability Activate! Soldier's Charge!"
Bearth was running to Cybertross while his right shoulder was engulfed in an orange glow. He was getting closer and closer to crashing into Cybertross.
Flare Liaru: 1250 Bearth: 1700
Cybertross: 850 Scorchiree: 850
"Cannot evade… impact, imminent." Cybertross said in his monotonous robotic voice.
Daro quickly placed a card into his gauntlet. "Your overconfidence will come back to bite you! Ability Activate! Nanite Tornado!" Cybertross opened his mouth which made dark winds fly out and surround him in a hemisphere. Bearth kept going and he crashed into the dark winds and he was forced backwards. There was bright purple electricity crackling off his shoulder. After the impact Bearth's power level dropped to 1100
"What was that!?" Aisha asked with a surprised expression.
Scorchiree's Red Glow was coming to an end and the entire room was cooling down. "Cybertross simply used his internal nanites to defend himself. But how sorry for you, because the both of you have made me quite angry!"
"I shall initiate our plan of attack!" Maia exclaimed. "Ability Activate, Igniting Thunder!" Liaru's mane was engulfed in an electrical aura and he flung an X shaped electrical blast that hit Bearth and surrounded him in yellow electrical sparks.
Flare Liaru: 1500 Bearth: 850
Cybertross: 850 Scorchiree: 850
Aisha looked at Bearth's power level and wasn't too worried. "Ha, we can bounce back from this! Ability Activate, Quake Scratch!" Bearth's claws started glowing but the yellow electrical sparks around his body intensified to the point where he wasn't able to move, which prevented him from using the ability.
"Aisha…I can't move!" Bearth exclaimed.
"Look who's on the receiving end." Daro said with a chuckle.
"Igniting Thunder is an ability that paralyzes an opponent it makes contact with for a short time
Zavanna prepared to defend Aisha. "I am still here Daro! Ability Activate! Lava Jab!" Scorchiree's fists were covered in a red aura with white outlines. Cybertross's power was dropped to 450.
"That's right Zavanna, let me see your inner fury! Ability Activate Circuit Combo!"
Both Bakugan charged to each other, Scorchiree was the first to land a fist on Cybertross's face but, Cybertross in retaliation swiped a claw onto the lizard's head. After taking another fiery punch, he swiped Scorchiree across his chest before he spun like a top with his claws extended and launched into the air with a purple whirlwind following him, he took Scorchiree with him into the air. Once both Bakugan were up in the air, Cybertross slammed his metallic hand down onto Scorchiree, making him crash back to the ground.
"NO! Scorchiree!" Zavanna screamed.

Cybertross: 1000 Scorchiree: 600
"Just a pair of weaklings." Maia mocked.
Aisha glared at their opponents. "I can't just stand here and do nothing!"
"Time to call in some help! Come Bakugan trap! Golem!" she threw the Bakugan trap into the air and he landed beside Bearth who was still trying to recover from the paralysis. Their combined power level was 1200.
"What will doing that accomplish?" Maia inquired.
"You'll see. Ability Activate, Nature Prism!" Golem made a large green, transparent pyramid prism surround Bearth and Scorchiree.

Cybertross: 1000 Scorchiree: 900
The pyramid released a soothing, healing energy that healed both Bearth and Scorchiree of any injuries and it cleared the paralysis on Bearth.
"Alright, we're ready to go!" Bearth exclaimed.
Maia growled. "Curse you! Ability Activate! Prideful Assault!" Liaru roared before he was engulfed in a combination of fire and lightning. He dashed to Bearth and crashed into his gut forcing the Subterra Bakugan to slide back on his feet. Liaru's power rose to 1900.
Zavanna had the same idea as Aisha. "Come Bakugan trap! Gekko!" she threw the spherical trap into the air and Gekko stood on the ground in front of Scorchiree.

Cybertross: 1000 Scorchiree/Gekko: 1300
Daro shot is arm up into the air. "I grow tired of this, this battle concludes now! Ability Activate! Heartless Fury!" Cybertross's chest opened and there was a dark purple energy core inside. It shot a huge purple beam to both Scorchiree and Gekko. Cybertross was brought up to 1500 while Scorchiree and Gekko fell to 800.
Zavanna's face remained serious. "I shall not lose to you. I will defend our true Fabregan ideals, right to the end! Ability Activate, Deflector Frill!" the frills on Gekko's neck opened to reveal very large frills that absorbed the attack that Cybertross unleashed. "Do it now, Gekko!" Gekko fired the beam right back at Cybertross which engulfed the Darkus Bakugan creating a huge purple flash. The power levels reversed.
Daro glared at them. "This is taking too long, Maia. The gate card if you will."
"Of course, Gate card open! Trap Barricade!" Aisha and Zavanna's Bakugan traps were engulfed in the bright glows of their attributes before they flew back them while rolling on the ground. "Trap Barricade is an ability that forces all Trap Bakugan off the field. Let's see how you fare without your pathetic crutches!"
Flare Liaru: 1900 Bearth: 1150
Cybertross: 1000 Scorchiree: 900
"Defeat is imminent, so why don't you just give up?" Maia requested.
"As if, even if the odds are against us… we'll keep on going! Because that is what we call the Human spirit!" Aisha exclaimed.
Daro started laughing so much so that he started holding his gut. "So you think this 'Human Spirit' will assist you in defying pure logic. Out of all the humans, you have to be the most unintelligent I've met."
"Don't talk to her like that!" Zavanna yelled. "You do not know her at all, so you do not have the right to say anything to her, just like our species does not have the right to invade Earth!"
"Fabregans use their superior knowledge and strength to get what we want. And we shall take what rightfully belongs to us. That includes the Earth!"
"Fabregans were never entitled to anything! Our Lord is out of control this needs to stop! And I will assist the humans in putting a stop to the Fabregans so they can't hurt any other species."
"Yeah, you tell him Zavanna!" Cameron cheered. The girl instantly blushed when she heard his voice.
"How can you call yourself a Fabregan, Zavanna? You side with these… these filth… all for what? Because things aren't the way you want them to be?"
"In order to create change, action must be taken! Fabregans know that first hand, but the Fabregans will never ever touch Earth!" a part of her clothing was glowing. "Huh?" she picked up the card and it looked like a Reversion Ability card. "How peculiar, did this appear because of what I said?"
Daro's eyes grew. "A Reversion Ability card? But how!? Has she been holding out on us? I won't give her the chance to use it!"
"Ability Activate! Death Ray!"
Cybertross: 1500 Scorchiree: 900
Cybertross shot a thin beam from his visor which pierced right through Scorchiree causing tremendous pain. He was engulfed in a bright red flash before shrinking to his ball form. After this Zavanna's life gauge fell to 40%.
"Oh no Zavanna!" Aisha exclaimed.
"You're not focused! Liaru, exterminate the Bakugan!" Maia commanded. Liaru's claws were surrounded in flames and he scratched past Bearth causing damage. He was covered in a bright orange flash and shrunk to his ball form afterwards. Aisha's life gauge took a huge hit, falling to 25%.
Cybertross and Liaru returned to their ball forms and sped to their masters
Jayden glared at Maia and Daro. "I knew they couldn't handle it, let's take over!" he was about to run forward but Cameron grabbed his arm.
"Wait, Jayden. We can't!"
"Why not?"
"Because this is their fight, don't you think we should let them go on?"
They both looked at Aisha and Zavanna, Aisha was comforting Zavanna because of the loss. Both Cameron and Jayden couldn't hear them but a smile appeared on Zavanna's face indicating that whatever Aisha said, got their spirits back up.
"Let's hope they can pull it off."
Zavanna and Aisha were about to start the next battle. "Okay Zavanna, these two are tough… any ideas?" Zavanna looked down to the Reversion Ability Card in her hand.
"I don't really know… what would Cameron do?" She flashed back to when she and Cameron battled for the second time. "The difference between the Humans and Fabregans, is that Fabregans try to use unusual methods to push their Bakugan to their limits, but humans push their Bakugan by encouraging them and believing in them which will push them past their limits." She looked at the Reversion Ability card in her hand. "I believe that is the secret to Bakugan Reversion."
"Hey… uh Zavanna are you in there?" Aisha asked.
"Huh, w-what?"
"You kinda spaced out there… Everything alright?"
"Yes, you start the battle, and then I will follow."
"Alright! Gate card set!" she threw her gate card onto the field. "Alright Bearth, lets both try our best 'kay?"
"The result will be different this time. Let's give it our best shot!"
Zavanna looked to Scorchiree's open ball form. "I know that you cannot talk back to me, but I know you can hear me. I know that we can do this, you are not a weapon, but a friend so please lend me your strength…"
Scorchiree made screeching sound. "…My strength is your strength, Miss Zavanna…"
Aisha and Zavanna's eyes grew and their heads zoomed closer to Scorchiree. "YOU TALK!?"
"I shall explain, later but…" Scorchiree turned to face Daro and Maia. "We have tough opponents to face."
Both girls nodded. "Bakugan Brawl!" they both exclaimed, and after yelling the names of their Bakugan, they stood tall on the field.
"Maia, let's put these humans away! Bakugan Brawl! Cybertross Stand!" Cybertross flew up before he landed hard onto the ground.
Maia's eyes slightly shrunk while she tossed her Liaru. "Bakugan Brawl! Flare Liaru Stand!" Liaru roared before his bright blue eyes were glaring at Scorchiree and Bearth.

Maia quickly started proceedings. "Ability Activate, Tail Burst!" Liaru shot four powerful bursts of fire from his tails. His attack was aimed at Bearth, which dropped his power to 500 while Liaru's rose to 1250.
Scorchiree stood in front of Bearth. "Ability Activate! Fire Element!" the Pyrus lizard was covered in an aura of orange and red flames.

Cybertross: 850 Scorchiree: 850
The four fireballs exploded off Scorchiree, causing a huge smoke cloud. Scorchiree jumped from the smoke cloud and Zavanna had another ability card at the ready. "Ability Activate, Flash Spark!" While Scorchiree was in the air his arms and arm blades were crossed. Electric sparks could be seen off his arm blades and it formed a bright red ball of energy in front of them. When he separated the arm blades, the energy ball shot it to Liaru and it exploded off his head.

Cybertross: 850 Scorchiree: 1050
Daro placed a card into his gauntlet. "I will deal with you, traitor! Ability Activate Cyber Smash!" Cybertross threw a black and purple pillar made of what looked like computer data to Scorchiree. This gave Cybertross a new power level of 1050 while Scorchiree's fell to 750.
Aisha glared at the pillar. "Not so fast buster, Ability Activate! Bulldozer Arm!" Bearth knew what she wanted and jumped up and punched the pillar, shattering it to pieces before it could hit Scorchiree.
"What Again!?" Daro exclaimed while Aisha grinned and blew a raspberry at the Fabregan. Bearth's power rose up to 800 while Cybertross's dropped to 750.
"Zavanna, you're up!" Aisha declared.
The Fabregan girl nodded and held up another Ability Card. "Get ready, my friend. Ability Activate, Desert Camo!" Scorchiree's body faded into the background, effectively becoming camouflaged.

Cybertross 750 Scorchiree: 1350
Daro looked confident. "You cannot hide from me, Cybertross infrared mode!" Cybertross's vision changed to infrared and he started looking for Scorchiree.
"I've been trained to win in battle, losing is not an option!" Maia angrily said, making her eye rings glow. "Ability Activate! Flaming Bellow!" Liaru's closed maw with filling with flames, he opened his jaws and shot a jet of fire to Bearth.

Cybertross: 750 Scorchiree: 1350
"You're not that hot! Ability Activate, Mega Earth Barrier!" Bearth's eyes glowed orange for a second before bashing his paws to the ground, making huge clumps of the ground form a hemisphere around himself increasing his power by 800, adding up to a power level of 1600.
The barrier successfully blocked the stream of fire, once it ended. Bearth broke out of it and an invisible gust of wind blew past him.
Daro's eyes grew. "Cybertross, find Scorchiree!" Cybertross's visor was glowing and he saw an orange figure in the shape of Scorchiree sprinting towards Liaru. "Found you! Ability Activate, Death Ray!" His visor glowed before he shot a thin beam towards Scorchiree but footsteps were heard all over and the beam looked to have missed. Cybertross's new power level was now at 1250. "Cybertross we need to stop him, one hit will disable his invisibility."
A smirk formed on Zavanna's face. "Not a chance! Ability Activate, Hearth Dash!" a red aura temporarily surrounded the Pyrus Bakugan and his speed drastically rose. Cybertross's sensors couldn't keep up and it was shown when a blast from his visor missed again.

Zavanna looked to Aisha. "Aisha, the gate card!"
"You got it, girl! Gate Card open! Subterra Battle Audience!" the command card opened, and Bearth was covered in a brown camo themed coating.
Flare Liaru: 950 Bearth: 1600
Cybertross: 750 Scorchiree: 1450
"What is this!?" Maia growled.
"This command card changes the attribute of the Bakugan on my side to Subterra and subtracts 500G's from opposing Bakugan that don't have the attribute I called out!" Aisha said.
Daro glared at her. "Impossible! I will not lose to a human! Double Ability Activate, Data Slash plus Immediate Termination!" Cybertross was surrounded in a dark blue aura while his claws were covered in a blue glow. He shot off towards Bearth while a spinning whirlwind covered him.

Cybertross: 1850 Scorchiree: 1450
"You're finished!" Daro yelled.
Aisha looked to Zavanna. "So you think. Zavanna, you're up!"
"Affirmative! Scorchiree, Cybertross is your target! Ability Activate! Searing Salamander!" the invisible camouflage on Scorchiree ceased and he was covered in the same brown camo that covered Bearth. His arm blades were covered by flames. He stood in front of Bearth and launched at tremendous speeds to Cybertross. Both Bakugan collided and they cross slashed each other and after the explosion they were on opposite ends of each other. The flames on Scorchiree's wrists fizzled out and the aura around Cybertross faded. Blue electrical sparks surrounded the mechanical Bakugan before the left arm of Cybertross fell off and onto the ground.
Daro's red eye rings were starting to glow bright gold.
Flare Liaru: 950 Bearth: 1200
Cybertross: 1650 Scorchiree: 1850
"Y-YOU WEAKLING SCUM!" he angrily exclaimed. "I swear Zavanna, when I capture you. You shall be subject to excruciating torture!"
"I'm not scared of you any more, Daro! I was serious in my ambition to stop the Fabregans, and I shall not let my fear of you get in the way." She looked to Aisha. "Quickly, take care of Liaru!"
"Fine, let's go Bearth!"
"I dare you to attack me!" Maia said with her blue eye rings glowing gold. "Ability Activate, Sunflare Claws!" Liaru's claws extended and they became covered in fire. "This ends now, tear him to shreds Liaru!" he angrily sprinted to Bearth.
Flare Liaru: 1250 Bearth: 900
"Bearth, let's try out that new ability!"
A slight smirk appeared on Bearth's snout. "Ready when you are…"
Liaru was getting ever closer to Bearth with his blazing claws. "Ability Activate, Inner Core!" Bearth's stomach had slow swirling brown energy spinning inside, his eyes were glowing orange and he glared at the speeding Liaru.
"This battle is over!" Bearth blasted a powerful orange beam of energy from his maw when he opened his jaws. The orange beam completely engulfed the speeding Liaru.
Flare Liaru: 850 Bearth: 1300
Liaru was engulfed in bright red flash before shrinking to his ball form and rolling to Maia's feet. Her life gauge fell to 55%. She started growling in anger and her eye rings continued glowing.
Meanwhile Daro was struggling to keep up with Zavanna. "I-I will crush you Zavanna! Ability Activate Heartless Fury!" Cybertross's chest opened up and his power core was revealed. Zavanna's eye grew when she noticed Cybertross's power core. "Now eliminate the traitor!" he fired a powerful, dark purple beam to Scorchiree.
Cybertross: 2150 Scorchiree: 1350
Zavanna held two cards in her hand. "Like I said before, I no longer fear you. I shall stand up for myself and fight for what I think is right." She placed the two cards into her gauntlet. "Double Ability Activate! Erupting Blast, plus Fusion Ability: Luminous Scales!"
Scorchiree's scales started glowing and they chipped off his body and remained floating above him. He then fired a jet of lava from his mouth and as he did, the scales ignited and surrounded the lava blast.
"N-No, this is impossible!" Daro exclaimed.
"You will find that it is very possible!" Zavanna argued.
The two beams collided but Scorchiree's lava blast, combined with his scales shot right through the beam that Cybertross generated. This attack hit the mechanical beast in the chest which sent him off his feet and grinding on the floor.
Cybertross: 1850 Scorchiree: 2150
Cybertross shrank to his ball form after he had lost the bout against Scorchiree, his life gauge fell to 70%. For the first time, Daro's Bakugan was at his feet in defeat and was wounded as well.
Bearth and Scorchiree glowed their attribute colours and returned to the palms of their partners. "Whoa…" Aisha breathed. "Did we really just do that?"
"The Fabregans are tough, but not unbeatable." Zavanna said while she took a deep breath.
"See that Daro?" Aisha exclaimed. "That is what we call the human spirit, no matter how many times you put us down... We'll always come back, better than ever. You messed with the wrong planet buster!"
Jayden and Garfield were pleasantly surprised as how Aisha and Zavanna came back in the battle.
"Ha, see I knew they could do it!" Cameron cheerily yelled.
"I never doubted them for a second!" Vesta said with her arms folded.
"Well those two have certainly formed an understanding between each other." Jayden said. "The Fabregans have strength, but that's all they have. Aisha and Zavanna… those two are battling together like they have known each other for years." He commented.
"Yeah you bet!" Cameron exclaimed. "Zavanna is braver than… well this is the bravest I've ever seen her."
"And Aisha isn't letting up either; it really is like she is new and improved… She's actually pretty awesome." Jayden said.
Garfield though decided to keep his own thoughts to herself… "Maybe… maybe we can pull this off. I mean if they can stand up to Daro, then maybe we can beat anyone… but…" he looked at Maia and her face that showed anger. "N-no… I have to forget about her… Hikari… she's gone and she's never coming back… I have to accept that…"
Daro was clenching his fist and Maia looked at him with slight concern. "Master…?"
"Maia… I don't remember empathy being part of your training! So you worry about yourself!" Daro angrily said turning to her.
"I-I see. O-of course Master!"
Zavanna and Aisha meanwhile were waiting on the other side. "Listen Aisha… I have a plan that will definitely win us the battle." She started to whisper the plan into her ear. "W-well how does that sound?"
"That sounds awesome; they won't know what hit them!" she looked to the other side of the field. "Alright creeps! Ready when you are!"
Daro looked ahead. "These disgusting… they really think…" soon a smirk formed, then he let out a chuckle before it evolved into psychotic laughter. This gave both Aisha and Zavanna frights. "You actually think you are capable of beating me. It is laughable! I shall show you our true strength!" he had a gate card in his hand. "Gate Card set!" he threw the gate card onto the field before it disappeared into a purple shockwave. "Make no mistake, when I destroy you two. I will crush you! Bakugan Brawl! Cybertross Stand!" Cybertross re-entered the battlefield and he still was missing his left arm that was sliced off.
"I promise Master, I will achieve victory this time. Bakugan Brawl! Flare Liaru Stand!" he stood on the field before roaring yet again.
"I have a good feeling about this, Zavanna." Aisha said.
"As do I, now shall we proceed to… how do you say… the kicking of the butt?"
"Ha, you're close. But yeah… let's kick some butt! Bakugan Brawl, Bearth Stand!" Bearth stood up to his feet.
"Scorchiree… I feel this battle will be harder, so let us give it everything we have."
"You can count on me, Miss Zavanna…" he closed his ball form.
"Okay, this is it! I have to make it count. Bakugan Brawl, Scorchiree stand!" Scorchiree stood on the ground hard after flipping several times.

"This time, I will battle at my full potential this time!" Maia exclaimed. "Ability Activate, Fire Aura!" Flare Liaru's entire body was surrounded in a bright red aura. His power only went up to 1100. "Now that Fire Aura is activated, it will add 100Gs to any of Liaru's attacks, giving him the extra power that he needs. I told you that I would use my full potential. Ability Activate! Tail Burst!" his long red tails aimed at Bearth and they each shot an explosive burst of fire to him.

"I've got a plan for that, Ability Activate! Mega Earth Barrier!" Bearth made a protective hemisphere with the ground below him which easily protected him from the attacks.

"Maia, keep the pressure up. I shall deal with the deserter!" Daro held his gauntlet up. "It is time for you to face justice, Zavanna! Ability Activate, Data Slash!" He flew up and he swung his right arm in the air forcing a blue circular beam to cut through the air and towards Scorchiree.
Cybertross: 1250 Scorchiree: 350
"This isn't good, come Bakuan Trap, Gekko!" she tossed the spherical trap into the air before he appeared in front of Scorchiree. "Block that attack, Ability Activate, Deflector Frill!" Gekko's large frills spread open and the large energy disk impacted them. Gekko's frills were glowing purple, bright purple circles of energy appeared all over the frills, and they started to fire thin, rapid beams back at Cybertross.

Cybertross: 850 Scorchiree/Gekko: 1150
Cybertross stepped back slightly after he was hit by the power of his own attack. Daro covered his one eye with his hand. "You are really testing my patience Zavanna!" Daro growled.
Maia shot arm up into the air to activate another ability card. "I will send you weaklings to oblivion! Ability Activate! Prideful Assault!" Liaru was covered in a mixture of raging fire and electricity while his body was outlined by a thick, bright red aura. His power shot up to 2000Gs. He started sprinting to Bearth.
"Quick Zavanna together!" Aisha exclaimed.
"Ability Activate!" both girls chanted.
"Soldiers Charge!" Bearth's right shoulder was covered in an orange aura; he started to charge to Liaru.
"Lava Jab!" Scorchiree's fists were covered in a white outline while the fists charged up with red energy. He launched off towards the speeding Liaru and started throwing punches endless punches as Liaru steamrolled into him.

Cybertross: 850 Scorchiree/Gekko: 1150
Liaru's attack was stronger than Scorchiree's and he threw his head upward which forced the lizard into the air. "Worthless…" Maia scoffed.
"Hey, don't forget about us!" Aisha exclaimed.
"You're in for a world of hurt!" Bearth said. His shoulder made contact with Liaru's face which forced him to roll on his sides before sliding back on his front paws.
"Not so worthless now huh?" Aisha said with a grin.
"I've had enough of you! Ability Activate, Igniting Thunder!" his four pointed – star shaped mane was covered in electrical energy. Liaru fired this energy towards Bearth and it made its mark as it flew quickly across the battlefield. The attack exploded on Bearth, covering him yellow electrical sparks.

Cybertross: 850 Scorchiree/Gekko: 1150
"Aisha... I can't… move…"
"Don't worry partner… I'll think of something."
"As if I'll give you the time!" Daro exclaimed. He looked to Zavanna. "I will prevent you from protecting your friend, Ability Activate! Death Ray!"
Cybertross's visor glowed before it fired a thin beam towards Scorchiree.

Cybertross: 1350 Scorchiree/Gekko: 1150
"Scorchiree, you must avoid that attack! Ability Activate, Hearth Dash!" Scorchiree was covered in a red outline which allowed him to dodge the beam that Cybertross fired.
Daro looked to Maia. "What are you waiting for, eliminate the Subterra Bakugan!"
"Uh… r-right Master… Ability Activate, Sunflare Claws!" Bearth's outstretched claws were covered in orange flames while a bright red outline surrounded them. He ran on all fours while the energy was pumping through his veins. He bared his claws to the still Bakugan but Gekko was revealed to have jumped in front of the attack. "WHAT IS THIS!?" Maia exclaimed.

Cybertross: 1350 Scorchiree/Gekko: 850
"Quickly Gekko, Ability Activate Lava Pulse!" Gekko weakly got to his feet before he launched a rolling ball of lava towards Liaru who was wide open. The ball hit him and it only slightly pushed him back. Liaru's power fell to 2050 while Scorchiree and Gekko's were at 1050.
"Bearth… can you open your mouth?" Bearth slowly opened his muzzle. "Okay, we're taking back this battle. Double Ability Activate! Inner Core plus Fusion Ability: Hyper Meltdown!" Bearth was surrounded in a rising orange aura and he opened his muzzle and an orange fiery blast with a comet-like trail shot from his mouth.
"I don't believe it, you can move so soon!?" Maia screamed.
Flare Liaru: 1350 Bearth: 1950
Cybertross: 1350 Scorchiree/Gekko: 850
"This isn't the end! Ability Activate, Flaming Bellow!" Liaru's maw was filled with fire, and he discharged a colossal stream of fire that was steamrolling towards Bearth's attack as a defensive move. Both attacks clashed into each other making a bright flash that blinded almost everyone on the battlefield. Liaru's power only rose to 1850. The attacks were at stalemate and a small explosion occurred as a result.
Daro looked to Maia. "Maia, the Battle Gear!" he exclaimed.
"Yes my master!" she outstretched her left arm and her open palm generated yellow electricity and a white and yellow battle gear appeared. She swiped it with her right hand, taking it in her palm. "Battle Gear Boost!" after throwing the Battle Gear it landed on top of Liaru, attaching itself to his body. Two flat circular blasters were on each of Liaru's sides.
Daro then typed on his gauntlet which triggered battle gear to build above his gauntlet while the purple back-light from the gauntlet engulfed it. 'Ready: Spearhead!' he, just like Maia grabbed it with his right palm. "Battle Gear Boost!" he tossed the Battle Gear and it landed on the back of Cybertross's ball form with tentacle-like vines stretching out. On Cybertross's back was a white and purple circular power pack with tentacles sticking out; there were eight in total with four on each side. There was a white protrusion sticking out at the top of the gear. Liaru and Cybertross's power levels both rose by 100.
"Uh, this isn't good…" Aisha said.
"Stick to the plan… we can win if we do that." Zavanna said.
"The final curtain call is at hand." Daro said. "Gate Card Open! Enemy Resetter!"
The command card opened and energy was being transferred into both Liaru and Cybertross's battle gear.
Zavanna gasped. "N-no… it can't be…"
"W-what!? What is it!?" Aisha swiftly asked, demanding an answer.
"When the command card: Enemy Resetter is played, it is supposed to nullify our last abilties, but more importantly… It allows them to use the Level 2 class battle gear ability."
Aisha let out a huge gasp.
"That is it… we can't beat them… it is over… we have failed…" Zavanna said with a sorrow filled voice while she dropped to her knees.
Aisha gently put her hand on Zavanna's back. "Well I'm not giving up. Not as long as Bearth is still standing!"
"Aisha…"
"We're a team Zavanna. I don't know how you did things on Fabrega but… on Earth, when you're part of a team we work together until the very end. We win as a team and lose as a team, so even if the odds are low… you can't afford to give up and neither can I. We owe it to each other to do the best we can, because that is what being in a team is all about…"
Zavanna was moved by Aisha's words, so she rose to her feet and briefly bowed to Aisha. "Forgive me; I should not have been too quick to give up. You and Cameron have given me strength, and I shall repay you by using that strength to assist you!" the Reversion ability card glowed once again, prompting Zavanna to pick it up and look at it. "What is going on, Aisha?" Aisha remembered when the same thing happened to her when she was fighting Hayato.
"It's time, Zavanna…" Aisha said. "The key to us winning the battle, is in that card…"
"Are you sure…"
"Trust me." Aisha pulled out her Reversion Ability Card. "I've had a similar experience."
"So, I am also capable of using Bakugan Reversion?"
"Well we're about to find out, and it looks like Scorchiree is waiting for you." Scorchiree shifted his pupils to Zavanna and gave a silent nod. "See… we can do this."
Zavanna confidently nodded. "Yes, we shall show them what we are made of."
Maia was prepared to strike. "You have wasted enough of our time! I will bring victory for all of Fabrega! Battle Gear Ability Activate! Neo Barias: Bolt Storm!"
"Your Bakugan shall feel the pain of defeat! Battle Gear Ability Activate! Spearhead: Surging Sphere!
The total number of 24 outer circular ports of Liaru's battle gear opened and prepared to fired a barrage of yellow energy missiles that were aimed at Bearth.
Meanwhile, the purple accents on the battery pack of Cybertross's battle gear lit up

"You may overpower me… but you will NEVER break my spirit EVER AGAIN!" she placed the Reversion Ability card into her gauntlet.
"No… it can't be!" Daro said after he flinched.
Maia also noticed the new ability card. "W-wait… is that…"
"Watch and learn you two… this is the true power of Bakugan Reversion. The center orb of the card shone a rainbow glow. "Reversion Ability Activate! Agrestal Aura!" Scorchiree was covered in a pure white outline and sparkles flew off of him. Suddenly white sparkles were shooting from Liaru and Cybertross's battle gear and before they could fire, they instantly shut down.
"N-no… our battle gear abilities failed?!" Daro exclaimed.
Zavanna's eyes were closed and she had her hands together as if she was praying. "Agrestial Aura is a Socrchiree's Reversion Ability… He absorbs the aura around him and uses it to perform one powerful attack. On top of that, it has the added benefit of shutting down all Battle Gear on the field… making your battle gear abilities completely useless." Daro gasped and there was sweat on his face. The battle gear of Cybertross and Liaru started crackling with bright blue electricity.

"Aisha, Now!" Zavanna yelled.
"It's over you freaks! Ability Activate, Copycat! Use Liaru's Igniting Thunder ability, Bearth!" a projection of a four pointed mane appeared on Bearth's neck and it fired a brown electric pulse in the shape of that mane and it hit Cybertross, making brown electric sparks to fly all over the Darkus Bakugan.

Cybertross: 600 Scorchiree/Gekko: 1350
Cybertross was paralyzed with his power core exposed. He had gone into an emergency low power mode. "This is inconceivable! I am superior to every last one of you!" he angrily yelled.
Maia placed her Fabregan Reversion ability card in her gauntlet. "No! I will not fail my Master! Reversion Ability Activate! Pure Energy Strike!" Liaru turned to a bright yellow energy lion with a large comet-like tail before proceeding to Bearth.
Flare Liaru: 2100 Bearth: 1850
"I'm ready for you!" Aisha exclaimed. "Ability Activate, Earth Barrier!" Bearth's eyes glowed before giant slabs of earth grew on his arms. He blocked Liaru's attack with his arms and he slid back but he was starting to become paralyzed. Liaru turned back to normal in front of him.
Flare Liaru: 2100 Bearth: 2200
"Not the paralysis again!" Bearth cried.
"Quick, before you get fully paralyzed! Bulldozer Arm!"
Bearth's lower body was paralyzed but he could move his upper body. His right arm was surrounded in an orange aura before it started to wildly vibrate. Bearth let out a loud bellow as his balled bear fist met Liaru's face, sending the Bakugan sliding on the ground towards the Maia.
Flare Liaru: 1800 Bearth: 2500
Liaru was engulfed in red bright light before he shrunk to his ball form along with his battle gear. After seeing her Bakugan bounce to her feet, her life gauge fell to 0%. She fell to her knees… "I lost… my Master… I'm sorry…" tears started to form before she collapsed to the ground.
Meanwhile Scorchiree was blanketed in a white aura from Agrestal Aura and he glared at Daro. Zavanna started talking to the Fabregan on the other end of the battlefield. "Daro… you have intimidated me, harshly ordered me around and tried to manipulate me so you can get your own way. Not to mention you, Andreas and Isolde have constantly tried to change who I am. But no more… so this battle is a message to the High Fabrega Council…" Zavanna pointed to the still figure of Cybertross and Scorchiree immediately understood. All the energy was moved to his arm blades and he took off towards Cybertross. He swiped past the Mechanical Bakugan's exposed power core.
There was a brief silence before electricity started to discharge from Cybertross's power core. Briefly after this happened, a massive explosion shook the entire room coming from where Cybertross once stood. Everything was in slow motion, from the shocked faces of Vesta, Garfield, Cameron and Jayden, to the stupefied expression that Daro showed. Daro could only tremble as the pieces of his mechanical partner rained all over the battle field. His life gauge dropped to 0% while watching the mechanical massacre
Cybertross: 0 Scorchiree/Gekko: 1350
All that stood was a single leg from the entire body. Zavanna's face turned to one of fury. "Daro… give this message to the High Council…!" as she said this. Bearth, Scorchiree and Gekko returned to their partners in their ball forms. "LEAVE THE EARTH ALONE!" she sternly said. "Earth, Vestal, Gundalia, Neathia and New Vestroia must remain untouched by their influence!"
Maia looked up at Zavanna and growled at her. "How dare you talk to my master like that? I shall…!"
Daro outstretched is arm out in front of her. "Maia… that is enough…" he looked to Zavanna and his eye rings were shining bright yellow. "Zavanna… I shall tell the High Council what you said… but rest assured… this isn't over… not even close." He transported away from them along with Maia.
Zavanna was panting from the adrenaline rush that she just had. She had just made sure that she would never be welcomed back to Fabrega...
Bearth was giving a tired chuckle. "I've never had to battle like that in a long time." He turned to Aisha. "That was exceptional, Aisha."
The girl bobbed her head and smiled. "Thanks Bearth, but I couldn't have done it without your muscle." She looked to Zavanna who was still. "And not without Zavanna." She walked over to her and tapped her shoulder. "Hey… are you okay…?"
A long sigh of relief was heard before Zavanna turned to Aisha with a neutral expression. "I cannot believe I just did that..." Cameron, Jayden and Vesta ran over to the girls while Garfield, still in his glum mood decided to walk to them.
"THAT WAS AMAZING!" Cameron yelled with stars in his eyes.
"I can't believe I just did that…" Zavanna repeated.
"Oh… I'm sorry… I guess you can't really go back home right." Aisha said.
"No… you do not understand…I…I…"
Cameron started to get worried because he saw her body start to shiver. "Zavanna?"
"I… I liked it!" she said as she turned around, Cameron, Jayden, Aisha and Vesta turned white because of how dramatic she was being. "It is… it's as if a huge burden has been lifted off my shoulders. For the first time in a long time… I feel… free… Free to finally make my own decisions."
"W-well that's great… and you destroyed that guys robot Bakugan, I doubt we'll be hearing from him soon." Cameron said. "But the way you did it, it was so cool!" Cameron said.
"Cool…? But I don't particularly feel cold…"
"That's an expression, Zavanna." Aisha said with a large sweat drop on the side of her face. "He meant to say… well he really like seeing how you battled."
"Oh…" her cheeks became rosy. "Do you really mean that Cameron?"
"Of course, you've become really strong Zavanna."
"Well t-thank you Cameron… it was all inspired by you, you know."
"Hey, sorry to interrupt but I want to know about that Gundalian girl… the one who battled with that Fabregan creep."
"That is Hikari…" Garfield answered. "Or rather is was her." He said still looking down. "Either way… she's on their side now."
"Hey… that may be true… but that doesn't mean we should give up on her." Aisha said. "Jayden didn't give up on me so…"
"It's different!" he said raising his voice. "I met her and… she's battling for them willingly… I can't... Just forget about her, she's an enemy now." He turned his back to the rest of the team.
"Garfield…" Vesta worriedly breathed.
Suddenly a dimensional portal opened and they saw Wardington on the other side. "We'll talk about this later, but we have to get out of here." Garfield was first to walk through before Vesta followed him through to the other side. Then Jayden stopped in front of it. "After you, Aisha…" he said trying to be nice.
"Aw, what a gentleman…" Aisha though decided to push Jayden through the portal and a smirk formed on her face. "Won't be that easy, to win me back." She walked through the portal, leaving just Cameron and Zavanna.
Cameron was gazing at the dimensional rift. "Well, we should get going…" Zavanna took hold of his arm.
"Cameron… wait…before we go back… I wish to talk with you in private."
"O~kay…" Cameron agreed, not knowing what was going on.
"I don't know how to say this… but I am eternally grateful for your constant feats of kindness towards me. You saved me from falling in Neathia, opened up your home to me, and you managed to restore my memories after I said I did not remember you."
Cameron was scratching the back of his head with an awkward expression. "Aw, it was nothing…" though this situation was awkward, he was touched by her words.
"You're wrong… It's more than just 'nothing'. I have never met anyone as brave, genuine and kind-hearted as you Cameron. And I really am glad I met you."
"Aw thanks… I mean… it's great that you think of me like that, but I'm really not all that great…" he modestly replied.
"And you're modest too. That's another quality I admire… Listen I have something to give you, but doubt it will come close to repaying you for all the kindness you have shown me."
"Well whatever that gift is I'm sure…" Cameron didn't get to finish because Zavanna bent down slightly to his level and gently pressed her lips against his left cheek. Cameron was in a slightly confused daze and blushes were seen on his cheeks. "T-THAT'S THE GIFT YOU WANTED TO GIVE ME!?" he exclaimed.
Zavanna giggled in response. "No, Cameron. I-I've wanted to do that for a while…" She was slightly blushing as she said that. "The actual gift is this." She took out a small star cut emerald amulet. "This is a Trust Amulet. On Fabrega is shows that the wearer is extremely trustworthy, and that he is highly trusted by the Fabregan who had given it to the very wearer. This, Cameron is a symbol of my trust in you. I would appreciate it if you would wear it."
Cameron looked like he thought about it which prompted Blazeon to say something. "Hey… uh… you're not really going to agree to wear a necklace, are y…?"
"Okay… I'll wear it… It means a lot that you would do something like this for me."
"Thank you Cameron."
The both of them stared into each other's eyes for a couple of moments. Cameron broke this moment when he glanced at the dimensional rift nearby. "Uh… we should probably…"
"Y-yes… let's go…"
Cameron and Zavanna finally arrived on the other side and were in Wardington, just in front of the tower itself with the rest of the group.
"What were you two up to back there?" Jayden asked.
"W-WE DID NOTHING!" Cameron yelled with a red face while flailing his arms.
"O~kay then…"
"Well we're home, so what should we do?" Vesta asked.
Before they could say anything else, they heard footsteps approaching them. Moving towards them were the familiar figures of Akira and Cera.
Cameron was the first to greet them. "Akira, Cera hi!" he said waving to the pair.
"Silence…" Cera said with a bitter tone. "Cameron, Jayden…" her gold eyes glared at the two boys. "You have A LOT of explaining to do." She angrily said with flames raging behind her.
"Wait… we didn't do anything bad... did we...?" Cameron said.
Jayden nervously chuckled. "Oh we're in trouble kid…"
In a pitch dark room, a single spotlight shone on Daro. Then six other spot lights shone around him, they represented the six attributes and there were shadowy figures in those spotlights. The Pyrus attribute was empty however.
When the figures looked at Daro, he bowed to the five of them. "The High Council… Thank you for agreeing to speak with me."
"Why have you called this meeting Daro?" the Haos figure asked, as he looked like he was dressed in a robe with a priest-like hat.
"The Fabregan tower on Earth has been compromised." Daro said. "On top of all that the Earthlings that infiltrated it have proven themselves to be resilient."
"Are you trying to tell us that you and your team were bested by the humans!?" the buff Aquos figure with pointy hair asked.
"Only in my last battle, and also Zavanna has decided to help them. The humans aren't weak as we first made them out to be. She even said that I must pass this message onto you… She said that we must leave Earth alone and that Vestal, Gundalia, Neathia and New Vestroia must also remain untouched by our influence."
"Zavanna?" a tall, feminine, long haired figure questioned. She was under the Darkus spotlight. "Just like her… If she is in league with the humans… then this will be bad for us."
The large, plump figure in the Subterra spotlight asked the next question. "Well then, what do we do now?" he asked in a deep voice.
The shadow of a slightly shorter than average woman, with short, messy hair started laughing. She stood under the Ventus spotlight. "Is that even a question? We fight back obviously! I've been waiting for a good fight for a long time, and these Alursian rebels are too weak for me to fight."
"If the humans are as formidable as you say Daro… then we must take action to accelerate the invasion." The Darkus figure said.
"So you are suggesting that we launch the Core Invader?" the Haos figure asked.
"That is exactly what we must do." The shadowy figure of the woman turned to Daro. "We shall be reviewing the footage from the tower and we will make soon give your our verdict on your team's performance."
"There… can we go now? I'm hungry…" the Ventus figure whined while rubbing her stomach.
The other woman sighed. "Very well, if there is nothing else to discuss… then meeting adjourned." The spotlights turned off leaving Daro alone in the room.
"Those nosy humans!" he angrily seethed in his thoughts. "I told them that this isn't over… and that wasn't a lie! As Aeson is my witness, I will slay the humans in my next encounter." He stood up and a holographic monitor floated in front of him. "Just they wait… Earth will fall, just like Alursia!" the monitor in front of him showed the designs for a mechanical Bakugan and the title was Darkus Cybertross V2.1. "For the glory of Fabrega and our Lord, I shall not give up!"
